Torc Oud

The reviews below cover everything. Of late this has become my favourite. It does not fill up a room like Almas but has a quiet elegant presence. A beautiful pineapple, more longevity and bigger projection separates Almas from this one. Having both could be a bit redundant unless you are a Boadicea collector. Torc offers a subtle version of Almas sans the pineapple. And I prefer this to the flamboyance of Almas during visits to temples, music events because it gives a vibe of an agarwood chip burning slowly with little bit of unburnt bakhoor. Just confused how this is rated higher than almas. Both have similar facets but almas performs better for me and the dry down is very different. I don’t think it’s wrong to own both as I do :) BTV is in my top 3 houses . The amount of fragrances they release in comparison to the quality of each release is staggering. No other house is putting out so many bangers time in and time out. Props to them. Def sample both torc and almas and wait for the dry down, you’ll see what I mean. 2022 edit: this shit if fire..enough said. I love me an oud heavy fruity oud lol

Torc is 100% identical to Almas scentwise: peachy rose a la Tresor supported by gentle, woody, non-medicinal, non-barnyard oud. The only difference is the performance is slightly less than half. Almas will fill a room with one spray. I could use 2-3 sprays of Torc to the same effect. Go for the Almas extrait if you can. Otherwise, Torc is absolutely gorgeous and timeless, one of the few from BTV I find to be of real quality.

@ramsesll all of your reviews are so negative! I am wondering if you actually like any fragrances lol. Anyways, I would disagree with his review on this one. This is a unique fragrance that is intoxicating with great performance. This has gotten me numerous compliments even being a bit unique. Like @ramsesll mentioned, I do not think you should ever blind buy unless you do not mind selling or swapping often.

Its much stronger than the reviews below claim! Spray clothes and you will see it lasts a super long time. A very arabic style rose raspberry amber leather oud, great quality as expected from Boadicea. Fantastic!

A really elegant and well blended Floriental Gourmand from Boadicea, this is a perfume designed to tease your senses into happy places. The perfume opens with mostly fruity gourmand notes of strawberry, apple, orange, black currant and bergamot. The heart is floral aromatic with notes of jasmine, rose, heliotrope, iris, artemisia, cloves and saffron. The perfume settles into a powdery base of amber, oud, sandalwood, patchouli, musk and vanilla. Not exceptional by any means, this is a nice inoffensive Oriental blend that can be worn by either sexes in almost any setting. The perfume has moderate sillage and good longevity and creates a happy aura. Enjoy!

عطور عود ارستقراطي وحالم بنفس الوقت بالرغم ان العود من مكوناته ولكنه يختلف كثيرا عن عطور العود الاخرى قلت حالم للدلاله على انه عطر ناعم رقيق هذا العطر سيموفنية متناغمه متناغمه متناغمه هادئة ومعقد في نفس الوقت من اجمل عطور هذه الدار بالرغم ان لم اجربه معظمها الا ان العطر رائع ويستحق الاهتمام والتجربه تمنيت ان اكتب وصفا تحليلا ولكن الحقيقه لا اجد ان الوقت يسمح سوى لتلك الكلمات تقيممي الشخصي 9/10 ولاتخدعك ابدا كلمة عود ابدا اذا كانت كارها له فالعود هنا ربما يكون هو المفضل لديك ------------------------------ تحديث وصف موجز مطول :) للعطر: عطر شرقي! كثيراً حال سماعه لتلك الكلمة ترتسم أمامه صورة نمطية عود ثقيل او دهن عود او روز صارخ او مخلطات شرقية وان كانت كلمة شرقية كلمة مطاطية وتحمل اشكالاً عديدة من العطور، حتى احيانا قد تتفاجأ ان عطر ما هو في الاساس شرقي! هذه الايام السوق ممتلئ بعطور العود سواء من دور عربية او عالمية وكلها تحاكي بعض والقلة التي تحاول ان تخرج بتوليفة مبتكرة بل البعض يعتقد ان يجب ان يكون العود هو البطل حتى يكون يجسد روح الشرق. لن ينجح في هذا التحدي من وجهة نظري من الدور الغربية الا من هو واسع الاطلاع على الثقافة العربية والخليجية بالتحديد. روجا دوف احد الأمثلة، اجده من اولئك الذين استفادوا جدا بسبب اطلاعه على نمط العود في الشرق الاوسط ولهذا عطور العود لدية مميزة وتحمل بصمة خاصة جدا لن تجدها في علامة اخرى باستثناء ميكاليف. من الدور الرائعة في تقديم العطور الشرقية ماركة بوديكا ذا فيكوتوريز ولديها عطر جديدة الحقيقه رائع جدا اسم تورك او القلادة عطر كالبحر بهيجان موجه وسكونه بجماله وتعقيدة وأجوائه الساحرة لو ادرت مني وصفه في سطور لقت انه عطر زهري فكاهي باسلوب شرقي ارستقراطي ناعم محاط بنوتات الفخامه من العود الناعم والمسك والزعفران وغيرها من المكونات عطر تورك او عطر القلادة من بوديكا ذا فيكتوريوز والذي اراه يجسد المقولة (يكفي من القلادة ما احط بالعنق) فيكفيك من العطور الي تحيطك هذا العطر، الذي أجده من عطور العود وبين علامتي تنصيص عود ناعم ذو توليفة مبتكره ورائعة وربما من القلائل من الدور الغربية التي قدمت العود بالشكل الزهري الشرقي الناعم الرائع الذي تتوق لاستنشاق عبيره النبيل عطر معقد وستجد صعوبة في فك شفراته واكتشاف نوتاته المعلنة وستكتفي بسرد شعورك والاجواء التي يحيط بها. بدايته فاكهية ذات طابع سويتي (حلو) بفضل الكشمش والفراولة تشعر بقربها للطبيعة مع مشاركة متزنة من التفاح والبرتقال التي اعطت توازن جميل للعطر باضافة لمسة حموضة منعشة فمثلا لن تقول اوه والله الفرولة بارزه كانها حلوى او بدايته ليمونية بل بدايتة سويتية متزنه تحاكي مشروب سويتي رائع لك ان تتخيل الفيمتو مع أيام رمضان هذه رمز تعبيري هذه البداية الرائعه لن تغرد وحيدة بل هي مغلفة برباط حريري من فخم من أجواء البخور بفضل العود والمسك ذو اللمحة الانيمالك اللطيفة جدا والجلود البعيده عن شكلها المدخن مع مشاركة جميل ورائعه للزعفران الحلو ولمحة باودريةزهرية طفيفه تحاول الخروج اكثر . هذه البداية جعلتني اتذكر ولو شيء بسيطاً بعضاً من ملامح عطر عود أصفهان مع الفارق الكبير، تلك البداية الفاكهيه برباطها الحريري الفخم من العود ومكونات قاعدة العطر بدء ربطاها الحرير ينتفل ليترك الفرصة لان تخرج تلك الازهار التي هي هدية هذا العطر لتعبر عن نفسها بجمال ونعومة . الازهار في هذا العطر تميل للجانب الكريمي الباودري ذات الملامح الشرقية بفضل نوتات العود والمسك والبخور القادم من العود والجميل ان لن تلمح الروز بطابعه الليموني الحاد ولا ذلك الجانب المعتاد من رائحة الياسمين سواء السويتي الفاكهي او الانيماليك ستشعر ان تلك الازهار ذات لمحات من الفانيلا الكريمية ولمحات باردوية كلها كما لا يخفيى عليكم بفضل زهرة الهيلوتروب والسوسن بمشاركة رائعه من الفانيلا الحسية الجميلة. يختتم العطر بعبير ناعم من الاخشاب والمسك وشي خافت ممى تبقى من رائحة البخور. تقييمي الشخص لجمال الرائحة وتناغم المكونات 9/10 الثبات والفوحان امر راجع لك انت من تقييمه. الحقيقة العطر يحتاج لجلسة نقاش مطوله وانصح عشاق عطور العود الذين يرغبون بشكل مختلف سهل الاستخدام في كل وقت وحين ان يقتنصوا هذا بعض الملاحظات: النوتة الفاكهية تختلف كثيرا عن بعض العطور التي قد تستحضرها اثناء القراءه كعطر مور ذان ووردز الدقائق الأولى من العطر توحي لك ان العطر سيكون عطر بخوري فاكهي مسكي الا انه سرعان مايتاخذ الشكل الزهري الشرقي الناعم. مكونات العطر الافتتاحية : الكشمش،الفروالة،البرتقال،التفاح،البرقموت قلب العطر: الياسمين،البروز،الهيوتروب،القرنفل،الفلفل الاسود،الشيح قاعدة العطر: العنبر،المسك،العود،الجلود، الفانيلا، الباتشولي، خشب الساندل والسيدار طالما وصلت هنا لاتنس ابداً ودائما ذكر الله والصلاة على النبي وتقبل الله منا ومنكم الصيام وصالح الاعمال.

Torc oud is beautiful oriental fragrance with fruity and floral elements. The fragrance open with fruity notes, many fruity notes are listed but I can’t detect them separately as they come together to form a beautiful creamy sweet fruity combination, the rose is also prominent in the opening and it is beautifully blended with the fruits. There are hints of sweet floral notes that are combined with the vanilla in the heart, the fragrance drydown to a beautiful combination of soft oud, smooth soft suede leather, amber and powdery musk. I also detect a creamy Sandalwood in the drydown as well. This fragrance is very similar to Almas from the same house, the main differences that I found were that Almas fruity notes are not sweet creamy, the main fruity note in Almas is the realistic pineapple (nothing like Aventus) and the performance was a little bit better in Almas.

As with most Boadicea fragrances, they throw together a boatload of notes of which I struggle to identify. And as with most Boadicea fragrances they blend them perfectly. This is no exception by any stretch. A true masterpiece in my book. I gues I'm getting a somewhat fruity Oud but not sweet by any means, a perfect masculine scent. Sorry Ladies, no offense intended.

Cypriol, clove and cinnamon spiced rose with patchouli, sandalwood and grainy textured amber. I don't know what the price of a full bottle is but I know Boadicea's usual prices. Considering that, even Molton Brown's (yes, you read that correctly) Rose Dunes is a better option in this style for a reasonable price.

Fruity aromatics with spice and florals. Artemsia always reminds me of fougeres, but in this one it doesn't particularly. A smooth and elegant amber floral with a strong ionone background. Definitely more busy than many of their other offerings and will give it a few wearings to see if its a keeper.

Your typical oud. Performance is average. Not unique. Why this one is at this price is beyond me. My gf did not care for it either. Do not blind buy
