New York Secret Gardens

Initial impressions: wowed. I went in thinking this would be a loud pink with white frills and tiara wearing bomb. Not only was i wrong, but, weather permitting, I will try to wear this tomorrow. I will be reporting back from my first full and proper wearing. But, woowwww... UPDATE: This is good and i will be picking this up at some point. This is a hyper-floral tinged with an aquatic vibe. On paper, this should NOT work for men. But, despite the notes, this is quite stunning on men (me). I would reach for this Spring and early Fall. If you like fragrances like Accento, this is in that realm. With this, however, I would say it’s more elegant and doesn’t have the sharp citric elements of Accento. The pear note in here is GORGEOUS and really adds to the uniqueness of it. Although, thanks to the iris, accompanied by the tuberose, some may think: detergent. Trust me, it’s not. Check it out. HIGHLY recommended.

A very nice perfume I tried today as I received a sample, At first spray it starts out with a with that sweet alcoholic drink vibe with a pear/apple/grapefruit vibe then immediately a blast of jasmine and sweet citrusy notes with musk under it all. A few hours later it is a fresh aromatic and slightly fruity light scent. More feminine for sure and a little overpriced but perfect for spring and summer. So similar to New York flowers though.

I am really curious to read any reviews from people who have tried both New York Flowers and New York Secret Gardens since they have the same notes with the addition of ivy, tuberose and some mild differences in the base notes. It seems like a strange decision to release another perfume featuring the note of Kir Royal prominently. I have a soft spot for Bond no 9 because when I started my perfume journey they were the first niche brand I ever tried, and Chinatown is still one of my all time favorites. Unfortunately, I didn't like New York Flowers, so this one is going to be a hard pass for me as well.

I find this to be a lovely perfume with great projection and longevity. On my skin, it slightly reminds me of Shelter Island but with more florals - not sure why but maybe because the dry down has musk and amber like SI has. To me, it smells nothing like New York Flowers even though it has a couple of the same notes- this is definitely less sweet than NYF. Definitely give this one a try- I think it is beautiful.

While this is similar to NY Flowers, this is fresher and crisper, more unisex than feminine. NY Flowers is one of my favorites, and this wears differently, but I don't feel one needs both, as there are clear overlaps. The musk is prominent, similar to that in Bond Signature (the one in the gold bottle). Cleaner and less creamy than NY Flowers.

Is it identical to New York Flowers? I know it's a bit shallow but I love the bottle.
