Bogner for Woman

04. february 2015 If you have read my older reviews, then you know that i looove the vintage Bogner range and tend to collect them all. However after testing several modern releases of this house i am not so mad about them. I actually managed to change my opinion about the "hantel" (B Bogner) and now i actually like it very much, it just requieres a special weather and mood to wear it. But i think this was the last good release from this house, since neither "wood", "snow", this particualr one (the big B) and "Fire&ice" do not justify the price they are asking for. And the qualit is not the best. Bogner for women "the big B" smells actually quite synthetic and very ordinary. I have the very new bottle and agree that the first spray out of the new bottle might smell bit bad, however the overall quality of the fragrance is not good. Starts out as a synthetic mix of blck currant and red apple with a light bitter accord (the orange?). It relatively quickly passes away and the middle stage of synthetic flowers and mix of vetyver are here. The black currant is still quite intense, but later the smell turns into mix of apple, vetyver and that typical synthetic cheap smelling sandal. Very boring and unimpressive. the drydown becomes more and more similar to the male cologne, thanks to the woody notes and vetyver, yet it doesn ́t turn into a complete cologne, thanks to apple. Not good at all and has a very drugstore quality. The sillage is quite strong in the beginning, even bit disturbing, bit later, about 40 min into development it turns quite soft and then becomes a skin scent. The longevity is not impressive at all as well. i get around 4 hours of 1-2 wrist sprays. No, still not impressed and not worth the money. Sad. Had to give it away to someone who wasnt bothered by its smell. Please do not remove this comment, since others might find it useful. Not every review should be positive, so people like me wanted to make a blind buy might find it very informative. Thanks.
