Dubai Indigo

Somewhat against my better judgement while browsing other fragrances, I allowed myself to be accosted by a Bond representative. She was very nice but had an obvious and quite overbearing bias toward the brand. In a department store, despite the brand they represent an assistant should be just that, and assist you. I wouldn't have minded so much but she used the usual, slightly disingenuous patter. However, she soon realised I was familiar with the Bond line and to me they are slightly old news. I understand the enthusiasm as Bond used to be exclusive to one store in London, now they have broadened out so everyone is keen to promote them as a 'new' brand. Anyway, I was trying stuff from other houses and evidently wasn't impressed with the 'normal' sufficiently high priced Bonds so was diverted (arm up my back, almost) to the even more expensive Dubai collection! Ruby was okay but not really anything I hadn't smelled before but... Indigo? Indigo definitely was. The opening is like a wonderfully exotic, fruity lychee note. The whole experience is basically a clean white musk, sweet jasmine with lovely fruity notes that are kinda peach like but not at all cheap. I think it's the juiciness of that lychee which remains for hours. You can tell there's a middle eastern base of oud and amber, it's very slight and subtle but extremely high quality and lasts very well. I want to say Indigo is a touch feminine to start off but actually as it dries down isn't overtly so. I really like this and have to say that as far as bringing something slightly different to the arena, Indigo delivers the goods. Some may consider this pricey for what it is and I'd have to agree but on a day when I tried a 50ml at over £500 this was a bargain by comparison.

Never been a big fan of Bond No. 9 before. I’ve smelled a number of their popular scents and they were just ok. Everything changed during a trip to Russia where I bumped into this amazing perfume! I was bewitched and couldn’t get it out of my head. I held back from buying it on the spot at that time cause of the high price. However I ended up constantly sniffing the tester throughout the day. After trying to control myself for a few months from spending a fortune on a bottle of perfume I eventually gave in and purchased a full bottle ha ha! This smells so amazing! To me it’s like an oasis in the middle of the desert with fresh sparkling tropical fruits and flowers dancing around. It quenches your thirst and hits all the spots at the same time. There’s a heavy note in it that keeps it from smelling like a typical fruity floral and it makes it smell expensive at the same time. To me it is exotic and intriguing and I keep wanting to smell it. Very happy with my purchase! This is definitely something special.

I've been waxing lyrics about this one on the forum so much that it's time to write an official review. Dubai Indigo is a powerful lychee-peony-wood scent. It is deep, full and more floral than sweet. The fruity note is a hybrid between lychee and peach. The oud is evident from the start, and gives the composition a hint of rubberiness which, surprisingly, really helps dial back the sharpness of peony and fruit esters. The result is a well-balanced, very grounded fruity floral that stands out from the crowd. The drydown has a tad bit more musk, but thankfully the fruits, flowers and oud never fade away, so we don't get a shampoo drydown in the end. In comparison, Ex Nihilo's Fleur Narcotique is much more along the beaten track of "fresh, bright, pretty" fruity floral. If you expect that kind of fruity floral Dubai Indigo isn't for you, but if you wanna try a heavy juicy floral instead, do check this one out.

Holly Fudge! This perfume is my second one from the Dubai line, this is a gorgeous unisex, ageless, lush floral with unexpected depth to be enjoyed anytime. The scent grows more intriguing the longer you wear it. Sexy as heck, it is not too much and not too little just enough for the right person. If you want to smell sophisticated, elegant and feel empowered to take the world wear this. My favorite sentence “ this how beautiful people are supposed to smell”. Never pay retail if you don’t’ have to. The notes are: Lychee, peach, bergamot, orange blossom, jasmine, peony, white musk, amber, agarwood and oakmoss – The lychee and bergamot are alive in this fragrance. This is a must have! I cannot stop sniffing my hand and my clothes.

Hi, for me it's a heavy citrus scent I get in the beginning mostly the bergamot then after half hour comes the peachy-lichy-orange blossom with a little oud. I can't detect any peony or jasmine or musk. Longevity is good-in the first 2 hours with very good sillage then 3-4 hours moderate, after the 4. Hours it will be skinscent and lasts 8-9 hours as a soft musk scent (on clothes stays 2 days). I get compliments from unknown man in the park that's why I think it has big sillage. Beautifule spring/summer scent- absolute unisex.

This is probably my favorite fragrance from this house. I LOVE it, but on my wife it is just incredible, I wanted to bite her arm off smelling it - it is just amazing! Sweet, peachy top notes with the most beautiful heart of Orange blossom and Jasmine, with a slight hint of peony. Dries down to a wonderful sandalwood/musky smell with a bit of bandaid/rubbery oud. It is just perfect!

I agree - magnificent - can't take my wrist off the nose, went back twice to spray in the hand. It reminds me quite a lot of Burberry Women , maybe with a slightly spicier touch (uou could call in modern), maybe a bit bolder than British creation. I might go FB eventually , but need a more serious reason to spend in excess £400 on it.

Finally added this one to the collection and I really enjoy it. The Bond musk DNA is the main player to my nose being upheld by a beautiful fruity floral. This is definitely unisex and plays well in the hot weather. If you can find it at a discounter, grab it.

I also love the fact that one can't feel any Aoud in the composition... I guess it just binds all the notes together but is kept very much in the far background unlike the other reps of the Dubai line in BS9

I've tried the entire Bond Dubai line but this one was elusive. I didn't think I'd like it, so I never hunted down a sample, and my local Bond never carried it, until today. The bottle is stunning, probably my favorite from the line and one of my favorites from the entire range. The scent starts off fruity with fresh florals. Normally I don't like peony but it's not bad here. I got a lot of peach for the first hour that combined with the oakmoss and other basenotes, came together to resemble a tea accord on my skin. Beyond that it's a floral, amber, musk into the drydown. Maintains a pin prick of green from the oakmoss I suppose. It smells perfectly pleasant, like a nice detergent or air freshener, but not in a bad way. Conclusion: This fragrance does not match the presentation. It seems like all the creativity went into the bottle and the fragrance was an afterthought. How awesome would it have been to use blue ingredients, like blue berry, blackberry, lavender, or blue bonnet flowers? 🪬 --------------------------------------------------------- I like the house of Bond, but this feels uninspired. The scent is fine, but not worth the anywhere close to the premium price, unless you like shelf art. Scent 50/100 Performance TBD

Whoa. Something went very wrong here. The opening was synthetic rubber so I waited. The rubber faded somewhat but the middle notes were actually lackluster for an oud blend at this price. Yawn.

Blind bought then returned it, thought I may like it, turns out I do not at all. Super ultra mega fem to me, it is strong but the flower that is strong in it, I just do not like at all. But it’s a very very strong scent for sure, if it’s your thing you can’t go wrong and will be happy, full price though, never! It’s very linear and I do not get anything musk at all, I prefer Amber.

This does smell slightly similar to Greenwhich Village but not as good. IMO this smells like wet paint mixed with citrus.

Sorry, but it smells like a cheap fragrance. Pear is very intensive. Test before buying.

This is the s--t and I'm glad I saw the YouTube reviews about it because not many fragrances are worth 550.00 but upon smelling this even after many forced sample cards from the sells rep at saks I was blown away and told her that this is why I came here. I couldn't stop sniffing the card and though I didn't buy it at the time, on the way home I kept getting wiffs from my inside pocket that over shadowed my ADP Colonia oud and smelled like everything I've been waiting for and I didn't get feminine at all. I arrived at home and couldn't get it out my mind as I kept picking up the card, needless to say I found a 15% off code I had and put it to use right away. The longest wait of my life and on first use I got so many compliments that I felt bashful, one women told me that this is get pregnant Cologne, Wow I've never got that before from anything. Fruitiness in perfumes tend to hit me less, and this is another example of that. From the get go, this perfume reveals its oud and peony. As time goes by, initial sweetness that I cannot pinpoint makes way for more prominent musk. At the end of the day, this perfume turns into a skin scent on me, leaving a faint trace of peony, oud, musk and some amber. I was looking forward to the bombastic shot of fresh bergamot and litchi, but that is not happening for me. Perhaps another try in warmer weather will bring the fruitiness to the surface. Pretty scent, but not what I expected from the list of notes.

At first, I wasn't a big fan because the fragrance was too light and too common for me. As it dried down, my opinion completely changed. I tried it on me and walked out of the Boutique; I kid you not, within 30 minutes, I had 5 different people come up to me and ask me what I had on! I just called the store on Bond St, ordered it, and they are about to ship it to me. Also, I wish they would show you the packaging of this bottle, TO DIE FOR!

From what I read this bottle must smell gorgeous and luxurious but I would never ever pay $200+ for a bottle of cologne ($160 would be my max) so I emailed bond no 9 boutique and asked for a sample and they told me they stopped giving samples due to overwhelming requests smh Well then, I’m scratching this off my wish list and I’ll probably go look at some Arabian Oud. Update- this bottle is freakin $550 retail. lord help us all

Normally I am a fan of Bond no 9 and they tend to do very good woody fragrances which only the expensive perfume houses tend to do well. However, this is a fruit fragrance and as said a few times below it smells 'cheap'. I think it smells just like J Lo Glow. Save yourself the expense and try J Lo of SJP for an almost identical fruity pear perfume at a literal tenth 1/10 of the cost.

I have both indigo and Greenwich Village and I can absolutely say that indigo has part of Greenwich DNA in it. With that said Greenwich Village is far superior better than indigo. Somewhere in the mix of concoction of the indigo formula it goes really really wrong. Not worth the price nor the time.

An identical twin of The Fragrance Kitchen's "Musky Ever After" except for the price ! (Its available at Selfridges if you wanna compare for yourself) The bottle design is gorgeous but that price though .....

I'm a man's man but I love this scent. It's unisex but it definitely leans more feminine than masculine. I love to wear this with my pink or salmon pastel polo shirts.

After 2 hours, this juice is a skin scent A pleasant fruity floral that this man likes however, it smells cheap at this price point.

If you are in Dubai or any other hot country, don’t even think to get it. ..it’s evaporate so fast in more than 29 c .
