Valiant

There are a lot of floral-amber fragrances out there that try to feel elegant and uplifting. Valiant doesn’t try. It just is. From the first spray, it’s bright and smooth, opening with a golden wave of ylang-ylang and orange flower that immediately sets the tone. It has the kind of radiance that feels opulent, not because it’s trying to impress you, but because everything is balanced exactly where it needs to be. One of the main reasons I love this fragrance is because of how it handles ylang-ylang. That note would honestly be one of my all-time favorites if it weren’t for those subtle dirty undertones it sometimes carries. But here, those facets are almost completely gone. What’s left is smooth, rich, and floral in the best way. What really makes the scent work, though, is how effortlessly it layers. Just as the florals start to mellow out, you get a very comforting and buttery orris-and-tonka combo. The cherry blossom cools everything down like a breeze. Nothing feels like it’s fighting for the spotlight, though the ylang-ylang does stand a little taller than the rest, which again, I don't have a problem with at all. Even the citruses stay in their lane. They add a delicate shimmer in the background that actually sticks around longer than you’d expect. The drydown is my favorite part. It goes into this soft, almost skin-like warmth, with tonka, amber, and sandalwood melting into the floral sweetness. The way it transitions feels smooth and natural, and it stays beautiful the whole way through. There's never a rough moment, no jarring phase; just a steady, elegant unfolding from top to base. The performance is solid too. It’s not a beast, but it lasts easily 10-12 hours on me with a soft but noticeable trail that feels luxurious and polished. Valiant is one of those fragrances I reach for when I want to feel good about everything — how I’m dressed, how I smell, how the day’s going. It just fits. Uplifting without being sugary, classy without being stiff, floral without being delicate. I know the price is insane — completely out of reach for most — but if we’re just talking scent, this is honestly one of the most beautifully composed fragrances I have ever worn. If you ever get the chance to smell it, even just a sample... do it. This one’s worth remembering. This I one of the most beautiful and unique scents I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing in a couple of years. The only other scent that made my jaw drop was hanuman and Blue Sapphire.These notes are very interesting and the longevity was days, I smelled it on my jacket days after only a single spray. However having said that, I truly genuinely wish the price was just a little bit lower than what it is. I know of at least 8 people right now that would buy this immediately if the price were around 500 and not over 1k. All that aside, this is one of my favorite scents of al time. This truly is a masterpiece. It’s hard to put into words what this smells like. Sure I could be like everyone else and start listing off notes one at a time for this particular perfume but I think it would be an injustice to Mr. Christian Provenzano. When I spray this, to me it smells like Mediterranean royalty, think of being in Southern France, Sicily or Greece, your in the middle of a field that’s only a stones throw away from the Sea, you are with your royal administration and all around scattered throughout this field are various exotic flowers, and citrus trees. As you stand there in the sun with your royal entourage a cool breeze from the Mediterranean Sea blows over you, you get wafts of water, salt, flowers and citrus, perhaps the faintest scent of tobacco from a fishermen down by the surf. This scent introduced me to Christian Provenzano and I am truly grateful. Cheers

I received a sample of Valiant in connection with another Boadicea purchase, and this is one of the most beautiful orris/iris forward florals that I have sampled as of late. Per usual, Boadicea did not reinvent the wheel here, they just took a mass appealing blend and elevated it magnificently. The ylang-ylag shines through the opening and gives a bright, sunny floral entrance. Then as it dries down, the cherry blossom and orris emerge to cool things off and create an intoxicating sweet cloud. The cherry Blossom and orris are the dominating notes here (despite all the other interesting accords), and the stars of the show. The combo together actually reminds me of a warmer, less boring (obviously better) version of Chanel Comete without the massive dose of adelhydes. The contrast of the buttery orris and the cool cherry blossom makes you feel like you are wearing 2-3 amazing perfumes at once. The projection and longevity also deserve a nod, one small spray from a 1.5ml sample and Valiant is still projecting off the back of my hand as I type this review almost 3 hours later. Being that the performance is outstanding in terms of longevity / projection, plus the fact that Valiant could easily replace 3-4 floral forward niche perfumes in ones collection- I do think it is worth the splurge for someone looking for an end-game all-in-one year-round floral perfume. It certainly is on my short list!

This frag is a thing of beauty. It occupies the same family tree as the likes of Reflection, The forward & other creamy fresh type frags and oozes class. Walking down the street wearing this while dressed in classy summer clothes gives you a vibe unlike no other. You feel just great. It's expensive AF but luckily found a bottle for under half retail price & if you can get it for that value, it's more than worth it. Performance is fair, I find some days it performs better than others & as for mass appeal, surprisingly no one has really commented on it so far but my mum, who isn't easily wowed, really liked this one. I rarely ever get a compliment from her so this is a good sign haha. To be fair though, scents sometimes take a while before they start getting comments/compliments as happened with Vibrato, God of fire & Pacific chill, all of which took multiple wearings before getting noticed. I think thus could be the same because it does smell absolutely regal. This may turn into a love at some point, I'll see how it does for the rest of Spring but so far, what a classy & elegant yet appealing vibe this commands. EDIT- Yes, it does indeed garner compliments & not just basic ones, but very enthusiastic ones! A definite king.

Valiant is the scent to wear when you want to smell glorious, The set of notes was meticulously chosen here, starting with a bright citrus cocktail where orange blossom shines, displaying a dense creaminess that is further support by the juicy nectar of mandarin oranges. As the fragrance begins to unfold on skin, the main floral accords take center stage, a powdery orris in combination with cherry blossom meets rich ylang ylang infuse their sweet floral aroma with pronounced fruity nuances into the creamy orange blossom achieving a blend of intoxicating proportions and everlasting radiance, awakening like sunshine. Valiant gets sweeter and even more seductive as it continues to evolve on skin, with the addition of a sensual vanilla driven amber wrapped around milky sandalwood displaying an essence of ethereal beauty, so incredible that it is nearly impossible to do it justice in a single write up, only one thing is for sure here, Valiant is the olfactive definition of smelling “Victorious”, is beyond special, a one of a kind creation, trust and believe, I promise you, once it reaches your skin, it would conquer your heart.

I was very curious to try it and friend of mine sent me a small decant. I really wanted to hate it, especially for the price. But the fragrance it is so beautiful. Its warm, its comforting. The Orange blossom and Ylang is the most noticeable to my nose and cherry blossom makes it softer and more feminine. This is very feminine scent and very lovely. So I tried the Dua Valor and next day Im smelling both strips and they're super close, not the same, I think Ylang is more noticeable in original and its also more airy and soft ( I dont mean the performance, performance is amazing). I also asked 4 people around me without telling them which on is which and all 4 picked Dua Valor. I dont know if my judgment effected by the price...lol...but i do prefer Valiant, I think its better blended, but I wont be disappointed with just owning Dua Valor, I mean I would be super happy if someone gifted me Valiant but I wont be purchasing it myself for that price. I cant say anything bad about this fragrance besides the price, its worth at least experiencing.

This is a masterpiece. Those with negative reviews below are based solely on price instead of scent quality, performance and general appeal. This is blended to perfection. Not one note stands out more than the rest. The is a real reason for the hype. Having said that, I can understand why some are shocked at the price. However, this is a LUXURY fragrance and house. This fragrance is for the collector or those who have 1,200 USD to spare and want to smell like it! I used to try to savor this fragrance to make it last but I realized with the amount of full bottles I own I will probably never run out of this. Even wearing often, you only need 4 sprays and that may even be overdoing it at times! Anyways, if you truly appreciate quality raw materials and want a luxurious fragrance to smell refined whiled smelling rich: this is for you..

I first tried this fragrance in Moscow in April and loved it at first sniff. It is unbelievably well-constructed, smooth, rich and beautiful, very long-lasting with a gorgeous dry-down. I did not buy it though since the price seemed too steep - and then came to regret it because it was not available either in the United States or in Europe. However, I was haunted by the sweet memories of this magic scent to the point that I got a friend of mine from Moscow, who is a sympathetic "perfumaniac", to but it for me. Today is the day - the Valiant Horses have made their way across the ocean into my eager hands! What can I say? To me, this is one of the most amazing perfumery creations I have encountered in my life. I am too overwhelmed to analyze it - but why should I? Olfactory bliss - this phrase says it all!

I tried it yesterday at Cascades Luxury while buying my Boadicea Defender. I sprayed it on my wrists at 6pm and now 5am I can still smell it on my wrists...it lasted overnight. It is citrusy-floral-creamy woody and I loved it immediately. But I am not ready to pay £850-900 (over N1.9 million in Nigeria) for a 100ml bottle. Not yet. That amount would buy me a Boadicea Defender, Amouage Jubilation 40 and Amouage King Blue. I give it 8/10 because of the high price. But the quality and scent are top notch. Update: 22nd May, 2026 I finally took the plunge and bought a full bottle. Crazy expensive but I just couldn't resist it anymore. It kept pulling me like magnet everytime I visited the stores where it's tester was available. So I made things easier for myself and took home a bottle.

To start my review, I LOVE this perfume. A while ago i tried Valiant side by side with Electimuss Vixire and i decided to go with Vixire becuase it was a lot cheaper and had good performance but lately every time i use Vixire i get bored really fast... i guess it is the combination of musk and powder so i decided to give Valiant another go and man was i wrong about Valiant. Valiant is much smoother with a better blend of woods and floral notes and i have been using it from samples for over a month and it is never boring so i went for a full bottle and sold my Vixire bottle. The only down side about Valiant is the price... It is waaaay overpriced so i had to wait for offers and discounts to buy it. 5-DEC-2021

Well blended, but dare I say it leans a bit basic (or meh) for something positioned at this level. It doesn’t quite hit that Roja caliber of blending I would expect at this price point for this brand. I can see how some might enjoy it, but for me it came across a bit generic and ultimately left me wanting more. I definitely love several other fragrances from this house, but I don't understand the hype around this one -- no doubt these are high quality ingredients, I just would expect higher tier blending and more of a "wow" factor. People really seem to love this one though....maybe it is just me.

I am not a fan of Boadicea the Victorious as a brand because I think most of their fragrances are basic and way overpriced. This is the latter unfortunately. But this is most definitely not a basic fragrance. This is OUTSTANDING. Easily one of the best niche fragrances. Top 5 of all time in my opinion. Wow wow wow. Valiant is such an elegant and classy perfume that smells rich. If you can afford this gorgeous scent, BUY IT. I would even say this is safe enough for a blind buy, but of course, with a price tag of £900, I wouldn't recommend it. I rate Valiant by Boadicea the Victorious 10/10.

This is beautiful I can smell so many different things. I love the bottle also is so pretty. I will either get a full bottles from a discounter or I will get the travel size again when the one I have runs out. I need it there when I want to put it on to have it. I will try opera next to it and Angel au demon and see how similar they are.

A bunch of cry babies when it comes to prices 😂😂 just buy dupes then you people cry about everything an most of you haven’t even tried it you just know you don’t have the money so you have nothing positive to say because certain frags don’t fit your price range. All frags aren’t meant for everybody that’s the beauty of it all

a great fragrance. has a nice soapy, vintage smell. smells like what i would imagine the 1940's to have smelled like. the citrus and floral notes are blended together very nicely. i will admit the opening is a bit rough, but the drydown smells fantastic

Comparing this to the synthetic Vixere Electimuss or the jelly fruit bottles of xerjoff or Sospiro is a joke . Valiant is unique and extremely luxurious with excellent performance To me it’s one of the best fragrances ever made by Boadicea .

i got a sample, then i got a travel size atomizer and a decant and then i had to go for a bottle. This is a stunning masterpiece. This is so addictive and hypnotizing that i had to get it and wear it on special occasion. So transportative.

Happy, sunny bright day in a bottle. Very long lasting. Reminds me of a very old shampoo called dream my mother used to wash my hair with it when I was a little girl. Reminds me a lot of LV’s Sun Song perfume

absolutely and utterly intoxicating, stunning, 10/10 masterpiece. Ridiculous price, but there will not be anyone smelling like you for hundreds if not thousands of miles

Got a 10ml miniature recently. If I’d have to paint a picture based on the smell, it would be rays of sunshine in spring, when you start to feel that the sun is getting energy and warms up your skin. It also gives me the impression of a soft yellow color. And of course, you smell the flowers that start to blossom around you. I also associate the smell with a five star beach resort for some reason. Maybe a mix of super luxurious sunscreen and flower decorations all around while zipping your champagne. My gf associates this one with old granny, I can see a little bit of that in the opening where the powderiness is more present. She says it smells very thick and that it would probably choke her out in summer. With the focus on flowers, I would also say it’s female leaning. I look forward trying it throughout the different seasons, it’s around 0 Celsius here rn. The 10 ML will easily last me for a year, because you literally need only 1 spray. The performance on this is exceptional, especially sillage is crazy. I only applied one spray in the morning and when my gf came home in the evening she said the whole room smells like it... personally I would prefer if this one had some other notes to balance all the sweetness - maybe some vetiver or oak moss. BTV is really good with those notes as well. That would make it a 10/10.

Tasteful and gorgeously balanced cherry and soft wood. White musk keeps cherry from being cheesy. Incense spice and melon creaminess. Rare for fruity notes to be so classy. Takes a little time for formal notes to stop bullying the elements that pop/sing, but does harmonize beautifully. My pet peeve is powder/soap/shampoo and this doesn’t bother me. Uniquely exquisite and easy to like. Almost bottle worthy, if not for exorbitant price. Very happy I bought a sample and will likely get another. 1ST REVIEW: Opens fresh/clean and mild wood. Gorgeous warm creaminess is impossibly appealing. Super clear soapy/stale/musky east Indian wood cuts in like a knife. May not sound flattering, but is uniquely intriguing. I’m sensitive to soap/shampoo, but it’s used well here. Earthy sandalwood bazaar radiates creamy mandarin spice. Subtle and sexy while unique/different. Absolute perfect combo of citrus and sexy darkness. Also projects jasmine. Angry this is actually one-of-a-kind and worth owning because the price is so stupid. Many suitable clones since overpriced (gatekeeping art so only the rich can enjoy is classist/evil).

This is a hug from a man you are in love with during a tropical summer holiday. It’s sexy: crisp, tropical, sweet but not sticky or sugary, clean with a slight citrusy freshness. It definitely smells like something i imagine a wealthy playboy would wear. It’s not unisex to me as it leans very masculine so naturally, it would be great on men. It’s a modern fresh scent without the annoying barbershop scent profile that is typically in men’s fragrances but it is very luxurious, daring and sexy! EDIT: 10/10 and I would recommend it because it does smell great and projects well. It certainly reads classy and sexy and would make a great summer scent. But could be worn all year round as a signature. It’s winter and I just smelled it again a couple hours ago and it was still projecting fine. Dragon is more feminine and I adore it on myself. Valiant is for the boys!

Lovely modern woody floral designed as a chypre. The scent opens with the freshest burst of citruses including orange, grapefruit and petitgrain leading to a lovely floral bouquet of a heart comprised of jasmine, rose, ylang, iris, neroli and cherry blossom. The scent settles on an intoxicating powdery bed of sandalwood, amber, patchouli, vanilla and tonka bean. The unisex scent has a very pleasing disposition, moderate to strong sillage and excellent longevity. This is a scent which will find very few to displease. One however has to address the price which is a bit insane, but you are paying mostly for one of the most beautiful to behold gold plated pewter glass bottles in perfume history. In any other bottle, the scent would be a fifths of its price. Enjoy!

Beautiful scent, high quality juice, massive sillage and performance, but price? Big no. Not worth half of what it's sold for. Opera Grande by Sospiro is a clone.

Clean, "expensive soapy" fragrance that is Ylang-ylang forward on my skin. its presence persists almost throughout the life of the fragrance. This is a pleasant scent, no doubt, but there are other alternatives that are way more sensibly priced than this. With 5 sprays, intimate scent bubbles ~ a foot in radiation for 1 hours, then subsides into skin scent. At least it makes me feel very clean and well groomed. Nothing interesting to invoke feelings and emotions.

Currently wearing Valiant. This is my second attempt. First time I wore it (which was months ago), I detested it. Right now it’s OK. To me it’s really dated and old fashioned. I’m absolutely blown away at how expensive this fragrance is. Thankfully I only bought a sample, which was way too costly for how it smells. What are all its fans getting from this frag that I’m not?

Not at all unique. In absolutely, positively no way is this worth half of the asking retail price of $1240. In fact, the opening is a dead ringer for houbigant quelques fleurs ( more garden than royal or original and no where near as complex), with a bit of amber in the base. The dry down is adjacent to the ubiquitous roja base ( the sweeter, no pencil shavings variety).

To me, this is a sweet masculine fragrance. It's nothing I, as a mature woman, would consider wearing. I would give it to a nephew. The citrus, patchouli, and sweet vanilla are prominent to my nose. EDT: Actually, it turns more vanilla-floral and more femme as it dries down. If you told me it was a Burberry I probably would believe it.

Save your money, Curacao Bay's mid and drydown is very similar to Valiant.

This is classic Ivory soap in a bottle and I couldn't stand it from the first sniff. Made me almost throw up (sorry if that sounds over dramatic but it's true). Horrible soapy/vintage vibe for me. Now, if you like the smell of classic Ivory, this is your scent for sure, so go for it!

I have had a sample of this and complex for a while, and I keep going and smelling valiant, to try and smell that $1000+ or £1000 (whether your in the US or UK £v$ its above the 1000 mark) but I CAN NOT smell the 1000 plus worth of components in this, to me I definitely smell the ylang-ylang and citrus its sweet orange, but it's not "sour" I definitely get fruits and white floral notes, except from that (and before I say what I'm going to say I have a good nose I have smelt many fragrances, as well as raw materials, many essential oils, and I really like the heavier more difficult fragrances, like your middle-eastern oriental, or in general a heavier overall fragrance but I also appreciate the lighter italian and french perfumery) but this smells old style, classical but feminine leaning to me it can be pulled off by a male but probably only with a suit, but I can't smell the wood components and in my opinion the "classical feminine leaning quality" does remind me of an older woman, yes unfortunately this is "Grandma-ish". Try it for your self, this is definitely not a blind-buy even if you own a mansion, and after a perfumer reviewed a fragramce by BTV (the same brand) he said that what he had smelt (I think it was Rose Sapphire) didn't smell like it was 300-500, this confirms what I have been thinking after doing a bit of research - that a big part of the price, is the bottle and outer packaging and feel free to correct me but the outside of the bottle has thin gold plating? If not I'm sure the packaging is a big part maybe most of the 1000+ £'s or $'s. But the question is what is the cost of the actual fragrance inside the bottle, is it actually way less? What would push people to buy this brand even more, would probably be if they start to do what killian does; offer just the liquid in a bottle that is still nice and "luxurious" but more plain and affordable, then they would see an influx in sales, it wouldn't have been a huge issue if they had put the ultra rare kinam or Assam oud in there (even in trace amounts) or a bunch of components to add more body/texture like a rare white rose absolute, and some rare citrus fruit, then I would probably say to myself yes I can see why this is priced at that point and somewhere down the line, I would have to pull the trigger, but no. The only thing that is "luxurious" which would give this a floral-powdery and a very, very, very very slight etheral blueness is the Orris, but I only smell the ylang-ylang a few citruses specifically sweet orange, a few other faint citrus fruits, some creaminess or milkness mixed with powder all as one note again this is probably the orris but it's not a main player in this and doesn't do much. So citrus, powder milkiness mixed with white florals and orange a bit like a luxurious ice - cream with orange somehow combined together, if they had added those other notes that I had mentioned thien I would have said "ok I can kind of see that this price is warranted" but no. But try it for yourself.

I bought a decant to see what the hype was all about, and at £850 a bottle, I really didn't want to like it, but I do, I REALLY do. It's the most well executed blend of notes I've experienced for a couple of years. It's an apothecary on the borders of a tropical beach and citrus plantation... It opens with a pretty bright explosion of 'white' grapefruit and Ylang Ylang, but the Orris comes up quickly giving a slightly medicinal vibe... All of this rides in on the always present, but subtle mandarin (which is usually overpowering when a fragrance opens - not here though). Drys down to a nice sandalwood and slightly powdery tonka and sits close to the skin for the 2 or 3 hours that it remains 'alive'. Silage is pretty tight as is projection, so at the price, this is a self indulgence. I'm not saying other people won't smell it, it's an attention grabber at close quarters make no mistake, but it's definitely not a 'hey look at me' scent, which some may want for this kind of dinero. If someone's wearing Aventus or Baccarat Rouge, they're going to outgun you, but a yuppy clubbing fragrance this is not! If somebody is lucky enough to get in close, there's way more for them to discover. It's also a little bipolar, whereas it opens as a masculine fragrance and drys to a feminine one... Possibly a sign of the times, and right on zeitgeist. I dig that! Time of year: Summer Time of day: Late afternoon to witching hour Transports you to: Highbrow beach party Compliments?: Whoever wears this probably isn't looking for them Colours: White/Pale orange I'm now going to order a decant of Curacao Bay to see if it's as close as people say, as I can't justify the cost, but man, I wish I could.

If my memory serves me, BTV’s Valiant is only the third occasion in my fragrance journey that a neroli heavy fragrance has not come across as too “white floral”. One instance was Creed’s Green Neroli where the name speaks for itself. The other was BDKs Sel d’Argent which featured a soothing lavender “neroli”. This has several (smooth) complexities that I see as a pink neroli. Blended in such a way that nothing truly sticks out, this opens with some citruses that accompany (and give depth) to white florals. An orris butter smooths and grounds it. A greenness from petitgrain gives it a vibrant edge. I suspect the cherry blossom gives it the “pink” color and softness that I mentioned above. The transition from the top to the mid is done in such a way that it never feels like the top notes “faded”. Rather, it feels like the florals simply came into focus. At roughly 45 minutes, the “pink” nature still presides but the base starts to show. It holds onto a carefully placed “spine” of the petitgrain, but the richness of the tonka, vanilla, and amber start to rise. Sandalwood contributes to a soft and powdered woody foundation. What has become increasingly evident to me is that BTV continues to elevate what we thought we knew of certain notes and accords through blending and quality of ingredients. In this instance, they have elevated neroli through a masterclass in “familiar creativity”.

Apparently, Pierre Gasly uses this perfume; well, he has great style. Valiant is an absolutely gorgeous scent, long-lasting, perfect sillage, elegant but modern at the same time. I am a big fan of Xerjoff's Opera, so no wonder I like this too. I think in the dry down, these two scents are very similar. Even though the notes are very different, they do feel similar, so If you like Opera I recommend you try this. There is this sweet creamy orris note that I really like. The quality of ingredients is truly pressent, the scent is crafted to precision, very well balanced. This does not feel airy, it is more dense perfume. And even thought the sweetnes of perfume might feel very prominent, I find this perfume perfectly unisex. It's warm not too floral, the zestyness of citrusy notes is present just in the begining. Although the price seems like a joke, somehow I can justufy the price because the scent really gives quality and niche and luxury. Yes I do believe you pay for the name in some way, but I think ingredients used in this scent are truly top quality.

I never knew that Valiant was this good until today. I have had it for some time now, alongside Nebulous and Green Sapphire. I always gravitated towards Green Sapphire because it suited my taste for more noticeable scents. I thought Valiant was too soft and was even considering passing it on. But it's been six hours since I put four spritzes on me, and my wife can't stop gushing about the perfume. I left the house by 9.00 am and returned by 1:00 pm. She says the wafts keep popping up at different corners of the house, and she could still smell it on her hand from the mild contact she had with me earlier in the day. Honestly, I didn't know Valiant was this strong. I had always thought it was a soft floral fragrance. Could it be that it came alive today because of the heat? It's been a very hot day today and the perfume is still projecting like I just sprayed it. I can still smell this beautiful floral fruity cloud around me. Not too loud, but enough to be noticed by anyone who comes around me. Valiant is a beautiful perfume. Now I know.

I have never written a bad review on a fragrance before but I must do so in this case. I place an order for Valiant through the UK online store. They require you pay through paypal. A week goes by and I did not receive my order so I chatted them through whatsapp to get an update on my order. Come to find out they cancelled it. I asked why and they said "It happens". That was strange so I asked if it "just happens" a lot. To which they replied with a blurb on their company policy which is to cancel orders if you intend to make samples out of their fragrances for profit. UMMM...how in the world would they just decide that is what I was going to do and cancel my order. Have never sold a sample of anything in my life. I don't care how much they charge for their fragrances...if a customer is willing to spend 1300 bucks for a bottle, they should at least have the decency to treat their customers better. I WILL NEVER purchase another one of their fragrances....EVER.

Quick update: I have it on my hand, right now I'm inside, it's warm but its currently winter, and this is a summer fragrance this is not really really really "grandma-ish" but it still smells "elderly rich lady" - feminine leaning, I took out some oud oil this is King Cambodi by Ensar Oud, ( this is sweet creamy, much lighter wild Oud compared to others) rubbed the oil and valiant together and I said that's all it needed, the oud leans it back into the unisex realm, were a man with a suit can wear, (so me if i suit up, I still would layer like I did with oil) as well as a woman at any time, if they add a dash of oud to this, it will never happen, but then once again it would warrant the price and help to add richness and texture and smoothness and if it it is the right oud it will play in the background help to project but it will amalgamate with the fragrance composition and the fragrance will still keep its lightness but have a bit more body.

I smelled a sample of this last week, was underwhelmed and kind of let down considering the hype and the price. Today I sprayed this on a test strip, Oud Sapphire on another and Blue Sapphire on another. The scent of those Sapphire profiles in contrast to Valiant piqued my interest to revisit the fragrance on skin. I sprayed Blue Sapphire on one arm and Valiant on the other and it’s like my nose can pick up the nuances of the fragrance and actually experience the quality. Fresh, citrusy floral, teetering on the line of soapy with a few gourmand-ish notes in the base. This could easily be a signature scent and can be worn in most situations/seasons. I try not to pay full price for anything outside of fragrances that can’t be found at discounters (Louis Vuitton, certain private lines, etc) and this is no exception. Overall beautiful scent, beautiful presentation and is at least worth sampling

@COSMICSCENTS: I’m really not sure about that concept you’re referring to with respect to the Zodiac, etc, but it is an interesting one though. I just got a 5ml sample/decant of this fragrance about a week ago and I must say that Boadicea does indeed do some rather glamorous offerings. This scent seems so simplistic when you break down those three basic notes/components [to my nose]: Vanilla, Orange Blossom & Ylang-Ylang..... However, in typical Boadicea fashion, when Parfumeur Christian P. goes to work in the lab and starts working his magic, the overall blend becomes so so much more incredibly complex, deep and well-constructed... Yeah guys, I know, that price tag is truly daunting, but believe me when I say, these guys didn’t chest us when it comes sheer QUALITY of raw materials as well as just putting the work to give us something “magically delicious”!!!😋👏🏼🥰
