204 Figue Edamame Essence d'Ambrette

I don't usually write reviews, but this fragrance has none and that's a shame because it's incredible. 204 is Bon Parfumeur's twist on the Philosykos DNA, but it's not a dupe. What I mainly get are lush green leaves, a tree-bark-like nuance, a creamy fig note and a powdery iris. It's affordable, performs well, and has an excellent scent. This is 100% unisex and smells chic. I can confidently recommend this to anyone interested in a twist on the Philosykos DNA, or to those looking for a budget-friendly alternative. Other Bon Parfumeur fragrances worth trying: 003, 004, 502 and 803.

pretty, bright, elegant, and simple. i think this is a great all occasions fragrance. i could wear it to work, church, brunch, or during a day where I feel alert but sensual and beautiful. definitely a great fragrance for sunny days. i would imagine this does well in hot weather as it's quite simple--not a fragrance that does too much. the ambrette is strong, this is a great fragrance if you're wanting to know what ambrette itself alone is. the fig makes it tart. ok edit: the fig is waaay more detectible on clothing than on skin!

best fig fragrance to date!! fresh, creamy, beautiful green scent:)))) idk about fico di amalfi but this beat philosykos by far for me ahahah. and i love philosykos!

Chilling out at the stunning Croatian coastline... while munching on a dill pickle lol. Beautiful, green yet also creamy fig reminiscent of a Southern European landscape in the summertime. It’s more reminiscent of the entire tree than the fruit, personally. On me it doesn’t read sweet or fruity at all, it’s woody and slightly green fig, but not at all in a sharp or abrasive way. It’s got an airy seaside quality to it like a fig-lined countryside path not too far from the coast. It’s just a shame something in the base (the sandalwood note?) reads slightly pickle-y to my nose ugh. The pickle effect is really subtle, so I really hope I will be able to overlook it. There are definitely elements to this that I really enjoy. I’ll be finishing my sample and reassessing how I feel about it.

Clean, crisp green fig — the leaves, the tree, the whole thing — with a touch of creaminess. Then in the dry down, a soft powdery iris & sandalwood comes through. It just works. Bought this for the opening which is crisp and airy fruity and slightly green notes. Those fade pretty quickly on me and this becomes an ambrette bomb. Maybe a little bit of rooty orris but mostly musky sweet ambrette, kind of glossier you. I enjoy it nonetheless but would’ve enjoyed if some of the other notes didn’t fade away as fast.
