Cozy Fireside S'more

This smells a LOT like Bath and Body Work's "Vanilla Bean" (not to be confused with the far more popular, but less awesome Vanilla Bean Noel) which has long been discontinued. However, this isn't an exact dupe and it's worth having both if you're into inexpensive, but amazing gourmond thrills! I'm so happy I tried this, it actually was love at first sniff. As always, things like this aren't overly complicated, they're understandable, and they're fairly linear. However, it satisfies that gourmond itch perfectly, and this one doesn't smell overly artificial or tacky...it's nice. It has a warm chocolatey tone predominantly, but there's quite a heavy dash of vanilla too. It's almost verging on cakey, but it doesn't smell decidedly like graham crackers. That's alright. This is fantastic, and although I don't need another fragrance mist, it was worth far more than the $4 I paid. I'd spend close to $50 (if I had it available for a treat) on something that smelled like this. 🍫 🍂

I have both the og formulation (2020) and the current one, and they smell similar but with different focuses. The 2020 version focuses more on the smokey sandalwood, making it more unisex. It lasts for 6-8 hours and has a decent projection, about arms length. The current version is more watered down, with an emphasis on marshmallow and chocolate. To me this one registers more feminine, and the smokey sandalwood is still there, just in the background. It performs more like a skin scent, and it lasts 4-5 hours on me. Both overall smell like a recreation of By the Fireplace from someone who has never smelled it in their life, and is going by descriptions. Which is not bad, just don’t expect this to smell identical to BtF.

so lovely but very light! at first, i couldn't smell anything but this actually got stronger on me over time and lasted amazingly, which was a pleasant surprise. it opens with a smokiness like by the fireplace, then smells like creamy sandalwood with a sweet and powdery quality from the marshmallow and a little chocolatey sweetness that becomes more apparent when warmed, without being excessively gourmand or cloying. even my mum, who hates perfume, enjoyed this fragrance. i wish they made this part of their permanent line though! i had to wait around 6 months before i was able to purchase mine :(

Gorgeous soft Smokey vanilla scent. I don’t get chocolate, and the woodiness is not too much either. I never got to try bonfire bash, so I’m guessing if they re released it, if it smells like this I’d absolutely hoard it. Cozy fireside smore is very light, unfortunately. It’s a my skin but better scent surely. it’s great for layering to add depth to your fragrance, or just wear on its on if you’re going for something soft. The fragrance and packaging are a 10/10 love for me. But the projection isn’t strong enough for me to love this like I want to.

for $5 this mist is an absolute great bang for your buck if you’re a vanilla/gourmand person like i am! the scent brings me back to childhood parties/hangouts at my family friends’ houses and sitting around their firepit telling scary stories with my friends to scare the younger kids—pure sweet nostalgia. i especially recommend layering this with vanilla skin by phlur, coffee break by maison margiela, eilish by billie eilish, or dulce by rosie-jane(my fav combination of the four is vanilla skin though).

This is divine. I appreciate when Fragrantica adds bodycology into their database. I don’t own Bonfire Bash nor have I smelled it, but if this is similar I don’t think I need to. This is powdery milk chocolate, sandalwood, and toasted marshmallow. Gourmand but not in a cheesy way. I have the body cream and the spray and together they will last hours and hours. Warm, cozy, divine. Also great for layering. A steal. I need to quit wasting my $ on BBW if the rest of this line is as good!

To my nose this is the perfect dupe for the ORIGINAL Bonfire Bash that came out years ago. The new BB smells kinda weird like they added a nasty, more synthetic smoke smell, whereas it used to smell like natural wood and a deep, boozy vanilla. It was amazing. This smells like the original for me. Surprisingly these body sprays are pretty strong and last a good while for me, so they're absolutely worth it. I try to stock up on the ones I really like since they're so cheap.

I LOVEEE this body spray you guys, I got it about two months ago and I swear I have used it every day along with any of my vanilla-based perfumes, and even my caramel-based perfumes😭😭 it literally smells like what it’s called...like a cozy fire side s’more and my boyfriend can attest to that haha. I don’t know how I haven’t come across this body mist sooner and I got it at Walmart for only five dollars so I would definitely recommend PLUS it is the perfect fall scent too.

Another find of mine that took multiple years ! (3 to be exact). The first sprays are quite disappointing and watery down? Smells like alcohol with a LOT of smokyness. After few seconds it turns into a smoky - woody marshmallow (very light note) with an (barely existing) chocolate note. Now, the dry down?? AMAZING. So fluffy, marshmallowy with a delicious note of chocolate. It's becoming even quite strong after few minutes.

just amazing!! i am more of a super sugary sweet gourmand person but i still love this. to me, it's a bit more woody compared to super sweet, but the creamy marshmallow and chocolate add in the sweetness that i love as a gourmand person. for some reason on me, it dries down a little soapy?? but i still rly like this! the body wash is a lot more sweet marshmallow forward!

This smells wonderful. Amber, woody, sweet. I layer it with my Al Rehab Love Apple for a cozy holiday scent. Unfortunately, this spray doesn’t last long at all on me. It diminishes in about 30 minutes. Sometimes it lingers on clothes though. It reminds me very much of Clinique’s My Happy— Cookies & Kisses. Very similar. Lasts a little longer too. Would be nice to layer.

this is the fragrance that got me hooked on sandalwood. there's no funny business, it smells exactly like sandalwood and s'mores. perfect scent for bedtime. you have to spray a lot of it though, and for a crazy cheap perfume it does have an impressive longevity. last time i got hooked to a bodycology scent, they discontinued it. so i'm using this sparingly.

It smells like slightly toasted marshmallows and sandalwood with the tiniest bit of chocolate, i love it!!! its very cozy, gourmandy, pleasant, and its great for layering. This lasts about 1-2 hrs on my skin but up to 4-6 hrs on my clothes (i'm an oversprayer). You cant beat the price and its a really good scent for winter.

I love how it smells exactly like chocolate melted on a marshmallow. I will say though I am disappointed that the newer bottles don't smell as strong as it used to when it was a limited sent, Its definitely watered down now but that smores sent is still the same it just wont last as long as it used to.

these are back in stock now for fall at Walmart in the new b&bw-esque packaging. don't overpay on ebay like I almost did. smells so nice for the $5 price, but would not succumb to the $15-20 price tag elsewhere. less chocolatey than cocoa butter lotion but with soft marshmallow, hnggg it's so good!!

Great scent especially for the value, this one is my favorite from Bodycology, I have both old and new package and the newest one is lighter than the previous one but nevertheless pretty good. Overall is a crowd pleasing, slightly smoky but not overpowering like By the fireplace. Good for layering.

Smells like chocolate chip cookie dough 🍪 I love layering this with other perfumes to give a vanilla chocolate note! It lasts a pretty good while on clothing for being a body mist in my opinion. I love the Bodycology brand. My other favorite is strawberry cheesecake

This one reminds me of abuelita hot chocolate and melted marshmallows, it smells sweet and fully edible. 5 bucks isn’t it? The lasting power is unsurprising for a body spray but it’s so delicious that I wish it were a bit stronger.

This is a 100% dupe for Maison Margiela By the Fireplace. I picked it up at Walmart clearance section for $3.95. So mad because I just bought a bottle of the MMBTFP a couple weeks ago. I could have saved so much.

This is one of my favorite scents of all time, the sandalwood is not overpowering in any sense and this smells really feminine. I wish I could find a clone or reup but I think it’s only seasonal :/

To me this is better then Bonfire Bash, that gives me an awful headache, Cozy Fireside S'mores doesn't. CFS is warm, sweet, smokey, beautiful.

Lasts decently on clothes,on skin I get about 2 hours,or 3-4 when using the matching lotion

At first it’s lots of alcohol which is totally expected and then it turns into a delicious cozy marshmallow. The name for it is perfect because that’s exactly what it smells like. It’s not overly sweet but very yummy and fluffy at first. I sprayed myself around 13 times and I can definitely get whiffs of it. I enjoy the opening but I think the “fireside” woodyness really comes through on the dry down and turns almost masculine, which I don’t love. I will say I think it’s what gives it a little more lasting power, I wore it for over 3 hrs and after a sweaty long walk with my dog she’s still there both on skin and on clothes. On skin it’s definitely faded a bit but if a cheap body lasts anything above 2/3 hours especially on skin, it’s a win. I won’t repurchase but it’s a nice cozy bedtime scent.

Upon first spray, this is an alcohol bomb. I have to hold my breath for a few seconds because I don't want to breathe in the alcohol. The dry down is much more pleasant. I get a lot of the sandalwood and marshmallow throughout and some more vanilla towards the base. The sandalwood also gives the scent a little spiciness. I do get a little bit smokiness, but it's not significant at all. The chocolate is non-existent for me. It is a pleasant scent but a mist after all, so the longevity is not there. It lasts for about an hour or less on me. Sillage is moderate when it's still present within the hour. I like to layer this with Jousset Accident a la Vanille. The combo is so sweet and cozy, but I will definitely find an alternative that lasts longer to use.

To me, this smells almost exactly like Maison Margiela's By the Fireplace (an assessment that my mother agrees with). It's a little lighter, but has almost the exact same notes and the same cozy feel to it. For a body spray, Fireside S'mores seems to have decent longevity, although the sillage isn't the best. Sprayed on clothes, this seems to linger all day, and even on skin it sticks around for a good 4-5 hours. Overall, I'd call this a good gourmand fall scent, especially if you're looking for a cheap dupe for MM's By the Fireplace. I've also found its rather good for layering with similarly warm gourmand fragrances.

this spray is pretty good, especially for like $5 but i’m here to talk about the LOTION! that stuff is the truth. best smelling marshmallow lotion i’ve tried EVER which is crazy cus it’s so cheap. pair both of them together and you’ll be smelling like a smore all day. i only wish the sandalwood note was replaced with a biscuit or graham cracker note, just to make the smore-ness more photorealistic, but, even as a sandalwood hater, i can admit it’s done pretty well in here. the lotion is a lot louder on the marshmallow with a hint of chocolate milk, while the spray has a bit more chocolate and more sandalwood.

I picked up the body lotion from Walmart and the texture is soooo soft and fluffy! I love the way it feels on my skin! The scent confirmed my love for chocolate notes in fragrances. So decadent, delicious, and warm! At 5 bucks I really can't complain! The Bodycology line provides great value at this price point! For people new to the fragrance world and are on the hunt for their signature scent, cheap brands like this are a great way to familiarize yourself with different notes without breaking the bank! Then, when you find the notes you like you look for them in real perfumes (eau de parfums).

This fragrance is offered seasonally. I picked it up this past winter and it's a warm and cozy scent. I get the toasted marshmallow by the fireplace feel because the woody notes do come through and linger. The body cream extends longevity. Very enjoyable gourmand fragrance. Reminds me of when you open up a packet of hot cocoa and dump it into your cup, the fireplace is near, and family is toasting marshmallows for their graham cracker s'mores.

This is very cozy and soft. This pairs perfectly with Choco Musk and just adds a little bit of smokiness. I can’t stand Replica’s By the Fireplace and luckily this smells nothing like that to me. This does have more of a sandalwood dry down to it rather than a vanilla gourmand dry down of Choco Musk, which makes this more woody and unisex. I also think this is more woody chocolate than woody marshmallow.

I know this is most similar to Bonfire Bash. But it also reminds me of a sweeter, more chocolaty version of Viva Vanilla (B&BW) or Noyz's Unmute. Not a dupe for unmute, but it has that same sweet, smokey, gourmand vibe. I think if you like those, this one would be a safe buy as well. Lasts the longest out of all my bodycology sprays even with just 1-2 sprays.

Sweet and smoky. It’s not too smoky to the point I dislike it, but it’s definitely for going out on a cold winter day.(I easily get turned off by too much musk or smoke but this is light enough) I use it as a room spray or layer it with other perfumes. :D

I would love this if it weren't for the sandalwood notes, it makes the scent too masculine in my opinion. It's otherwise very sweet and smoky, and pairs very well with other chocolate/vanilla scents.

I love this! I have this in the lotion. I also have Bonfire Bash body spray from B&BW. Basically the same thing! I will definitely be buying bodycology going forward and save a lot of money.

This is so good, smells very sweet and woody. A perfect balance of both! Smores by a fire is exactly what this is. There is a hint of artificial chocolate, but that fades away pretty fast

I like it well enough. I maybe wish it was less heavy on the sandalwood tho.

Overview: pencil shavings note at opening, okay vanilla/cookie-like fragrance at drydown, overall really weak scent that requires tons of overspraying to be detected, low sillage/projection, poor longevity. I just recently bought this at Walmart (Jan. 2025). When I first sprayed it, it was super alcohol-dominant. After that dissipated, it smelled to me so much like pencil shavings with a generic sweetness in the background. I came here to read reviews fully expecting others to be saying the same, but—alas!—I am the first one here to mention that. What others are describing as "smoky" comes across to me as a number 2 pencil being sharpened. After a few minutes, when the initial spray is dry, I can barely even smell it on my skin. So, I have to spray it on my skin & clothes again, and repeat this process of letting it dry & spraying more at least four times to really smell the scent & have it last for more than a few minutes. Even still, it isn't very long-lasting, and the projection is very low; it's a skin scent for sure. It lasts better on clothes than skin, but, even then, I have to directly put the fabric close to my nose to smell it. After spraying it over & over again on my clothes before bed, I *could* smell it on my clothes when I woke up, but only when I brought the fabric close to my face, so overspraying it did make it last on fabric for many hours, but, even still, the scent stays super close to the fabric; it's hard to make a scent bubble around you with this. After the pencil shavings note fades away, this kind of just smells vaguely of cookies/cookie dough to me; it's a generic, warm, really sweet vanilla & not nearly as much like fluffy marshmallows & chocolate as I had hoped. At drydown, it reminds me of the drydown of Victoria's Secret Bare Vanilla quite a bit. They're not exactly the same, but they're in the same scent family for sure. I much prefer the opening, sillage & performance of Bare Vanilla, however, so if I wanted to smell like this type of scent, I would just use my Bare Vanilla. VS mists & lotions occasionally go on sale for $5 or $6, making them close in price to Bodycology, by the way, so you could get a similar vibe to this by picking up Bare Vanilla on sale & get better projection & lasting power. But, maybe what smells to me—in the opening—like pencil shavings will smell like delicious toastiness to you & will make you prefer this to Bare Vanilla! I dunno; I can only share my own experience. As an aside, I will say that, personally, I've noticed that Bare Vanilla can also get a bit too cookie-like on me in warmer temperatures for my liking. It starts off with a fresh, almost tea-like note that I love, but that goes away if you're in a warm room or outside on a warm day & it becomes warmer & warmer & sweeter & sweeter until it smells really juvenile & almost annoyingly, suffocatingly sweet, lol. For that reason, I recently bought a bunch of backups of Bare Vanilla Daydream, which is very similar to the original Bare Vanilla, but it doesn't seem to get increasingly, cloyingly sweet on me like the original does; I think the Daydream flanker is a lot more wearable & versatile. Cozy Fireside S'more & Bare Vanilla are best suited for cold or at least cool indoor or outdoor temps., in my opinion. I'm interested in other reviewers' claims that the lotion in this scent is more marshmallow-y than the mist, and I'm down to try it. I also smelled the candle in store & might go back for that. Regarding the mist, however, I personally wouldn't repurchase. I'm not repulsed by the scent, by any means, but there are just so many fragrances in this scent category that smell, project & last better, in my opinion.

I am new to the Bodycology brand--I'm lovin' it so far! I've been reaching for Bodycology more so than any other body spray range that I own--and I have a vast collection of fragrances. This particular fragrance, I thought was just: ok. The quality of Cozy Fireside S'more was just not the same as the other scents that I've tried. The atomizer was leaky, the projection and sillage wasn't the greatest, and the fragrance smelled much better in the bottle than on my skin. I used this body spray while doing housework yesterday. I re-applied it several times, like I do most fragrances--but, was still underwhelmed. The price is super cheap, so no sweat!

a lot smokier and spicier than i expected on the initial spray. the dry down is a lot sweeter which i prefer, but id say its not as gourmand as i expected. i wouldn’t repurchase this but it was only $4 so im not upset about it either. the smokiness reminds me of by the fireplace

If it didn't have the weird smokey note to it that over powers it, it would be good. Bodycology should take notes on febreze's cozy campfire.

i’m pretty sure i’m smelling the weak reformulated version, but this scent is very disappointing and light in a bad way. i smell alcohol, a hint of something sweet and burnt, and then nothing. this smell gives the same vibe of how low calories diet rice cakes taste. i will not gaslight myself into believing this is a s’mores scent.

Not terrible, but too smoky and masculine 4 me. If you were expecting gourmand or sweetness like I was don’t buy

I love gourmand perfumes and decided to try this one based on the notes alone. It sounded like something I might like. I’m glad I did because I absolutely love this. It does have pretty good longevity. I typically give myself about 15-20 sprays though. The best I can describe this is as a sweet marshmallow sent, but it is not cooling. The sound of wood smells a tiny bit, smoky and grounds the marshmallow and then there is a cocoa note. The cocoa note is not a milk, chocolate scent, nor is it strong and overpowering. The note is a dry sweetness and works well. I really enjoy wearing the scent in the winter and it’s best for casual wear. I do believe it would be a good scent to layer as well. This is something I buy on a regular basis and I absolutely love it. For a body spray it has a good stain power and it can be smelt by others 3 to 4 feet away.

Much more powdery than I was expecting, and very synthetic smelling. That seems obvious at this price point but sometimes a very synthetic gourmand can be nostalgic and yummy, but this just isn't it for me. I was hoping for more of a woody vanilla but the chocolate and marshmallow take center stage here. Reminds me of a cheap scented lipbalm I have, even though the notes are totally different, just cause the weak, synthetic, powdery vibe is so strong in both. It's not offensive or anything, I'll prob wear it on lazy days when I want something subtle and vaguely sweet.

This smells almost exactly like bare vanilla by VS if they arent compared side by side. When they are compared though you can definitely tell that this spray is alot more woody and sensual compared to bare vanilla which is sweeter and a little brighter. I honestly love this spray and recommend it to anyone who likes bare vanilla or woody vanilla scents

i was browsing walmart and stumbled upon this beauty. i was expecting such a synthetic scent but this really surprised me?! creamy, woody marshmallow, with just the right hint of chocolate. super yummy and lasts a long time when layered with a lotion. love this as a bed time scent, and such a bang for your buck!!!

Ugh it's so gorgeous! Smells almost exactly like bonfire bash but with a bit of a toasty chocolate note. Too bad it's literally scented water!!! Definitely not worth it. Edit: I ended up decluttering it. Smells absolutely gorgeous but what's the point lol the performance is just too bad even for a body mist

Ringer for Vanilla Skin! I picked it up at Wal Mart today for $5.00 I think.It’s a hit for me because I love Vanilla Skin by Phlur and my bottle is almost empty! they smell nearly identical,although this is a bit sweeter.It’s a deep,smoky,rich vanilla and perfect for cooler weather.
