Bogner Woman No.1

The first thing I got was a strong vanilla, but there's a lot more going on. It's not a one-dimensional vanilla smell, it's very elegant with flowery and fresh notes that give it depth and keep it from going too sweet. So the vanilla doesn't turn too warm or "buttery", it's not the cookie type of vanilla, and it's also not dry or powdery. It's somewhere in the middle: a creamy, cosy and relaxing smell. It stays clean and bright for hours and hours. It's one of the most comforting fragrances I own.

01. september 2020 I have this perfume in both versions: as Bogner no1 and bath and body and to me they are identical. I believe bath and body is an older version and it was later renamed into just Bogner no1 (yet the very first Bogner with red cap, also known as "Bogner femme" is still missing from database). I love Bogner fragrances but this one is a bit simple to my nose. It is mostly a heavy vanilla base with heavy amber and crispy spicy opening and creamy rosey middle stage of development. It is sharp at first, almost peppery spicy vanilla, but then it becomes softer with a nice ambery undertone. On the drydown it becomes soft and tender, bit powdery and i get the name abth&body, because it would remind me of a vintage after bath powder or talc that women used to apply onto their bodies back inthe days after taking a bath. It also has that typical Chanel nr.5 bath line feeling in the drydown, so it all makes sence. Overall a nice vanilla fragrance with good lasting power and good sillage but you really have to like this type of smell to enjoy it. to my nose it is bit too much of powdery vanilla, so i cannot sadly use it, but i do feel the quality and perfomance.

ohh this is strange on my skin. i m trying it as i got a sample . It first starts of realy not very plesent. almost like a alcohol drenched lether jacket. the lether is realy sticking its nose out but is there lether listed ... nope, Then it settles Down abit . the amber is taking the lead . strong dark dusty Its realy an Oriental almost like an arabic perfume on my skin. slightly masculin infact. not a sweet Vanilla flirt for shure I cant realy pic out the other notes . they just mingles in the back making it slightly more apealing. I Guess this can be a good comfortable perfume for thouse days you stay at home and doing Your dayly Things .

This is a floral fragrance, without being too floral, or too classy. Too classy means to me CHANEL No.5, eg. It is moderate, well blended with floral-green feeling in the middle that blends nicely into a not too sweet vanilla. The staying power is great, it allows you a nice feeling,but it is not too strong either to offend so. Really well done.

I was looking for a back up bottle hopelessly on ebay Germany. After a while (long 5 years) had to realise that it will never happen at a reasonable price, since it is long gone from production, but Alien essence absolue manages to mimic this wonderful fragrance, lucky me. Thumbs up to Mugler.

Hi, For sweet red rose and jasmine lovers it is mandatory to try I have to disagree with gesch below, since for my liking this is a very strong long lasting perfume. not cloyting at all, but SWEET ambery rose.
