Could this be the quality Aventus replacement I’ve been looking for? Quite possibly and I’ve tried them all; Royal Vintage, Venetian Blue, Consort, Escencia Parfum, The Orchid Man etc. etc. And I’m not talking straight clones. All of these fragrances bring something different to the mix but they still all have the Aventus dna and structure. I've been getting bored of Aventus of late, not least because I can't help but lament the drop in performance, however, this alternative is of great quality whilst bringing something different to this well troden path. Having read a Fragrantica article, this fragrance was originally manufactured by Olfattology which is owned by the same company that owns Bois 1920. It’s now been handed to Bois but, apparently, it is the same fragrance and formula. This still has some juicy fruit top notes but not as much as Aventus. It’s a bit sharper and it definitely has more floral mids (in fact, I'm surprised that more votes aren't given to the floral notes as these definitely shine through on me, much more so than Aventus). The musk is cleaner and I would say this is fresher and more woody in the drydown but it stills follows a similar path to Aventus. Fruity, woody, leathery, spicy, floral musk. The only slight drawback for me is a larger amount of patchouli in the mid, but this dies back later and it’s the dry down that I like most. This is nearly £100 a bottle cheaper than Aventus, It's long lasting and with a nice amount of silage. I think I actually prefer the smell of this one too. I do question if the days of Aventus are over, it’s dna is everywhere now although it’s still much more known in the fragrance community than out on the street. In fact it’s very rare that I’ve ever smelt Aventus on someone else. This makes a fantastic alternative, if not exactly the same but who would want the same - get a clone if that’s the case. And the woody drydown is just delightful. Personally, I think this is a stunning fragrance; it smells fantastic, it's complex, is high-quality, has great performance and is extremely versatile. I like the Bois presentation too. Still not cheap but well worth a look if you’re disappointed with the latest versions of Aventus and it’s performance and would like a quality alternative. My first Bois 1920 purchase and I’m very pleased with it. Well done Bois 1920, not original but still extremely well executed.

The bottom is completed by woody and amber notes ..." I like this house, so I'm a little biased probably. This is good to my, admittedly novice, nose. Aventus-like. Please don't ask me about batches, I have no idea. Mine's a 2019 I think, and it doesn't last long on my skin. Parana certainly does. Really good performance. Pronounced and sustained birch note. Smoky, dark undertones to a juicy berry/citrus combo. I can't pick out the floral mid. Gets woodier along the way. Snagged it for a good price, so I'm happy. Lovely little bottle; really heavy lid.

Lovely fragrance! Kind of a mix between Hacivat and Aventus, but I fel it’s closer to Hacivat cos Aventus is sweeter and frutier. I also get quite a bit of vetiver which is different from the ones mentioned above. This stands on is own legs and is different enough to own even if you have Aventus and Hacivat. It’s in the same ballpark. I’s very good quality and smooth, not as harsh as the the compared fragrances.

Is this similar to Aventus? Well... Sort of, but there's no pineapple or sweet notes here, which in my opinion, is what really makes Aventus a mass appealing fragrance. This one on the other hand is mostly birch heavy and less playful due to the heaviness of the moss and black currant combination. This makes the overall composition feel bitter, smokey and a bit more serious. I love it.

Great fragrance. It's certainly that I was looking for. For my it's durability is average or even fewer, although woman told me that this smell fills up whole room. Anyway this pleasure is definitely worth it. For first smell once I felt leather for really quick time. And never felt it again

Quite amazing and high quality. Love it! I see the resemblance with the Aventus type The main difference besides the fact it smells awesome, is high quality and lasts... :-) is that it is fruiter, deeper, a bit smokier (not sweet btw).

It does have the fresh musky Aventus-y DNA but it is meaningfully different. I am saying this based on having smelled this today and having smelled a friend wearing the current formulation of Aventus yesterday. They are both very fresh in my mind. The difference comes due to this having a much more pronounced dark birch note and a lot less sweet fruity notes. The birch here reminds me of the birch you find in Tabacco Toscano from Santa Maria Novella. I’d call this fragrance 70% rich dark smoky birch and the top notes fade very quickly. I’d consider it closer to Aventus than Hacivat as Hacivat is bright, fruity, and green if I recall correctly. Parana isn’t really green at all. This house makes artful fragrances so I feel like a poser admitting that my favorite thus far is their Aventus twist, but I really like this hahaha! It smells masculine and alluring — and I think it is worth a sample. 8.2/10

I love fragrances in this vein, I find them extremely virile and I would certainly notice the person wearing it: sure, the base may well be Aventus but I find this interpretation to be really well done. An explosion of juicy citrusy fruits at the opening, followed by spicy and flowery notes, I like it, a lot. I would definitely wear this, I'm a big lover of scents that sound slightly masculine on a woman. Excellent durating and trail.

Smells like a less sweet aventus and raw peanuts

Yep creamy aventus, so basically Hacivat. Great scent. IMO redundant with Hacivat
