Cupcake Swirl

I have looked far and wide for this fragrance locally- for months. It eluded me until last week. I was out, going to visit my mother in law. We stopped in the closest Dollar General before we got to her house. We were picking up snacks and a drink. I perused the Easter aisle before making my way towards the checkout. My husband was looking at the impulse buy section, so I turned around and eyed the beauty section for no particular reason. I turned the corner and there it was in all its cupcake, cheap body mist glory. Cupcake Swirl in a mini 3.2 fl oz bottle. It was the only one, displayed between Pink Vanilla Kiss and Cotton Candy. I didn't hesitate. I grabbed it and practically ran to checkout- my carbonated coke be damned. It seemed like hours waiting for everything to be scanned and bagged. The machine spent 3 light-years processing the payment. Finally, the cashier handed over a receipt, and I was out the door before he could say have a great day. Oh, but what a great day it was. In my excitement, I hadn't even bothered to smell or test the spray. A little dumb? Maybe but that's life. As I reached the car and sat in the passenger seat, I searched the bag with one hand while putting on my seatbelt with the other. Once my hand enclosed around the curved, plastic bottle, I dropped the rest of the bag. My husband made it to the car as I pulled the cap off. He was indifferent and started the car as usual. Once that first spray hit my nose, I was hooked. There was no going back. I would need this forever and always. No matter what. $3.75 is a small price to pay for heaven. This is sweet. So wonderfully sweet. It is a cupcake, vanilla and buttery, topped with buttercream so rich and creamy, you almost forget that it's sugar. Of course, it is sugar- LOTS of it. There is a slight spice, but it is not spicy. The spices are purely there to give the cupcake dimension and to justify the $8 for one cupcake price tag. This is heavily sugared and incredibly rich. However, it has a light, airy quality as well. I sprayed my clothes about four times, and I could still smell it hours later. My mother in law asked if I brought a cake with me. Amazing for the price point. I would easily pay the devil if he could find me another bottle. (Or you if you'd like to get rid of one.) I'll be looking for this repeatedly until I die.

This is my new obsession within my collection I’m officially an addict for this scent and will be buying a lifetime supply in this fragrance as I just can’t be without it now. I feel like such a lucky girl since my local Walmart started carrying the 8oz bottles of cupcake swirl in store so as soon as I saw it I had to grab it, I’m kicking myself for only grabbing one bottle but I was worried that the coconut note would be overpowering but I’m happy to report that that’s not the case for me, I still smell it but it’s not overtaking the fragrance as I personally hate when that happens. The lasting power on this butterry, sweet, and lightly spiced beauty has me shocked, it’s longer lasting than most of what B&BWs has put out this year alone. This one is a must try for my gourmand girlies out there, I’m on my way back to Walmart as I type this for more.

🫧 this smells like a cookie. like a buttercream cookie with coconut shavings on top , it definitely smells buttery. i just went into dollar general like 5 minutes ago and tried this and it is SO sweet i was shocked. 🫧 it’s still really loud on me, but i’ll update after maybe 20-30 minutes. it smells very gourmand, and i’m a gourmand girlie so i love it. it’s SUPER sweet though. i also smell a little spice. i kinda regret not buying it!! 🫶🏾 🫧 EDIT: 25 minutes after spraying it on. still strong on me, still loud, i’m pleased!! dollar general only had 3 left so i need to run and get on quick. they were only $3 too!! idk why but body fantasies perfumes last a while and for the price it is it’s actually shocking. i love body fantasies so much.

Can't believe I've found this perfume after 3 years !! I'm literally so happy that I've waited (I was about to buy 3 for 100€ and more from ebay 2 years ago), this would've be crazy tbh. Cupcake Swirl is a fantastic cheapie which smells like buttercream with a touch of spices (the clove). I was scared but did not mind having this clove note as it was literally my dream body mist. I also really get a very fluffy vanilla, the clove note is not disturbing at all, it enhance the scent of a cupcake ! also, it's barely present. What a perfect and cute cupcake fragrance !! Anyway, I feel so lucky right now and I'm so proud of my find :)

This is an incredible bakery gourmand scent, but like so many Body Fantasies special scents, damn hard to find. It smells like a vanilla cupcake with tons of super-sweet buttercream frosting, and just a touch of spice. This is spicier than the discontinued Bodycology Vanilla Cupcake (another personal fave), and smells mostly like the discontinued Body Fantasies Iced Cupcake. My guy says it's amazingly sexy. While you do have to over apply to get decent sillage, it lasts longer than many Body Fantasies sprays.

This is a true gourmand. It smells like cake batter. You get the cookie, cloves, buttercream, etc. However when it dries down, some sweetness does go away & you're left with a stronger ginger/clove scent. Because of that, I always pair it with my "Christmas Cookies" body lotion and mist from Bath & Body Works. The first time I wore it, it lasted about 6 hrs layered with my body oil/lotions. Regardless I've stocked up on this scent! It's very cozy and nice to wear by itself for class or a night inside.

This is one of my favorite cheap gourmand mists! I picked up the travel size for $3.50 at Dollar Tree, and after spraying it at home I made sure to pick up a few more bottles when I went back! It’s a super sweet spicy scent, and reminds me completely of frosted ginger bread cookies. The longevity is AMAZING, and I can smell it on skin for hours and on clothes it lasts for days. I was really impressed considering the cost and I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a fun cheapie! 10/10.

ohhhh my gooooodnesss! i love gourmand scents that are very rich and heavy so this is perfect for me. i was expecting it to be on the more sugary side, to me it smells like a cinnabon store in the mall! fresh cinnamon rolls with sweet frosting, or a sweet, spicy cupcake with vanilla frosting! it definitely had warmth and a cakey type of smell to it. so so so good but don’t get it if u don’t enjoy cinnamon notes! genuinely so addicting, every time i wear this, i fall in love with it even more!🧁

I love this spray! I had just gotten it at Rose's for 2.99, and when I smelled it, I fell in love. I usually go for sugary sweet or floral because that's all I know, but this was a great intro. I used it, and little brother and cousin jumped on me cause it smelled so good. It also smells similar to Cheirosa '71, and honestly, I'm glad I don't have to spend $40 for something I could buy for WAY less

Hey! So this is actually fire. I wouldn’t say it’s exactly like a cupcake swirl; it’s more just the dough of the vanilla cupcake itself. Picture fresh, plain cupcakes out of the oven. It smells buttery, sweet and a little vanilla-y. Knowing Body Fantasy’s, this is probably not going to last more than an hour, however it does layer well with Milk by B&BW, and SDJ 71.

This smells absolutely devine on me. Imagine sitting outside on a warm day and eating a cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting. It's very sweet and on me, the "spice" notes are not really noticeable on my body. It lasts about 5 hours so I would recommend pairing it with a similar stronger perfume. Overall, very happy with this. One of my new favorites ♡

i sprayed some of this fragrance from a little travel sized bottle of this scent and it was the most creamiest spicy vanilla cupcake fragrance i smelled. this lasted for like several days which i was appalled by, however it did instead smell like chocolate. needless to say i am not complaining and i will try to buy this!

ok this is crazy for Three dollars at walmart??? this smells not just like cupcakes but like the entire bakery. im getting cookies and coconut and butter and gourmands i cant even put my finger on. its sooo !!! it makes me so happy idk this is my go to bedtime scent right now because of how comforting it is. yaay!!! :+)

I love this fragrance mist, it is really close to Cheirosa 71, but this one is a bit spicier. I am also getting the coconut pretty strongly. Cupcake Swirl is a true warm and spicy gourmand. My only complaint is that I wish it lasted longer. I only get about one hour, even on lotioned skin.

Super yummy scent! Gives more gingerbread vibes then cupcake, but once it sets, it becomes a delicious buttercream scent. definitely lasts long, as I applied it at 7 in the morning, and by 7 in the afternoon (when I shower), i could still smell it! Also works perfectly as a hair spray.

This feels like getting punched in the temples by a very aggressive Sugared Snicker Doodle (from bath and body works). The lasting power is very good for a mist. It lasts the good part of the day and sticks to clothes. It's really pleasant if you're into the sweets. I love it.

I just found Body Fantasies Vanilla Cupcake Swirl at Dollar General and I'm in love. It reminds me of Bath and Body Works' Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla/Cinnamon Sugared Donut. I get a cinnamon, vanilla donut vibe from it. I wish they'd make this in a lotion and body wash as well.

This is a great cheap gourmand scent. It is super strong so a little goes a long way. Out of all of body fantasies products, this one I loved the most. This is the bottle I go to when I want to be overpoweringly sweet. It's a bit chemical-y but it sure gets the job done!

I get so much cinnamon roll from this. Which isnt bad at all! It smells just like a fresh cinnamon roll to me - but it shocked me a bit,as something thats advertised to be like a cupcake. It's right in the name afterall. But man,it smells yummy. (^○^)

one of my favorite gourmands i own!! it kinda surprised me by how genuinely nice it is at such a low price- it's slightly coconut-y, but overall a super sweet scent that smells pretty much how it's named, lol! it lasts for 4/5 hours on my clothes :-)

I'm a guy who isn't a big gourmand fan, but I really like this fragrance. I basically just stumbled across it, and the notes and reviews were enough that I spent the $6 on an 8oz. I have to say that this is quickly moving into I love it territory.

I sincerely love this perfume... Besides the fact that it smells like buttercream, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the bite of cinnamon as well!!! A beautiful balance of sweet and spice. Plus, I got it from Dollar General which only makes it better.

I absolutely LOVE this body mist! As expected it last for a few hrs but VERY good for layering with your perfumes. It has an AMAZING vanilla, buttercream, marshmallow & musky scent I’m always looking for. So for me this was a good buy.

I had never heard of Cupcake Swirl before but as soon as I saw it on the shelf, it only took a micro second to decide that I wanted it. I bought it blind, no questions asked. I enjoy sweet, sugary, cupcake scents when I’m in that kind of mood, so this was a no-brainer. Cupcake Swirl is extremely literal – it’s literally smells like a cupcake, loaded with butter and sugar, and baked to just beyond doneness. I am not getting raw dough; rather, it smells like someone has just baked cupcakes, and the scent is wafting in the air. I’m not detecting any of the coconut, cloves, ginger or musk listed here. This one is all butter, sugar and vanilla for me. I think I was expecting something sweet but still a perfume, with some type of non-food base note or the incorporation of a vague floral. This scent lives up to its name of Cupcake Swirl – it’s a simple and heavy gourmand. I can’t think of a more literal cupcake fragrance.

I was totally surprised by this! I really like it and I'm not a fan of a lot of their scents. Usually they reek of alcohol on me personally and sometimes give me a headache. I was also not excited about there being clove as a note. I'm not a fan of that, but in this it totally works. I can definitely smell the buttercream from beginning to end. It smells like cake. The ginger fades a bit after the initial application and it seems to dry down to a nice, buttery vanilla musk. So it's close to perfect for me. A gourmand scent and a musk. Two of my favorite things. I've been wearing it about 2 hours now and I can still smell it even without putting my nose to my wrist which in my opinion is impressive for a body mist that cost me only $3. This is a great gourmand scent that I will definitely repurchase. In fact, I may stock up in case they decide to discontinue it.

This stuff is pretty tasty! Well...no, not literally, but it's one of those- "I wanna drink it!" type of fragrances. It isn't *not* artificial...in fact, I think it's highly synthetic smelling, but somehow it ceases to matter because it's just so dang delicious! There's a decidedly frosting-ish note that pervades the entire experience, and so YES, I think it's absolutely on point with the allegedly leading note listed here. Cookies though? I honestly don't get anything specific beyond frosting, because this is just kind of a general bakery sort of scent. Lots of vanilla!! It's definitely worth a few bucks to pick up if you're craving something along these lines, and absolutely is no worse than you're average B&BW/VS fragrance mist.

Most comments i saw before buying mentioned the cinnamon and ginger or the butter notes being overpowering and unpleasant, but i actually noticed the opposite personally. when it dries down on my skin i mostly get a slightly powdery vanilla and musk from it, with maybe a hint of coconut. i kind of wish it kept a bit more of its depth after drying down, because i only really noticed the spicy notes when i first apply it, but for the price i think it's amazing for layering

This is like a cinnamon cupcake with buttercream frosting scent almost- It's sweet, but the notes of the clove and the spice of it almost overpower on the initial spray. However- It does dry down nicely and I like it overall. It's a solid cheapie gourmand for those who wanna smell like a spicy cupcake! I have some of that hempz birthday cake lotion that I might layer this with so the spice evens out a bit more.

I like this body mist but it's definitely not my favorite, as it doesnt last long and it is indeed gingery , more like a pumpkin cinnamon candle, i would say it smells exactly or similar to the cake batter chapstick. i recommend it if you like sweet artificial smells, remminicent of the 2000s. but overall its good for layering gourmand fragances

As a gourmand, this had me swooning until the musk settled in at the dry down. Before that it was a perfect, photorealistic cupcake with extra frosting! The musk is the same as that in their more popular "Signature Vanilla" so if you enjoy the note in that one and are looking for a more edible vanilla, this is a good bet.

i love this mist, but don’t buy it thinking it’s gonna smell laconic, buttercream-y, and cake-like, because — at least in my bottle — that ginger note is stronger than you would expect. this definitely gives gingerbread cookie with a hint of coconut and vanilla. still a lovely fragrance imo, but not true to the name.

VERY powdery, almost tangibly so. I like this a lot! was only two dollars for 8oz which is pretty insane. it doesn't last insanely long or anything but it can last for a bit. projects across the entire room, you spray it once and everyone's wondering who brought cookies! not my favorite but definitely good

On my skin, the body mist comes off as purely spicy (cinnamon, ginger, clove notes) without much of the vanilla or buttercream. The spice smell is very strong and doesn't wear off for a while. My main complaint would be that I don't think this is a cupcake scent at all. However, great for an autumn vibe.

I get a spicy coconut cupcake from this one. It's pretty good value for a body spray, and I like it a lot even though it only lasts around an hour on me. I usually only wear it to work when the terrible dye they used in our new uniforms smells like burning plastic, a splash of this puts me at ease.

tried and true. this was my signature scent throughout high school and most of college before i could afford anything else. delightful warm cupcake scent with buttercream frosting. definitely a little artificial, but that's to be expected for the price.

Not my favorite, but Body Fantasies is generally great quality for the price. Not sure I'd call it cupcake, but definitely somewhere in the dessert sphere. All around pretty good if you want to smell like birthday cake or cookies or whatever.

smells like a carrot cake. spice is heavy within it. it resembled sdj 71 when i smelled it in store but then i nbought it myself and all i can smell now is carrot cake. its not bad, its just not a cupcake swirl. Great longevity though!

Not me agreeing—but yes, ginger cookie bomb indeed. This is strictly for the dessert gourmand lovers... if you don’t want to smell like a snack, proceed with caution. I feel like this is a cousin to “Che’71”.

To me it smells like a Scentsy / wax melt haha... I spray it all over my blankets and it leaves my room smelling good but I don't know if I would wear it on my person.

To me this doesnt smell like a cupcake it just smells like salted caramel. Lasts a decent amount of time on my clothes, isnt overpowering, and is very affordable.

Mmmm smells like hot Cinnabon frosting on a cinnamon roll. It needs slightly cooler weather to bring out these affects. It literally makes my mouth water.

another scent that smells a little to heavy on my skin but I love smelling it on other people and it reminds me of fall so that brings me joy

at first i strongly picked up the buttercream note but now i get the ginger quite a bit! its smells just like a ginger bread cookie to me.

Smells really good, I’ll give it that. Makes for a great room spray, which turns out lasts longer than my actual room spray.

smells like warm, buttery cookies and cupcakes. very very sweet and surprisingly strong on me for the price.
