Elite IV

To the seasoned connoisseurs of amber, this might whisper softly, only to be met with a wistful sigh and a gentle passing by.... This fragrance is truly an interesting creation. There’s a bold effect of intriguing amber right in the opening. But nothing that could overshadow Santi Burgas Palindrome I or II — or even better, Isabey – L’ambre de Carthage. I’d say this No. IV is like kindergarten compared to the above-mentioned perfumes. However, No. IV does offer a certain discreet beauty. Yes, the theme is amber, and yes, this is an amber perfume done in the French style. But there aren’t that many elements orbiting around it to elevate the whole. The dry-down reveals the clearest picture — and it feels somewhat superficial. Like a sticker on a metal surface left out in the sun — it fades. That’s exactly how I’d describe this perfume. It’s interesting and quite good in the first hour. After that, it becomes a faded image of amber. A great perfume for beginners. It’s discreet, yet lasts decently long. It’s not a beast, not a nuclear bomb, not a huge aura around you. Just a tasteful, well-behaved amber scent. But for seasoned amber hunters, this might come off as a meh type. Even though it’s noticeably pleasant and likeable, I don’t find any deeper meaning in it. Final score: 6/10.

When I sprayed this, Cherqui said "i'm back bitchhhh" so I guess i'll have to put up with her! 😉 Update: Let me elaborate more. The opening has the same sticky tobacco rolls as Bois1920 Vento nel vento and then shortly after, dries down to cherqui. It is close to Cherqui but less heavy than it. Serge Lutens Cherqui has more of a powdery bite to it and is more concentrated omph to it. This is where it's at if you want something less heavy.

Honey, Iris, tobacco, incense, amber. Very nice, smooth sweet resinous scent. I agree it is similar to Chergui, but the iris here is very pronounced, it is almost like if someone sprayed herself with Shalimar and later refreshed herself with Chergui...in any case, this is classy and beautiful!

This perfume deos not seem to get the credit it deserves. It behaves more like an iris perfume than an amber or tobbaco perfume. The other notes are secondary to iris, but it does not come off as powdery, floral, or edgy. It is more woody and ambery.

Tobacco , amber , iris powder and honey . It has some similarities with Chergui Serge Lutens but with more designrish amber vaniilic sweetness .
