Dubai Platinum

This smells exactly like Gucci Pour Homme 1, Parle Moi Papyrus Oud, and Bentley Absolute. All are created by Michel Almariac and I'd bet he is also the perfumer here. The only difference to my nose is this has a bit more incense and has a bit of Oud that dissipates very quickly. Performance is on par with papyrus oud which is little better than Bentley. This is an All-star DNA, but it sits a little closer to the skin just like all the rest of Almariac's other creations of this scent. This is a reference fragrance for papyrus and smells nothing like Governors Island. I love Bond number 9, I've tried and own lots of them. But they got BAMBOOZLED by perfumer Michel Almariac because you can get this EXACT same juice in Bentley Absolute for around 30 dollars. Scent 10/10 Performance 5/10.

Incense Incense Incense... I love this simple yet addictive potion. Smells like a cedar wood box from long ago. Soft , easy dry wood and incense. I am debating a full bottle. Love the smell itself but projection isn't hardcore. It will stay on skin for a long time though. I would not pay full retail but I see it for $150 and its worth that to me.... I just don't like this house and I think they are complete rip offs for what people pay (retail)...

I love this! It’s one of my more favorites. Smells like wood and religious incense first and foremost about 60% wood mixed with 40% high quality incense. One of the realest woods I’ve ever smelled but that incense is there and a smooth subtle vanilla comes through here and there. Dubai platinum is a great name for it and I hope they keep this collection alive. 10/10 even though I don’t wear it everyday

This is definitely a point in case of taking perfume reviews and opinions on the web with a grain of salt. This is incomprehensibly scored low online This is BEAUTIFUL! It's elegant, incensy, woody, chic...I can go on. Try it. Decide for yourself. For me: 10/10.

Not only the area where I spray it smells, it has a scent that like wraps around my entire body. Bond no9 is very cool and amazing perfume! I love it soooo much!! I was looking for this kind of aroma!! The Top, Middle, and Last boundaries are vague, and they all seem to be unified and no change in aroma is felt. The unified scent is also one of the reasons I love this perfume. I remember the smell of the Middle East by Aud.

Dubai platinum & Governor Island by Bond no 9 smell identical. Both have a long lasting incense accord which is churchy and austere. Perfect for Lent & Easter wearing 🙏🙏🙏 The bottles and prices are different but the juice is the same. Get the cheaper one...

Dubai Platinum feels like one of those fragrances built entirely around hype and presentation, not originality or quality. Strip away the flashy name and packaging, and what you get is essentially a thin, overpriced imitation of Bentley for Men Intense — but without the richness, depth, or character that made the original stand out in the first place. The boozy-leathery opening comes across harsh and synthetic rather than luxurious, and the drydown lacks the dense, smoky elegance of Bentley Intense. Performance is also disappointing considering the absurd asking price: mediocre projection, average longevity, and very little evolution on skin. What makes it worse is the positioning. Charging niche-level money for what smells like a diluted clone is hard to justify. There are countless fragrances at half the price with more personality, better materials, and greater authenticity. Dubai Platinum tries very hard to feel exclusive, but in reality it smells derivative, over-marketed, and massively overpriced.

Smelled this at Neiman Marcus today after the friendly saleswoman convinced me to try a few Bond No. 9 fragrances. This one intrigued me the most and I kept the strip thinking I might need to start saving my dollars for a bottle. As I was leaving the store sniffing the test strip, though, I thought to myself, this smells like something I own, I think? And when the cedar and papyrus started coming through pretty strongly, I realized it was Bentley for Men Absolute. Surely though, I thought, this must be different/better somehow, right? Got home, sprayed on BfMA and wow, I've been sleeping on it, so good and nearly identical to Dubai Platinum. Looked up the price of Dubai Platinum: $600, retail! Even if Dubai Platinum IS somehow better, whether it be quality of ingredients or performance, is there any way it's 20x better? Absolutely not. A popular discounter currently has a tester of this for $175. That's still almost 6x the price of my $30 bottle of Bentley Absolute. Not a chance. As others have mentioned, it's good but definitely a cash grab considering there are at least 3 other Michael Almairac fragrances that are nearly identical, one of which can be had for peanuts.

This is one of the biggest disappointments from Bond No9. I fell in love with their Signature Scent + New York Nights which delight the senses and last forever. I sooo wanted Dubai Platinum to give the same experience esp for that price! It is a huge letdown. It smells heavenly out of the bottle. Half hour to an hour later it is completely undetectable. WHAT are they thinking!!!?

Really not that nice. Not sure what I expected, but it certainly isn't that.

Anyone who would buy this for $600 when you can get Bentley For Men Absolute for $30 is a total moron.

Unfortunately ordered this as my monthly scent subscription choice. It’s really nice and I love all the notes, but reads WAY too masculine for me personally. I would definitely dig this on a man. Will probably exchange it or give it to one of the men in my life as it will suit them much better. Good reminder to never blind buy / order solely on notes because the combo can be totally different than the vision in your head. (**Edit: it’s growing on me! And, yes I am that nut the sprays unsmelled fragrances directly on my skin lol. So I have been living with it and I think I like it now. We will see...) **UPDATE. Gave to my brother who it smells beautiful on. He recently visited our hometown and spritzed some on before going out and I am glad to have made the match.

I really enjoy incense frags this one is no different. It’s heavy incense in the opening but the dry down is really where it shines when the cardamom blends with the pink pepper. It’s really good even if you don’t like incense just give it 25mins. Dubai Platinum does smell a bit like Bentley Absolute but a niche version with way better performance. To my nose it’s closer to the discontinued Tom Ford Vert D’Encens. If you miss that discounted gem now you have an alternative.

Wow...smelled at Saks, immediately said it smelled like GPH and Bentley Absolute, sales associate gives me a generous sample, when home I A/B them on both hands...I’m not joking at all when I say this is identical to Bentley Absolute

Completely identical in every sense to Amouage Fate Man. I’m confused, did they just buy bottles of Fate Man and put the juice in new packaging?..

I blind bought this and don't like it. My full bottle is up for sale. (I've used maybe 5 sprays).
