Angels' Powder

It smells a bit like SoraDora Mallow, sans the violets. This blend of raspberry, heliotrope, a "nail polish" accord (which IS point blank like nail polish for the first minute or two on skin!), and sweet aromachemicals is so doll like & beautiful... I honestly love it. It's as if I dusted myself in finely crushed, super-concentrated sweet tarts candy powder. It brings me joy to smell so sweet, feminine, toy-like. I don't find it cloying at all, and I do find it prettier than even Mallow, which I love too for the powdery violet. My personal favorite out of the Dirty & Sticky discovery set! When I think something "niche" Angel's Powder is INCREDIBLY niche... A prime example of what niche is supposed to be, an APEX niche for the girl, or bottom, who grew up in the 90s & 00s; and the smell is addictive as all get out. Let the haters hate, for they simply do not understand. Smartie loves 💕 Editing a year later because after going through a few 5mls from scent split I couldn't bear to part with this scent memory and went ahead and got myself a full bottle. I always want this smell on the ready for the nostalgia and sugar cravings! I'll never be without a bottle of this oddly beautiful and addicting fragrance. Love. Love. L💕VEEE.

I have wanted to try this one since hearing the notes - and glad I did. It does not smell as I expected it to - but this scent is so interesting - different from any gourmand I've smelled. Don't be put off by the nail polish note - it presents more as an aldehyde note which fades within 5 minutes on the skin - but does seem to help carry its staying power. This smells so familiar to me from my childhood, but so so hard to place. I've finally landed on the mix of smells it gives. It smells like the Hubba Bubba cotton candy bubble tape mixed with those blackberry and raspberry candies - the ones that are gummy on the inside and crunchy sprinkles on the outside - and a spritz of the gummy bear body spray on top. May smell too strong on yourself when you first try and steer you away - but give it a go spraying on a t-shirt and putting it in a place you walk past in the house - the whif you'll get when you walk past is delicious.

this one is so personal to me...smells like littlest pet shop heads and the aisles at toys r us. also weirdly evokes images of girlsgogames.com and those my scene doll dress up games we played in the 2000s. but if anyone remembers club libby lu at the mall it reminds me of that THE MOST. specifically the potion bar. just a messy magical mix of nail polish, glitter, lip gloss and hairspray. i think i will wear this whenever i feel like reliving the most girliest part of my girlhood. she's carefree and joyous and obnoxious as hell but does not care one bit because she feels so cute. too bad the sweat tour already happened or i definitely would've worn this. surely this will not be for everyone but if ur into that go crazy...perfect for y2k babies and nostalgia freaks bought a full bottle because i'm insane

I adore this. The idea of a nail polish note drew me in, but the cotton candy/raspberry/musk combo is the real star of this. Reminds me a lot of the cotton candy note in Mugler Angel. The sugariness stays the whole way through, with a really lovely and surprisingly subtle fruity-musky drydown. Exactly as interesting and unusual as you would expect from a fragrance apparently inspired by nail polish and cocaine, but also completely wearable and easy on the nose. And much like its inspirations, it is absolutely addictive. I couldn't stop smelling myself and a friend I was with was also in love with it. I'm not known to wear super "girly" fragrances - which I agree with other commenters this is - but this is so pretty and I know I'll be wearing it a lot.

got a sample of this and i think im in love. ive only been able to find this in 50ml / 1.7 fl oz for ~$200 and its a bummer because if it came in a half size i could justify owning an actual bottle. its absolutely synthetic and chemical-ish on first sniff, definitely enough to turn most people away, but i like that about it. its nostalgic and fashion-forward at the same time. i adore it for how bold it is, but being so bold i cant see myself reaching for it very often. as i said, if this came in a smaller bottle to use for those certain occasions, id purchase it in a heartbeat. when the top note of nail polish mellows out, youre left with raspberry and cotton candy, still with that little sting to it. its strangely addictive.

fun spooky carnival fragrance with depth and a bit of eerieness. the notes that really stand out to me are nail polish (moreso a weird chemical scent.. in a good way!), raspberry, cotton candy, vanilla and musk. i like heliotrope perfumes, but it kinda fades in the background here. there's not the astronomical amount of sweetness which i was expecting, but rather a warm and powdery, saccharine feel. not nauseating, not exactly date vibes, smells actually like a day at a theme park or carnival or circus. powdered and drizzled as far as gourmands go. i'm definitely purchasing the full bottle and intrigued with btso fragrances now but my assumption is anything from this fragrance house should not be blind bought.

Quirky done right. Reminds me a lot in vibe of Toskovat’s Age of Innocence—it is a girly pop with cotton candy and sweet berries with some oud and a special sauce in the form of a highly synthetic note thrown into the mix deliberately. In Age of Innocence it is rubber and gasoline, in Angel’s Powder it is nail polish. It is sweet on the verge of being a little cloying, a nail polish note is harsh and realistic, cuts through the composition making it stand out from your average gourmands. Imagine a pastel pink doll with a scar that goes across her face and ends up being a unique feature. A very interesting bold wear with (as usual for BTSO) decent projection and longevity.

I have been looking for a super sugary, sweet fragrance that makes my teeth hurt. This may be the one. I immediately picked up on the cotton candy, with a little bit of nail polish. I think that the pink pepper does a good job of toning down the chemical smell of the nail polish. After drying down, it still smells like cotton candy, but a little creamier and a bit powdery. This fragrance knocked it out of the park for me. This reminds me of being a kid and painting my nails with my mom after she would spray herself with sugary sweet body spray. I am also really impressed with the silage, as I was able to smell it behind me after turning around a few times today.

she goes crazy. absolute insanity. this is how i imagine the colour pink to smell like. she's tacky, very synthetic and very sweet but it somehow just works and it's incredible. the chemical fumes of nail polish are there, but to me it comes off as more like hairspray. cloying, but is balanced out perfectly by the sugary notes. vaguely powdery. i get the raspberry, but it's faint. to me, the most prominent note is bubblegum. a very childlike scent, but very fun! would not recommend to anyone who dislikes powdery sweetness, because i feel like this scent can be too much for a Lot of people, even if you like sweet scents. definitely one of my faves

tried it out today at the local fragrance store and i fell in love! i’m REALLY into sweet powdery smells so this is a perfect match for me. kind of reminds me Prada Candy, but it lasts much longer and has a chemical note which is totally ok with me, but for some people it will cause headaches. it’s totally suitable for colder seasons, because I think in summer it can be suffocative. at first you feel sweet powder with a bit of chemical, nail polish smell, but after a while it wears off and you only feel very powdery sweetness. i would describe it as a gentle punch in the face, if it makes any sense

this perfume is what i longed for my childhood to be. its plasticky and sweet and powdery and reminds of having to pirate adventure time and ending up with a few viruses on my tablet when i was 9 i wish i had something poetic to say so i can make it onto that one instagram page that posts fragrantica reviews my goal of getting on there reminds me of how younger me would dream that i'll find a full episode of adventure time without getting my tablet hacked in short, buy this perfume if you wanna reminisce and smell really really good while doing it

i LOVEEEEE this. this feels so like . teenager trying to be trashy for the first time as a form of rebellion. i loveeee the sweetness combined with the pepper and the chemical smell in the nail polish!! i really do love the plasticky parts of it, again it feels so juvenile and fun, i like wearing this when i know im gonna get sloppy drunk. the heliotrope also adds some rlly beautiful depth and complexity to it, i love it i love it i LOVE ITTT.

This is SO girly and weird! Sweet, sugary and sharp from the nail polish note. It’s fun but also edgy. At first sniff, it’s sugar and raspberry and cotton candy. Then the acidic nail polish comes through and it’s like, “huh... there’s something different about this...” It’s NOT an edible cotton candy but that’s what I love about it! Projection and longevity are great as well. NEED a FB in my collection!

i get straight raspberry cotton candy though this is my first wear so i'll add more later. to my nose i don't detect nail polish at all it's vanilla sugar and raspberry cotton candy and pink pepper! it's quite loud from initial impressions i sprayed a tiny bit on my arm and it is radiating and wafting all around me and its so damn good!

The first perfume I’ve ever smelled from this brand and I think I’m in love. It’s so sweet and comforting. Smells quite nostalgic. It’s powdery but not sickly. Very surprised about the nail polish note, I would never have detected it, but it’s not off-putting at all. It’s wonderful and the longevity on these perfumes is fantastic.

@jmarie do buy at least a 50ml, you will not be disappointed! I got a great deal on an unsealed in box bottle for just over $100 off Lucky Scent 💕. This stuff never fails to put me in a happy place. Like Lisa Frank designs, cupcake sprinkles, and a fuschia pink tie dye explosion of happiness- all bottled up ☺️

I have to say this is my current favorite scent ever, and I don’t care if some seem to dislike it, for me it’s very original, a bit nostalgic and futuristic, but also not that sweet as everyone mentions. I want to have it forever, and hopefully it will be available forever

Smelling this reminded me of those rainbow sugar candy that came in tall straws. This is like fairy dust but not in the ethereal and whimsical sort, I mean if Kesha was a fae and painted my nails in exchange for my spleen or something.

Just try a sample of it. The first thing comes to my mind is the nail polish, but the smell is a little bit heavy for me. Then the cotton candy and musk work very well. It makes me sniff my hand a lot. Like it. Wanna cop a full bottle

smells like one of those icecreams you would get from an icecream truck, almost a snowcone. sweet and a really prominent raspberry and vanilla sugar note. though i do believe it can come off as nauseating

This smells like a sweet scented doll i used to have as a child so it's very nostalgic to me. The price is very high though i mean it's almost 200 euro for 50ml and there is no known dupe for it.

It’s weird, like, very weird. The nail polish scent, the overly sugary scent, I shouldn’t like this at all. But I couldn’t stop smelling my hand, it’s addictive AF. I really like it.

angels’ powder is one of those fragrances that makes you stop for a second because it smells like nothing you’ve worn... yet somehow everything you remember. it’s weird, whimsical, and wildly nostalgic, like opening a childhood toy box and finding a puff of pink powder and cotton candy trapped inside. the opening hits with an unmistakable nail-polish sparkle. it’s glossy, plasticky in a strangely comforting way, like the scent of brand-new dolls or fresh markers from a school fair. sugar and pink pepper dance around it, adding this fizzy sweetness that feels like strawberry lip gloss and glitter stickers. then the heart arrives, and suddenly it’s cotton candy clouds, raspberry syrup, and vanilla sugar, which is soft, innocent, and a little chaotic in the cutest way. it melts into the skin like a memory you didn’t know you still had: afternoons at the arcade, childhood birthdays, cotton-candy fingers sticking to everything. as it dries down, the white musk and heliotrope wrap everything in a powdery haze, with a whisper of guaiac wood grounding the whole experience. it’s soft, creamy, almost plush, like pressing your face into a powdered teddy bear wearing a tiny tutu. this perfume feels like the girl who collects sanrio notebooks, wears pastel fuzzy sweaters, and still keeps her favorite childhood charm bracelet in a drawer “just because.” it’s sweet but not basic, powdery but not dusty, and playfully plasticky in a way that feels deliberate. angels’ powder is not your typical girly scent; it’s a memory, a sugar-coated daydream with an offbeat twist. it is definitely strange and not a daily scent, but that’s exactly what makes it unforgettable

This smells so shockingly similar to Love Don’t Be Shy, that I think Kilian could nearly have a copyright infringement case on their hands. That being said, Angels’ Powder is equally fantastic, but more feminine and with such elevated sugar levels that it almost induces diabetes. This is the color of pink and bubblegum pop. A hot pink sugar rush and kick to the head. If this scent were a movie, it’d be Legally Blonde in a bottle. I can vividly detect the individual notes of the nail polish, the sugar, the raspberries, the white musk, and I can damn well smell the cotton candy. Like nail polish itself, good luck scrubbing this scent off yourself without an actual polish remover – the staying power is remarkable, and this stuff clings and wraps itself to your skin like wet cotton candy. Angels’ Powder is lovely, but so hyperglycemic and tooth-achingly sweet that I can’t imagine it being an everyday scent. BTSO has labeled this as unisex but, nah, this fragrance leans wildly more feminine...actually, I take that back, it is straight-up feminine. I don’t know if a guy could pull this off, but I want to try nonetheless. In five words of less: Sugar rush to the head.

This is super intensely sweet and dense, like licking all the powdered sugar off a doughnut. It also has a caramel-y vibe to it, which paired with the vanilla-sweet powderiness remind me of Prada Candy a little. This is way, way more pungent though thanks to the guaiac wood and "nail polish" - but I don't say this is a bad thing! It just serves as an unexpected twist. If you like experimental scents like Zoologist etc and love super sweet perfumes there's a good chance you'd like this. As is usually the case with these ultra-synthetic (again, not a bad thing, some of us vibe with it) smelling perfumes, the longevity is amazing! I keep forgetting to take note of when I apply this but today I've been wearing it for about 7 hours so far and it's got several more hours in it yet. Now, the cons: I feel like I unfortunately picked this up at a bad time of year. Angels' Powder is playful & fun but it feels too intense for warmer weather, and I'm in the UK so it's not even actually hot yet! I need to come back to this in a couple of months and see how I feel about it as a cooler-weather scent.

Sampling Borntostandout Angels’ Powder, my first try of the Dirty & Sticky discovery set, a sweet and powdery blend defined by a peculiar mix of cotton candy, vanilla sugar, and nail polish, with the sweet and sharp elements playing against the rather chemical acerbic concept of nail polish, with additional supporting notes of pink pepper and heliotrope to add character. Predictably a bit sharper/headier/more powdery in the opening and smoother, sweeter, a bit creamier in the dry down, I quite prefer the more tempered feeling of the dry down to the more provocative opening, but it’s the opening that feels a bit more unique to me. I quite enjoy its creativity, even if I’m doubt it’s something I would wear with any frequency over a more mainstream vanilla/sugar. As with the rest of the line, this is EDP concentration and is priced at $210/85 for 50/15ml, sold via a few boutiques in the US like Ministry of Scent. It performs very well, adding to its value, and overall the pricing is not bad for niche perfumery. 7 out of 10

The charm of this scent is that it's one of the, if not THE sweetest fragrance on the market right now. It's almost identical to Sora Dora's Mallow to my nose, but minus the violet note. With Mallow it was love at first sniff for me and I had to have it. When I got it, I noticed I tended not to wear it, which was weird to me. I ended up decluttering it and don't regret it. Now, here I am with a 15ml of Angels' Powder; why an earth did I repurchase this scent profile? Because I LOVE S.W.E.E.T. and I figured it would be great layered with Kayali's Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, one of my favourite scents ever or anything else that needs an extra dose of sugar, which I just crave sometimes. None of this is rational, I'm old but want to smell like a teen. Oh and this is S.T.R.O.N.G. and massively projects. Reasonably long lasting as well. This won't appeal to everyone, but if you're a fan of super artificial, perfumey, vividly coloured sweets, probably made in Japan, then get your nose on it.

Okay. Hear me out. This is what Annabel's Birthday Cake from Marissa Zappas should have been. Or at least... it's what I wanted it to be. Angels' Powder is interestingly nostalgic, combining an odd plasticky varnishy note with something like vanilla scented makeup powder. Smells like... well... latex balloons and vanilla cake. I get more "plastic" than nail varnish, but this is so reminiscent of being a young girl and dabbling in makeup and body sprays for the first time and having that all mix together into something sickeningly sweet. Imagine it's 2005 and you're getting ready to go to your 13th birthday party. You're painting your nails a bright pink, spraying cotton candy body spray, and patting setting powder on your face all at one time. That's what this is, and honestly? It's done quite well.

This and Burberry Her Elixir are my go to scents when I'm feeling like a Barbie. Also very fitted on a Wednesday, since on Wednesdays we wear pink (mean girls). Yes, there is some nail polish note, but it is masterfully blended and just gives an edge to this perfume making it more unique and standout. However, primarily it is a sweet cotton candy scent and it will get you compliment. It is almost as sweet as Evasion Bonbon by Maison Mataha (but overall they are not similar). If you like the scent of Angel's Powder but are afraid of the nail polish note concept, I highly suggest trying a more demure version in a similar vein - Powder Love by Juliette Has A Gun. Performance is very good, both silage and lasting power. Compliments are also there 😉

Angels’ Powder is a fun Haribo red strawberry gummy type of scent. There are fleeting moments when Angels’ Powder reminds me of Mallow with the violet, musk and lead pencil shavings but only in the first 10 minutes then again at sporadic moments throughout its wear. It also reminds me of a powdery-pink version of Acqua e Zucchero. Angels’ Powder projects for the first 2 hours then fades away to nothing during the final 3 hours. After this, I can only smell it in my scarf. My scarf smells like a little girls’ princess playhouse with plastic ponies and scattered Haribo. I prefer it to Mallow due to the juicy red gummy aspect, I just wish it lasted longer.

I haven't tried this on me, but my wife wears Angel's Powder sometimes, and I love it. She just left the room leaving a trail of plastic toys and the non-gross aspect of nail polish. I think the 'musk' is too low on the Fragrantica page list (for me) because I feel it's quite musk heavy. I do get pink peppercorn in the opening giving the scent a lift, but I don't get raspberry. This is a playful, fun, everyday, any occasion kind of fragrance. I wouldn't call it particularly feminine, but then again, I don't really follow those rules. Cute, playful, slightly gourmand, slightly sickly musk. Love it. Edit: I wear this when I'm dressed in pink.

This is surprisingly good. I thought it was a bit meh at first, but as I was wearing it, I kept getting whifs of myself and really enjoying it! This definitely has that artificially sweet Borntostandout DNA, and I do get the vanilla, heliotrope, sugar and cotton candy. The nail polish note perplexes me, because I don't smell that at all, and that's not something I find even remotely pleasant. To me this is really quite pleasing and mass-appealing, as long as you like sweet scents. I think if you like other scents from the house like Sugar Addict, Indecent Cherry and Dirty Heaven, you will also enjoy Angels' Powder.

Addictive This is like eating cotton candy in a nail salon in the best way possible, sweet addicting and very wearable considering its notes. A cotton candy fragrance at its core which comes off sweet and airy along with a sharp nail polish accord that becomes super addicting, in the base I mainly get musk and a powdery-ness which I assume is coming from the heliotrope. Does lean slightly feminine but ofc men can wear this too. Longevity is around 6 hours and projections decent, Don't wear too many sprays or it can become quite sickly feeling. 7/10

this is easily the best cotton candy fragrance i've smelled! prior to this i was worried that's just a note that i hate, but this smells like the best you could get from a nice fair <3 the nail polish note is there but very understated. not sure i can justify buying a full bottle when the sillage is meh and the longevity is just average, but if it performed stronger i definitely would. in mean girls when she said "you smell like a baby prostitute," this is what she would have been wearing (complimentary!) overall rating: 🩷🩷🩷💔🖤 3.5/5

I used to accompany my mom when she was visiting her local nail salon when I was young. I loved to go, especially because the atmosphere always smelled clean/cotton candy like, but I was never able to figure out what was the cause of that specific scent. Angel’s Powder smells exactly like that! So when I first tried it, I was having quite vivid flashbacks of those times <3 I don’t think I would necessarily wear this perfume, it’s overpoweringly sweet for my taste, but artistically it’s amazing.

Sampled on paper, yes it’s dominantly a nail polish type note, with sugar and thick gummies, and a lil pink pepper (more scent than spice). As someone who actually keeps nail polish to huff it I wanna say the note is quite similar, but not totally authentic (at least to my bottles). There is also even that lifting sensation in your head you get from sniffing this fragrance that you also get when you sniff real nail polish, so that’s accurate. Cool, wouldn’t buy but I like it

extremely sweet and chemical. i don’t hate it but i don’t particularly love it either. the initial spray was really a shock to my system. very very spicy, abrasive, but also deliciously sweet from the cotton candy note. plasticky and sweet, like toy makeup for little girls. kind of giving me a headache. *it takes a while to develop and settle but when it does the waft is very divine and appealing. however the scent will not leave my skin. i think it might last forever.

I was actually shocked when I found out about nail polish notes in this fragrance! It is not so annoying and unique, the scent reminds childhood, with cotton candy notes and sugar. By the way, fragrance is not very sweet as sugar addict one. I liked it but probably would not buy myself as I love different scents but I would recommend this perfume especially for teenage girls or women who like to smell like candy shop ( in a good way, of course )

What a treat! This opens like nail polish once you’ve finished you're set and you’re trying not to smudge it. The nail polish comes through strong on me and I love it. Even in the dry down it never went away. It was like an icy, chemical, cotton candy memory. Very sweet and synthetic in the best way. After hour 4 it got a bit cloying, though. Impressive sillage and longevity here. Happy to test, would not purchase a full bottle.

At first, the nail polish and especially the pink pepper really almost turned me off since it was way too spicy. Once it started to develop more, it started to smell like sugary raspberry and cotton candy with maybe just a little bit of spiciness, yay ^_^! It's very cute, and reminds me of another perfume I have (Yumewata by J-scent). They smell pretty different, but I feel like its her older sister 🩷

Looking at the notes, I thought I would hate it. It’s not really my usual scent profile. I expected it to be sickly sweet and juvenile. And yes, it is definitely sweet, but it’s addictive and evokes a sense of nostalgia, like a fragrant memory from the past. It’s the kind of scent I don’t necessarily want to wear, but I love smelling. Longevity is fantastic on me.

Not sure if the display for this was aged or something but I'm getting barely any of the notes. To me this read way more as a powdery sweet, possibly even with a warm spiced profile. I liked it, it's interesting, but I think they have better scents

I have to say it's not quite as malicious and fucked up as I hoped it would be. Fun, though. I might gift it to a woman in my life if I find one that wants to smell like she has serious problems and thinks she's Ramona Flowers.

It’s cute. It’s sweet. The nail polish on me is more like eyeliner shavings but it does evoke a late 90s early 20s makeup era so I get what it’s doing. Enjoyable and easy to wear
