Harrods Royal Rose

Smelled it today and yes it is in one word: DIVINE! I think Bond #9 are on to something with their recent floral explosions. I predict a blossoming revolution with this. BIG. BOLD. BEAUTIFUL. (and bloody expensive....but you cannot have something from nothing, I always say).

Smells to me like moon carnival but more intense! Love it on hot summer night and stays for at least 5hs on my skin

smells divine but with that price tag .. id rather buy other perfumes..

Central Park South + Harrods Rose = Harrods Royal Rose The daffodil note is a bit too much; the rose note is very dry and powdery; definitely a very feminine fragrance with great longevity. I prefer wetter roses as in New York Oud! Try it and decide for yourself.

A big, loud, medicinal rose. Something about this fragrance smells very artificial. Received this sample in the mail from Bond and I must say, I'm not a fan. I'm not someone who gets headaches easily or from perfumes, but Harrod's Royal Rose is so piercing, if I wore it for a long period of time it would definitely bother me. If you're a rose lover, give it a try.

With a finished bottle of Harrods Royal Rose, it's time that I submit my review too. The perfume is along the lines of J'adore Dior, it's the same idea (although I can never wear the original J'adore); it's not as shampooey, it's bolder and focuses a little more on the floral than the fruity side. It's wearable all year round, by any age. The notes fragrantica has listed are equivalent with what the official site states, except that the latter adds santalwood, amber, orris and musk in the base. I can't confirm that I smell woods or amber, it's just not that intense. The perfume is indeed a sweet floral, youthful, modern, springy, compliment getter and feminine above all. It has presence, I could smell it on myself all the time when I would wear it, so for the price tag, it does deliver. With an initial, green pharmaceutical opening, which does not really linger, the perfume settles in a dewey and powdery midst of florals :sweet rose, mimosa and orange blossom; at least these are what I smell. An important thing to know is that the florals are backed up by huge, liquid laundry types of musk, the ones that have fruity accents. This might seem "chemical" to some, but honestly it's so well blended that the scent is unified and linear. To those who like a complimenting, sweet balanced feminine ladylike fruity floral with character. Memders below me insist on divine, well it definitely is special!

I'm going off of the candy perfume sample I received. But I'm not getting much floral in this. This is mostly gourmand on me. I think my skin picks up the sandalwood/amber/oriental notes in this. Its along the lines of West Side and Washington Square. Washington Square is my favorite for cold weather and this is pretty similar so I wouldn't say I need Harrods Royal Rose, but....I might want to add it to my collection anyway =)

I agree with the reviewer who mentioned this is Central Park West + Harrods Rose. To be called "Royal Rose" I really do not detect much rose. I get more gardenia / yellow floral scents. Very soft scent and not as in-your-face as Central park West. This fragrance smells pleasant but is underwhelming (especially considering the price tag).
