Bond No. 9 Perfume

Elegant, Simple, Signature I have two 100 ml bottles of this juice and they are both Parfum versions. Lately, as my dealer statement, they are producing this one as EDP, but i'd recommend you to check sticker at the bottom of the bottle and search for "Parfum" lattering. Although my old bottle is mat yellow and new bottle is shiny yellow, there is no difference between two bottles in terms of smell and performance. In the opening, you encounter mostly with a musky-lemony vibe. It is not listed in the notes but, trust me lemon is there and gives very fresh, refreshing opening to this juice. After an hour, rose starts to show itself, without being too powdrey, dark or femine. Tonka starts to escort this rose and put fragrance in a semi sweet spot. I am not sure where is the oud because it is too shy. It should be well blanded with the other notes. A clean, elegant rose, lemon, tonka and musk cooperation starts and runs till the end of the fragrance. Juice in general simple, clean, charming and totally unisex. Bond Signature scent gives the feel that, you are using an expensive fragrance. Everybody around you will be pleased its clean, fresh, sweet vibe. It could be used all seasons, all occasions and it is very easy to wear. Personally, i am using this in office or evening dinners with my friends in a nice cafe. Performance is great. 3 sprays for the indoors and 4-5 sprays for outdoors will be sufficient. It’s not a cheap fragrance, i don’t recommend to blind buy this one. If you are in a pursuit of an easy to wear, clean, comfoting niche fragrance which lasts and lasts, give it a chance. After a while it will be your signature as the name says.. Total: 7,5 / 10

This perfume is also known as Bond No 9 Signature Perfume. That is what the sales associates at Bond's flagship call it. Ironically, this should be no one's signature scent. Not that it isn't good. It's because to my nose, this should be reserved for the dressiest of occasions. It's an opulent, elegant smelling affair. When I was a child, well dressed ladies would visit my house and invariably remove makeup cases from their handbag, and cross their legs as they reapplied makeup. This perfume is reminiscent of what some of their makeup cases smelled like. I loved it then, and I love this fragrance now. Everyone complaining about the lack of oud has every right to complain, because it is well hidden. Not non existant. If you smell for it you will find it. But certainly not an oud forward perfume. I believe all four notes to be well blended to the pinnacle of simplicity. The final product far exceeds the sum of its parts. As a man I have no trouble pulling this off if I am wearing my best suit or something with a cummerbund. It leans slightly feminine, but still quite unisex. I have owned this fragrance for six years, and I only recently finished my travel size bottle (less than half an ounce) which was a gift I received for buying a full bottle of another Bond. This indicates that I followed my own advice of using it for fancy occasions exclusively, and also that a scant two sprays were required, nothing more. Projection, sillage, and longevity are all outstanding. Now I have my 100 ml bottle, and it is just gorgeous. I always missed having it as I waited for my travel size to be used up. I feel my Bond collection is looking more complete these days.

I don't know what "real oud" smells like and I am not sure I totally care. What I do know is what this smells like - a GORGEOUS FRAGRANCE. I am not a nose of all things oud: real oud, quality oud or anything relating. This review is not based on whether or not the oud in Bond No 9 is some divine mana from heaven - it is based on my take on this fragrance, irregardless of price, and oud quality. Bond No 9 is just the right balance of masculinity and femininity. The opening is gorgeous, the dry down is sultry, slightly exotic and enticing. I sampled this at home a few months ago, and kept thinking about how nice it was and finally decided to buy a full bottle. It opens slightly bergamot citrus like (yes I know its not in there). Sweet beautiful rose blunted from being in your face with a gorgeous woody note, and musk. As it dries it warms and becomes more musky and slightly spicy woody note. The rose never fully leaves. This scent lasts and lasts. I wore it all day yesterday, and got stopped several times, inquiring what smells so good. The best was at 10 pm, when I was walking dogs. As I walked down the sidewalk, I approached a few people and some power company workers fixing some down lines. They all wanted to know (asking if the beautiful scent was coming from me? as there was a breeze that blew by me in their direction, apparently it had them perplexed as the the source.) The lady wanted to know what it was and had me write it down. She said it was wonderful. It is a nice fragrance, and very modern. I really love it.

This fragrance Frankly seductive and erotic! I am not fan of the Oud but when I spray it on my body I just tell my self oh my god! It Capture my Soul And takes my Breath Away! Trully Amazing Fragrance. An Excellent perfume from house of bond no.9. خوش بختانه افتخار تست این عطر رویایی رو داشتم واقعا اسم عطر برازنده ی اونه. یک شاهکار به یاد ماندنی از خونه ی bond no 9. من به شخصه طرفدار عود و رز نیستم اما این دو اسانس به طرز استادانهای تو این عطر به کار برده شده. بین تمامی اسانس ها یک توازن خارق العاده برپاست. تلفیق هنر شرق و غرب. ایجاست که عطر سازی معنای هنر به خودش میگیره. این عطر واقعا متحیرم کرد. فقط بودجه زیادی میطلبه اما صد در صد ارزش خرید رو داره.

2nd review. This fragrance smells amazing. Top 3 fragrances easily for me. The opening blows me away every time. it is definitely very uplifting and brings me a lot of joy. This is not a EDP. Its 30 plus percent concentration puts it in the pure perfume category. It just last and last. The quality makes this feel like it is never offensive. Great for all occasion and all seasons. Just easy on the trigger on those summer days. A lot of people are commenting there is no oud in here. I understand why they might feel that way. Typically you here oud and look for the more commonly recognizable, and in my opinion overly used, presentation of oud in a more eastern style of perfumery. This trend is becoming exceptionally popular and quickly abused. Typically dry, woody, and musty. In this oud, as there are multiple variations of oud, is more aromatic, woody, and slightly sweet. And the way it blends with the florals is down right phenomenal. It's Bond No 9's blending of both western and eastern styles, but for a primarily western audience. They've accomplished this very successfully IMHO and since I've seen no fragrance accomplish the same in this manner I would say that makes this a very original fragrance in it's on right. Plus it just smell damn good and like nothing I've ever smelled before. I really hope more people get to try this.

I have a Bon Bon of this as part of the purchase. I would love a bottle of this but it's the most expensive. So no way I would spend money on a full bottle. (maybe 50ml bottle) I try it on my skin for the first time today. Due to its high concentration, I only need two little dabs and it lasts throughout the day. I am not sure if other people can smell it but I can, and it smells great. It's just perfect for a special occasion like this holiday! The scent is actually almost like a oriental/gourmand because it's smooth, creamy, and sweet. It makes me think of a a really nice $$$ cake. Oud here is not woody, but it gives the scent the richness, depth, and warmth. Tonka bean is just typical sweet note. I don't get any musk really. Mostly just rose and Oud. It's a very nice combination, which means it's not very masculine, so I wouldn't wear this on a regular basis. It's one of the nicest from Bond No.9

Fragrance -Signature Scent by Bond No 9 Bottle from - 2015 Signature is a nice,fresh,woody,musky and aromatic scent. Reminds me a little bit of Shelter Island by Bond No 9 and Scandal by Roja Dove.I'm not sure about the name"Signature Scent",but nevertheless it is a beautiful and well-blended scent. Longevity - 10/10(10+hours) Silage/projection -8/10(nice projection for the first 3-4 hours,silage also exist) Weather - all time(Versatility-9/10) Age - 22+ Compliments - 9/10 Scent - 8/10 Main notes according to me -rose,tonka bean,musk,oud. The drydown is nice and i get some -sweetness,woodiness and musk. Emotions -fresh,sensual,seductive,sexy. Occasion -casual activities,office,dates,college and night out. Could be a nice signature scent.Perfect for more less any ocasion and any time of year.You'll get compliments with this one.

This is another sample I requested from one of my recent orders with them. Finally, an scent with oud that I can actually wear! Oud and my skin don't get along that well, so I was a little apprehensive to even request this one as a sample. I'm really digging the note combo in this one though. The rose and musk do give a slightly clean vibe but the oud and tonka come in and keeps it from being too clean. They help to "dirty" it up a little, keeping it sexy and smooth. I would actually like to smell this on a man; I think it would be lovely, but women can easily pull this one off as well. Sillage and longevity are great on my skin. If you're not much of an oud fan or it doesn't agree with your skin, try this one on for size.

Dilish... love it! Got a sample at Saks this morning and as soon as I opened the bon bon wrap the smell immediately took me over. I dabbed it on my skin and I really like how it smells on me. Floral, sharp, sweet but fresh. It reminds me of another perfume, a masculine one, but I cant remember which one. Either way, along with NY for mothers and High Line, this is another wonderful Bond no 9. Will test for a couple more days and decide whether I am willing to buy it. PS: After wearing a little dab of it on my wrists and neck ALL DAY, I have to say that this has great longevity. It's been about 8 hours and I can still get whiffs of it every time I move around. HEAVENLY!!!!

Husband bought this for me when I was pregnant with our first child. The irony is that I couldn’t stand it when I was pregnant and barely wore it. Now that I’m not pregnant I love it and it reminds me of my pregnancy and carrying my child. I think if you grew up in the 90s you will love this scent. I say this because it carries a blend of sweet floral, woodsy and aquatic notes that spark memories of the 90s-it’s like someone took Aquanet Hairspray, Malibu musk, loves baby soft, Cool Waters and combined them into a smooth and refined scent that has a woodsy warm base (oud) that’s very chic and sexy. It’s very warm and pretty- and smells like hot girls and guys of the 90s.

I just sampled this at Sals and have been wearing it for about an hour now. I'm just starting this fragrance journey so my vocabulary probably isn't what it should be. On me this is super aggressive strong and sexy. There is a pungent sort of metallic - in a good way aroma right off the bat and it's slowly revealing a subtle Rosiness. I think of oud as having a sweet vanilla - ish quality. And I usually find musk a little sweet. This doesn't smell like either of those. This reminds me a bit of Juliet got a Gun Another Oud or Mad Madam. It's more masculine than both tho. My husband can't stop smelling me :) so on me anyway it's delicious

Whoever says it smells like Davidoff and is fresh and they don’t n get the oud does not have the real perfume. I dont know what perfume is in there but is not Bond number 9. I bought it from a perfume site also and is the same thing smells like Davidoff and is fresh. My sister got it from their store and it smell totally different snd the oud is there and all the other notes listed here.l finally found out the mystery with this perfume . I went to Bond 9 store and showed them the bottle my sister has and it looks like she has Tribeca and it was in the gold bottle for special edition. So crazy.

OK. This is a very Western oud fragrance. Bond No.9 has managed to use oud to its advantage and stay true to its own style of perfumery. For this, Bond No. 9 is a success. This was never meant to be an Eastern fragrance. To expect such would be foolish if one is familiar with Bond No.9 For what is listed for the note composition, this is great! Longevity is on par with what you'd expect from an EDP, the sillage is marvelous on me and it does grab attention. This is very enjoyable for whoever knows what to expect from it.... This showcases an extremely clean-cut rose/oud accord.

Is there a difference between special edition and the signature one. My sister got one from their store and does not smell anything like what I got. I got traveling size from frangance net mine does smell a little like Davidoff but what she got is totally different. I am confused does anybody know. The one that my sister had from their website does not smell at all like cool water. Totally opposite. I finally figure out the mystery with this perfume. I went to Bond 9 store. My sister has Tribeca it was for special edition on the gold bottle.

Been wanting this scent since 2012, but the price point is almost unbearable. But this year I pulled out the stops and pulled the trigger. By far the best Musk dominant perfume ever. The musk is "limey," "salty," "green," but never ever harsh or sharp - and I mean never. You can inhale the musk from upclose, or sniff it from afar, and it will never smell like a cheap overwhelming musk. This is one of those perfumes you buy for the mastery in balance of chemistry, not for it's uniqueness.

This is such a lovely perfume. Well blended that i only notice the oud mildly in the background, not too upfront. The rose is smooth as latte ... So this i can say, very much wearable anytime any season. And also very balanced for unisex. Long lasting and the sillage is good. This is a perfume that suits a businessman, rich man, fashionista, ceo and ministers. With strong characters... Beautiful bottle too. This is a must have in my collection!

New York City's niche house has created what I feel is an homage to the city's Rockefeller Rose Garden and the Hudson River. Bond No. 9 Perfume is earthy, aquatic, and incredibly sweet. There's supposed to be tonka beans somewhere there, but it's the aqueous rose that envelopes the musky accord. The dry-down is vibrant and goes on forever--pretty much like what the beautiful noise of NYC does.

Magnificent fragrance and for those who dislike it, get your noses checked out cause the smell of heaven won’t reach you till you do so! 10/10 for me. I understand it’s expensive but well ahead of other perfumes that try to create a fragrance with rose, oud, and musk. An extreme compliment getter and chick magnet. It lasts forever on my skin.

I received my sample a few days ago and I was blown away. The fragrance is sensual, woody, and dries down to a nice soft noticeable musk. It is expensive, however, I think I am going to invest in a bottle. When I wear this perfume I can't stop smelling my wrists! It puts me a very nice mood which is an added plus!

I do not like oud. Never could join the trend. When I see it in a note list or title I avoid the fragrance all together, but the Bond No 9 lady tricked me into to trying this at Nordstrom. THIS SMELLS AMAZING! I love it and I feel great in it. Leaves a nice scent cloud for the major duration of the day.

Quality cologne for the Niche Crowd!!! This is truly beautiful and a remarkable perfume!!! Expertly blended with clean sophisticated notes! Unisex perfume that is truly a crowd pleaser! My wife enjoys this one as well. 9/10!

Oh I love this. I have to figure out a way to afford a whole bottle. I have a tiny sample that will not last through the week.

Polarizing scent! Every other review is love or hate. I bought a bottle of this after extensive testing and feedback.This opens weird, but if you wait until full drydown, this is a sexy, long lasting, compliment monster Musk 🦌 I get maybe 10% rose if I really focus, and no oud. This smells 100% different than the notes on Fragrantica. To my nose this is mostly a slight tangy musk and a clean ambergris. A prior reviewer says it smells like a beauty school. To expand on that, it smells a little like that acidic vinegar smell in women's hair color. Keep in mind this is only in the first few minutes. The whole experience can be sumed up as a clean soap-ish ambergris and musk. Don't judge this on the opening, the drydown is better. Projection is very big and longevity is 10 to 12 hours. I have 100 fragrances and probably 150 to 200 decants. My wife has smelled them all on me. She rates this fragrance as the sexiest thing I own. I've literally been stopped and asked about this by strangers. There's just something about this people love on my skin. I personally just think it smells good but not mind blowing. This is the real life sex panther 🐆 P.S vintage is way better smell and performance. I had both. This has been reformulated. Look for low batch codes, matte gold.

Musk > Rose > Tonka >> Oud This scent is primarily composed of musk and rose with tonka bean to round out the scent and give it a slight sweetness as it dries down. If I try hard to dissect the scent, I get a hint of oud but in all practicality it is non-existent. Shame on those who upvoted oud above musk and rose! I did hear that oud is used to enhance other scents (increase longevity and such) so maybe that was the goal, not to give it oud-centric scent. As others mentioned, this is a clean and soapy scent. The citrus/aquatic like clean vibe people mentioned is given by the musk. I consider it a metrosexual scent (what people call "feminine" unisex scent geared towards men). It's well blended, pleasant, versatile and can be worn in all situation - can be someone's signature scent. It has moderate longevity and sillage which is good enough for me (I like to wear scent for personal pleasure, not to irritate other's sinuses). Of course, this means it is not particularly original: There are plenty of designer scents that can be substituted for this at much cheaper prices. This is a pass for me.

I was gifted a free sample of this by somebody who ADORES it and I can absolutely see why – it's got this almost preternatural freshness that grabs you by the waist and then slowly melts into you with vanilla-y florals as it teases its tongue around your mouth to the tune of amber musk. It's a romantic one for sure, it's the sort of lover who shells out for everything – the four star hotel, the high-end restaurant, the expensive and well reviewed wine – and asks how you're feeling while they make sure everything is perfect. It done so in a way that feels kinda impossible to maintain in the everyday, but it is undeniably exciting, fun and special in the moment. That 'perfect'ness bugs me a little, I'll be honest. It lacks real warmth somehow, like when everything is perfect it can get a little boring. But its heart is in the right place, it's just a little ritzy and a bit of a perfectionist and thats okay. If it didn't cost so darn much I'd probably even buy it for those special date nights.

I really like this one..thanks God I can't detect any oud here.for me,it's all about a strong,also very pleasant rose,blended with soft,sweet musk,a clean musk and some Tonka...wait,maybe there is some oud here,providing this rich warmness but it's far from typical oud which I often dislike It's not a classic rose reminding rose water,also not a girly fruity rose,it's sensual in a simple,relax way..it reminds me someone amazing and beautiful,also very friendly,humble and confident Bond no 9 perfume is more on the feminine side IMO,it's wearable year round but I would love it in fall and spring..it's really strong, really long-lasting with great sillage so be careful not to overdo it I would consider buying it although it wasn't this much interesting for me.I really really like it but it's just a sweet perfumy rose,musk,vanilla.. Nothing unique but it's likable,wearable and projection is good and these are very important factors for me ❤❤❤❤

I do like this perfume, I guess, but I don't love it- not even close. And tbh, I don't really get oud. I get a powdery, musky, almost soapy/paper-y rose with some hints of a nondescript "man" note (almost slightly spicy or maybe some "woodsy" note they are calling oud?). I don't know. It's confusing. Where is the oud? Maybe I'm confused because I've smelled REAL oud? This isn't oud. This is rosy washing powder with some woodiness. It's feminine yet manly. Hard to describe. Smells much different on my husband than on me. I guess this is the "Western" style oud? Not sure I get the point if it doesn't even smell like oud. If I'm gonna wear oud, I'm gonna WEAR oud, you know? Like Doc Elly, I think the note they are calling "oud" is a slightly woodsy note that really doesn't smell like oud, and in addition, this perfume is highly synthetic (not in a good way).

Deep vintage matte gold painted bottle, batch #808. Smells like it's time period of 2009. The opening and heart behave like a tart greyish metalic lime and has an additional feeling of synthetic ambergris. No vanilla, oud. Tonka is not gourmand or smooth, it's coumarin iso, so it's airy and clean. The sum is musky, salty, floral (rose), and soapy in the drydown. Performance is 5 times the modern formula; 30% pure parfum, so 2 sprays, 3 max. Very beastly and can cause headaches if over sprayed. Modern formula is not worth it IMO. Strong, unusual, and controversial fragrance that has a strange sex appeal. IYKYK. P.S. Tons of counterfeits on eBay and Mercari.

I like this one. To me it is intimate, cosy and uncomplicated. I definitely pic out musky rose, but in a gentle and very well balanced kind of way. (I'm no rose fan, so the fact this one works for me is saying something!) It'll never be a big bottle buy for me .. Bond pricing means it has to be a serious LOVE for me to do that, but I have several.. however I happily recommend this to test, because it really is rather lovely and is almost certainly a Love for some rose fans out there!

Bright. Clean. Floral with a light touch of musk. I get zero tonka beans. But it's ok, I still like this very very much. Leans feminine. Does smell like davidoff cool water's more sophisticated, stuck up sister. Safe for all year round. 😊 Great casual scent. Update: The musk is reminiscent of Juliette Has a Gun Musc Invisible, which is one of my favorites.

As nattonline already said, it does smells a little like cake. More like marzipan actually. It's sweet, floral and a bit powdery and soapy. To me, this is a very feminine smell. I can't see a man pulling this off. I would find it very pleasant on a girl though. It's different from other perfumes I'm used to smell. A good one! Overall: 3.5/5

It is a fresh scent but somehow like a hairspray type of a scent. People around me seem to enjoy it and my partner did compliment me although I wasn't the biggest fan. Versatile and works always but it is overpriced for what it is. Edit: People really seem to enjoy it and compliment it. I might get a bottle one day.

I love the top, but the base is a sickeningly sweet burnt caramel popcorn and dirty socks smell. This smells nothing like New York Oud, as one reviewer proposed. NYO is much spicer, rosier, and not nearly as sugary. I love NYO, but don't love this one. I wish I did. And I wish it didn't give me such a headache.

I have a bon bon of this that I have tested 4 times. It is pleasant, a little sweet but ho hum. Nothing special- especially with that Bond price tag. The bottle is gorgeous, as are many of the line's bottles but I can't afford a beautiful bottle collection. The juice has to be outstanding, at those prices!

Have musk smell. Nice rose. I believe that musk turns the rose greener and a little bit more masculine. Oud here it soft with slight animalic nuances. Tonka bens i cant smell or fell separtily but definily there is sometihong kind of sweet on the base. I liked

I don't give the best fragrance reviews but all I can say is that this smells like money and I love it it's heavy but fresh it just makes me feel like a million dollars!

The best use of rose I’ve smelled up to date. Not particularly keen on rose in fragrances but this is just bad as hell. Love it. Signature worthy.

I get pear in the top and then dries to musk plus bond's interpretation of Oud as is found in NY Oud and NY Amber.

So I purchased this after smelling in store at Nordstrom. The Bond vendor was present in store that day and was definitely selling this as their Signature scent. On paper, I really enjoyed the scent. I remember thinking it was such a Boss B***h fragrance and would be such a head turner. It’s definitely unisex but leans masculine in my opinion. In store, I smelled spice, bright citrus, musky-ness.. I really liked it! I purchased a full bottle and I was so completely disappointed. Upon first spray out of the bottle, I get 100% Windex. Such a let down. And it’s soooo strong. So points for projection and strength but definitely not the scent I remember in store. I’ve worn multiple times to see if my opinion would change, but sadly it has not. The dry down is softer and less intense but still completely cleaner-esque and just not a good mix with my chemistry. Will be re-gifting or selling on Mercari.

This smells like a beauty school. Very synthetic, exaggerated sweetness and reminiscent of beauty products. It's beautiful but it doesn't smell very refined or complex. The scent is quite linear. If you enjoy very feminine, Dollie fragrances with an artificial scent profile e.g. Mukhallat by Montale, then I'm sure this is up your alley. The rose is the most distinguishable note, it reminds of the rose that was used in a lot of 80s beauty products, sharp, sweet powdery. The dry down is far too sharp and synthetic for me, it doesn't correspond with the price tag.

I like it, I hate it, it's ok. No oud, more of a extremely musky dried potpourri rose + soapy. It's got this old ya-know-what-I'm-talking-about vibe, actually it reminds me of an mature females purse/handbag. Like the smell that would waft out of that. But I like it. It's kind of nostalgic in that way. But it also has a Soviet Union cleaning supplies vibe going on as well. I wouldn't wear it. But I can see why some might. 5/10

No no no. I expected so much more. Certainly a disappointment. Masculine, synthetic and dated. I thought something exciting and unexpected is awaiting in this hyped offering, but no. I am not saying it's a horrible smell, it is not, but I am just not a fan of this olfactory experience. Maybe it was unique at the time it came out and it became so mainstream by now that it lost its appeal.

i can't say that it is soapy because it is like soap itself. it exactly smells like my -not even hand soap- like my bath soap and i can't say it smells in a luxurious way. i try to like it because i 've already bought it. it is not so bad of course but it is not what i expected. maybe it changes person to person but i think if you will buy this you should like soapy fragrances.

A very light hand is needed when we ladies use this. Otherwise it becomes a strong smelling men's cologne. I expected to really love the Bond No. 9 signature scent. However, it's now an 'ok' for me. I purchased the grand bon-bon box, so I'm working my way through each of the scents. I've already sampled Chinatown, and I absolutely love it.

I like the floral and oud combo from this one. At first sniff I get fresh, floral muskiness with a hint of sweetness then undertones of something warm which I presume is the woody/oud part of this fragrance. Nice aroma but it seemed to disappear to my nose pretty quickly and maybe a bit overpriced. Unisex scent for spring and summer.

Very soapy and musky. It's certainly unique, but I don't enjoy it on me. I wanted to like it so much! Glad I got a tester and didn't splurge on the full size; I think all the Bond fragrances are ridiculously overpriced. I'm glad this works for some people but sadly, not for me.

The musk and rose make this very screechy and perfumey. It’s okay. I couldn’t tolerate this all the time because it’s too screechy. Moderate longevity and sillage.

Sampled this one on a whim. Honestly, it strongly resembles their own New York Oud, watered down with a touch of Shelter Island. In fact for the first 10 minutes or so, this is almost indistinguishable from NY Oud for me. I'm gona save my remaining bonbons for the rainy season. I found that NY Oud was best to wear on rainy days regardless of temperature, so I'm going to hold this one to that same standard. Anyone who says they're not getting any oud. ....try more Bonds that contain oud, because I'm finding that whatever Bond uses for their "oud", almost smells like "OFF!" bug spray, at least to me. And oddly, somehow it's not displeasing! And therefore, since I'm smelling that here, I'm getting the "oud". This is another one I really can't rate because I don't want to be unjust or do it a disservice, but in my personal opinion this fragrance isn't anything special and is actually kind of redundant in the Bond No. 9 lineup.
