Mackie for Men

I love this! It smells like my dad when he'd be getting ready to take my mom on a date in the 80s 90s. Zest bar soap, Speed Stick Regular, and Drakkar Noir. I'm a 37-year-old woman and I could see 3 generations of men wearing this. Although sweet or oud is big right now, especially for those discovering fragrance for the first time, something about this smells timeless. Men of all ages that have been in my life have smelled like this. More of a warm weather scent to me. But that's personal preference, as I suspect this performs well in the cold, too. The bottle is cool! The juice matches my Bob Mackie garments, which endears it to me even more 💚 I think you can't go wrong for less than $10 invested. Is it masculine? Definitely. But so are pants, and I look great in those. So I plan on wearing this when the mood strikes. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Fresh, sporty, citrusy, green fragrance with a touch of masculine floral in the drydown. Nothing mind blowing but certainly worth the $10-14 at online discounters. It's kind of generic so if you have a large fragrance collection of freshies this will remind you of some others in your collection. For me it's a lot like Puma Green but less grassy, and very close to Eternity but less floral. Mackie for Men is Perfect for guys this time of year (Spring) when outside activities return. I wore it to the gym yesterday and got a compliment from a cardio bunny (excuse the gym talk) which was a little surprising because it's nothing special. But I do enjoy it because it truly does remind me of Spring.

The more hate this juice gets the more I want to wear it. Mackie is perfect for Spring it's so green and performs better than many high ticket fragrances. But yeah it gets a lot of hate. Bring it.

I found this after searching “fougere” scents. Why? Because I am very curious about scent categories, and why they fall where they do. Thus far I understand some, but am still confused by others. So this fragrance is a great citrus scent, bright with some flowers and wood that softly balance things. It lasts a good six hours and projects fairly well for four plus hours. A clean soap type fragrance, it will not impress, but it is also inoffensive. I bring this up, as in my opinion, I would gladly buy this over Mugler Cologne, the “legendary” green juice. This is not as good scent wise, but it performs much better and if the goal is a nice clean scent for casual wear this is the less expensive option. It is different than most summer offerings, and has that hidden shock value of being an old fragrance that most would scoff at. I have Mugler on one arm and Mackie on the other, Mugler already has gone soft and more skin scent, while Mackie is settling down but still projecting. I bought Mugler due to countless reviews stating how great it is, to each their own, but put snobbery aside and take a risk on Bob Mackie for men, it will do its job in your summer rotation. Cheers

As time has passed, I did a revisit to this one today. David_S Love the review, made me laugh. I certainly get the Eternity vibes people noted, it is a Fougere oriented offering. This however really has a bright citrus spin to it that dominates over the herbal notes. It’s a classic scent profile with a bright enough spin that it wears well for today. No, it doesn’t have a “wow” factor, but it’s not likely to offend anyone either. Ultimately you’re just going to smell nice, and for the price it’s perfectly OK. Gift some to your Dad.

That bottle might be twisted, but this an aggressively generic fragrance that's the dictionary definition of "dad cologne". Not for you, if you're a dad, but for your dad, or your dad's dad. In fact, this is what you could smell like if you took ten of your dad's friends' colognes (never perfume) and put them in a blender, and then drank the pitcher on the way to the golf course, drunkenly weaving around random pets and pedestrians. It celebrates its mediocrity, and that's sort of awesome in itself.

This is great value for the price. It is like a light cologne version of CK Eternity EdT and a bit of Carolina Herrera for Men 1991. This has a pleasant green scent that is 80's retro style. Great for everyday, casual and gym wear. Nice cologne.

This smells, to me, like a "light" L'eau D'Issey. Very crisp in the beginning, but about two hours in, it turns into what some have described as a plastic, vanilla doll head. I couldn't make the connection until I purchased this, waited for the dry down and got exactly that: one of my sister's dolls from long ago. I really enjoy the opening, but the dry down just isn't for me, so this has been relegated to my "workout scent". Longevity is moderate on my skin, lasting about 4 hours, but on my shirt, it'll last a few days, although you'll have to put your nose very close to get a whiff. Sillage is also moderate, with about 4-6 sprays.

It's funny and I realized it just now. After I read @Pryvycy's comment about @PudgeLikeMe, I became curious and revisit my bottle. And true enough, it smells like it LOL :). Like a newly manufactured rubbery plastic dolls back in the days, with heads you can detach and reattach to its torso. I wore this back in '96 and I thought its a decent scent for a good price. You can't expect too much on this one but more or less, you can rely on it. I can see why some folks were reminded of Eternity by this scent. It could be the powdery dry down but to me, not in the opening. If you make this a little sharper and a little brighter, then may be close to CK Eternity in my humble opinion. Not a bad fragrance for its price point. “Let us spread the scents of peace and kindness. I also picked this up for $8 - it is pretty good, especially at that price. It is a citrusy, floral in the opening, which morphs into a light herbal woody scent. Absolutely easy to wear, and good for really anytime or place. it is really rather pleasant, and is a little time machine back to the 90s, without feeling dated or old. I continually get wafts throughout the day, and it lasts for a good 6 hours. it is so cheap that reapplying is no big deal. I have gotten several compliments on it, and since it is not that common now, you will not smell like everyone else.

this perfume was famous in the nineties, my wife gave it to me in 1995...it wasn ́t the kind of fragrance I used to wear but I liked it anyway.I haven ́t bought it again but I would like to have it today in my collection, eventhough I prefer sweeter perfumes and this is kind of citrus..the opening was citric and powerful and the base of the notes makes me remember the fragrance of the perfume Roberto Cavalli by Roberto Cavalli which I am wearing nowadays....I recommend this one to those men who like semi citric fragrances....hugs Daniel.

For $8 I was curious... This is easily better then CK Eternity edt at this point. If you happen to still wear CK Eternity edt, find this for even cheaper and pick it up. It is, to my nose, just a touch sweeter then CKE... Nothing major.

Super low cost, good performance. The scent is slightly boring/generic. I get a clean soapy, slightly herbal almost medicinal vibe. Hardly ever reach for it but don't hate it. Nice scent for straight out of a cold shower

Yeah... Surprisingly a solid performer and doesn’t come off quite as dated as CK Eternity. I’ve been very happy with an $8 fragrance buy.. Been wearing it after evening showers and running errands.. Solid.

A great cheapie, zesty, clean, fresh, flowery, almost as if all these elements come in the form of a powder cloud.

This smells like my aftershave lmfao, I like it tho it’s classic fresh masculine scent for daily use.

Love this. Will get this for my husband, but will be borrowing it myself for sure.
