Hamptons

I went to Saks Fifth Ave. to try "Eau de New York" (which I was dieing to try for months and months). Big disappointment all I could get out of it was that overbearing smell of neroli (overkill)and woods. So I went through the collection and came across The Hamptons. love at first smell. When I first sprayed it on the scenery of fresh Magnolias and soft jasmines filled my mind. I've smelled jasmine before and I hate it its strong and old fashioned, but in Hamptons its young and vibrant. The Magnolia is soapy and sensual. As it dries down the citrus notes start to come in, instead of the strong orangy or limey scent most fragrances have, Hamptons has more of a tarty candy like arrangment. My favorite part of the drydown is when the candied citruses meet the calm turkish rose which makes this scent classy and unforgettable. The lasting power is unreal I spray it on yesterday at 5:30 p.m. and it was 8:00 in the morning when I woke up and the fragrance was still there not a trail, but actually still on me. This fragrance reminds me of the forals in M by Mariah carey (warm). Overalln will I buy it again ($175) maybe but I do want to try more of the Bond 9 collection. I call it a evening to night time scent. You don't have to like the scent, but you have to respect the fact that this scent has one of the most stunningly beautiful forals, if not the best than any other scent in this category. The forals are just creamy and captivating.

Rewriting my review on this one: Many of Bond's "unisex" fragrances are quite feminine to me, so this is one that I judged by its cover and just assumed "that looks girly". Mild mistake on my part! This fragrance has grown on me, and is one of very few scents that has garnered ENTHUSIASTIC compliments, not just a "mmm you smell nice" but more like an astounding "WOW" or two. I immediately get the resemblance to Creed Silver Mtn Water; in fact I feel like this scent is a more "floral" spin on Creed's famous "inky tea leaf notes" of SMW. It's a beautiful fragrance in its entirety, and I'm not well versed enough to singly select notes of specific flowers, but the best I can say is that it's a "soft white/light yellow floral smell" with a citrus zest top and a dry sandalwood base. To me the musk kind of mingles throughout and it's a great supporting ingredient and never stands out for me too much. This reminds me of Calvin Klein CK One in a sense---now wait, hear me out!---, not by the smell but because it's absolutely proper unisex! A boyfriend and girlfriend could wear this at the same time, still smell mildly unique to each other AND it's a genuine proper wear for both of them! (I actually shared a bottle of CK One with a girl friend in high school) This went from a "like" to a "Love" for me and I rate this 9 out of 10!

This is the highlight of my fragrance collection and for good reason. I read some of the comments on this and I just have to say WTF. I'm a 23 year old college student and bought BOND NO 9 Hamptons for myself after smelling some of the samples of it. All I have to say about this amazing fragrance is if Jesus was still alive he would wear this . The initial blast of the fragrance I'm not gonna lie is very girly as it smells very floral but the magic happens about 30minutes to 1 hour into the fragrance were it evolves into one of the best scents I have ever smelled in my life. I can't really pinpoint what I smell but let's just say it's one of those scents girls would kill you just to get your shirt and smell the shit out of it all day. When I wear this i literally spread my hands out like I'm a saint as it just fills me with confidence. Can't go wrong with this scent as it also last 24 hours plus on clothes and 6 hours on my skin which is a cologne repellant. This is definitely gonna be my favorite for some time even with some heavyweights like Creed Aventus and Bond NO 9 Wall Street on my wishlist.

I asked for a fresh light fragance in the men counter the first two she showed me were Hamptons and Creed SMW. For my nose this doesnt smell the same but some people may find similarities in some moment on the duration of the fragance, Hamptons smell lot more clean and flowery and SMW more grass and something weird in the opening. I really like this Hamptons. I am still trying how many sprays to get to get the best result. in clothes it last for days!!! really!!. When I put Hamptons I feel so fresh and calm, exactly my style, I have found the perfect fragance for me. I will love to use it even in winter (in texas is like 2 months only) will see if it works. UPDATE.I have try almost all the line, and I haven't found any other bond no 9 product that I like this will become my signature

My favorite Bond fragrance. I tried this for thr first time at a perfume shop in Las Vegas. I loved the fragrance from smelling the bottle, so I sprayed 2 sprays on myself and went about my day. At the end of the day I could still smell it on me, after a full day of walking around in August in Vegas. This scent makes me feel clean and well put together, it gives me a vibe of elegance and richness. After looking at reviews, I tried Creed Silver Mountain Water since I read they were very similar. I prefer the scent SMW because it is slightly more soft to me but the projection and longevity of Hamptons is way more powerful so I think I will be rebuying Hamptons until I get tired of it, which may be never!
