A Corps Secret

The fragrance is an absolute bomb 💣 Despite what looks like a heavy and complex pyramid, it turns out to be incredibly soft, elegant, and beautifully balanced on the skin. Juicy citruses intertwine with a gentle creamy sweetness and a touch of dry woods, creating a sense of depth and dimension. The composition feels full-bodied, airy, and very diffusive, it keeps moving and revealing new facets as it wears. It wraps you in a warm, enveloping cloud that you want to stay in for as long as possible. This scent captivates, enchants, and makes you want to catch its trail again and again 😮💨✨ A truly distinctive, beautiful, and irresistibly magnetic fragrance that is a pleasure both to wear and to experience.

So I’m wearing this today. First the power on this is something else it’s very strong. Can’t speak on how long it lasts I’m so far 5hours after spraying and it’s still projecting like I just sprayed. The scent. Starts off a bit floral but this fragrance is all about the Oud with those citruses mainly that beautiful orange. I understand the comparison to Oud Maracuja I think the Oud accord is extremely similar. But take the leather and rose out and replace it with some praline and jasmine. It’s beautiful. Be careful not to overspray it can be overbearing but 4 sprays is enough to fill the whole office not just your office. I’ll do my ratings at the end of the day.

Unique and beautiful! Opening of bright citrus, mainly mandarin/orange, light florals and spice, drying down creamy and with a little sweetness from that praline/vanilla. Oud and orange are at the forefront but the oud here isn't skanky or animalic, instead quite soft and smooth, really unique and complex scent I'm so in love with it. Longevity is amazing as usual with these extraits, 12+ hours on skin and days on clothes, keep the sprays to 1-2 max.. projection is great. You could wear this year round but it would shine best in the fall! 9/10

Love the red bottle oud line from this brand. This one is a close cousin, with light-ish oud (compared to Oud Candy, my fav) and a nice citrus/floral mid and slight woody/vanilla base. Testing from a 5ml sample. Plan to get a full bottle soon. Solid projection and noticable longevity after a 8-9 hour work day.

Corpse Secret is a very unusual composition. The opening is dominated by some citrus, saffron, and a smooth, dry bark-like accord that gives it a woody character. It’s interesting at first, but as it develops there’s a particular note in the base that quickly starts catching my attention. The smell felt oddly familiar, but I couldn’t place it straight away. Eventually it clicked — it reminded me strongly of Avastan, which has that distinctive mineral, clay-like character. Out of curiosity, I checked the official BTSO note breakdown, and there it was: concrete. Unfortunately, that concrete accord ends up being too prominent for my taste. On my skin it pushes past the other notes and becomes the dominant impression, which takes away from what could otherwise have been a more balanced composition. I don’t dislike it, and I can certainly appreciate the artistic intent behind it. But at this price point (£££), it’s not something I’d personally wear often enough to justify owning. The fact that I was very close to blind buying this is probably a good reminder: with fragrances this experimental, sampling first is always the wiser move. PS: It’s not as beast-mode or room-filling as some others have suggested — at least not to my nose.

Pleasantly surprised with this one. Fruity Oud is my favorite category of fragrances, and this fits into that. It’s crazy to say it but there’s nothing natural about the smell of this fragrance, in the best way possible, from the moment you spray this you get hit with a lot of synthetic smelling fruity notes, saffron and a very refined leathery oud. To my nose this smells like a grape candy with a leather base. Nuclear performance btw, eternal longevity and this thing projects for like 5 straight hours before it goes down a little bit so be very careful with the sprays.

Another alarm-style fragrance from BTSO. I find the signature very close to Purple Stain in its orange facet and this idea of an orange oud. I’d say the note is slightly more floral and spiced than that one. In terms of floral character, I also detect some technical elements reminiscent of the orange-rosy nuance in Blue Talisman, which gives it volume and projection. As for the base, it’s that powerful, long-lasting “sauce” base in the style of Jordi—leathery, warmly spicy, and slightly gourmand.

I just smelled this and it’s unlike anything I’ve smelled before. It’s definitely on the sweeter side, yet the florals balance the citrus notes beautifully. I am a big fan on the safraleine flower note (it adds a bit of creaminess) and the cinnamon + praline? Gorgeous. It’s also very woody but not smoky (thank goodness) just enough to break through the sweetness. It’s definitely a fragrance I can see myself wearing in the winter, around Christmas. Opened Fragrantica and the first article I see is about two new perfumes from Korean brand called Organ Tale. Then the next thing that catches my eye is this yellow bottle called A Corps Secret. No secret then... the organ went away to tell its tale. One can only laugh at this point 😂

This has piqued my interest. Placeholder for a later review once it's readily available for sampling.

This brand is on a new release rampage. So hard to keep up!

Might be a banger orange fragrance.
