202 watermelon, redcurrant, jasmine

A fragrance for carefree enjoyment. Ok. . I have a large animalic collection. I totally dig it when it is used with taste and restraint. This is something different: '202' is described on box as 'fruity and fresh'. You got a problem with that? It has a bright scent, and is very true in form to the notes. This smells somewhat real. I don't mind if it is synthetic. I don't even know. '202 lists on the box watermelon, red currant, and jasmine. I wanted to try the watermelon. It is either my Liz Clayborn Curve or Appeal which contains watermelon but it was mostly offset by some kind of marine or aquatic note. I wanted a watermelon scent. This is a carefree, highly affordable scent. Two hours later you can smell it on your arm at ten inches applying two sprays per arm. The packaging will make you smile in bright yellow. In the bottle recess there is a hole cut out from the back for easy pushout. My hands were sore from automotive work and I just showered!!! Boy. . . was I glad I could retrieve this flash of joyous scent. Honestly, I just love this scent so much. It is easy on the wallet around $45USD. Cute, tall rectangular 15Ml smaller bottle--so hot, so minimalist, so fresh. I think it is just so fun. At $45 a bottle I just got '203' and will probably go on a feeding frenzy for many more!!!! I'm gonna get nasty--in this world of hair-brained niche products, massively projecting expensive fragrances that say,' Yeah. I have more money.' Snarky perfume reviews, 'Oh, that is so '80's. (I loved the ,80's don't get me started.) How about the crazy butt-if-erous animalics? A funny thing happened in a bar when a beaver, met a civet, who was dating a sailor with a bag of ambergris? (Is ambergris white and powdery? No??!!) Oh just stop. Let's have some fun eh? Get it. . . let it fly. Take a shot!!!

I love how this smells, girls love how this smells (they might even ask to try it on) and wow do those base notes smell godly, just wish it performed better.

Amazing Watermelon! So unique and beautiful. Walked into their store in Paris, and found every fragrance to be just fantastic and at great prices.

I don't get watermelon or jasmine from this, but a melange of tropical fruits, hints of juicy Pineapple, mango, grapefruit etc, and a rather nice clean hot laundry snell faintly in the background that takes the sweet edge off and stops it being sickly. Unfortunately it quickly becomes just fruity sweet. Pleasant but not especially tropical. Reminds me of Reve by Van Cleef and Arpels

While testing, I was surprised to see watermelon as the top ingredient. While it certainly is fruity, it does not smell characteristically watermelony to me. I mainly was struck by citrus, then I can smell it combined with more of a honeydew melon or cantaloupe smell. It is not overly sweet or fresh smelling to me, rather it has a round warmth to it that has a dusky character.

I'm testing the Bon Perfumer discovery set of 23 fragrances blind. I haven't looked up anything about the brand or the fragrances. I'm working through the cute little bottles in their numbered order. 202 opens fresh, and I want to say like a refreshing guava and papaya juice. Undeniably fruity, it dries down more musky with maybe some amber or resin-like base. There's a clear tartness at the top, so maybe grapefruit or some other tart fruit. But it doesn't last, I bit later all I get is its base and the slightest echo of something citrus. Tartness has mostly receded. Looking at the notes now they mostly fit right in. I'm going with my fruit over "Mellon", as I just don't get any cantaloupe or other varieties. Mango makes sense. The peach in the base seems not fitting in, but the caramel explains the base. It's more amber than caramel. It's a nice tropical (mellon) fruit fragrance. Unlike many other fragrances in this collection, 202 opens moderately and hangs that way longer than many of its siblings. This is almost more refreshing than the fragrance.

The top note smells like watermelon candy, which I found quite decent. Unfortunately, it fades after about an hour, which was a little disappointing.

Like lemon from your dishwashing detergent, a little fruity, but if you sniff more carefully, the smell is not natural

Smells like a cheap synthetic watermelon shampoo with a hint of lemon, disappears within 30 min, not good at all

Smells like a nice-ish body wash or shampoo. Not in a bad way but also definitely not worth buying.

Super girly. It is a explosion of fruits, mostly Honeydew Melon and mango, peach, some citrus. The drydown is musky and the jasmine is the main floral note. It smells like something from the late 90's or early 2000's. It doesn't last at all, after 30 minutes it is just a skin scent. It feels nostalgic, like something I used in my teens.

This opens up with a juicy honeydew note (not quite as transparent and watery as watermelon), but quickly becomes very caramellic. It's too cloying for me as it's heavy on the caramelised sugar note, which causes it to deviate from the refreshing fruitiness promised by the note breakdown, and instead makes it sticky and saccharine.

Pretty good like they did cinnamon makes it different reminds me of quartana mandrake pomegranate

Makes me feel nostalgic to my teens! Very girlie and sweet scent.
