Dark Vinyl Musk

Long lasting asf!! The name dark vinyl musk says it all. I guess it’s not really vinyl. But it’s dark and musky and smooth, sleek, cocktail bar in a long black jacket type of scent. Deep resinous in a way that’s more cool and mysterious than it is warm and cozy. Could be worn by any gender. Lasts ALL DAY as in I can spray it at 8am and smell it as I’m going to bed. It’s even lasted through showers. Absolutely gorgeous. Need a full bottle asap!

A very rich and complex masculine amber. Good scent for people who prefer hippie type nature fragrances. Reminds me Andy Tauers Dessert night or what ever it's called but without smokiness. Very nice but overpriced for what it is. I dont pick up any "vinyl or rubber note, thankfully. Would buy a full bottle if 1/3 of price was knocked off.

True Polish gem! Lasting power is great, projection is good enough too Smth I enjoyed with time... Bcs it's basically for the trained noses I can see Rose Prick mentioned as a similar frag.. Well, no, it's not Quite unique smell, but yet reminds me of smth Smth really good :)

It took me a while to like this fragrance. I got a decant of this and I tested it for months. As it was finishing I realized I can't be without it. I love how it dries down. It reminds me of my childhood. If you want to buy a decant in Dubai, fabscents.ae has it.

This may be worth checking out - but only if you don't mind plasticky/rubbery scent profile (styrax, baby!). Needs a skin to fully develop it's nature. In my case it's more one dimensional. Definitely dark, seductive, but not masspleasing. I picture wearing it in autumn evening, when you want to be mysterious, self confident and (maybe) interesting. Quite hard for me to pick some really similar scent, but I guess styrax reminds me of texture in Jazz Club by Maison Margiela. So yeah - it can and will be nauseting for some, especially when smelling it close to skin. I was 50:50 about JC and this one definitely draws more attention but can be little bit more challanging to wear for someone. Unisex, leaning slightly feminine. Down to scent itself - labdanum plays first fiddle in the very beginning and I probably like this part the most. In the middle I got lots of resins supported with olibanum but in the background (and closer to skin) I got strong leather and musky notes. Styrax mentioned before is present from mid to the late drydown and is giving it plasticky, incensy vibe. I probably would like it more if jammy, sweet rose mentioned in notes would be more prominent in drydown and indeed gave some brightness it lacks imo. Animalic aspect also could improve final impression. Overall I'd be happy to have it but probably wouldn't use it very often. Definitely overpriced in retail, but about 55$ for 50ml is what I'd be willing to pay for it. Worth checking out if you like the notes alone and bcs it does smell different than most of offerings I already tried. //Edit: Found good deal on this one and pulled the trigger for FB, after testing it another day. Performance is above average, longevity is really good and boy - it projects a lot for at least 1-2 hours. //Edit: Get rid of the bottle, unfortunately I did not tested it in cold weather. I'm still thinking it's really good fragrance for right person, but on my skin it goes slightly feminine.

I love this stuff and I can’t wait for this fall to buy a full bottle. It’s such a cool fragrance but I can see how it could be too intense for some with its strong musky smokiness. I find this kinda similar to Tom Fords Rose Prick, it’s just a lot darker and sharper in the nose. I think it’s the rose notes that are the similarity. The musk in this is so beautiful and this smells just like the color of the juice to me, dark purple. And it’s got a velvety-ness to it just like the cap of the bottles which I love. It does have a super cool vinyl smell, like a record store or a leather shop maybe. This fragrance is for the dark souls of the world it’s unique and some say dirty smelling which I totally get but it’s also beautiful and classy. I could see a goth ballerina wearing this or a dominatrix or Dita Von Teese in black and purple. This would also smell amazing on a guy, it’s so unique to me that it would smell good on anybody who fit the vibe. This perfume also needs a good outfit. it would smell best dressed up nice but any cool outfit would complement this, just not sweatpants or lazy clothes lol this is a badass fragrance

📼 Vinyl Record Shop 🎵 We're heading down the stairs. My girlfriend tugs at the sleeve of my leather jacket – "maybe you'll find something for your Polish rock collection?". The door creaks, the smell hits immediately. Basement. Damp, but not in a bad way. Wooden shelves full of records in plastic sleeves – hundreds, thousands of black discs that smell like melted rubber and old cardboard. Styrax hangs in the air, thick and resinous. A radiator under the wall hums quietly, warming the air. In this heat you can smell labdanum – heavy, sweet, a bit like old honey mixed with resin. My girlfriend flips through the Polish rock section. She has roses pinned in her hair – they smell sweet, mixing with the scent of leather from our jackets and plastic from the covers. I run my finger along the spines of records and breathe in. Plastic, leather, resins, roses, warmth. Everything blends into one dense smell that settles on our jackets and stays there for the rest of the day. We leave with three records and smell like this shop. Perfect. @the.scent.files

I really like this. Although, I don't usually wear scents that are this loud. It opens with a bang of amber and musk. Then it settles to a sweet sandalwood and resin. I never got the vinyl or rose. This is definitely a "black leather jacket" scent. I happened to be dressed in overalls, red sneakers w/ rainbows on the side and two braids on each side of my head. The total OPPOSITE of how this fragrance reads. (I grabbed this sample from the discovery box while running out the door.) This is the second winner from the box, the other being White Chocolate (Something). I likely will get a full bottle.

Currently working my way through a sample before buying a full bottle. This fragrance has great olfactory payoff for the amount applied – I applied some at 2 PM yesterday before a full day/night out, slept in it, and still had mellow notes when I woke up this morning at 8 AM. This is a heady scent with the sweet notes of warm plastic and undertones of incense that transport me to the dark enclave of a club meets cathedral. Intoxicating in more way than one.

This is a really nice dark leather that leans masculine. I mostly get leather (from the labdanum), violets, incense/resins, and rose. It does give the effect of vinyl, but I'm not sure if I'm biased by the name; regardless, this is a really nice, dark leather fragrance. Speaking of the name, I don't get much musk in this- I do get the effect of purple flowers though. Performance on this is fantastic--it lasts ALL day.

This is extremely fun, weird, and conceptual! Vinyl and musk with some resinous notes - what more can I say? I wouldn't wear this but I think it's absolutely right for someone who wants to give dark, mysterious, modern vibes.

This smells HOT. This smells like your high school boyfriend who wore his father's leather jacket and played bass.

This is a deep, dark, rich amber. My favorite from this house.

Opens very labdanum forward with woody facets, and this interpretation is continued down with a resinous, woody (wood dust style) bias as before, though a bit different. A bit further down, the amber makes this profile take a bit of a dirty turn, but not something unwearable. It still maintains a lightly musky, strong labdanum+styrax combo that is arguably as prevalent as the “sawdust”+woody sensations. It’s pretty balanced, and a well done frag, I can say this is a bit similar to Black Lacquer/RedColorado, but it’s not exactly the same—more nuanced. Despite this, this doesn’t pique my interest—I’d thought it somehow would be more leather forward but at best, there’s an abstract leather in here besides the labdanum, hence, "Dark Vinyl Musk" is not quite aptly named here.

Its dark, serious and mysterious scent. it is NOT church incense scent. It has a little bit of that "oudy smell" from TF oud wood or "pickles smell" from santal 33, little bit of bitterness in the background. so if you like TF oud wood and things like black afgano i think this is in that ballpark

I wanted to love it, but all I can smell on my skin is smoked bacon (?!). The rose is nice here, I get some raspberries too, but the amber, leather and resins somehow blends into smoke, and I feel like a walking BBQ haha, bit too strong.

Very oily, somehow. Gotta be the resins with the leather, maybe. I can see why it has "vinyl" in the name. It is very unusual, definitely a memorable scent. I am still deciding if I like it or hate it, it is hard to say...
