Spigo 1920

This is one if the most versatile fragrances ive ever smelled, very aromatic, woodsy and can adapt for any weather

"Spigo 1920" initially was a lovely surprise - full of aromatic herbs, completely unisex. With the hot day we're having this was such a good treat. Unfortunately I do have two major letdowns with this - it has a staying power of 2 hours! From this house I expected far more. Given the price tag this would be such a waste to reapply so much. Also, within the heart part there is something moldy lurking, could be the metalic notes that simply don't sit well with my skin. Given the staying power, I can't recommend this, but the first hours was very lovely - fresh, almost sparkling aromatic fragrance full of life, vitality - would be perfect for summer if not the lack of longevity.

There are two notes in here. Lavender and metal. It starts out smelling like when you open the dryer before the clothes are completely dry and dries down to the smell of lavender welded to metal somehow. It's unique, that's for sure. I can't imagine anyone around you will smell the same.

Thumbs down from me. This has a horrid synthetic smell. I don’t get any fruitiness or woods. Just straight up lavender. And synthetic smelling lavender at that. Really quite disappointing given Bois usually produce such excellent fragrances!

a warm aromatic lavender lightly sweetened, nice drydown with cashmeran like a Dans Tes Bras with lavender instead of violet. I really like everything except the lavender, would be a great composition with an other main note.

I really like this one by Bois 1920. Spigo...I've read Spigo means lavender in Italian. This fragrance is unlike any other fragrance I have smelled! Spigo opens with a strong woodsy, cardboard like kind of a smell for the first 30 seconds and then the sweetness emerges. This fragrance is not overly sweet; (.....just the right touch of sweetness IMHO). There is a piney, yet cool sweetness that emerges....not a piney green in addition to the bergamot; also, a small hint of lemon and some juniper berries plus the lavender that really stand out! This, all in the top! In the middle, all I get is the frankincense. Although there are a host of other notes, unfortunately they remain in the background. In the base or dry down (bottom) this wonderful cashmere wood, sandalwood, amber and vanilla aroma develops and it is quite unique!! Overall, a wonderful fragrance that I am glad to have acquired. I think this is unisex. Stunning juice and I absolutely love it!! (Will be back with an update...as I only sprayed on the back of both hands to test; Update: Great fragrance out of the gate, this has similar sweetness to that of Joop homme and Dolce & Gabbana L'Amoureux #6 from the juniper berries and the fruitiness of Creed Original Santal. Amazing sweetness, I am in love! I wouldn't put this and Joop on the same level since there is a certain elegance about this fragrance, a certain ambience that speaks of sophistication and class! When I wore this, I got fruit from the pineapple and tangerine and some sweet spices from the myrrh, even this cool-like metallic notes in the mix to balance it off. Such a wonderful fragrance. Projection: 2 ft. 6 out of 10 in the first couple of hours Sillage: 6.5-7 out of 10 Longevity: 6 hours, maybe 7 hours Overall: Nice, soft, subtle fragrance with some sweetness.

At first sniff, it seemed quite discordant: as if they poured some first class expensive lavender into a freshie like Hollister or Agua Fresca. Yes, the so called metallic notes. Not a nice surprise, really. As if Procter&Gamble bought Lutens and decided to launch Gris Clair Sport, cutting down expenses on everything but the lavender. Yet soon enough, Spigo turns into something more complex. Some earthy undertones, which remind me of cashmeran as presented in my favorite Dans Tes Bras, more ornamented and less dramatic (no violets). I am also reminded of a toned down Demeter Dirt accord. Lavender becomes even softer, there are mildly fruity and piney notes, the texture is thickening with time, musky and earthy. It becomes in fact so rounded that it's hard to distinguish any of the additional listed notes. But some spices have definitely brought up warmth to the mix. All in all, it must be hard to play with lavender without feeling outdated, but Bois 1920 somehow managed to create a contemporary niche lavender. I don't see anything nostalgic about it, which seems almost impossible with this note. I also don't smell any incense, but it's a good thing for a change. It's serene, yes, but at the same time energizing and mind-clearing. I like it.

Contains fragrant botanicals and is fully unisex. The first few hours were quite delightful, with a fresh, almost sparkling fragrant smell that was full of life and vibrancy. Lavender, Juniper Berries, Cardamom, Bergamot, Pineapple, Lemon, and Tangerine are the top notes; Clary Sage, Metallic notes, Olibanum, Basil, Sea Notes, and Geranium are the middle notes; and Coumarin, Musk, Ambrette, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Cedar, Amber, Cashmere Wood, and Vanilla are the base notes. One that is incredibly fresh and pleasant. Lovely!
