901 nutmeg, almond, patchouli

Such a great barbershop style spicy perfume. It kind of reminds me of Lancôme Miracle for Men, but more rich and colorful, whereas Miracle was smoother and more polished. 901 is a comfy cushion of patchouli, vanilla, nutmeg, and musk, all harmoniously fighting for first place—and the result is a spicy, fresh, elevated barbershop scent. It’s classy enough to remind me of 80s barbershops, yet modern enough to intrigue and bring highly desirable elements to the front. At the beginning, I was overwhelmed by the amount of musk from the cup of bottle. A lot of musk also stays on cloth, and I’m not a big fan of clean musk on its own... but on skin and hair it remains rich and spicy, with the musk acting as a backbone. Love it—and I still can’t believe I got such a high-quality perfume so heavily discounted.

Bon Parfumeur 901 is one of those rare scents that feels both effortless and deeply intriguing. It’s subtle, intellectual, and cozy. It hits that sweet spot: warm enough for the cold, dry enough for office wear, with an aromatic edge that works beautifully. It opens with this dry, spiced brightness—nutmeg and citrus jumping out first—but there’s nothing overly sharp or aggressive. Instead, it feels like a quiet confidence. What I love most is its versatility. It's the kind of scent someone leans in to ask about, because they can't quite place it... but they know it smells like you. If you're looking for something that feels intelligent, understated, and just a little seductive, 901 delivers in a way that’s hard to put into words—but easy to keep reaching for.

All the notes mentioned here are definitely presenting themselves step by step but it happens in a more homogenous way, all blended together very well. To me there's a comforting warm, sweet, spicy presence... yes a little akin to our father's and grandfather's aftershaves and it settles into a subtle, creamy, comforting almost sweet rice pudding smell on my skin, which I love! Overall it does feel masculine and it may very well be completely different on other skin types (mine is olive/mediterranean). Bon Parfumeur delivers: not over-the-top, good fragrance that doesn't need to make a statement like other major brands, it doesn't scream out, it's more subtle and sophisticated and that's how I like mine!

mmm ya great job here, perfect balance of masculine with out getting "old skool" - grounded calm in charge, slight sense of humor, good signature scent worthy id say. Ya kinda like spice bomb ( not a fan of, to synthetic just off to me ) but this citrus here props it up perfectly with that pimento and nutmeg giving comfort some "shaving cream" vibes. Ya prob closest to Givanchi play, i liked that one 2 decades ago? LOVE how you can smell the notes individually here. Agree with @drummertama11.. ah you know what im getting Xeryus Rouge Givenchy vibes way higher quality, def more modern. Ya this is the guy that is confident enough not to wear your typical "bleu/blue" frag, grunged casenova.

DEFINITELY a nuttier almost spicier version of V&R Spicebomb! The opening is eh but the mid and dry down is surprisingly superb. 100% a fall/winter banger no doubt! It doesn’t smell cheap whatsoever, almost niche quality if I’m being honest. ...almost better than Spicebomb and I love Spicebomb 🥴❤️ So far the scent profile alone is definitely a 10 in my book. Don't know much about longevity and projection as I’m barely smelling this one as I type; but for the price, very blind buy worthy if you’re into smooth warm spicy scents.

This is one of my favourites. I'm a big Bon Parfumeur fan. It seems like you masculine fragrance guys must have been keeping all the best scent notes for yourself, everyone's saying this is so masculine. 901 is great- zingy grapefruit and ginger at the beginning- then shifting into the best bit, the warm woody spice easing into patchouli and musk. And hours later I get a whiff of 'what's that lovely smell? Oh it's me!' Great perfume for male/female/unisex. Love it :-)

A better performing, deeper, richer Spicebomb. This is so slept on. Heard some frag "influencer" the other day hate on non-whimsical fragrance names. Instantly thought of Bon Parfumeur because there is no gimmick. Just a number and 95% of the time (for their masculine leaning frags) an amazing scent. This and 602 are absolute bangers for men who love woody and spicy scents without all the sweet stuff.

A beautiful and very well-executed old-school type of fragrance. I wouldn't say it's the most unique but this smells natural enough to avoid being mixed up with designers. Longevity and projection are quite decent too. One of the best I've smelled from the house (alongside 603, 701, 902, and 903).

Year around, any time, any occasion. The quintessential daily workhorse. I don't know if it's the pepper, but I get a slight liquorice vibe (distantly reminiscent of that in CdG Black) that makes the scent stand out from your run-of-the-mill masculine shower-fresh frags.

Super masculine. Elements are balanced well. Starts off playful and becomes this pleasant pepper-vanilla concoction. There is this raw aroma from the wood and musk which is subtle but contributes a lot. Really nice.

Holy shit...it finally hit me. This legit smells like Spicebomb, Guerlain L’Homme, and Dior Homme 2020 had a threesome!!! THIS IS A BANGER!!!!

My best friend gifted me this one, I'm very very grateful. This is my favourite perfume now.

A less harsh more smooth more wearable Spicebomb.

I'm testing the Bon Perfumer discovery set of 23 fragrances blind. I haven't looked up anything about the brand or the fragrances. I'm working through the cute little bottles in their numbered order. 901 opens up very aromatic with a hint of dark vanilla. It's nicely layered with each layer exposing itself as it dries down. The result has elements of tobacco, leather, and little hints of spice. It isn't desperately masculine, which I appreciate. At the same time that nondescript blend can come across as nice, but generic. Picking out specific notes is difficult. Looking at the notes now, many are listed that might add to the overall fragrance scent but are not standouts. While the wood, vanilla, nutmeg, ginger, and grapefruit can be found in the blend, they really swirl together into something aromatic and it's own personality. At the same time other notes likes pimento, almond, and tinks bean seem reaching. It's a nice fragrance, a step up from mainstream fragrances but lasted about as long potentially making some mainstream fragrances a better buy.

Wow, this is so nice! Just like 902 (which is very different from this), this has all the makings of a classic late eighties / early nineties men's after-shave, yet it smells modern somehow and not dated at all. Spicy, subtly citrusy. It just has that scent DNA that makes you go: they don't make them like this anymore! Except Bon Parfumeur does! Might lean masculine, but can be worn by anyone these days, really. Nice sillage and longevity isn't bad either. At this price point, it's excellent. What a great house! 901 seems to be flying under the radar somehow, looking at Bon Parfumeur reviews online, but I recommend it wholeheartedly! <3 EDIT: This is so, SO good! The more I wear it, the more I love it. Very addictive! This one seems not so special at first, but it has to grow on you. Don't sleep on this, it's gorgeous, and one of the best offerings from this house! Five stars!!!!!

A fragrance to contemplate and wonder spicy one indeed not in a bad way mind you but it’s definitely something different When you spray it you get the black pepper right away with a hint of citrus not much and it fades instantly If you are concerned about the patchouli don’t worry it’s the enhancer in the scent that gives it’s the very good ground or more precise power of stay (longevity) The true face of the fragrance shows up after an hour maximum two What rules this land is the nutmeg If by chance you love to smell like nutmeg or you like its smell here you will find your aim It’s a great discovery that demands respect I like this house and considering trying other creations in the future

This is one of my favorites from Bon Parfumeur so far (I've tried 7). I'm a woman, but I have 1899 and I've snuck a few wearings of Spicebomb when on holiday with my brother in law. I much prefer this as it's less harsh, a bit rounder and smoother, it's also more interesting/unique. In addition to that 901 leans more unisex than those forementioned imo. I love the opening when the citrus and almond stands out! And I'm relieved that the spices excludes a throat (and nose) itching overload of cinnamon. Nutmeg is not a favorite for me, but it works very well here when it's not overdone. 901 does come across as quite natural indeed, I enjoy this very much!

Smells like a flanker of Passion For Men. I like old school fragrances and this has some interesting twists on the Passion formula ... but not interesting enough to make it worth niche prices for me, especially with Passion readily available. Still worth a try, especially if your nose is more sophisticated than mine and picks up on subtle magic that may lurk within.

This one surprised me a little bit. Right out of the gate, it smelled like a nice after shave. But it softened to something creamier with just a touch of woods and spice. I get some tonka/vanilla too. This almost imagine inhaling a beautiful soft leather, if it had been lightly scented when scented leather goods were a thing.

901 starts almost same as Spicebomb OG. Dry down is where they differ: Spicebomb goes into pepper + cherry tobacco and 901 - pepper + nutmeg and woods, this is Spicebomb for mature. Longevity is good, around 8 hours, but sillage is average. I get 2 hours of medium projection before its a skin scent.
