Opened much like Tygar but definitely more complex and interesting. Quite a bit more expensive so I don’t use it much, just bought it for my collection. Love it!

Mojito and citrusses. Not worth the price

Blatant copy of Tygar! There have been many clones of Tygar but nobody has had the nerve to charge more than three times the price of the original. I love the bottle too but why make an exact dupe Boadicea??! Provenzano also did Arrakis Spirit of Kings which is another clone of Tygar. So now he's made 2 clones of the OG. That one costs a third of the price of Tygar at least. I can never love a fragrance that is a blatant replica clone of something else.

Let me start by saying this smells really good. But it also smells almost identical to tygar by Bvlgari. Does it smell more natural and last longer, sure. But it's also 4 times the price. To my nose there is very little ambergris, which is the only ingredient I could see jacking the price of this up to one of the more expensive perfumes on the planet. If anyone reading this has read me before, I justify pricing based on concentration and ingredients used and put down those who just don't get it. This is not one of those. Even at 40 percent concentration l, as most of these higher end boadecia's usually are, this price is not justified. If in a year they discontinue, making this a limited release, then it would justify a little more. Now for the scent. The citruses on top are amazing, stick around for about 3 hours, which is good for a citrus on my skin. The dry down which sticks close to the skin last for another 3 or so and mostly is a musk and sandlewood and is very pleasant, but nothing special. IMHO buy tygar and save 850 dollars Update- ambergris matured and stands out now

Sniffing gorrila must have no nose for scents, or has never smelled most of boadicea's perfumes Christian is more then a master perfumer, he also makes very complex and unique scents. Now, tiger does not fall in that category, at least not the unique aspect. It's def a high end clone of tygar from Bvlgari. The main difference is how they get there. Bvlgari uses a larger amount of ambroxan to get their affect. Tiger uses the oils that ambroxan replicates to gain that same affect. The openings are very simular, the dry downs are where they sep separate themselves. The ambergris and patchouli stand out to my nose and give it way more complexity. Ingredients cost money, tiger has 35 percent oil concentration. Is it worth 3 times more, probably not, is it better, yes. Maybe a two times prive point would have made this more accessible. If you have the money choose this over tygar. You can have both if you really like the scent profile since you can justify spraying tygar more often.

Literally Afternoon Swim from Louis Vuitton with opening resemblance of Boadicea’s DNA. Nothing special through out the fragrance lifespan. I am very disappointed by this house latest offerings as they are just copies from others but with much arrogant price. Cannot agree more with @Executor92 that this house target people with lots of money but had limited knowledge on perfumery. Even if I didn’t know Afternoon Swim, I would’t willing to pay such ridiculous sum for Tiger as somehow I feel the ingredients used and the fragrance composition just doesn’t worth.

This should be 1/3 of the price. People selling half full bottles for 800 is absolutely ridiculous. You’re not missing out on this one. It’s not worth it.

Disgusting price tags for mediocre perfumery, amazing.

A sweet, sharp and stuffy musky citrus that is an unapologetic ripoff of Tygar by Bvlgari with even the namesake. Unoriginal and sad. It is overpriced by Bvlgari standards as fans will openly admit, by its clone in Afternoon Swim by the same perfumer Jacques Cavalier and it is most definitely overpriced here. I can't help but imagine much of the love for Boadicea's overpriced clones and fragrances are the result of people truly lost in the fragrance addiction. Those who are blind-buying expensive fragrances and convincing themselves that they love all of them just because they are expensive to avoid the buyers remorse. I know how that feels... Christian Provenzano is also a pretty crap perfumer all things considered. He clones most of the time like Christian Carbonnel (Check out his resume just for Penhaligon's for example - even the original Halfeti is a Chopard Oud Malaki clone) because none of his original formulas do well, not to mention the synthetic offerings in his own fragrance house Christian Provenzano Parfums are complete duds. Why is he suddenly a great perfumer when he makes a Boadicea or a Clive Christian? Because the price is higher..? Because of the name branding..? You tell me...

I'm sorry I can't respect this house lol. Soooo clone houses are celebrated in the fragrance community because they're the Robin Hood of fragrances. They rob the rich and deliver more affordable scent favorites to the people. Some bash clone houses for this, robbing the original creator by stealing their intellectual property, blah blah blah. Boadicea on the other hand, robs the rich to give to the richer! lol and for that they're celebrated. The house is basically a clone house with a lot of their fragrances cloning some well-known niche and designer fragrances. This one being a clone of Tygar but they didn't stop there. Listen, everyone clones Tygar, no issues there but to clone them and call it TIGER!! Like you couldn't at least get creative and pick a different name? But worse, charge more for it than the original creators! Man i can't! 😂 Anyway, i can never feel sorry for the rich, regardless who is robbing whom lol

One thing is to take inspiration of someone work and creating it differently with own soul but to particularly clone something not even that good(don’t get me wrong Tygar is great but nothing to be inspired) to just put it in a fancy bottle and putting crazy price is nuts. I can understand why Boadicea is doing it, in the end they are targeting people who come to store with a lots of money and no knowledge of other scents . Their bottles from outside doing at least 50% of the job. However perfumer who is accepting it and putting his name behind it should not be respected. It’s sad because Boadicea has some amazing offerings even those inspired but with own twist but something like this just make me not care for purchasing more from them.

Yes this smells like Bvlgari Tygar. Yes Christian Provezano is also the nose behind Arrakis by Spirit of Kings (another Tygar clone) and Sospiro Vibrato (yet another Tygar clone). So that’s 3x clones just from one nose. Not sure what’s going on here with these “master perfumers” creating inspired by / clones for multiple brands, then charging extortionate amounts. To be fair, Jacques Cavallier has recreated his own Tygar dna by way of Afternoon Swim & L’Immensité at LV. Maybe it’s just a popular formula? I’ll stick to Tygar though...

I have not tried Afternoon Swim but Tiger resembles Bvlgari Tygar. Boadicea certainly smells more natural, better blended, longer lasting and comes in a more attractive container. Boadiceas are easier to sell also should you decide to let go of them. But this one is three times the price of Bvlgari Tygar. A very beautiful fragrance nevertheless and a connoisseur with deep pockets would certainly choose to ride the Boadiceaen Tiger

My oh my... to think an overpriced dupe still sits at a a pretty decent 3.96 score even when the house makes little to no effort to hide the fact it's outright recycling the DNA from a very similarly named fragrance (and from the same master copyc- uh, sorry, perfumer).... I'll refrain from leaving a rating, since I didn't smell it, but you don't need much brain power to see what's been done here.....

I don’t disagree there is marketing in fragrance as it’s a business but to say that a house strictly targets those with money and no nose is simply untrue. Maybe certain frags do but take a look at some winners from BTV such as blue/green sapphire, nemer, Almas etc and you’ll see that’s simply incorrect..
