Di Borghese

I have two cuff bracelets, one silver & one gold, containing Borghese solid perfume. Absolutely delightful. Reminds me of RL Safari or MF Epris. The liquid perfume also pleases. This is a winner, but can be expensive on eBay. Good luck to those seeking this lovely lady.

OMG this is a wonderful fragrance! I had a bottle of this maybe very early 80s & I loved it. Only one store in the town where I lived at that time carried it, my Jungle Gardenia & Galore. I would make special trips to that store just to get those fragrances. The sales folks in the store were always trying to get me to try the Borghese cosmetics but I was already smitten with Alexandra De Markoff; but I loved this fragrance from Borghese. It is a classic Oriental & embodied everything I want in an Oriental. I remember the classic bottle on my dressing table. It was lovely. I always liked the feel of the bottle in my hand, too. I see it is available on ebay & amazon...had to bookmark this one because I sure would love to have another bottle of this one.

Class all the way. Testing an original vintage EDP I think, no label. Really interesting and different and I love it. It is pricey on ebay. Mine came as part of a lot. It is green and rich and deep and sparkling. Very interesting and unusual. It is quite strong so a dab will do. Pretty swirly bottle of sound quality too. Deep gold colour. Looks like cognac. Definately a European vibe to it also. Smells like a conservatory in an old mansion -in spring with hyacinths around a little ponds, lillies, ferns, old roses, laden with rich spiced candles. This would be a nice wedding perfume as I think it would compliment and not compete with most other flowers.

I never had this one from Borghese. Back in the 70's,a young lady wore this brand on the bus and I had to ask what was it she had on! It was "Andiamo" and there were two other fragrances too, Fiamma and Ecco in this group by Borghese. As a 21 or 22 year old I had never smelled a quality fragrance like this before, I grew up with Avon. As I mentioned, I never tried Di Borghese but Andiamo was a beautifully masterpiece of a woody green scent Fiamma was spicy hot to me as a young woman and Ecco was not your ordinary rose fragrance it was sophisticated, They all spoke "quality" and no one would dare try to guess what you had on, ever!

Olibanum narcissus blend. It's sour yet floral, and the peach isn't appearing that much as it is voted here. I can detect ylang as well with a sharp lily of the valley, oakmoss, & hyacinth. There is an oily sandalwood, with soapy jasmines. After around 10 minutes in, the lily of the valley conquers the blend with a sour olibanum, and white narcissus. Musk and cedar shows quite tiny later on but no cloves, or amber can be detected. Interesting blend but it's not a narcissus base, it is lily of the valley based blend, although it tricks at first. It's fair.

I used Di Borghese fragance in the early to mid 80's. It was always a favorite of mine. a friend introduced me to the perfum when she brought me a bottle from Spain, after that I was able to buy another one in California during a visit to some relatives but I never found it in my hometown. I love that it still available and has not been discontinued,I will buy a few bottles because I don't want to ran out of ever again. It is such a lovely aroma, and it bring wonderful memories from my youth. I am so glad I was able to find it again.

I got to experience this wonderful perfume again, thanks to curlykitty8. I can really feel the oakmoss and galbanum in this one. They don't make them like this anymore!! After it dries down on me, it resembles Chloe from 1975. I think it might be the peach, that I'm sensing. Overall, I get nuances of Revlon Scoundrel though. My mother used to wear that one in the 80's. When I put Di Borghese on, it really reminds me of my mom's Scoundrel. Great memories!!

IN THE 1970'S I WAS INTRODUCED TO A WONDERFUL PERFUME. I THINK IT WAS CALLED FIAMA OR SOMETHING CLOSE TO THAT. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND IT FOR MANY YEARS AND TODAY I LOOKED UP BORGHESE ON THE COMPUTER AND THOUGHT I WOULD ASK. DOES BORGHESE STILL CARRY THAT PERFUME? I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. Please give a nod to Fiamma, Ecco and Andiamo which still can be purchased on EBay. I would like to hear opinions about these beautiful fragrance!

Please, please, please bring this back. My favourite perfume for many years. I miss it very much. Nothing similar and nothing quite as good.

A classic chypre with all the notes listed above, except that they forgot the civet that is definitely there from the start.
