003 yuzu feuilles de violette, vétiver

Legitimately exquisite. I've been on a no-buy for fresh scents for a while since I already own plenty but I CANNOT leave my sample of this alone! I've only had it for a week and I've already almost used it all up... There's an initial icy blast but not in a "frigid winter air" type way, more like the intensely cooling feeling of dipping your feet into a cool babbling brook on a hot summer's day, or escaping the unrelenting humidity of the day into a building with top notch AC. Anyway - this smells SO MUCH like something I've tried before but I can't quite put my finger on it. I've never tried anything listed in the 'similar to' section, though I've no doubt smelled Light Blue in the wild without realizing it. It was a long time ago but I Love Love was my signature as a teen and the two get compared constantly, so maybe it's that? Either way, what I DO know is that after an hour or so settling on the skin it smells like Louis Vuitton Afternoon Swim!!!!!! Unisex and lasts a reasonable amount of time for this scent profile (about 5 hours). It's very uncommon for me to fall head-over-heels in love with more than one scent from a brand, but between this and 902, Bon Parfumeur has shot to the top of my list of brands I need to explore more. Edit: having now sampled Wulong Cha, I can attest to their similarities. They're far from 1:1 though; the Nishane is a LOT smokier on my skin, and the citrus more prominent. Its freshness comes from the citrus + tea combo, whereas in 003 it reads to me as an almost ozonic freshness, and it's the most prominent note too. The citrus and vetiver sit in the background and I don't get a tea vibe from it. They're cousins rather than siblings but I could see some people feeling like owning both would be redundant since they essentially function in the same way.

Another great scent from Bon Parfumeur, not really that original but a lovely natural fragrance nevertheless. Juicy opening with yuzu, bergamot, and ozonic violet leaves buttressed by lemony elemi, a crisp jasmine + neroli chord, and an earthy, rooty vetiver drydown. Has a botanical, tea-like aura that I really enjoy. It's similar in vibe to Armani's Eau de Cèdre, but in my opinion smells a lot better than that fragrance (I really don't care for that scratchy synthetic suede note). Also reminds me of the Encre Noire range, particularly the original (though a lot less dark) and Sport. I'm not a huge fan of citrus fragrances in general, but this one is exactly the kind that I enjoy. Can't comment on performance that much, but the projection is pretty good for the first hour. Overall, I prefer 004 from this line, which is one of my favorite pick-ups of 2021 in general, but this is a very close second. A perfect, breezy, laid-back, and zen-like fragrance for the hottest days. If you like citrus, vetiver, and violet leaves, this is a no-brainer, especially for the price. 8/10

I am adding it to my list of favorite summer perfumes. Green, sweet and aquatic. Yes, it may sound like a cliche, but I still want to call it "summer in a bottle". It opens with some green notes, fresh and clean. It smells just like crushing leaves and stems of green plants. Soon you get that unique yuzu note, sweet and citrusy. As it develops on my skin, I start getting something aquatic too. I can envision walking through a garden after rain, all the leaving dripping water, relaxing and uplifting. I see jasmine is listed here, but to be honest, I hardly smell it. I don't get anything indolic. Instead, the earthy woody vetiver gets noticeable soon afterwards. After like 10 to 15 minutes, the green notes start fading away, while the sweetness lingers. It smells still fresh and clean. The woody vetiver goes very well with the sweet citrusy yuzu. It is a simple but invigorating perfume for hot summer. I only wish it would last longer on my skin. After about 2-3 hours I need reapply.

Wow... First impression: After it sits there for about 30 minutes, when you smell your skin up close, it's extremely reminiscent of Escentric 02. Must be a certain note, not sure which. The fragrance is different in the air though. Not the same fragrance at all, but just very similar when smelled up close on my skin. They have the jasmine note in common, but I doubt that is it. Must be some kind of combination, or a shared substance that you can't really tell just by looking at the notes, which of course aren't actual ingredients. Could it be hedione?! Very nice! Fresh, slightly sweet yuzu with clean vetiver and some neroli. Tons and tons of violet leaf, which gives it this wet, ozonic texture. Combines great with the vetiver! Wearing this on a cold January day, but I'm sure this will be gorgeous come spring and summer! These Bon Parfumeur fragrances are very affordable by the way!

I had a sample of this for about a year before I finally gave in and bought this and it's definitly worth it (especially for that price)! I was getting sick of sweet, heavy perfumes and this is the perfect refreshing pick up scent for summer. Incredible realistic citrus with a slightly green, floral note, which gives a kind of green tea fragrance vibe, even though it doesnt actually smell like tea. Surprisingly good longevity as well, I can still smell it a day after spraying it.

Super clean and uplifting tea-like citrus, floral with a nice subtle woody/musky base. This was my spring and summer scent and I love it so much I used to just pick it up to sniff the bottle. Have received great compliments on this one, it's type of fragrance that you could share with a partner as it is perfectly unisex. Surprisingly good performance for such a delicate smell, lingers nicely on clothes. Love the opening and dry-down. for me this is a 10/10. Perfectly blended.

another fave from Bon Parfumeur, and my current spring/summer signature. so fresh and clean, layers well for a more unique scent and longevity is pretty good. opens with a mix of zesty fruit and soft florals, and settles into something a little calmer. i really love the way Bon Parfumeur fragrances evolve on the skin over time, so if you try this or another fragrance and don’t love it right away, give it a little while and it might develop into something you like :)

I don't know if people have gone nose blind from wearing all that oud that's been so popular lately, but one spray of 003 has lasted on my skin since about 11 am today - it's now 8.40 pm and I can still smell it. As for the scent itself, it is indeed similar to EA Green Tea, but better (according to my very subjective judgement). I really like it.

This is my absolute favourite of the line, I bought a 100 ml of it for summer and now only have 60. Smell of summer of 2021! Super gorgeous green leaf yuzu, just sweet enough, and super fresh - perfect for hot days in the sun when you want to smell fresh and not overwhelm. Zero chemical aspects, just fresh delicious fruity green goodness.

my summer fave!! sparkling and sweet green tea with yuzu i wear this to go running or swimming, layers well with sunscreen and bug spray. thoroughly unisex. moderate longevity and sillage, good for the price, and compliment magnet :)

citrus green tea but those words mean nothing really - this is exquisite !!!!

I blind bought this at maybe a 50% discount, which I think is exactly what it's worth, and am very happy with it. Opens with bright citrus (though I feel yuzu should be sweeter tan this, I mostly get bergamot), quickly dries to cold, peppery vetiver, almost salty from I think the violet leaf. Like a more sophisticated version of a million generic citrus-vetiver colognes. It's a great no-brainer everyday scent for me, though the performance is very weak. I actually like the minimal sillage, but I wish it lasted a little longer: I never detect any of it on my clothes at the end of the day, and usually even colognes leave behind a little something noticeable. Just checked the Bon Parfumeur site and they're asking 95€ for 100mL, which given how it's not very unique and lasts a couple hours at best without much projection, is way too expensive. It actually reminds me a lot of the (very nice!) colognes Jo Malone did for Zara, and those were I believe under 30€. Paying more than that for this feels a little silly, though I'm happy to have my bottle.

My very first try of Bon Parfumeur is 003 Yuzu Violet Leaf Vetiver, their straightforward naming convention giving away a bit of the blend, which I think straightforwardly encapsulates the citric, fresh, floral, and slightly green and earthy aspects that the three titular notes employ. It’s very easygoing overall while the sharpness of the violet and multifaceted vetiver provide a good bit of intrigue and sophistication beyond the yuzu tartness. It’s a sensible, versatile freshie that also has some nuance and depth, surely memorable enough and one I would enjoy wearing all the time while not standing out too much in an extremely positive or negative way. Its concentration is eau de parfum, and its pricing is quite reasonable in the current market, even for something that does not reinvent the wheel, so to speak, at $107/53/34 for 100/30/15ml, and sold at boutiques like Ministry of Scent, from which I bought a curated sample set of best sellers. It does seem to be sold on the secondary market, also. 7 out of 10

Bon Parfumeur 003 is one of those fragrances that doesn’t try to be more than it is, and that’s exactly why I enjoy it. It opens with a bright, fresh burst of citrus, with the yuzu being the most noticeable note to my nose. Clean, uplifting, and easy to wear, it has a simple charm that makes it instantly likable. The performance is modest and it doesn’t last particularly long, but I don’t really see that as a drawback here. This feels more like a refreshing cologne than a statement fragrance. It’s the kind of scent you reach for after a shower, on a warm day, or whenever you want something light that puts you in a good mood. Uncomplicated, cheerful, and effortlessly pleasant. Sometimes that's all you need.

Summer in a bottle ☀️🍋 If you want a fresh, sparkling, citrusy fragrance with hints of white florals and a touch of comforting musk, then Bon Parfumeur 003 is the fragrance for you. Think of this as a chilled glass of refreshing lemonade or lemon iced tea on a super hot summer day. It is cheerful & bright, slightly sweet, perfectly citrusy and very uplifting! It’s unisex but according to my son, smells better on him than on me, and using that excuse, he’s claimed this bottle for himself. 003 is also almost identical to Nishne Wulong Cha X (just the tea note is missing in 003) but at a much lower price, so definitely check this one for a more budget-friendly option.

It gives out the floral and woody smell that suggests a stable vibe, which makes it suit occasions like office. It begins with a short smell of tangerine and lemon (not like yuzu to me), with a slight woody smell. And after 15 minutes, the fruity smell changes into floral one. The floral one also smells like the flowers of tangerines, like the smell of an early spring park. The smells ends with vetiver. But it is not that heavy like "Gray Vetiver" of Tom Ford or "Terre d'Hermès" of Hermès. It is the vetiver with flower.

Yes Yes Yes, I agree that this is a wonderful summer scent. Yuzu and other citrus notes in the opening, then violet leaf and elemi transitions with some florals. It’s pretty and on my skin, yuzu softens quite a bit in the heart. It’s present but not dominant. Overall a natural, beautiful aromatic scent with a spa-like feeling. Quality in a competitive price makes this a consideration for me even though my collection is too large, and contains perfume I will never consume in this lifetime.

Yes, it's tea. But I'll describe it like this: it's like an orange pekoe tea with a few spoonfulls of yuja-cheong mixed in. Very strong citrus peel at the very start. Love the violet leaf. Getting some neroli but not really any jasmine. There is something metallic and not entirely pleasant after a few hours. More is more. This will be great in summer I reckon. I wish it would last more than an hour or two.

My favorite from Bon Parfumer. Soft and refreshing yuzu with a bitter twist from the vetiver, very similar to a green tea scent. Delicate but there is hardly any sweetness at all, which makes it very unisex. My major complaint is that it doesn't last on my skin - at all. It also sits VERY close to the skin. For those reasons, I can't bring myself to buy a full bottle. The eternal struggle of freshies!

It is very "green tea", but with a bit of depth from the resin. Fresh, watery, crisp; eventually becoming slightly powdery on full dry down. Violet leaf and bergamot are the starring act, with yuzu as the opener. Resin, neroli, and musk are supporting acts- noticed but not what you came for. A great fragrance for citrus and green fragrance lovers.

Very clean, bright, fresh and tinged with sweet citrus. I don't really smell the notes at all except the yuzu - what I actually thought I was smelling at first was some kind of green tea / ice tea scent. Interesting. It would have a light cooling effect in summer, but I think it could also work for winter because it almost has a snowy feel.

Entirely unisex and eminently wearable. No 'beast mode' with this one, which suits me fine. Would not describe it as a floral - the jasmine and neroli seem to be below my level of perception, while the violet leaf is quite prominent. Its nice to have another citrus option - the yuzu is pretty tart compared to, say, lemon or bergamot even.

White floral. Vetiver. White floral and green opening with very clean light grassy dry down. Not much Vetiver. Unisex leaning feminine. Performance is mid. Not noticed by others and gone in 4-5 hours. If you want a clean, pretty, light Vetiver that is really more soft and floral this could be a good choice. Easy to find samples.

Perfect for hot days. Slightly masculine. The opening is very citrusy, although I tried a real Yuzu (the fruit) and it smells slightly more sweet and exotic. This is a nice fresh inoffensive citrus scent with moderate longevity and small sillage. Will not by it again.

Feels like you're splashing yourself with the freshest water on earth on a hot day. It's super juicy and quite green. In fact I have never had a perfume where violet leaves were so incredibly in the forefront. Good performance and nice sillage as well.

I'm testing the Bon Perfumer discovery set of 23 fragrances blind. I haven't looked up anything about the brand or the fragrances. I'm working through the cute little bottles in their numbered order. 003 had me searching for the opening so long I lost my thoughts. But as it dried down I'm getting pepper and greens. There's some brine to it too. Like 002 though, its lower sillage makes pulling notes out hard to decipher. It kinda smells like the aromatics of a very nice light antipasto platter. After a bit it has the air of vetiver, but it's so low I feel like I'm just grasping for something. Looking at the notes now the Yuzu explains some of the brine bitterness, and the Elemi part of the peppery element. It is overall more vetiver to me though.

The opening reminds me of Still Life by Olfactive Studio from the yuzu. Dry down is citrusy from the yuzu, floral and ozonic from the violet leaf. The florals are to pungent for me, especially the jasmine. Overal an ok scent.

I reaaaaally wanted to love this one. Got the chance of getting some of the Bon Perfumer catalogue for a great price and was on the verge of buying this one, as wulong Cha is one of my favourites. Glad I didn't get a full bottle! Don't get me wrong: I understand why people like it, I feel the nice fresh yuzu opening! I don't get any tea at all. but on my skin it is kind of "screechy ". An unpleasant smell like someone who's wearing citrus on top of sweat 😅 Maybe in colder weather? In summer I Had to rub it off.

i got gifted a bottle of this - endlessly trying to love it ... always end up trying to wipe it off my arm. interesting notes, not for me, very astringent on my skin and sour, probably the yuzu doesn’t work for me, but can see how it would be appealing to some!

Had to buy this after seeing the positive reviews and fantastic notes! 30 ml on LookFantastic for £32 with code APP20. I developed a love of warm tropical violet leaves since my foray into perfumes, and it is beautiful combined with the tea-like aromatic note from the yuzu. Yuzu fruits are used a lot in Japanese and Korean cuisine and I really like having this in my collection as something that stands out from the lemon and grapefruit perfumes. Very spa-like relaxing feel for going on vacation in the summer. At first I did not appreciate the light longevity and projection but I have come to like it. There is definitely a Zen quality in the refreshing simplicity of the notes. Wearing this makes me feel calm as I do creative work throughout the day. Since I burned through my 30 ml bottle quickly I added a full-size100 ml to my collection.

30 ml, blind buy. @polaroidcaesar is bang on. Despite not having a tea note listed, this is what Armani Eau de Cedre was trying so hard to be (despite being marketed "for men" that one is most definitely unisex), and all without the scratchy synthetic, off-putting nature of the Armani. They both share the same aura, however, this one doesn't turn into a muddled shampoo-like soapy mess in the dry down like Armani Eau de Cedre does. I love the yuzu in this, sets it apart from the glut of grapefruit citrus freshies. Unisex, could easily see this on any gender. I also see the similarities to both Wulong Cha and EA Green tea. Great dumb reach juice for the summer. Going to be using this a lot in Bali. 7.5/10

If you like something summery, refreshing, with a hint of darkness from the violet, this is for you. Pleasant, simple but complex. Totally unisex, but more feminine in comparison to Eau de Cartier Concentree, which is the fragrance that I own and the most similar to this one. One weak side is the persistence, relatively short, but still highly recommended to put the nose inside a bottle!

Uplifting yuzu and green tea scent. Very light and bright, the violet leaf is prominent. It is short lived but very nice, worth to reapply. I think this is unisex but slightly more masculine leaning. Probably the type of scent I would wear to the park, or to the gym. Very fresh and nice.

Bought it and quickly sold it. Masculine leaning to my nose. Chantecaille does vetiver the best.
