Astratto

Warm, spicy, balsamic, ambery, aromatic, gourmand, lactonic, sweet, fruity, floral, powdery, milky, vanilla, green. Astratto is surely one of the most complex scents I’ve tested so far in my scent journey! It’s very likeable and has a unique smell. Cannot say that it reminds me of anything else I have ever smelled. Cannot comment on similarities with Baraonda because I haven’t tried that one, so to me Astratto is totally unique. It’s a strong, deep ambery/vanilla scent with a very noticeable contrasting opening composed around the notes of pineapple and davana. A very aromatic, juicy, tangy opening balanced by a lactonic note. As the fragrance develops, I can detect a mix of lavender, peach, rose and jasmine. It’s an intoxicating combination that’s very feminine and elegant. The base notes consisting of caramel, vanilla, amber and benzoin round up the composition nicely and offer the fruits and flowers a balsamic, ambery, vanillic facet. Even though it’s a very elaborate perfume and it’s unlike anything I’ve tried, it has that addictive effect that makes me want to sniff my skin constantly. In my opinion it’s solely a cold weather scent, thanks to its intensity and richness, has great longevity and projection but leans more feminine. Does not smell the same as, but I would put in the same category as Coco Noir by Chanel, so if you’re into Coco Noir but you want a niche, more elevated version of that, give Astratto a try. You’ll not going to be disappointed, the quality is impeccable and the performance is outstanding. It’s indeed a bit more expensive than Chanel if you are purchasing it straight from the Bois 1920 site, but can be found for about 110 euros online on discount websites.

Astratto - such a great name for the effect it produces... Opening is sweet (not cloyingly though) and milky but with hints of davana giving it a great twist from the start. Pineapple as it should be - not overripe, just a tone giving it some tropical and sunny olfactory aura. If this sweetish opening should scare somebody (not particularly fond of sweet perfumes) please wait for an astral transformation further down the development path... Astratto becomes musky, aethereal, and really angelic to my nose. Mature and out of this world. I imagine, if Milky Way has a smell, it has to be Astratto-like. For me, fragrance made of stars, beautiful bottle and presentation, and all that for a reasonable price for such a gem.

I love the tropical notes together with the milkiness. It's quite milky and creamy for the first few hours, with the pineapple and peach in the background. After about 2 hours, the lactonic notes leave more room for the tropical notes. This is a great combo done in a way that doesn't become too sweet. Another favorite from one of my favorite, underrated, houses. Unisex in my opinion.

I have no idea how this fragrance is rated so low. It smells amazing and has incredible semblance to Baraonda and Kutay. This reminds me of a bourbon barrel aged stout with adjuncts, while baraonda and kutay are more of a fine whisky. This is absolutely incredible.

Fragrantica is missing Guaiac Wood in the mid, which is such a prominent note in this perfume! Its a hit!

This is straight up baraonda. Wild !

This fragrance closely resembles Nasomatto's Baraonda, particularly with its similar whiskey note. However, it feels darker, heavier, and infused with a creamy blend of pineapple and chocolate or caramel. Overall, it’s like a slightly chocolatey gourmand version of Baraonda, with a nice powdery dry-down. It’s enjoyable, but I still prefer Baraonda as it's more versatile.

This is a younger brother of Liaisons Dangereuses by Kilian but bit warmer and herbaceous. I prefer Kilian.

Astratto , a wonderful name for a fragrance. Picasso said that abstract art starts from the concrete, from which the traces are then removed. And this fragrance is a mix of notes, apparently different from each other, not tunable, which instead create a wonderful harmony. Fruity, flowery, lactonic and amber notes create a deep, at times dark, introspective perfume, wonderful to wear. Elegant but extravagant, as above the schemes. An apparently simple creation, but well thought out, built with care and study, which I really like. “Ma Jolie” painted by Picasso. For me more suitable for the cold seasons, it offers comfort, persistence and excellent trail.

Red wine and a lot of BR ambroxan. I don't like it all
