I Love New York for Holidays

A charming composition that evokes the warmth and coziness of the holiday season. Patchouli and praline create a deep, rich, earthy sweetness reminiscent of Angel by Thierry Mugler. Here, however, the spices lend the fragrance a distinctly festive character. The opening is almost resinous, enveloping the wearer in comforting warmth. As it settles, the base becomes sweeter and more subdued. I even catch an impression of blackcurrant, despite it not being listed among the official notes. It is that same green, tart, yet sweet fruity accord that comes to mind. Longevity on fabric is very good, while the projection remains moderate. An utterly delightful fragrance to wear, especially during the winter months.

I don ́t get it... Patchouly bomb? Praline note? OK, it ́s a pleasant scent that I like, but it ́s not a patchouly. If the sweetness in the drydown is what some call praline, I understand, but to my nose it ́s more a general, fruity sweetness. An early "fruitchouly", from before the craze started? I have no idea of TM ́s Angel, so I can ́t tell if there ́s a similarity. But let ́s start in the right end; the top notes are dominated by the apricot, next comes the mandarin. It stays surprisingly fruity for quite a while, then settles down in a fruity vanillalala-land. Pleasant, not a wow scent, but wearable for summer for someone like me who ́s mostly into darker, heavier fragrances in the colder months.

I haven't tried Mugler's Angel, but I think this scent itself is a beautiful especially for wintry Christmas. I always associate this perfume with candy store and ginger bread during a calm winter night, a shelter from the thick snow outside. Praline and Apricot is the most prominent notes for me, and maybe that's the conjurer of ginger bread scent for me. This perfume is sweet but isn't cloying, so I usually use 6 sprays... And it last around 8-10 hours with medium to strong silage... This could be worn by Santa Claus.... Merry Christmas...

Wow, I'm far too late to the party on this one, but I unexpectedly love it SO much!! On me I really do get apricot, praline and patchoulli based spicy that just comes alive in cold weather!! I get the Coco Mademoiselle reference...weirdly, it also reminds me of old formulation CK Obsession for some reason (this is a plus point for those that aren't as old as me. Lol) Grab the samples while you can still find them, because this one is a stunner!!

I'm a huge fan of bond no 9, and this is yet another to add to my list. It's fruity, slightly spicy, and that dark kind of sweet that suggests some mischief is afoot. It lasts well into the evening from a morning spray and develops into a beautiful comforting scent. This is patchouli done right. I see some similarities to Angel, but the exact same? No way. A great winter scent.
