Chez Bond Chez Bond! I am about to sing My, My, My by Johnny Gill to this bottle because it’s so damn fine. Chez opens with GREEN!!! If you are still learning and you want to understand what a green fragrance is, the opening on Chez is a prime example. After the first 10 seconds the green fades just a bit and you're met with a grassy/tea vibe, which is just as invigorating as the initial burst. The fragrance sits like this on my skin for about 30 minutes to an hour and then the Sandalwood makes a noticeable appearance, alongside the woody note of Cedar. Shay is a very refreshing, woody fragrance with a touch of citrus that I just cannot ignore. Though woody and green, there is also something aquatic about it. I would wear Chez Bond all Spring and Spring alone. Do not be deceived, though I am limiting it to one season, this fragrance is VERY versatile. “Aloysius, if it’s limited to one season, how is it versatile?” Step into this classroom, I got you. Though this is a Spring fragrance, you can do anything with it. Dinner date, check. Walk on the beach, check. Movie theater date, check. Presentation at your job, promotion, getting fired, about to fire somebody, ALL CHECK!. Lol I am getting carried away, but you get it. This is definitely a sleeper hit. I started to gatekeep this fragrance, you’re lucky I like you. lol I say at the very least, if you’re into green fragrances, get a sample and let me know what you think. In my writeups, I prefer not to talk about cost. Most fragrances are too expensive at retail, but between the gray market and second hand “buy and release” options, price is totally subjective. Gently spicy bergamot, bitter orange and lime open with what seems like lavender - grassy & green green green. For me, it is, shall I say, bewitching? This is a dry, citric greenness. The only sweetness is the bright fruit. There's even a little umami or cardboard? petrichor? wet stone? on my skin - pleasant and adds to the complexity. I might be reading a metallic violet leaf note this way - that would make sense. My first love in this green/aromatic fougère style is the classic Paco Rabanne pour Homme, which is sweeter and stronger. But Chez Bond insinuates and is more intimate while reading as drier and more relentlessly green. This is the green of dew on the grass and first spring flowers in the morning as the sun opens the fields; of cool, moist, narrow paths lined by shrubs and young trees with new leaves nearly filled out. As the fragrance dries down, it gets sweeter, though never cloying. First, the tea note comes up from behind the citrus and green, then woods start to emerge, but I cannot perceive which woods they are. The cedar note is not powerful, but soft, and could just as readily be other woods just to my nose. That said, the more I sniff, the more cedar seems obvious up front. The longevity and sillage of Chez Bond are on the light side of moderate; nevertheless, it persisted (=see what I did there=) for me for about half a work day, and that was plenty. Big thumbs up on this beautiful stuff - one of the most elegant freshies, ever.

Chez Bond by Bond No 9 is a great and individual fragrance that has notes of fruits, tea, grass, sandalwood, green notes, violet leaf, vetiver and cedar. To me the aroma feels so vibrant and fresh that I was pleasantly surprised and happy to have this in my collection. A burst of citruses come through first then the tea softens the aroma a little which is lovely for the freshness of the green notes that awaken Chez Bond from its little slumber to happily coexist with sandalwood and vetiver. Longevity was long lasting with 8-12 hours consistently which I loved as I just adored this fragrance over any other Bond I had and have in collection, even preferred Chez Bond over Bleecker St. Yet in another twist I used to layer Chez Bond & Bleecker St together and the aroma of both of them was phenomenally good, but I digress. Projection of Chez Bond is long lasting up to 8 hours which is really good and quite a surprise initially when I started wearing this fragrance when the weather was warmer. Overall, I really liked Chez Bond and would like to have it back in my collection soon as it’s light, fresh and airy and for me slightly more wearable than Bleecker St. An absolute repurchase in my book.

One of the most beautiful compositions I've EVER smelled! It opens up very with very green and citrusy sharp notes - I guess it's a mix of violet leaf, grass and citruses. Soon it gets much smoother(but still green) when tea comes in. It's very calming, but still refreshing, a little more balmy than in the beggining. The base is woody, but tea and green notes still are there in the background. Cedar is much more prominent than vetiver. Longevity is excellent - it stays on me easilly for 8-9 hours, but the sillage is below average and it's mainly a skin scent - projects good for about 30-45 minutes. Does it remind me of anything? Well - yes. I feel like it has some DNA of Platinum Egoiste - it has its greennes but without that metallic touch. The mix of tea, citruses and violet leaf smell a bit like opening of Gucci Pour Homme II (but it's much different than Gucci - it's not so spicy, much smoother and balmier). Is it worth its price? To me - definitely. You are paying for the quality of this fragrance here. And you can feel the quality of each ingredient. It's the most versatile fragrance that I know - I guess. And I have to have it.

This indeed is a GIT inspired /clone frag. At least I can say easily copied since it came later and the differences are minimalistic, but the differences can make you choose on or the other because of the opening! Opening on GIT: Strong bold citrusy and green vibes and bit salty from the ambergris.. which lacks in chez bond. Opening chez bond: more woody and green opening then GIT, it’s like a dry sandalwood opening with that green verbena kind of vibe.. Drydown: can’t tell them apart.. haha. The performance however is similar, unless you can find a GIT 2014 <- you might find stronger scents. Although I like this, I like the opening of GIT more. This is bit more airy and softer if that makes sense, while GIT is more thick (opening only new batches). So it’s up to you, as my older GIT are empty I won’t buy a new batch and use chez bond, let’s see if I will love this as much. Quality is good.. and people who compare these to CW. This one is bit more close.. GIT has that creed signature which really makes it different enough from CW

Essentially, a more subtle, less powdery, crisper version of Green Irish Tweed. I find Chez Bond to be more versatile, as it has a slightly more mass-appealing vibe while maintaining the refined green notes. However, objectively speaking, I find Green Irish Tweed to be better crafted and higher quality. I honestly don’t believe it’s necessary to own both, but your choice depends on what vibe you’re looking for. If you’re going for refined, classic, elegant green, Green Irish Tweed would suit you best. If you’re looking for something slightly more casual, or at least in a way that you can use it on any occasion, or perhaps a more youthful green vibe, Chez Bond is the way to go. Don’t misunderstand the tone of this comment—I think Chez Bond is divine. I just don’t see a reason to own both it and Green Irish Tweed. For me, the latter is more my vibe, and that’s just the way it is. (But I’m still keeping Chez Bond because I’m beyond obsessed.) SCORE: 95%

very nice aromatic fougere...i really do love the balmy notes of a lot of bond #9 fragrances, i own git and i really do not get that comparison..green irish tweed is much greener as a scent..sweeter to me..i love the sandalwood afterglow of this one, great smell..and in my office a lot of compliments which is what i notice , what are others perceptions?, it is all positive so far but everyones..taste always come in to play..there are so many now a days to try..different strokes for different folks..i think what people might really react to is price...would they buy this if they could? bond # 9 fragrances are not bargain basement type designer fragrances..you have to be a serious fragrance enthusiast to venture into this level, but i don't think you can question their quality or commitment to fragrance, just whether your taste happens to be with the perfumer's tastes..and that makes it such an interesting a hobby. another winner for me.

This gets compared to Green Irish Tweed a lot and I can see why. To me Chez Bond is a less bright and sweeter take. The opening may even be better than G.I.T. They are very similar in the opening but Chez Bend is less sharp and a much creamier/smoother. As Chez Bond dries down it sweetens up a bit and although it's still similar it is less bold and fresh than G.I.T. Longevity is good but not beast mode. I get about 6 to 8 hours on my skin (I tend to get around 8 to 10hrs out of Green Irish Tweed). Projection isn't as good on me as G.I.T either but it's still not bad. Silage is also more tame as well. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. All in all if you love Green Irish Tweed I think you will love this too. Green Irish Tweed is my all time favorite fragrance and for me this is a great alternative. I will be getting more of this.

I once posted on social media (when I had an account) a cliche that I heard on a TV show. Let me apply that phrase to this review. "Ain't nobody can talk bad about" Bond No. 9 but me. And that is not happening because they are just that good. Me being the writer that always gravitates to the usage of unnecessary extra words so let me properly paint a picture using text for this review. Are you kidding me. Talk about hidden gems. Chez bond is magnificent at this point in time for me. I thought I would never find a "smells like soap" fresh fragrance that didn't have my sneezing and nose acting up. This is some excellent juice. It has a little depth, freah/clean, great performance, not too "muture person" smeeling, a drop of sweetness, cardamon and a tea note (I love me some tea). All wrapped in Bond No. 9 top notch quality.

The beginning is crisp, youthful, sophisticated, stylish, and musky. Green, citrus, grass, violet leaf, vetiver, and sandalwood scents are the most noticeable opening notes. Citrus is a transient starting note that emerges with a slightly sweet and sour sound before fading rapidly into the background and making way for additional notes. The green notes, which are mostly a mixture of grass, vetiver, and tea, are the most noticeable. There is a distinct musky accord, which is probably a note present in the green notes. This musky accord is highly projecting and has a light dirty animalic, sophisticated, and mature touch. The scent has a relaxed, refined, earthy, formal, aromatic, fresh, grassy, green, high-quality, intense, masculine, mature, musky, and versatile, woody, and pleasing sensation.

I absolutely adore this fragrance. Possibly more then I love Creed Green Irish Tweed, and GIT is my signature scent at the moment. While the two are similar at first glance, they differ in many ways. I find GIT to be a bit heavier and masculine. Chez Bond is a little more sparkly, with a sweet note to it. The citrus in both are done superbly. I love them both equally, that I keep both on hand at all times. The women I work with seems to prefer Chez Bond more then GIT (but only slightly). As with most Bonds and Creeds, price doesn't help you make the decision with which to purchase. Get samples of each and make the choice accordingly. Or if money isn't an issue do what I do and get both! Enjoy. Happy Hunting!

This one is a very personal choice which can't be concluded based upon other people's comparisons to other fragrances. This smells great, even captivating, on skin. It stays true to the notes that are advertised. Resenting the price may simply indicate envy of being able to afford it. A high-end contender for a similar segment might only boast some whale barf and a drydown that is very reminiscent of tweed. A low-end contender now smells like cheap aquatic aromachemicals, no longer the game changer it used to be. Chez Bond, on the other hand, smells like Chez Bond, and it gives an unapologetic irresistibility to the wearer when paired with a personality that is ripe with self-respect and confidence.

Alright, so I haven’t smelled GIT, so I’ll just tell you what this smells like to me. So this is really sharp and musky, and all of the green notes, as well as the citruses blend together with the musk for a really nice, clean green scent. If you have a heavier sense of smell, this will be super nice and basically a perfectly bright cologne for you, but if you have a lighter taste in fragrances I could see this being really overpowering. Also, it’ll be pretty strong for the first couple minutes, but after that it evens out really well. Nice classy, and I guess weirdly versatile scent, but it can be overpowering for me at first. After reviewing this one I need to start wearing it again😂

Classic gentleman's scent. Very nice cool woody fragrance, I find this to have a bit more citrus at the top when compared to Green Irish Tweed and overall to be more fresh where as GIT has more of a depth to the cool aquatic vibe. Chez is lacking the stronger woodiness from the iris note in GIT. I'd say Chez is better for warmer weather and summer when compared to GIT. If you wear GIT enough I don't think it would be redundant to own this because you could use this for warmer weather and it is more affordable especially if purchased at discounters. Overall I'd say 4/5 definitely worth a whole bottle.

This is classic barbershop: very similar to Creed but without the harshness in the opening (which I quite like about GIT!) It is probably more easily worn by a more mature man. Personally, I feel myself reaching for this when going for a damp spring walks in the morning- the green notes will pierce through and compliment the lovely cold air first thing in the morning. I only bought this over GIT because it was on a special and the GIT wasn't- they're so similar. I'm a fan though, for the feelings it evokes and the fresh, natural feel it manages to carry with it.

Chez Bond EDP is my first Bond No. 9 and I am really impressed. I love it! It is light, airy and just right for the South Florida climate. I hate saying this but it does smell a bit like GIT. GIT is a lot stronger than Chez Bond though. Anyways, back to Chez Bond. I wore it this morning to work and I already got a few compliments. I can smell it on me and it makes me feel very happy. I will be wearing it very often.

Of the half dozen or so Bond's that I have tried, this is definitely the most versatile. This is a very well-blended fragrance! I can't really pick any singular notes that stand out; I'm getting and overall green citrus-zest-meets-woodbark vibe. A very masculine and mature (but not "old") fragrance for sure. All-season wearability, day or night. 9/10; I'm hard to please, but this stuff is way up there on my list.

Chez Bond smells like a blend of Green Irish Tweed and Wulong Cha. It combines the fresh, green, and slightly musky character of GIT with a smooth, tea note and citrus opening from Wulong Cha. The scent is clean, elegant, and easy to wear, with very good longevity and projection. Smell 9.5/10 Price 6/10 but a worker gave me it for free so 10/10 Longevity 9 hours Sillage about 6 feet Overall 9.5/10

Upon first wear I am hit with a very GIT-like or Cool Water scent. Bright and fresh, but that does not last long for me. It dries down relatively quickly and evolves into something very similar to Amouage Reflection Man on my skin. I love both GIT and Reflection, so this is a great two-fer. I will have to evaluate longevity after some wears but upon first sniff, I’m in love with this.

I love this. An exact clone to GIT? Not quite, but the difference is very small. GIT has a stronger earthy note to it and is a bit more rich. This is equally as vibrant as GIT but safer for office and casual use as it doesn't carry the "outdoorsy" tone with it like GIT. GIT is a bit more "daring" if you will. This is the more refined, safer version. Love both. Almost exactly the same.

This is what Green Irish tweed used to smell like(without the tea) when I wore it 25 years ago and before it was reformulated to the current shadow it has become. A fragrance for a gentleman who has never worn white sports socks and thinks that the gusset on trousers should be not be at your knees unless your in the process of removing them. A simply splendid fragrance

Bought A sample of this as well as Scent Of Peace from Fragrance.Net and it was very nice addition for my vacation and got compliments back home as well,strangely enough I personally liked the SOP more but this was just a beast. Costly but it’s versatility is worth it if you’re into designer fashion (literally won’t be the most expensive thing you bought lol).

my first thought was Oh my goodness!! this smells amazinggggg. smooth and soapy, elegant. reminds me of a suit and tie evening on a warm night, enjoying the city from a rooftop. I love the sandalwood in this, almost milky/creamy and comforting. Lasted 9 hours on clean skin. Good projection first 2 hrs then it quiets down into a creamy & woody scent.

Never smelled GIT but man this is such a beautiful, refined, classy summer scent. The opening blew me awary. Complete love at first sniff. The blend of citrus and sandalwood on top of the green notes is mesmerizing. Purchased on a gray market sale for a killer price. Haven’t given it a full wear yet. Will update after a day at work tomorrow.

This definitely smells very much like Green Irish Tweed but to me much better. It has a longer projection than GIT and I seem to get more compliments. I am on my 2nd bottle of Chez Bond. Now if you don't want to pay all that Creed/ Bond No 9 money, just buy a bottle of Davidoff's Cool Water for less than $30 and you will be all set.

I can't for the life of me understand how people think cool water, green Irish tweed and chez bond smell the same. I think they are 3 very different scents that are all easily distinguishable from one another and in my opinion Chez is the nicest. Doesn't have that annoying grass note of GIT, it's beautiful from the initial spray

A fresh green scent with a nice citrus lift and a great smooth powdery tea note and a classic woody base. Smells super classy and a great gentlemen’s scent. Amazing in the spring and summer and has great performance too. It also has a nice airy and clean vibe. The more I wear the more I love it. Pricey but a wonderful experience

This one to me has all the great things about green Irish tweed but maybe somehow inverted to be more subtle + airy, focusing on having no superfluous shit-in-it. It’s really great it’s like they payed more attention to the tone or tambre (to mix idioms). It’s fuzzy while being a little creamy + fresh woody , tea +green

Love at first sniff! The opening is very GIT woth yhe green dryness but then the sweetness comes in and its so nice! I think this will be my summer go-to. But also cant wait to try this in the fall. I feel like this will be a nice inoffensive fragrance for all occasions. Seems to perform well on me as well.

All I can say is "WOW!" I don't say that often anymore. This has to be my new favorite! I keep reading about similarities between this and Creed's Green Irish Tweed but I just don't smell it. They both smell great though. Bond No. 9 Chez Bond is definitely the winner! 10/10 scent! Well worth the money!

Like others are saying, this does resemble Creed GIT. That being said, it is a less offesnive/spicy version. It is not as strong of a scent (not performance). That being said, it is a lot easier for me to wear in high heat that GIT (you can do it anyways). Very nice longevity. Really love this.

This is a softer and creamier version of Creed's Green Irish Tweed. I really like this fragrance but to me Green Irish Tweed is better. I had both in my collection for a little while but I ended up giving Chez Bond to a friend as a gift because I reached for GIT more and hardly wore it.

Never smelled GIT which this is constantly compared to....but I will say this, this was my first Bond no. 9 because when I sampled it I immediately said I HAVE TO HAVE THIS. This is such a well dressed gentleman scent, clean, fresh, citrus dressed up or down but rock it with nice hair.

I know this is for men but on me it smells like citrus bubblegum! my goodness it's delicious. I love this offering. I am surprised it isn't unisex because to me it smells extremely sweet and playful. I literally can't stop smelling my wrist for more than 30 seconds at a time! LOVE!

This stuff is great! Smells like GIT but better on me. I bought it blind based on the reviews and so glad I did. It starts off green and balmy and transforms into something beautiful. The lasting power for me is better than GIT and if you are afraid to buy it, don't be.

This is some high quality juice with very good sillage at 6 or 7 hrs. This is one of my top scents. Many women LOVE this. Clean, fresh and very sexy. Full Bottle is a must. The tea notes separate this from the rest. It is bracing but still very cool!!!

Btw, I accidentally layered it with Bvlgari Extreme Pour Homme - which amplified the tea note and gave it some spiciness. Worth a try! And really - I can't see similarities with Davidoff's Cool Water nor with Creed's Green Irish Tweed...

It must be because of the name but I see Ian Fleming.James Bond wearing this. This is for the sexy manly man. You smell the citrus and the masculinity of the fragrance but you also want to hug this man. Women find it sexy. Nuff said.

Wore this today and layered it with Initio's absolute aphrodisiac. Im 8 hours deep with it and Im still getting wafts around me. What a great scent on its own, but layering it just sent it over the top for me. Love this one.

Violet vanilla sublime with a gentle leather lining. It doesn't take much. There's no comparison other than to note that the other stars in the Bond constellation make more sense near this one.

And I will say it does remind me of a imaginary laundry detergent that would be far far too expensive , and I know what you’re thinking, no I am not gay

Prefer it over GIT, no screechy opening. Reminds me more of Royal Crown Rain once it starts to dry down. Not a clone of Rain, but definitely similar.

Fighting for top 3 Bond for me. Have 8 bonds. With no particular order, This, Lafayette and Scent Of Peace are my top 3 so far. This is pure Class.

Smells like Aqua di Gio and Fierce’s lovechild. Not bad or anything, just a more complex version of them both. Basically an overpriced cool water.

A nice classy scent! Instills confidence and is easy to wear. Best for spring bc of the green vibe it gives. Beautiful bottle as well.

Reliable dumb reach fragrance. Surprisingly got compliments at campus and even at work, perfect for spring/summer. Real proper stuff👍
