New York Amber

Sillage: Strongest I’ve ever encountered (A+) Longevity: I smell this 24 hours and a shower later. This is a 2 day commitment. (A+) Originality: I know of nothing that compares even among amber let alone other fragrances (A+) Craftsmanship: Superb (A+) Scent (Subjective): One of my all-time favorites. It is bombastic. It is curious. This is not sweet and vanilla-ish like other prominent amber dominant fragrances. The oud develops the resinous dimension to the amber effect without taking over. The fresh rose cuts the viscous resin. Amber is more of an experience than a note in my experience. I love how different perfumers give their take on the concept. Bond really surprises me with their take. I'm impressed that the same people who make something like this also created Coney Island or Bleecker Street. The variety, breadth and depth of Bond's portfolio is impressive. Bond's playful marketing cleverly belies how serious they are as perfumers. They get a fair amount of attention but I see something else happening with Bond. They are steadily building a huge collection of very original and diversely styled masterpieces. I can't think of anyone who is so innovative and prolific. New York Amber is a standout fragrance by an outstanding perfumery. (A+) Season: The coldest nights of the year. Drydown: A hypnotic and elegant mellowing experience of its intense opening. Value: Expensive even for Bond. Worth it for those who love it. This is highly concentrated. You get what you pay for here. Gender: Leans masculine in my opinion but the rose pulls it somewhat back to the middle of the spectrum. Universality: This is not for everyone. This is an unusual fragrance period. My guess is that it will be deeply loved by a few collectors but that it lacks general appeal. Learning Curve: I can see how for many this is a challenging fragrance, but it is one I love more with each wearing. If someone is patient and very bold with it they may change their mind. Must be tried on a cold day. Emotional Response: New York Amber is comforting warm nostalgia. I find it soothing, sexy, and cozy. Picture being warm inside beside a crackling fireplace with cold snow blowing outside. Comment: This does not get the greatest feedback from people around me. I do not care. I adore New York Amber. It comes as close to being a signature scent as anything I own. It elicits a very pleasant emotional reaction from me. I recommend starting with half a spray and letting it drydown. It is quite strong--but I for one like that. It may not be for you, but if it is you are lucky. This is a special perfume worth a close look.

New York Amber is an absolute elegant and classy bomb for the senses. It is definitely oriented towards men being such a rich, complex and powerful fragrance. Every single note smells differently from women's scents. For example the rose, which is vivid and rich, is more spicy and oily than flowery and sweet. The same with the amber. It is unisex in the sense of the old, vintage, strong and heavy women's fragrances of the past. Whoever have smelt old French concentrated extract perfumes, can understand me. It really is an amber scent with some other very powerful ingredients. Do not judge until you try it on your skin and give it some hour to develop. It is a slow developing fragrance, which change nicely, full of complexity and richness of its top quality ingredients. It opens very strongly with resins, benzoin, spicy amber, musk, myrrh and roses. In a few seconds, you can feel the oud note with the saffron, so elegant and so well blended (I am not an oud person, but I love this stuff). The amber note is dominant equally with the oud and the rose for hours. It is spicy and dry, very masculine amber. If you are familiar with the soft, sweet, vanilla essence of amber, you will not find it. To feel it more vividly, you must wait to fade out other strong notes, which overshadow the amber. I can feel every single one note of the listed above, pepper, bergamot, osmanthus, jasmine, nutmeg and sandalwood, all together well blended in a rich and warm mix. Some ingredients are intensive, some calm. Oh! About the performance. Longevity and projection are both monstrous. I can even smell myself the other day. With two sprays, you can fill a room. Very elegant and classy smell, definitely you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend it for cold weather, winter and autumn. If you have cold spring, I think it will work well. Take a big and deep breath over this fragrance and close your eyes. It travels you in a winter chalet in Switzerland, in a wooden cozy and beautiful house with good company, in front of a big fireplace holding a glass of vintage and expensive cognac, dressed in fine soft and classy cashmere suit while gazing of the window the snowfall.. It deserves its price, pure top quality ingredients and beautiful craftsmanship. It is not just a fragrance; it is a stunning piece of art. I love it!

I bought a sample of this which arrived a few days ago...just when I came down with a sinus infection. Well, I was excited it got here so I sprayed it on my wrist and then sneezed my head off. This smelled insanely chemical on my skin and it was so bad that I actually scrubbed it off. Fast forward a few days and my sinus infection is a lot better and I can smell more distinctly. I decided to give this another go, so I sprayed my wrist again. First off, this is some seriously stroooooong stuff, so a little goes a long way. Secondly, it does smell somewhat synthetic to me at first, and like everyone else has noted, that could be oud. I don't get much rose at all, but loads of warm amber and the oud is very distinct on my skin. It has a very masculine vibe on my skin, but that's actually ok with me. This has an unusual aroma, that is not for everyone and I think this is one of those love it or hate frags. Definitely get a sample before you purchase. The sillage and longevity are crazy with this one as well, so use it sparingly. For now, this one is on my want list. :)

Bond 9 Amber NY top note is very sweet creamy mix of musk and a hint of Amber. After this juice settles, it has a warm woody/spicy notes floating. In all the sweetness I'm able to detect a hint of rose. One of the main notes being oud is barely noticeable. Both Myrrh and benzion increased the quality of this juice. Longevity and Silage is a monster...well past 10hrs on my skin. Finally, I agree with those who say that Bond 9 is way over priced. Having said that they do have several nieche quality fragrance. I recently picked up Bleeker St. And Brooklyn. This fragrance is a gender bender, if it wasn't so sweet, it would of been far more attractive. Personally I enjoy using this juice during the fall/winter months. Thou it's sweeter it's no where cloying as One Million or Jacques One Million Man or One Million Gold....extremely pungent. This fragrance reminds me of fragrances from the 80's. Fragrance are very personal and pleasing to the individual as it suits them. There's one thing for certain....no way would I pay 300usd...who doesn't like a deal!!! 7/10

At first, the oud note reminded me completely of a farmhouse atmosphere, and I was very surprised by the terrible, sharp, and cold opening. I didn't want to be prejudiced, but I still wanted to try it. I'm so glad I did! Because I was disappointed by all the products I've tried that were labeled as "performance monsters," and I never expected to find the best performance here 🫣. Although it started with a cool scent, within half an hour it transformed into a very familiar, warm, and soft fragrance. It stayed in my nose all day. It smelled so intense and strong, as if I had constantly reapplied it. Those with migraines or scent sensitivities, or those who don't like strong scents, will hate it, but those who, like me, want the scent to linger in their noses will definitely bottle it. It lasted on my skin for more than 10 hours. As I got to know the scent better, the resinous oud and rose notes also became wonderful.

Fragrance -New York Amber Bond No 9 Bottle from - 2015 New York Amber is very well blended so the rose-oud-amber-benzoin just meld together into a lovely scent.It's also a little bit wicked,and reminds me of Barcelona nightlife and unforgettable Spanish girls.Be that as it may,it is a beautiful and amazing fragrance. Longevity - 10/10(12+hours) Silage/Projection - 9/10(several feet away for the first 3-4 hours) Weather - autumn,winter Age - 25+ Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 9/10 Main notes according to me - amber,oud,rose,myrhh,pepper,saffron,benzoin. The drydown is nice and i get some oud,sweetness and musk. Emotions -night fun,party time,beautiful girls,seductive, sexy,sweet. Occasion -nights out,date and clubbing. Perfect for autumn and winter nights out.You'll get compliments with this one.Definitely will get everyone's attention.

This is my second review of this perfume. Firstly, it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, so try it before you buy. Secondly, it takes some time to appreciate and love it, so don't completely write it off the first time you try it. New York Amber is a "dry" scent to me, which may explain why it took me a while to finally purchase it. It's not a cuddly, sweet amber at all. It's a dry, desert amber with rose, saffron and oud. It's most definitely unisex as I can see a man pulling it off quite easily. While it's warm and rich, it does announce itself and I agree that the amber is masculine and a little rough around the edges. The oriental-woody category suits it to a "T". Not everyone is going to love it, even if amber is one of your favorite notes, but it's an interesting mix nonetheless.

This is great stuff. My wife and I have been trying other oud fragrances and have found this to be the perfect one. The oud is so well blender with the amber and rose that it doesn't become tiring. Yes, I mean tiring not cloying. I've tried Montale Black Oud, New York Oud, Tom Ford Oud Wood, M7, and Christian Dior Leather Oud. I find the oud in this to be closest to Black Oud and New York Oud. The biggest difference is, I don't get tired of smelling this on myself. IMHO, this is a great entry level oud fragrance and overall, very beautiful and well blended.

Kalıcılık çok başarılı. Koku dağılımı güçlü. Amber kokusu sevenler için öncelikli tercihlerden olabilir. Ancak bu yine de 1000 TL üstü rakamları hak ettiği anlamına gelmiyor.

I really don't rememeber what Herrods Amber smells like, but I am pretty sure it's bot much different from one another. For New York Amber, I can say that this one reminds me of the Bond No.9 Signature perfume and a tiny bit of New York Oud when it comes down to sweet oriental Oud woody base, but there is a lot of floral action going on here, especially jasmine ( and spiced saffron) Benzoin is quite pronounced too with warm and rich feel. The scent is so nice and luxurious. Try it and you may be hooked like I am.

Got this for Christmas. I love the opening --really great, rich, dark fragrances. And it's probably the longest lasting parfum that I've ever worn: if you put it on in the evening, it's there the next morning. But I have to say that for a men's fragrance, the longer it lasts, the more floral and rose (feminine) it becomes, which is not what I had bargained for. So it's great at first, but later on, the men may have to take it off before they smell like grandma.

i both love and hate this fragrance. i hate it because it smells like chinese herbal ointment that my grandfather would use.....and i love it for that same reason. it really reminds of me of my grandfather and thats a good thing....so im leaning towards liking the fragrance. ill probably use it on special occasions where i want to be taken seriously. its not so much of a playful scent....serious events only where i need to command respect.

One of the best rose ever if it is not THE best. It just clicks something for me. It takes me somewhere very mystical. Amber and oud make it sharp and spicy in a way. And this is what make people say it smells plastic. Very middle eastern I think. More like Mecca Amber. Not your usual and typical rose or even rose-oud. I don’t wear it a lot but I keep opening the cap and smelling it by putting it just on my nostrils. 9/10

I was surprised at how much I liked this one, given that the ratings here tend toward "average" or worse. There's something sharp about this fragrance that gets you right between the eyes. I'd say it's polarizing in the typical Bond fashion -- everyone I've asked about this either adores it or says it stinks. My wife, for one, makes a face whenever I spray this one, but I find it bracing and quite pleasant.

im from iran and when i lived there we had VERY rich family members who used to throw events at their mansion and this reminds me of the smell of the house when i walked in.. this is about 20 years ago and it just takes me right to that period of time .. smell like a rich person to me .... at that smells like a rich woman thats in her 40s and up thats wearing super expensive clothing i kinda like it alot

This scent was a blind buy - and I was pretty confident that I would love it... I have a few other Bond Scents, but they were not as spicy/woodsy as I like. This was absolutely perfect for me. It isn’t overpowering, and lasts a long time (for me). This is the scent I wear with knee high boots, chunky knit sweaters, and ripped jeans.

As a not popular opinion, I think this one could fit in every season with the appropriate dosage. with only two-three half atomizations, and it could work even summer nights. Actually, this is one of the fragrances that I would keep in my wardrobe if I had to choose 10 over all frags.

Great amber oud rose saffron combo with each note strong enough to be called the main note. So is this an amber perfume or rose or oud or saffron? The sum is greater than its parts. Wonderfully blended. Would recommend this to any rose-oud lovers. Very middle eastern. Love this!

This small review after using a sample I received from Germany aLzD. I don't understand why people say it stinks or it's overpowering. It smells good and it is subtle, when I use 2 sprays on a same spot from my sample.

If you love Amber bond 9 but you find it too expensive then try montale amber and spices !! it s almost the same !! and of course it costs less money !

Amazing fragrance!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of my favorite fragrances. It's a bit of a departure for me because I usually like fragrances that are a little more sheer with woods and fruit (like Terre d'Hermes, Aventus, that sort of thing). But this little gem is just beautiful! It's opulent and opaque and it's so well blended that it's take me two years to be able to start to pick up on some of the individual notes. This is not a frag that will get you many compliments (at least not for me) and it's best if you wear in cooler weather, but if you want a fragrance that will take you on floral, spicy ambery journey this is worth checking out. It opens with a dark, incense-laden rose and peppery spice and dries down to the most beautifully pure amber with some lovely spices playing in the background. This is a journey fragrance- spritz it on and take the ride (and pay attention to get the full effect). One or two sprays is plenty; three if you just don't give a f***. Definitely a try before you buy perfume. Under no circumstances should you blind buy this quite expensive fragrance. Get a sample and take it for a test drive first, and if you do decide to purchase, the smallest size is more than enough. I've had the 3.3 oz for over two years and I'm less than 20% through the bottle. A final note - when you spray this on, you will ask yourself, "where is the amber". NY Amber is unique as amber fragrances go. Most of the time you expect to spray an amber frag and immediately get the sweet, vanilla essence of amber...not here. The rose, pepper, oud, benzoin and all of the other notes sit atop the amber, and only after those notes have finally faded a bit (and that's all they do is fade, they never completely give up the ghost) do you get the amber after 8 to 12 hours. You may be thinking that since it's 8 hours later that the amber is subdued; not so. It has been there all along, but the interplay of the notes in the blend make it tough to pick out early on. After about the 8 hour mark, the amber pushes through and it is just as plush as if you had only just applied it.

I decided to compare Bond no 9 NEW YORK AMBER with HARRODS AMBER tonight and have confirmed that the former is a stronger solution of the latter. Both offer a somewhat sharp presentation of amber, with a bitter quality that persists through to the drydown. Both open with a bang. The first time I wore HARRODS AMBER, I felt that it was an extremely boozy fragrance and wasn't that excited about the overall composition. When I applied NEW YORK AMBER earlier today, the opening was startling and even a tiny bit turpentine-like. However, after a few moments the volatile components waft away leaving a fairly potent and complex amber layer. However, this is not smooth and caramel-like amber à la Hermès AMBRE NARGUILE (which I love...). I find these Bond ambers closer to ANNE PLISKA but less spicy and more sharp and somehow surfacey. The notes overlap quite a bit with NEW YORK OUD (to my nose, primarily a saffron-rose perfume), which I would definitely choose over these two more masculine-leaning ambers. I don't think that this composition (at either concentration) is bad, but it's not my personally favorite presentation of amber--a bit too abrupt and rough-edged for my tastes. People vary a lot when it comes to oriental perfumes, so it probably goes without saying: try before you buy!

I have owned this fragrance and I do like it. However, I agree completely with Smellavision's appreciation below. Please allow me to make a couple of recommendations: 1. Must de Cartier. Its galbanum, leather and green notes, lend this amber a masculine, cooler edge (I see a lot of men here use Bond No. 9). Even if it's named Ladies' Must de Cartier, it is truly a unisex fragrance, when evaluated within contemporary aesthetics. Although Must de Cartier has been reformulated and smells a bit synthetic, the formula is still much less "plasticky", much more rounded, much more complex and much more elegant than Bond No. 9 Amber; Plus it sells at half the price retail, much less, if you buy a tester on a reputable website. Or better yet, go for the 2015 Parfum version. It costs approximately the same as Bond No.9 and you'll get better quality. 2. Another suggestion: Serge Luten's Ambre Sultan. It retails for approximately the same price as Bond No. 9 Ambre, however, it is clearly a superior quality. Just as linear as Bond No. 9, not as interesting as Cartier, but it smells natural and performs VERY well.

This is nice. Silage is surprisingly huge. I was testing a bon bon and was so surprised at how strongly this projected. I love amber, even the creamy gourmands everyone here seems to hate. While I like this one, I will say that you definitely get that fizzy myrrh hit up front and it obscures a lot of the deeper amber notes. The oud is out front and makes this fragrance sexy and commanding; the rose makes it sexier and perhaps more feminine than some men would like. This scent still feels very unisex to me. There is a slight sadness to this scent for in 2020 where is that fun evening event where you could wear this?

Wow, really listen to everyone who says to give it more than one chance, if you like the notes! My first impression over a year ago was that the opening was harsh, bugspray-like, even. After developing a taste for heavier scents I find this gorgeous, rose heavy, and absolutely unisex. Upon this 2nd try (from a different sample) I get a rich, bright, tangy rose, touches of pepper, bergamot, woody dark oud, and spiced saffron. Will write more in the future w/ more wearings but I wanted to weigh in since trying a different sample and having an entirely different experience!

This one is "L'eau de Generic Jasmin/Rose Fabric Softener." Definitely packs a punch, as if you mistook a concentrated softener for a normal one and the smell on your clothes will outlast your mortal body. So, caveat emptor. To my nose, the warmer/woody notes listed above such as amber, sandalwood and myrrh, albeit definitely there, take the backseat as sweeteners in this concoction. To be fair, it's a fine, fizzy, sweet & heady oriental scent. But i'd rather spray it on a pillowcase, not on my skin.

This fragrance is the best of Bond no. 9: The Amber and oud along with the florals are perfectly blended. BUT, as with ALL Bond fragrances, there is an undersmell of some fruity chemical that gives me a headache. It is present in every Bond fragrance, and some people smell it and others don't. Artificial grape and acetone? It is the Only Bond no. 9 Fragrance I like and I have come to tolorate that undersmell in this particular fragrance.

To my nose this is mostly a rose dominated fragrance with a bit of amber behind it and a smidgen of oud. I would have liked it more if it was an amber dominated fragrace with a bit of oud and a smidgen of rose. Glad I didn't blind buy it. It is a very nice scent but I have other rose scents that I like better. It also strikes me as more feminine than masculine. Try before you buy.

Molto simile a Soir d'orient di sisley, fredda e pungente,piccante,frizzante senza una base calda e avvolgente che la renda morbida e confortevole. Ambre sultan e ambre fatiche sono molto piu avvolgente e calde e rendono meglio l'idea del profumo ambrato.

I wasn't sure I liked amber scents but this made me a believer. A pretty unisex perfume for cooler months!

A warm fragrance suitable for middle age and above

right after spraying, this immediately reminds me of a montale. i get rose, a medicinal oud and maybe a hint of bergamot at first. then i get more and more saffron followed by some osmanthus i think. it gets lighter and more citrusy over time. then it sort of just stays there- rose, oud, citrus and i don't get a lot of amber either. in fact, i don't seem to smell a lot of the notes listed, maybe my skin amps up these few notes and drowns out the others? i'm not sure.

I often look at my Bond No 9 collection and wonder why I so seldom wear much of it. After all, buying a Bond No 9 is like driving the car off the dealer's lot to find that you probably should have paid about 1/2 of what you actually did, immediately resulting in buyer's remorse. New York Amber is no exception. I feel like this is a fragrance for a special occasion to wear that won't ever come along. The feel on me, even for a fall/winter scent, is too cloying, too suffocating, too overbearing in sucking the oxygen from a room. Is it powdery? Yes. Does it have the Bond No 9 signature notes? Yes. This is that person who clings to you when you long for some solitude to simply enjoy the composition, except that it tries too hard to sell you that great deal on a used car that you know will keep losing its value faster than you can pay for it. Even Walter White's Pontiac Aztek found some sort of cult popularity despite its ugliness, so it makes this difficult to compare it as the Pontiac Aztek of fragrances.Had it not been for Breaking Bad, however, that would likely be a very apt analogy. As to the last part of that analogy -- why this is like buying a used car that no one really wants --once you've made the purchase, no one else wants it and you're stuck with it. So it goes with almost any Bond, but very much so with this one.

I ordered several Bond samples, and this was among them. Right away, I notice a strong resemblance to Bond's New York Oud. As with NYO, this one has a strong oud accord that, to me, smells like OFF! bug spray with deet. It's very strong, somehow not entirely unpleasant, but not at all what I expected from a fragrance labeled as "amber". I actually get no amber in this at all; the scent is mostly sharp, woody and rosy, and with an amber fragrance I did expect a softness that is entirely absent. Among the samples I ordered, I also received New York Sandalwood, and while that scent isn't amber-dominant, it DOES contain amber and it also evokes that softness that I expected here with NYA. Also among my group of samples was a bonbon of Bond No 9 Perfume, and it smells very similar to this, and NYO. Totally redundant in my opinion. Not a fan of this one. In fact, much like with Montale "aouds", I'm finding Bond's oud-note to be really weird, a borderline like-hate because it's so unusual. Oh also, longevity is good and projection is moderate. I'd rate this 6 out of 10, I felt misled as to what it would smell like, but it DOES perform fairly well. Save it for colder weather.

"Total Disaster" Being a fragrance enthusiast is a journey that one has to explore patiently. I have always appreciated the complexity of amber fragrances, so I have spent years and years of researching and testing different amber fragrances. I currently have the best six amber fragrances ever in my collection: 1. Amouage Opus VI 2. Ambra Aurea Profumum Roma 3. Christian Dior Ambre Nuit 4. Profumi Del Forte Ambra Mediterranea 5. Tom Ford Amber Absolute 6. Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan I am, however, still interested in exploring more amber fragrances and challenging the above list. New York Amber might be a nice fragrance by itself, but a total disaster in comparison to any of the fragrances listed above. I doubt they use any amber in the fragrance. Even if they do, it doesn't smell like amber at all. Save your money and don't buy this overpriced and over-hyped fragrance. Products from Bond No 9 are very synthetic and don't justify the price. 0/10.

This is by far the strongest Bond I've had. The name is misleading as I get NO AMBER from this & I am a Amber lover with many Amber fragrances. What this smells like? Rose, Aoud and pepper. It is not sweet yet it has the oily effect about it. The lasting power is well over 14 + hours, the projection is great. It is a well crafted & executed fragrance. Yet it does not smell right to me. This has a middle Eastern vibe for sure. I am not a fan of roses unless it is done right, I go to West Side for my rose fix, as far as Aoud is concerned , I am learning that is not one of my favorite notes unless its blendid right. The bottle is one of the best out of the entire Bond line. I'm afraid it's going to take more than a beautiful bottle to keep me satisfied. I can certainly live without this in my life which is why I sold it.

It's all about the rose with this one. The rose, the rose, the rose. Sillage and longevity MONSTER! While the price is nuts, I'd say at least you'd be getting your money's worth. One spray on my wrist and 3 hours later I'm still sorta keeping my wrist at a distance away from me... sorta gave me a headache. The opening is strong, and harsh, and as other's have noted. But within 10 minutes, Roze-illa rises from the ashes and storms New York! Whew, look OUT! I smell nothing else. If there is oud, it is amping up the rose in the most shrill way. No Amber for sure, which makes the name a huge misnomer. Shoulda been called: Bond No. 9 - The Rose that Ate New York!

Plastic-like amber and rose combo! The opening is slightly rough or even harsh with a bit of leathery oud and saffron, nutmeg and pepper. The heart is a floral musky jasmine rose but turns creamier when the benzoin or myrrh enters the scene. The drydown is amber-y with sandalwood. The amber in this scent is rather bright and not as deep as I personally prefer it, more like an oriental with not so many spices and more dry than sweet. Overall, it's nice and has extremely great performance but it's also somewhat linear and synthetic after the loud opening - definitely try before you buy, I hardly find it worth the asking price.

The lasting power of this fragrance is wonderful. Lasts all day and then some! This stuff is strong and powerful. A little too powerful. It actually triggered my allergies. Sneezing on and off throughout the day whenever I got a whiff of it. This scent just doesn't seem to agree with me. I also find it hard to ignore the fact that the smell totally reminds me of bug spray. The whole time I had it on it felt like I was wearing "Off" insect repellent. I love other Bond fragrances like Little Italy and Andy Warhol Success is a Job in New York but New York Amber didn't impress me at all. Look out mosquitoes, here I come!

This is a scrubber TO THE MAX! Super duper strong, way too strong for me to ever wear. Reminds me of Tom Ford's Youth Dew Amber Nude. I love the idea of it from the description and amber is one of my favorite notes, but this is just too much. Perhaps it's the benzoin. I detest fake ingredients like benzoins and aldehydes. At least aldehydes wear off quickly! This doesn't. Luckily I only purchased a bon-bon from eBay, so I don't have a big financial investment. Better for the gents IMO. Completely pass on this one.

In my mind, this is an absolute oud bomb. I get only a bit of amber, which is a shame given the name of the fragrance. I cannot detect any of the other notes because the oud overpowers everything. The lasting power is quite good. That always seems to happen when I DON'T like a fragrance - it really just does not agree with my skin. But if you like it, rest assured it will stay on you and project. Worth a shot if you are looking for a masculine-leaning scent that really stays.

Testing this today and this smells a lot like NY Musk without the black current. Whatever fixative bond uses on NY Musk is the same here. Additionally I'm getting rose, oud, saffron, pepper, nutmeg and myrrh as the most prominent notes. Faintly powdery with a petroleum vibe and also something that smells like Crayola crayon wax. Strong performance and is completely unisex imo. Interesting, but I'm not convinced I need a full bottle. Smell 4.5/10 Performance 7.5

I do not care for this Bond fragrance. It is somewhat similar to New York Oud. It has a very strong smelling and powerful top note, which I believe is the oud. It smells like Asian incense or medicine. On my skin, it does not smell feminine at all. I love the smell of amber, but I can't smell it underneath the heavy oud note. I feel if they removed the heavy oud from this fragrance, it would be perfect.

Opens with a massive blast of pepper and oud, emphasized with some cold spices: nutmeg, saffron. Underneath, there is a more rounded but still industrial smelling musk/rose. Like many others, I smell no amber here. I do not want to be at whatever imaginary New York nightclub this has been designed for: generic house music and people trying to network for jobs in the bathroom line.

Amber is my favorite note and it is not here. I do get oud spices and some rose but no amber. Very misleading but if Le Labo can do it then why not Bond? It smells like a light Montale scent. I have not smelled amber and spices but some say it reminds them of that. Sillage is not as strong on my skin either. Do yourself a favor and check out other amber scents before buying this.

I don't really understand this perume. It smells like chemical rose and NOT like amber. Plus, what is all the fuzz about the sillage?? No perfume beat ANGEL so far for me. And, besides OPIUM, I have tried them all. Negative for me. Try Xerjoff, those are VERY FANCY FRAGS!
