Geranium Balsamic Note

This is very fresh, herbal, and mildly floral in the beginning - it's really quite lovely. I adore the herbal qualities of the geranium, the almost medicinal character of the bay laurel, the green fig leaves, and the pungent woody notes of juniper and cedar. While it becomes a little less green and fresh as it matures on my skin, I also love that it seems to retain its balance between woody/resinous warmth and herbal/medicinal coolness. Considering the notes, I am super impressed with the lasting power of this. The issue I've found with fragrances with similar notes is that they just don't have either the sillage or lasting power that I want. A few hours after applying, the laurel, geranium, and gentle woods that remain remind me just a little of Bois Mystérieux, but this is distinctly more fresh/green/herbal and lighter but not due to lasting power, more due to the difference in notes. It's almost like if Bois Mystérieux offered an "air," "acqua," or other less woody, more springtime/summertime appropriate flanker. Regardless, I adore this and find it to be a fairly unique take on these notes.

The best of Bohoboco Collection remids me of Casbah, but with fresher greenery

Bohoboco Geranium Balsamic Note is a fragrance I did not expect to like this much. This is not something I would usually reach for based on the notes alone, but after smelling it, I was genuinely surprised by how good and well balanced it is. It opens green, slightly aromatic and clean, with geranium giving it that fresh, almost leafy character. Then the cedarwood and olibanum start to come through, making it drier, smoother and more elegant, while the balsamic notes add a soft warmth in the background. Nothing here screams for attention, but everything feels very intentional. It has the vibe of a quiet luxury. To me, this smells subtle, refined and measured. It is not loud, but it is definitely present. It has that quiet confidence of a fragrance that does not need to prove anything, which is probably why it works so well. I think this is generally very easy to like, so I would call it a safe blind buy. Performance is average, but honestly, I do not mind it here. The fragrance is versatile enough to wear throughout the year and in different situations whether you're man or a woman, from office to casual days to slightly more elegant occasions. A good, quality scent that stays calm, polished and very wearable.

Sad face :( I blind bought this in my search for the perfect geranium fragrance. Also my first purchase from this brand. And although this is a pleasant fragrance, it does not satisfy my geranium itch. The geranium is barely there - it is more of a whisper than the scream I am after, and I am just shy of wearing straight essential oil at this stage. It is on the masculine side of unisex and almost smells like a lovely shaving cream. Clean and ever so slightly barbershop-esque. More fresh-spicy and aromatic than geranium centred.

The fig tree is not existent here, Following the correct notes: HEAD NOTES: juniper berry, bay leaf HEART NOTES: cedarwood BASE NOTES: cedarwood, geranium, olibanum, balsamic notes There is no fig tree no resin (incense/olibanum is more exact) and no vetiver.

Crisp, mouthwatering, herbal incense and woods. Reminds me of Passage D'Enfer but less floral and more aromatic. Projects more when temperatures rise but sits pretty close to the skin. Nice, unexpected!

Geranium Balsamic Note is a very beautiful and original perfume but, for my taste, it lacks duration and it is too subtle. It has a beautiful fresh and herbal aroma. Juniper and bay leaf merge very beautifully with the particular sweetness of the geranium flower. On my skin I don't detect the fig leaf or a very prominent woody background but I do perceive a slightly sweet resinous drydown, unfortunately already very close to the skin, when the green part of the perfume disappears. On me it has a soft trail and lasts about 4 hours, most of the time sitting close to the skin. Its duration improves a little in summer, perhaps reaching 6 hours, but with a projection that is still too light for my liking. The opening of this perfume is wonderful, summery, refreshing but very original. I have also used it in combination with Lalique Le Parfum, as they both share the bay leaf note, and I liked the result, much sweeter, although I think it takes away some of its magic. But, for now, when I want to perceive the bay leaf note I will remain faithful to the Lalique, even if I have to use it in somewhat cooler temperatures. 🫙 Metal Mortar 🌿 A metal mortar on a wooden countertop. The pestle grinds against the walls, releasing the scent of dried herbs - geranium, bay leaf, juniper. Everything smells as if these herbs have been lying here for months - not fresh, but intense in their dryness. Metal adds coldness - this is not a warm, cozy composition. It's a sterile, apothecary scent, with a note of rust and brass. Cedar in the background recalls a wooden cabinet where old medicines are kept. Geranium here is not floral - it's a dry, herbal aroma, as if someone crushed the leaves between their fingers and left them in the sun. The scent stays close to the skin, delicate. Over time, the metal disappears first, then the herbs, leaving only a shadow of cedar and balsamic resin. As if someone rinsed the mortar, but the scent remained in the cracks - barely perceptible, fleeting. Two hours and it's all over. The mortar sits empty, cold, as if nothing ever happened. @the.scent.files

Wow, this develops quite a lot. The first hour it was very bitter dark green (as I call it), it reminded me of Tom Ford Noir de Noir or something along those vibes. I thought I will have to sell it as it seemed just a touch too masculine for my liking (I'm a woman). Then about an hour ago the bitter greenness faded away a bit and it turned more airy but still with a nice balsamic base. Only then I would say it might slightly resemble the Escentric 2 but the E2 is much lighter, in a molecular way, this one is more herbaceously bitter. I will update later. I might consider selling it later as I'm digging more feminine scents atm, so feel free to ask (UK).

I grew up with the smell of geranium in my family garden and I’ve always liked the note. I like Geranium Pour Monsieur by Frederic Malle a lot and Ive generally enjoyed this house, so I was keen to test out my sample. I’ve enjoyed my sample so far. I think the geranium note is pretty realistic (compared with GPM which has a solid dose of mint). Even though the GPM has mint, I think this is fresher, even though the balsams are prominent. This is clean and versatile and I’d say an easy grab.
