Dubai Citrine

Very nice scent but not for everyone. Certain notes here are a red herring, particularly red berries. This can be simplified as a citron, pine, oakmoss fragrance, with a heart of earthy yellow tagetes and lilies. There's a touch of earthy vetiver and musk in the base. Strongly reminds me of Bortnikoff Cologne Celeste, to the point where I don't think the average person may be able to tell the difference between the two in the air. This scent has a pungency from these ingredients (particularly citron pine mixture) that I think the average fragrance fan may not enjoy, but I believe niche aficionados will likely appreciate. Performance is very strong bordering on nuclear. Extremely versatile and can be worn in just about any situation and weather, provided you like the vibe this one puts out. For me I've got to be in the mood for it just like with the Bortnikoff. I'd go as far as saying if you do not like earthy yellow plant matter, citron, pine, oakmoss you will NOT like this one. For me, I think it's great when I'm in the mood to enjoy it. -----------------------------------------------------Conclusion: Once you smell this one, you will never forget it. This def is highly underrated because not many people own a bottle but it’s def a top doing and summer scent because it’s actually last 8 plus hours. This has a universal appeal and I don’t think anyone could really hate the smell. I think this portrays the streets of Dubai with all the market stalls full of ripe fruits and citrus. It’s a sweet and creamy citrus with a beautifl floral component; but it’s not overwhelming floral. Overall I would give it a 9/10 and def one of my top for spring and summer

Almost identical to Amouage's "Sunshine" despite differing ingredients. Amouage's superior product is more dense and more 'plummy'. This is somewhat more fresh, brighter and more hesperidic, especially in the top. Still a very pleasant summer daytime fragrance. 8/10 for wearability. Rather feminine.

I just sampled this at bloomingdales in Santa Monica. Blast of fresh citrus for the first 3 minutes. Fades a bit. Now it is settling into a woody floral with hints of orange/mandarin creamish sorta vibe. Smells really good. Reminds me of Atelier citrus edt. I cant say that im head over heels, since i feel that i have smelled this scent in other places, so, although its good, its not outa this world.

Unusual complexity and quality from Bond. Opens sweet and fresh, like walking into a plethora of berries and flowers. Has your usual chypratic undertone. The composition is nice and balanced, and holds for hours. Then the fresh zest settles into an undertone and the scent gets overtly spicy (but still quite good). You might say this stuff is sweet & spicy, like overpriced Szechuan sauce. 👍

Refreshing citrus fragrance for a hot summer day. The marigold note is most prominent to my nose. Nice looking bottle too...

I write my reviews for my own future reference. Very sweet and floral out in the open. The scent is quite lovely, like a mixed bouquet, elements of watery, juicy, almost candy-like flowers. Also wondering if it is marigolds I'm mostly smelling, but not sure. Upon application the fragrances sweetness dies down a bit, but the mix doesn't change. The major bummer (and it is a pretty big one) is this fragrance sits very close to the skin. I've applied it three times today and can't smell it on my arm 18" away. I can only smell it when I bring my arm up to my nose. It also doesn't last very long. At this price point a greater sillage and longevity is definitely expected. As much as I like the scent, the practically or wearing this is going to be unnecessary expensive.

Berry laden floral chypre that is a bit sweetly cloying. The scent opens with this berry infusion surrounded by citrus, pine and seaweed. The heart has many florals headlined by magnolia, lily and geranium. The perfume settles on a powdery bed of synthetic musk and oakmoss with hints of vetiver and ambroxan. The feminine leaning scent has moderate to strong projection and very good longevity. Those into berry centered scents may like it, others could find it a bit too saccharine. Enjoy!

Very expensive D&G Light Blue.

Still trying to work this out. I wouldn’t call it a citrus scent, though I do love bergamot. And there’s some note, not the bergamot, but also almost something close to bitter, that seems to be bumping up against the rest vs flowing or blending. Is it the marigold? Maybe just my skin? I have trouble with soft scents, trying to keep my nose off my skin, I know nose into skin isn’t the best way to experience a fragrance, but the catch-22 of trying to get at it when it’s not meeting you halfway..... This feels more like a green bush/tree hybrid of some sort, that has various blooms of some sort, that are faint but slightly floral, occasionally bitter, sorta changes with the breeze. Squarely unisex, and I love a frag living in this arena that is that, cause I adore notes that are mostly found in men’s scents, but they can smell a bit “mannish” on me, when I consider myself all girl. So some men might find this too girly, the floral is undeniable. Or maybe this is like you mowed over a bunch of grass and bushes and then tried to use the mulch as pou-pourri by adding some oils or whatnot on a base of wet dirt? I love a good green, earthy smell, and I don’t like too sweet, so it may just be too timid for me. I will say it doesn’t project but it does last. It’s almost like it started out to do some things but was so afraid of actually doing anything, that it never quite made it on any level. Or almost like coming across a picnic table full of used napkins and plates that were eaten from but not thrown away. Whatever the actual feast was isn’t actually there, you just get a hint at what it was. Maybe I just don’t get the whole Dubai thing. Others are better to me, but the whole project feels a bit like trying to get a square peg into a round hole or like somebody got off into the shoulder of the highway and just needs to get the car back in-between the lines. Or did they put the new guy in charge of this whole Dubai concept? I think given the base notes, I just expected this to be a bit “bigger”. Maybe it’s just me, maybe it’s just not my thing? Unoffensive, also Unimpressed. But still intrigued. Update: if I douse myself in it and measure it in relative conditions (ie elysium), I can smell it when my arm is near my head, and I like it quite a lot, find it pleasantly uncommon (yet I am NOT up on men’s category of fragrances) and enjoyable. But I mean I need to bathe in it. I just can’t get accustomed to things that need that much application, it’s counter-intuitive for me. I am a kid from the 70’s/80’s, and I get annoyed at uber sheer scents. Don’t want people to run off from me, but there IS middle ground. I think my crudely simple summary is green, flowery sticks and dirt. In the best way. Something about it makes me keep wanting more of it. I’d love to understand just why. Discounted, but not at original price, this is FBW to me, esp since it lasts pretty well once you get your bath in it.

10 out of 10. This is a luxurious tropical orange citrus scent. Many citrus fragrances can be similar or contain dissipating notes that leave behind a fresh fragrance (freshies), but this one is different. It’s a thicker heavier juicy fresh luxurious citrus scent that’s not cloying at all. Can’t wait to buy a full bottle of this one. Edit: bought a full bottle a few months ago and I barely ever reach for it. It’s a little too “tropical” for me even though I love the scent (same with God of Fire and Pacific Chill- I love those scents but I don’t reach for them much ultimately- and this bottle is in the same realm). My earlier review said it was tropical citrus, but now that I have spent more time with the bottle, I can definitely get the florals as well as some watery notes. My final rating is an 8.9/10.

This is horrendous, it smells like a lemon/ orange going off, in the heat, with that undercurrent of Bond no9 acrid smell. a sweet rank smell with a sharp citrus note. If this smells this bad when new, as is the case with many of these high end smells they go rank and smell vile like Creeds Millesium Imperial very quickly. Your better fo buying Aqua Di Gio at £30 a bottle and this nearly £300 a bottle! Yuk

THIS STUFF SMELLS SO DAMN GOOD! This honestly smells like something a rich aunt with no kids would smell like. I usually wear this scent when I wear my pink polos. It's a loud, musky floral that's extremely pleasing to the nose.

Negative feedback may remove removal of the item? What is Fragrantica playing at? Surely negative feedback should be allowed. Perfumes are subjective but to remove a review because of negative feedback is stupidity!
