902 armagnac, blond tobacco, cinnamon

Wow, what a gem this is. I've been wearing it for a few weeks now, often feeling showered by a new impression every time I bring my nose to it. I bought this fragrance to test out the house of Bon Parfumeur primarily but I also had the goal in mind of disecting the notes that are so clearly stated on the bottle to train my nose. Upon first sniffing, I recognized the sweetness and tobacco immediately. I would actually in a way compares this to the sweet likes of One Million Prive by Paco Rabanne in its cinnamon and tobacco combo, but what really drags this one back into a more sophisticated character is the armagnac, which alongside the orange in the top really keeps the fragrance airy before the drydown. The One Million likeness isn't the only one I sense in this fragrance - I think the vanilla creates a similarily aromatic character to that of Eau des Baux, and I would even assert that the amber, tobacco and ginger combo makes it close to D&G The One. Enough about similarities however; how does it make me feel? Clean, yet somehow rugged and undeniably (!) drunk. Yes, the armagnac definitely makes me feel like I had some a second ago. For this reason, I find it to undeniably be a night-time fragrance. However, I don't feel like many others that this fragrance is to be boxed into the winter category just because it's warm and spicy - the green ingredients of this fragrance certianly won't allow it. Instead I see this as a great sensual yet serious fragrance for nights out, ideally in spring/autumn or if you're feeling tame, winter days inside. If you go light on the sprayer, you will get away with it during summer nights, but I'll refrain from recommending it specifically for that. For the full experience of it I would however recommend you down some actual armagnac along with a few cigarettes while your shirt progressively gets buttoned more provocatively downward. Did I mention it garners compliments? Unsolicited ones at that? My one complaint would be that it could've been even stronger, which sounds odd considering I reommended you refrain from overspraying. I moreso think that this could've been heavier by doubling down on the tobacco, but then I feel I might as well wear Jazz Club... but then I'd lose the freshness of the plum and the orange! 8.5 for what it is as a fragrance but 11/10 in terms of value. This is dirt cheap, so go ahead and finish your order so you too can smell like Alex Turner in Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino.

Sweet boozy fragrances! My favorite type of scents! You can guess where this review is going! 902 by Bon Parfumeur is a sweet boozy fragrance. On the label some of the dominant notes are listed: Armagnac, Tabac Blond and Cannelle. The opening is to die for! So addictive! It opens up with a spiced up Coca Cola burst! I have had other fragrances that have a Cola vibe (Roja Enigma, or Alghabra King of Flowers) but those were warm sweet boozy. 902 is al about the spices. The three prominent notes that blend together so perfect are cognac, tobacco and cinnamon. Combined with the cloves and perhaps also the sourness of an orange it adds this cold spicy element. The sweet character stays for quite some time, but eventually fades to the background and the spicy tobacco is there to rule. I would not overspray this since the spices can come over as sharp, especially in the opening. But if used moderate it becomes a sweet seductive fragrance that lingers around you for hours and hours! It bacame one of my favorite boozy fragrances! And I love my booze!

This is addictive! To me it smells definitely masculine, and I normally don't enjoy masculine fragrances on my skin, but with 902 I just kept sniffing my wrist, and wished it had a bit more of a unisex twist so that I could wear it. 902 is an all year rounder, it's fresh, but has some lovely warmth in it. It's developing on the skin, starting off fresh and quite ozonic, and with time the tobacco vanilla combo becomes prominent. The tobacco here smells like a leaf, not smoke, and 902's warmth never becomes heavy or "dirty". Rant: I find that most Bon Parfumeur fragrances, like most fragrances in general, are either more masculine or more feminine. I really wish this trend of calling everything unisex went away at last, because it's just not true, and it only makes shopping for perfume more difficult. Also it makes the definition of a true unisex scent more blurry, and it's a shame. Let's agree that everyone can wear whatever they like, but let's leave the labels, because they carry important information regarding the product.

I recently decided to try a couple of Bon Parfumeur offerings after the YouTube community has been discovering this house with more and more videos available. I was also in Paris for Easter with the idea of going to what I think is their only store, but with two children aged 2 and 8, it was impossible. So I ordered online based on my taste in notes. From this 902 I was expecting something different, more boozy perhaps and in line with things like Bentley for Men Intense. It surprised me a bit, but in a positive way. I smell more tobacco than Armagnac and the sweet touch of cinnamon is spectacular. It makes you want to drink it and it's definitely very addictive. It's not overpowering, it stays discreet and I think at first glance it's the booziest in my collection that's also suitable for work situations (office) It is also worth noting the beauty of a simple and minimalist packaging. The price is absolutely perfect for a niche perfume and I also like the idea of not giving specific names to the fragrances.

After about a month of having this fragrance I'm in love. It's one of the few fragrances that are unisex but in my mind lean more masculine. The opening is hard to describe, however imagine a Cinnamon, White floral, honey smell. The middle is a strong spicy, cinnamon, booze smell. The Dry down is sweeter, spicy, Vanilla, smooth chocolatey, boozey smell. It's a really addictive unique fragrance that will stand out. The projection is a 7/10 Simply spray more (5-7) and you will have more than enough projection. I say it leans more Fall/Winter evening and night I hope this frag stays on the low, I don't want everybody wearing it lol. I love it.

This fragrance house is usually disappointing on my skin on the dry down, but this works surprisingly well. There's a note that is a bit sharp, which can be a bit sickening for a period of time. So just spray it away from your nose. The ginger, basil and plum making it more interesting, turning it into a fresher and slightly sweeter fragrance. Boozy not in an Angel’s Share way. Boozy in a bright way, if it even makes sense. Cinnamon and tobacco whiffs are pleasant, it doesn’t explode onto your face. It’s an either-you-hate-it-or-love-it fragrance. This isn't an exact clone, but there's something about it that reminds me of Grand Soir. This one just feels more natural, juicey, and bright. The sillage is better too. Its not a replacement for Grand Soir but if you like that one you will probably like this one. There is also something in this one that reminds me of APPLE JUICE 🍎. SO IF YOU LIKE APPLE JUICE YOU'LL PROBABLY LOVE THIS

I get more cinnamon on paper than on my skin, but I still like this one a lot. Is it Infrared? No. But thats ok. I appreciate the fresh crisp opening leading to the spice. I bought it for the cinnamon but keeping it for the freshness. After wearing this for a few weeks I can say this is a gorgeous scent!

Nice juice from start to finish. It is sweet, spicy and does have an undertone of tobacco. To me this is cinnamon, cognac, vanilla, orange and tobacco. A nice quality juice. Decent longevity and sillage. Although it is a nice fragrance it is not unique. For the price it is an easy blind buy. Enjoy!

This is almost like an intense version of Frapin’s amazing 1270. Similar notes with the boozy dried fruit vibe... I also detect something v. woody in the notes, like cedar. Well-crafted, well-blended and an extremely great value for the low price.

902 is also starts off with a boozy cognac concoction, spicy a little bitter, I guess it’s from the cloves and cinnamon. Heavier compared to 904. Midway you get a little sweetness and lots of wood. 902 is warm, boozy and bold.

What is with the dislikes? This is a great fragrance! I do get whiffs of amen a tad bit. But damn do not go off of reviews’

This is my favorite fragrance I’ve smelt so far! Perfect amount of spiciness and sweetness, and I love the tobacco smell!

This is the second perfume I have tried from Bon Parfumeur, and overall I think this one is pleasant, but I am not overly impressed. To sum it up, to me, a warm & spicy, boozy Tobacco & plum scent. In the opening, the cognac accord is most prominent, but never became too harsh or "alcoholic" to me. This was paired with a sweet, candied mandarin orange. As it began to dry, the Tobacco accord came to the front, but the previous accords remain detectable. Tobacco is not usually a note or an accord I am terribly fond of but I enjoyed it here, It was a dry, almost dusty Tobacco, and to my relief, was not too smoky or "dirty". The plum and cinnamon are also notable additions into this mid phase of this perfume, making the profile even sweeter, and quite cozy and soft, but nevertheless, I think a fragrance of this type of profile is one to be noticed. A going out, and making a statement perfume, if you will, I find it quite masculine & charming. Unfortunately, This phase is rather short lived, (like 2 hours, tops) and the complete dry down is just a very familiar Vanilla-cinnamon profile. It smells just fine, I can admit that, just underwhelming at this point.

Oh my, this is gorgeous!!!! Boozy, spicy, sweet. It's been ages since I smelled anything like this. Another Bon Parfumeur that takes me back to the late eighties/early nineties (the other one being 901)! Very nostalgic, yet this smells modern. It's in a vintage style, but does not smell outdated at all. Slightly citrusy and zingy in the opening. Cognac note stays throughout, as well as the cinnamon. The tobacco is really nice, not too heavy but definitely present. Thankfully no noticeable cloves, though the note is listed. Longevity is decent, but projection seems rather limited, alas. However at this price point, one can afford to apply a few more generous sprays. Bon Parfumeur has some excellent niche offerings and the prices are very friendly. What a gem this 902! Very, very pleased with my purchase. An instant love! This seems like a cold weather scent, but as it's not particularly heavy, I'm actually wondering how this will hold up on spring and summer nights. Could be a good date night fragrance. Seems like night time appropriate in any case. A beauty, highly recommended. Sample this one, people!

Sampling Bon Parfumeur 902 Armagnac Blonde Tobacco Cinnamon, a fittingly boozy, spicy tobacco scent, very pleasantly sweet also, accessible and not too sharp or heavy, with the Armagnac (a type of French brandy) being the center of the experience, flavored by cinnamon and tobacco, but not too much of either, with supporting notes of clove, geranium, plum, patchouli, labdanum, and vanilla. Really a nicely blended boozy blend with a lot of layers and nuance to it, and with very good performance, among the best of the brand that I’ve tried so far. It shares the brand’s consistent retail pricing of $107/53/34 for 100/30/15ml, sold at boutiques like Ministry of Scent, from which I bought the sample. Overall, I quite like it, though it does not stand out as better than other sweet and spicy tobacco/boozy scents, despite very reasonable pricing in today’s market. 7 out of 10

This review is from a sample. This is definitely Armagnac, and it is sweet. I am not sure, in general, if I can pick out tobacco notes if they aren't strong. I know what dried tobacco smells like, and it might be hiding behind the booze, but I can't clearly pick it out. I detect cloves in this more than the cinnamon. So, in two words, I would call this boozy cloves, and in that order. It lasts on me to the longer side of moderate. After six hours I can still catch a sniff of this. I would not wear this to work as it is too sweet and I would worry about it not being well received. But, as I lounge around or go out and about, I appreciate its scent. I would give this an above average rating, and give it a solid Like. But I think that Jazz Club from Maison Martin Margiela, which I have also sampled, does this better.

On the search for my next cool weather evening scent as this 100ml of Angel for men is running down. This is a surprisingly good match for that profile, but so much less busy (and a little less depth). I was concerned that it would be too boozy, unappealing to me as I don't drink, and it's opening is just that, boozy as all get out with a near perfect match for a quality brandy. That said, the alcohol notes vanish quickly along with the alcohol base and you're left with the sweet complexity. I get most of these notes and feel like the patchouli is the real star, adding depth to what would otherwise be a pretty shallow spicy-sweet gourmand fragrance.

A sophisticated, harmonious scent that’s boozy, fruity, and spicy. I can smell all of the listed notes (but only after I looked it up what notes were in it). The dominant notes—Armagnac, tobacco and cinnamon—feel like one and not three separate. Stays linear, only growing softer during the dry down. The booze, sweet tobacco, vanilla and fruit notes push this scent into a gourmand direction. Even though I think it’s too sweet for my taste, I like 902. Would love to smell this on a man.

As soon I spray this I am overwhelmed with an almost sickeningly sweet/ orange smell, probably would’ve never bought this if I just smelt it in the store because of this. It was a blind buy and I am happy I did because after a couple of minutes the smell develops into a very addictive spicy boozy smell, I get some tobacco but it’s not very strong.

Nice and boozy, perfect for the fall or winter. Reminds me of a higher quality Valor (which is already excellent for a drugstore line). Some find that fragrance banal and generic. I don't. 902 may not be extremely original. Yet it's a solid, well-done entry in this genre, even if it falls a bit short of what I'd expect from a niche brand.

A well executed spiced tobacco scent. Opens with a short lived burst of liqueured fruits. Cinnamon and aged tobacco appear after some minutes, and forms the main presentation of this scent. A straight forward but effective scent for spice and tobacco lovers. Skews more masculine. Great for cold nights.

Wow really nice scent : opening is boozy, spicy, sweet and pipe tobacco. The dry down is spicy tobacco, and sweet oranges in the background. Stunning fragrance.

Very unique and conspicuous. You can feel plum here which is very unusual. Don't put it on your neck, it could be a bit overwhelming.

I'll start this review from the absolute dry down, to the opening, and then the middle. The absolute dry down is the scent that's somehow still on your skin as you head to bed. A very light and pleasant laconic tobacco. Masculine and memorable. But boy oh boy! The opening is bonkers. Clove, cinnamon, tobacco, basil, cognac, geranium. My brain didn't even know how to translate the notes. When I think of this moment, I think of the cartoon where the character gets hit on the head with a mallet and his eyes pop out, his ears grow larger and we see coils and exclamation marks on the screen. I found it so intriguing that I started laughing. After the opening, the middle fragrance is straight up empty cigar box, the cheap kind. Not that the fragrance smelled cheap. It never does. But the cigar smell wasn't particularly deep and rich. Overwhelmingly masculine, to my nose. The longevity from start to finish was all day. However, the projection was very close to the skin (from one dose of the bottle). If you love tobacco, I say go for it. All in all, the fragrance gets a 10 for effort, even though, as a female, I would never wear it.

I was very hyped when I saw the notes. But this is underwhelming .. I expected something bold, strong, something special. This really is not. It smells good, but that's about it. When you see notes like cognac, cinammon, tobacco, you expect to be wowed. This didn't wow me. In a similar style, Chergui is much much better imo. On top of that, performance is underwhelming. This isn't a bad perfume, but this is not good enough imo and it's a wasted potential.

It feels cheap. Plum, cloves, ambroxan. This is enough to judge. I know, it can be pleasant at first, like any gourmand fragrance, but as a perfume, it won't bring you joy. Good for teenagers.

Boozy rich cigar... it could be unisex because it's so sweet (depending on the wearer!), but for me it is slightly too masculine to wear.

I'm testing the Bon Perfumer discovery set of 23 fragrances blind. I haven't looked up anything about the brand or the fragrances. I'm working through the cute little bottles in their numbered order. 902 opens with a dark fruit body, almost like an overripe blend of figs, apples and maybe raisins. After some time, it reminds me of fruitcake, but where the base is reminiscent of amber and resin. A little later, maybe 20 minutes, the dark fruit vibe dissipates and I get more of a drunk chocolate musky vibe. While I like where the fragrance lands, that rotting fruit thing for the first 20 minutes or so I don't like. Looking at the notes now, the whole cognac, tobacco, cinnamon, vanilla is present, but not memory inducing powerful. The combination is more subdued and approachable, which might be great. But, if you're looking for big personality, I'd look elsewhere. This is more business leaning, not going out or making a statement. It lasted a little longer than its 901 sibling with a dark amber echo. I'd be curious in any recommendations similar to this but without the fruit, more cognac musky chocolate. (12/12/22 Edit) Testing this again a few months later, with no memory what I wrote last time. This time I got some black licorice in the opening, swallowed up by a more pungent musky and rubbery animalic scent that was not as pleasant, then morphs into a more rotting fruit background. All this is within the first 20-30 minutes. Later in the day it has dwindled down to an aromatic skin scent of its former self. I'm less interested this time around, going from neutral to ehh, no!

I tried it at the store, thinking I would love it - instead, there's a note I could not detect, that made me feel sick. There's something wrong with the blend, I'm so disappointed.

The first two times I tried it I didn't like it at all. The third, it conquered me. At the top it is extremely alcoholic and somewhat citric. When dried, it smells mainly of tobacco leaves with a somewhat herbal hint sweetened by vanilla and accompanied by some prominent spicy notes, with cinnamon leading the way. It has a high sillage (be careful not to overspray!) and it lasts for 9-10 hours on my skin. Although it is unisex, I think it clearly tends towards the masculine side. It reminds me of how the tobacco note is worked to Red Tobacco de Mancera but without the nice raspberry counterpoint that this one has. Although it is not one of my favorite fragrances with a tobacco note and my intention was to use it in layering with other fragrances, especially one with raspberry notes to give the tobacco that fruity sweetness that Red Tobacco has, finally it has something addictive that has made me end up using my 8ml Pafory decant entirely on its own. And, despite the fact that this has given many uses considering its power, I admit that at times I have even considered including it in my collection. But without a doubt there are other tobacco perfumes that I enjoy more so for now I will not. The opening on this one repulses me, something about that cognac/orange/basil/ginger combo reminds me of hangovers. I don’t drink anymore, but I still like a good booze scent on occasion... this, though... this ain’t it. Something about basil renders the whole thing too sweet and the orange is more of an orange juice than an orange rind—more like bad mixers at the end of the night at a college party than the sleek old fashioned they were probably going for. I put it in my disown/resell pile, but after about two hours I kept catching whiffs of myself... now I smell the tobacco and it’s a bit *thin* for lack of a better word, but it’s nice. The sweetness is still on the edge of making me nauseous, but the tobacco/patch combination is unexpectedly pleasant. I don’t really get cinnamon or cloves, but there’s something with a bit of a kick here too. I’m gonna go ahead and assume it’s the geranium. Pretty sure projection is quite good. Longevity is also going strong 4 hours into wearing it. I’m probably still gonna sell this, but I do not hate it as I originally thought. Worth a shot for tobacco lovers—maybe your body chemistry will be more forgiving and you’ll have a better experience with the top notes.

The comparisons of this to Frapins 1670 made me want to try this. But oh, it's not even close with my chemistry. It’s super sweet SWEET caramel and fruity, like DK Stories done with caramel instead of cotton candy. It’s pretty, but somehow the unisex notes get lost in the fruity floral sugar bomb. I can smell most of the notes clearly, but the overwhelming effect is caramelized sugar with some flowers. It's rather annoying on my skin and the sweetness cloys and in the end made me scrub it. My skin amps sweet, but this was stellar.

A cinnamon bun, washed down with a shot of cheap (non vsop) brandy followed by a Golden Virginia roll up cigarette. This is less refined gent in the men's club and more cheap date on a park bench. That said, it's not horrible or offensive but just nothing special

Warm, comforting and a little bit edgy. Really good if u like brown leather jackets and cigarettes. Wish I could wear this all year round but it's too heavy on the spices

A higher quality low sugar pure havane, or a less buttery/floral Naxos. Better than both and cheaper than both. Very nice scent, but need to like booze.

Excellent. Niche quality. Long lasting. Performs 1-2 hours. I can still smell it when i woke up after night out.
