One of the most bizarre rose scents ever! It’s an edt but it’s plenty strong, great silage and average lasting power. But it surely outlasts many current edps. The rose here isn’t fresh or dewy. It’s a rose in full bloom, mature, powdery . The sandalwood is very prominent, it almost overpowers the rose. I don’t smell any jasmine at all. The dry dates have a honey like aroma. The Ylang is barely there, smoothing things out a bit. I can’t say I detect the liquor , it’s more like boozy feel. This is most certainly unisex. It is not as sweet as the description might make you believe. It smells strange because it doesn’t smell like anything else I’ve tried, and I’ve had many roses in my life. I don’t understand the name, it just doesn’t make sense. I know this is aimed at a younger crowd but it is not a youthful perfume. It’s very exotic in a mysterious and rather dark way. I don’t sense it as a gourmand despite the notes that might suggest so . Bois 1920 quality is obvious from a distance. If you live in Canada make me an offer for it, I have a 100 bottle, full presentation about 98-99ml left, like new. However I might not keep it, it could be for swap if you want it, as I was hoping for more sweetness . Oh, by the way the bottle and box are typical Bois 1920, classy and elegant.

This is definitely a rose fragrance, but the rose itself is more of a slow steady beat in the background - an aspect that for me is a perfect feminine compliment to a complex gourmand oriental. This smells like the Moroccan souks, somewhere between the piles of sweet dates and local rose oils. The whisky note is also pretty strong to me, at least in the beginning. This fragrance is missing a nice kick of cardamom, maybe saffron, but it's beautiful nonetheless.

not a rose at all....but an excellent sandalwood with a lot of sweet dates. It's the perfect copy of the Santal Blanc old formulation (Serge Lutens) or even Santal de Mysore SL but less spicy. really good
