702 encens, lavande, bois de cachemire

#1490 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a a decant. The first of five from Bon Perfumeur and I clearly have been missing out. This is a really nice scent. A lot of common notes, but the olibanum, balsam and elemi really enhance what would be an otherwise commonplace lavender and wood fragrance. Definitely worth owning, and at $140 from ScentSplit it will not be far down the list for me. If you like Yves Saint Laurent "Y Elixir" you'll like this much more. It smells like I think Adidas "Chill" would smell if they actually put some perfume oil in it. (No one should waste their money on that watery mess). Another $130 scent that I think is similar and just as satisfying as this is Thameen "Diadem." And Lattafa's "Winner's Trophy Silver" and Zimaya "Abadi Opulent" are some similar but much lower priced options, though with moderate performance. Solid quality, masculine leaning, but unisex. Acceptable for the office. Good date wear. But as with anything $100+, definitely get a vial from ScentSplit for $3.99 to try before you buy .

This is reaaaaaally nice, although I'm having a hard time smelling lavender or cashmeran, which are listed as two of the main three notes by the brand itself. It's definitely a bit smoky aromatic though. I'm getting a lot of lemon, slightly smoky. Curiously enough the lemon isn't just a fleeting top note, I keep smelling it throughout. There's some creaminess, from vanilla I suppose, but it's not overly sweet at all. The slightly vanillic, incensey citrus is somewhat reminiscent of Z&V This is Him. By no means the same scent, because there's a lot more smoke and vanilla and other things going on in the Z&V, but the citrus seems similar. Remains somewhat close to the skin, it seems. Also doesn't seem to last very long, just a few hours, though it could be olfactory fatigue in play. Hard to say! Very unisex. Soft, slightly creamy, slightly smoky, citrusy aromatic.

I love it, and I might have to say that I fell in love with 702 at the first sniff. It opens with a peppery lavender note, accompanied by a subtle hint of citrus. The incense note is present, but not as prominent or in a temple-like fashion. The dry-down is heavenly creamy, thanks to the combination of cashmere and vanilla. 702 is a good number for autumn or cozy rainy days, but sadly, the performance is on the weak side.

For me, this is quite unique. It’s juicy but is also smokey, resinous, woody, spicy and creamy. Definitely aromatic. Personally I love wearing this on its own but I think layering this would be pretty easy and simple. Try a light white floral or something fresh like 102 or 801! SPL on its own is moderate but it’s perfectly acceptable since I can always layer it with another scent!

Such a cozy, pleasant unisex scent — I love it! It layers beautifully with Passage d’Enfer and complements it with a lavender, woody note. Also, the price is amazing for what it’s worth. I’m obsessed! <3 Update: Ok, so this layered with Passage d‘Enfer is my new signature scent now 🤭

Completely blown away by this. Musky, elegant, and little bit sweet. It’s so gorgeous!!! If you like rehab by initio you might like this. I prefer this as it’s a bit darker, more musky and balsamic than Rehab. I need a full bottle because this is a stunner.

I was looking for an alternative to my signature scent L'Occitan and this was a recommended alternative with similar note. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of what I love about L'Occitan in this - strong pepper opening drying down into lavender and wood. The pepper is a little more spicy and less peppery. A little less incense and a little more musk. All in all I'm glad I sampled this - If L'Occitan keeps increasing prices this may become my backup plan. Also a pretty good alternative to Miller Harris Le Cedre.

I like it! Extremely pleasant to the nose. I’m a smoky, incense-driven perfume lover, so it’s right up my alley. That being said, it’s just a “like” for me. I do appreciate the lavender peeking through the haze and also just how balsamic this is. But it just feels straightforward, not necessarily special.

A good masculine leaning scent. Quite similar though to a Baux and L'Occitane from L'Occitane, not the same but certain reminds me of them (Baux more so) quite a bit. Performance and projection are decent if not remarkable. £48 for 30ml is not too outrageous price wise either. 7/10.

A soft, creamy woody fragrance with a touch of smokiness. It's leans masculine but it's gentle and pleasant. I don't detect any lavender.

this is good for special occasions like weddings, good incense fragrance, only downside to this is the longevity

I'm testing the Bon Perfumer discovery set of 23 fragrances blind. I haven't looked up anything about the brand or the fragrances. I'm working through the cute little bottles in their numbered order. 702 opens with a familiar tobacco body, slightly sweet with vanilla, bourbon, and rum notes with a touch of ash, and I get some pepper too. It's a nice blend and not overly alcoholic, chain smoker, or exuberant of men with big shoulders. You could pull this off at a dinner party without being perceived as the person that smells like they smoke or drink too much. Looking at the notes now, the overall composition is fitting, though I'm a little surprised to not see some more rum, leather, or smoke notes. Just the same, each note adds to the overall fragrance, letting something entirely different emerge. The lemon and lavender suggest a fragrance of a different kind, so don't expect anything categorically "lemon" or "lavender". It is more as described, vanilla, resin, pepper, musk, etc. The combination of which leans tobacco and leather, but remaining friendly and approachable. It's essentially mild mannered, but I imagine those wanting something in this arena, want it bigger, bolder, and more gladiator sized.

This just ok. A quiet scent with citrus-lavender-incense-cedar as main notes. Thank god no prominent cashmere wood, and vanilla isn't very perceptible. Perhaps best suited for men. It's not bad, just not that special, and performance isn't very good either. The drydown is a mediocre cedar. Bon Parfumeur has better masculine leaning options, such as 603 (cuir, encens, fève tonka), which I found very attractive.

This is a weird perfume. Opens up really citrusy, slight peppery. Dry down strong cedar. Cashmere and vanilla almost non existent. I would call this scent a citrusy, woody and spicy scent. Nothing unique.

didn't get invictus or sauvage at all, gris clair more close ( which i didn't care for ).. this is "nice" but thats it for me
