Unmistakable Mackie

I tested this with the same enthusiasm as I do all perfumes holding this certain particular aldehydic note. I have made spreadsheets trying to figure out what that "thing" is that won't release my face from a grimace. I find no pattern, rhyme nor reason. But I find myself here tonight, the first to put ink to paper on this number. I am reminded that 1 vote carries great weight, and that with great power comes great responsibility. (I tried so hard to change that last statement, so I wouldn't scare you off at full nerd, but who are we kidding? I am what I am.) For me, it carries the abominable "X" factor, and therefore, my body can't help but swat it away. However, if I take myself out of it, it's not that bad a scent....it's not that great either. I feel as if I have smelled this before, from many different houses. So it seems superfluous. Coming from Mackie, a company brazen with creative asymmetry and bold design, this seems underwhelming. The ingredients themselves seem a bit faded from repeat xeroxing, but nonetheless pleasantly fine. "Fine". That four letter word that often precludes the bargain bin. Then again, I've found a lot of treasures lost there among dust and descending prices. Ultimately it is all up to your taste - this just doesn't happen to be mine.
