Gioco all'Alba

I am not an expert in drinks or claim to be one, but to my nose, Gioco all’Alba smells like rum, not whiskey. A delicious, deep, dark, very sweet rum blended with leathery, tobacco, vanilla, woody facets and a hint of davana and saffron added for contrast! It’s a great combination of powerful notes that create something different and intriguing. Sophisticated, complex, boozy, smokey, sweet, a scent on tethering to gourmand side... Unlike any other boozy fragrance that I have or tried as of today. Since I’ve not tried any of the fragrances listed in the reminds me of section, this is a unique perfume to me. Unisex and cold weather appropriate in my opinion. Performance-wise, this fragrance is a star. It boasts excellent longevity and a projection that’s strong enough to get you noticed without feeling overwhelming. It’s a head turner fragrance for sure! Bois 1920 make some outstanding fragrances for both genders, all season and all occasions. Gioco all’Alba is just one perfume from a long list of memorable creations launched by this Florentine house throughout the years! Performance, quality, uniqueness, creativity, packaging, all of that you get from Bois 1920 for such affordable prices compared to other niche European houses. One of the most underrated Italian niche houses! I feel like the past ten years, Xerjoff eclipses all the other Italian brands...

Start very sweet, boozy and caramelized, and after 10 minutes you can start to appreciate the soft leather and the tobacco, I don't know how boronia,davana and peat smell like, whatever the effect does? to me smells like beer malt, strong, dark and sexy, no BS...

It is one of the whiskiest fragrance Ive ever smelled. You get this whifs when you open and sniff bottle of scotch. Great one !

Damn, I've never smelled anything like this. The opening smells EXACTLY like a bottle of whiskey, as if someone poured whiskey on your face. The first 15 minutes are alcohol scent heavy, but after 30 minutes to an hour, the middle notes are kicking in, strong, burned tobacco mixed with sugar, not as smooth and creamy as Mancera's Red Tobacco, though, but manageable. After an hour, the vanilla, oud, and musk kicked in, giving somewhat of a pleasant smell—a lighter version of Kilian's Angel's Share. The drydown is amazing. First time I'm in love with a fragrance this whiskey heavy, if you're an alcoholic or your nose is unbothered by strong off-putting scents, then this one is for you. In terms of longevity and sillage, this thing is a solid beastmode. DO NOT BLIND BUY!!! 9/10 from me.

The opening combines chocolate and cherry liqueur tones, but within a few minutes you’re met with a unique earthy depth. This fragrance has an unexpectedly restrained sweetness, leaning more savory—almost reminiscent of a chocolatey mole sauce encased in soil with a kool aid undertone. Very masculine in my opinion. It’s not a typical boozy tobacco scent at all. I definitely enjoy it, but I also find it strange and somewhat difficult to wear. 7.8/10

If I got pulled over wearing this they would put me down for DUI. You just smell like a sophisticated alchololic in the opening. The drydown just smells like a 1 - 1 of sugar leather imo

Super heavy liqueur accord in the opening. The dry down is somewhat tolerable with leather and vanilla accords. Pretty nice. But not versatile at all. I can’t find any occasions that I could wear this.

This is the booziest fragrance of them all. The King of boozies. I feel whiskey mostly and leather in the background. If you are for this type of fragrance, ok. For me, too much alcohol.

Raisins soaked in rum with a creamy, buttery, fudge-like sauce

The opening straight up smells like you've spritzed Liquor on yourself. Then it drys down to a synthetic leather smell. Reminds me of Armor All leather cleaner.

Opening is a bit off putting, very strong whisky and Tobacco but then when it dies down you get a nice sexy vanilla and leather and reminds me a bit of Babycat
