Jasmine White Leather

Jasmin white leather is another amazing scent by the brand. IT is simple, but complex at the same time. Powerful but wearable. It starts with Cloves, Bergamote, and lemon, but the clove only starts shining after the citrus mellows down a bit. The middle is floral, with Jasmin, lavender, violet and rose... I don’t detect much of the lavender, but the Jasmin and rose are definitely there. The base is leathery, but not the dark animalic leather... its probably a synthetic type of leather... not in a bad way at all! You also get a hint of earthy/sweetness notes of patchouli, Vanilla and Tonka beans. Other notes on the base are Musk, Ambergris and cedar... They are there, but not noticeable to me. This is a beautiful fragrance. Doesn’t smell like anything Ive had in the past. It is fruity, floral, slightly woody, slightly leathery, and slightly sweet... the perfect combination of everything. This is in no way linear... it changes so much throughout the life of it, but it is enjoyable at all stages. Longevity is pretty impressive... Silage is slightly above average I would say. Its definitely a LOVE for me!

At first spray I do get the chlorinated pool scent, but it quickly (within the first minute) turns into cloves and musk on my skin. The spiciness of the cloves with the sweetness of the underlying tonka/vanilla had me thinking I was smelling cinnamon at first! I don’t get a lot of the florals on me, nor a heavy leather. As another reviewer mentioned, the leather nuance is soft and likely synthetic. For me this is a good thing, as leather notes and I have a love-hate relationship where certain iterations come across as very musty to my nose. Overall the performance is strong and the scent itself really is quite unique - I’m happy to have it in my collection!

not sure why this has such low marks - it's very pleasant. on first spray it smells just like very fancy soap from a nice hotel. you get a lot of clove up top and the citrus is just there for initial lift, you don't detect a lot of it. it settles to lavender and violet, more so than jasmine, although you do get a lot of those green notes in the accord. on the dry down, i detect woods, as well as a marine-like musk and coumarin. there is no sweetness in this - perhaps that is why people don't love it as much? however, to me, this makes it a lot more elegant and wearable for an older audience (unisex). a good offering from this house!

I am not a fan of jasmine or leather. Yet I own a bottle of this. I got it at a great price at a fragrance show but still it's not a case of "well at least i didnt buy it full price" type of rationale. This can be worn in any season and across genders. It opens as a spicy bergamot, spice I reckon is from the cloves then you get some of the jasmine but its not that headache inducing jasmine then you can sense the leather base but definitely not type bootstrap animalic leather, THANKFULLY. Sillage is quite good actually and longevity is about 6 hrs before its a skin scent but you still get whiffs every now and again afterwards. Im honestly surprised by how much I enjoy this scent considering the major notes but it's really unique and not juvenile in the least as you dont get much sweetness here. Not blindbuy safe (nothing really is) but definitely one to try especially if you're open to unique formulations

Testing blind, I got a green opening with a more powdery floral background. Freshness is jasmine or something similar. Seems to be getting some sort of musty floral vibe after the initial opening, leading to a fairly mellow green aromatic vibe with jasmine still leading. I want to say I get a herby-floral olive oil vibe, or something like that. While pleasant, this fragrance projects more home fragrance to me than personal fragrance, Looking at the notes now, not all of these fold into each other well. In general you get an aromatic feel, with jasmine the most pronounced, but given the array of notes, the result feels tame, and even with good projection and longevity, it doesn't inspire and makes me feel it's a bit overpriced.

I am a big Bohoboco fan, but this one is just a little too wide of the mark for me. It opens with a bold, LOUD, sweet floral-leather impact, then it settles into a controlled, polished blend where the leather keeps the jasmine really nicely behaved. On my skin, apart from a very brief PVC panic, it really dried down to a great rounded out overall impression. Honestly, this is one of the better jasmine-led scents I’ve tried — interesting, well constructed, and distinctive — but it doesn’t quite inspire or emotionally grab me. I do appreciate, I do not love.

A unique fragrance, smell the new swimming pool and chlorine, I feel the summer atmosphere more than a leather floral scent perfume. There is a plastic smell too.

Woah, the opening is hard to tolerate. It is bitter, almost metallic, smoky like lapsang souchong (a tea which I do not enjoy). The spice of the cloves arises, but it is the hard aspect of clove, rather than the warm aspect, if that makes sense. As the metallic shock wears off, a salty body-odor smell emerges, although didn't last long. When the florals and sweeter elements finally come forward, all I can identify is a rose-patchouli combination, and some powdery aromatics (which seems like a contradiction in terms, I know). But the astringency never dies down on my skin, so this is definitely not for me. If not told by the name that this is supposed to smell like leather, I would not have recognized this as having a leather accord. I think this is heavily masculine. I got this as part of a batch of unrelated samples and didn't individually select it to try -- although who knows, based on the note pyramid and name, I might have explored it intentionally at some point anyway, as I am super into jasmine fragrances. I feel that the name is quite misleading for jasmine lovers! All that said, it is certainly complex and distinctive. It is obviously of high quality and concentration: it gives an oily sheen as it's applied, and makes the skin silky as it dries. Great if you love it, but not so great for me since I want it to wear off sooner rather than later!

On first spray the jasmine is nice, but what I think is supposed to be the leather is instead very plasticky. Within an hour the plastic becomes something astringent and chemical, and it overwhelms the jasmine. Then it fades, and within 3-4 hours I can only smell it with my nose to my wrist. At this point it's much mellower, but the chemical scent is still there. The jasmine doesn't stand out much. The chemical part reminds me of Xyrena Neon Sunset, which also has a leather note, so maybe leather just doesn't mix well with my skin chemistry. On the other hand, my partner liked it, so YMMV.

There is a synthetic note in these, very pronounced right after the spray, that makes this frangrance extremely unpleseant to me. It became more flowery after a hour or two. And then the synthetic was back. Of course, longevity of this one was off the charts and even my bedding smells like it (I sprayed my wrist around 10am). My hubby said it smelled like the flower shop by the cemetery, where they spray flower arrangements with something to make them last longer.

It is a very dental scent on my skin. I'd agree it's elegant but for a disinfectant in a dentist’s office! Jasmine is indeed lost between all the other notes so don't expect it.

Literally smells like a dentist's office. It only changes to something more floral after many hours. And it's very strong

🌸 Accident Outside the Flower Shop ⚡ A county town in Poland. The screech of tires and a crash. A white convertible with white leather upholstery slams into an electric pole right in front of a flower shop. The engine smokes, black fumes pour from under the hood, and loose cables hang like snapped strings, sparking dangerously above the car. I step closer. The smell of burnt rubber hits my nose, sharp and chemical, like a tire shop. The cables smolder, reeking of melted plastic and copper. From inside the convertible comes the scent of white leather, expensive and soft, now heated by the engine and releasing a heavy, luxurious aroma. The florist runs out with a bouquet prepared for a wedding. White flowers tied with a white ribbon. Jasmine, violets, roses. Everything was supposed to reach the church in an hour. Instead, the bouquet lands on the hot hood, and the petals begin to wilt from the heat. The sweet, intoxicating scent of white flowers mixes with the electric stench and rubber. Two worlds, elegance and catastrophe, colliding in one place. Tomorrow it will all make the front page of the local Courier and become a small-town sensation. I first encountered the Bohoboco line at Ministry of Scent & decided to order the discovery set because on the blotter all their scents were so pretty that I couldn't decide which to sample on skin. Jasmine White Leather makes me nostalgic for my early days of scent exploration--I used to wear jasmine essential oil to bed, and Demeter "Riding Crop" was my "going out" scent in college, so leather & jasmine are close to my heart. I get the white leather most on the open--a fresh-leaning leather, like new suede--then the florals and later the citrus. It's more lavender and lemon than jasmine to me, but the jasmine is there if you squint. Other folks' comments about fertilizer and garden center vibes definitely resonate for me--it has a little bit of a chemical sting, but in an earthy, mineraly way. This scent reads as pretty masc to me--the more feminine notes just lend a "secure in my masculinity" energy. But I could see it working for anyone.

Oh, the first spray is so weirdly sweet; perhaps it's the combination of cloves and citrus. It fades and makes way for the rather less-than-indolic-than-most jasmine, with a heavy hit of lavender than any of the other floral notes. I like this, as it's different. There is a mineral quality to the florals. I finally get some of that white leather and musk, a touch of wood. No sweetness. All that came out in one punch at the very beginning. This one is growing on me. I'll have to try it a few more times to see how much I like it. I'm not sure where some people are getting chlorine. Maybe it is the mineral quality I'm getting, but it doesn't sting like chlorine.

Lovely. Different. Lots going on here. There’s a floating lightness, a punctuated jasmine lacquer and an interesting smoothed out salty sour base. It brings to mind a jasmine flower trapped in lucite being baked in the sun. I’m pretty sure this is a “on the third wear love it forever” kind of thing. This one reminds me of the type of fragrance you wear on a summer vacation...something unique for the occasion that you can actually hang memories on. Smell it years later and boom, you’re back.

I like this fragrance! Apparently simple, reading the name, but with a wonderful evolution. The opening has subtly citrusy notes, among which a rather sweet lemon stands out, which will pave the way for floral notes that I would define as velvety, very elegant, almost muffled and with a very light leathery scent that makes everything fabulously pleasant. It's a bit like being in a flowery field on a beautiful May day. “Paisage de Printemp” painted by Alfred Sisley.

Spiced green herbal scent. The clove, lavender, leather and ambergris are very prominent on my skin. However, there is a very fresh patchouli tamed by the slightly sweet jasmine. I can't detect the rose. I think this is very enjoyable in a expensive resort/spa style. I don't think I will get a full bottle but this is not a bad scent. It is just too unisex. Projects well, sometimes it feels a little bit minty, my husband said it "smells like ozone"

Truly amazing. So sexy, mysterious, unapproachable yet approachable. It’s smells like a soft powdery Dr Pepper. It’s silver jewelry and amazing hair. I love it. Signature scent worthy
