“Christmas Market In a Bottle” Black Crème by Borntostandout® smells like the aftermath of a gothic, candle-lit Halloween soirée. Not the party itself, but the moment after. The wax still warm, leather jackets lingering in the air, sweetness melted into smoke. It is unmistakably dark, indulgent, and deeply sensual. What strikes first is a burning candle accord, thick with waxy warmth, immediately establishing a heavy, swoon-worthy atmosphere. The composition feels dense and luxurious, almost tactile. It is so rich and creamy that it provokes an almost physical response. Salivating is not an exaggeration. This is decadence rendered in scent. It contributes depth rather than character, its origin deliberately obscured. Iris and vanilla form the stabilizing axis of the composition, lending elegance and polish, while sandalwood smooths the edges further. This may be the creamiest perfume I have ever encountered. Not sweet-cream, but velvet-cream. Silky, seamless, and impossibly smooth. Every note feels melted into the next, with no sharp transitions, no abrasion. Describing the intent behind Black Crème is challenging. At its heart, this is a gourmand for gourmand lovers. Yet it smells like nothing you would ever eat. It is indulgent without being literal, decadent without being playful. A delicacy and a puzzle at the same time. More atmosphere than dessert. More place than object. If comparisons must be drawn, it feels like a creamier evolution of Fugazzi. Stripped of the original’s dirty-clean tension and sharpened edges, leaving behind a darker, more enveloping core. Black Crème feels settled, confident, and complete. It is rare, beautiful, and genuinely distinctive. Ever since discovering Fugazzi, my fascination with Borntostandout® has only deepened. The brand consistently delivers daring compositions that feel thoughtfully obsessed over, not trend-driven. In spirit, they recall Comme des Garçons, but with a broader range and a palpable sense of excess. High-yielding formulas, unapologetic ideas, and a house clearly intoxicated by its own craft. This isn't just a fragrance for me, it's what happens when a billionaire's cashmere sweater falls into a campfire behind the Hotel Yellowstone ski lodge in Jackson Hole. It's the official scent of arriving in a G4, putting on a $2,200 cowboy hat, and telling everyone I'm "roughing it" from a heated chalet with a wine cellar, sauna, and six guest bathrooms. My interpretation of the notes include: Burnt artisanal saddleback leather that has never seen a horse; Charred vanilla from a $27 s'more served on reclaimed barn wood; JH standard spa boutique melting candle wax; Smoked cream infused with the tears of trust-fund ski instructors; and A faint accord of "my ranch manager handles that." This will be my signature scent during next week's Aspen Food & Wine Festival because I want strangers to wonder whether I just finished branding my western slope cattle or closed on a $40 million vacation home overlooking the Tetons. Either way, my boots are made for walkin' and that's just what they'll do; one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over manure. I'm going to layer with Olfiction's Petrolhead during the daytime and The Nose' Stercus during the evening. Yippee ki yay yuppie mother f'ers.

Black Crème immediately feels different from the moment it touches the skin. Technically, it's an extrait with a remarkably high concentration of oils, and it shows. The texture is dense, rich and unmistakably luxurious. Add to that its limited production batches, and it already feels like something special before the fragrance even begins its journey. But what keeps me coming back is the drydown. Hours later, after everything has settled, a beautiful layer of caramel and sandalwood remains. Smooth, warm and quietly addictive. Not overly sweet, not heavy, just present. The kind of scent you keep catching throughout the day and genuinely enjoy every single time. What I appreciate most is its balance. Rich without excess. Distinctive without trying too hard. Of everything I've tried from BTSO so far, this may be my favorite. Not because it stays the longest. But because of how it stays. That final layer of caramel and sandalwood never feels tired, heavy or repetitive. It simply lingers with grace. A reminder that longevity is not measured in hours. Bedtime story time @ElleLLL. Once upon a perfume ball, Amouage Guidance 46 floated in like Cinderella: all pear silk, rose chiffon, and vanilla sandalwood sparkle. Heads turned. Strings played. She was the elegant main character. AND THEN through the side door, chewing bubblegum and wearing last night’s eyeliner, Black Crème strutted in. She’s technically the stepsister, but she’ll tell you she’s the main character of the after-party. She’s got a leather jacket over a whipped-cream white dress, a splash of succulent blackcurrant like lip gloss, and the faint whiff of “this whiskey fever dream seemed like a good idea at 11 p.m.” trailing behind her. When the clock struck midnight, Cinderella left behind a perfectly shaped sandalwood trail. The stepsister, on the hand, left behind a leather glove, three empty espresso martini glasses, and an exes current girlfriends' phone number. Moral: One’s the ballgown moment. The other is the after-party. Footnote: Blanche Bête is the step-mother while Teriaq Intense and JPG Le Male Pride are the other two 'step-sisters.' Spoiler: Quentin Bisch is the father.

Black Creme Oriental Vanilla / Uni. This is a safe blind buy- a deep & sweet floral sweetness is in front of the leather, supported by the vanilla. This is very nice- something I can definitely overspray! Yet I won’t because of the price. 😆. Today it is rainy out, 40*. Yet this feels as though it is AYR, except only summer nights in hot weather maybe. I do wish that the leather was a little more pronounced or 1:1 with the sweetness because this leather smells good. It reminds me of real soft buttery leather from back in the day when the sweet smell rubbed off as you touched it or moved around. I want more of that. The sweetness is not just floral but with prune / date fruit. The scent is mostly intimate / small bubble. I can’t stop smelling myself. You don’t t have to literally bring your arm to your nose to smell this- the scent radiates on its own and it’s stronger when you move around. It’s not completely smooth- you will smell different aspects of the scent profile as you are in motion or you will smell the unified scent when you aren’t in motion.

It’s smells odd. The candle wax and milk note sticks throughout for sure. Smells more like crayons after almost a hour. I wouldn’t buy and idk how I’d wear it. Second review: upon giving us a second and third test, I recant my entire statement. This is probably one of the better creations from BTSO. The notes are crafted so well together that not one single note overpowers the other. It does all the things that a gourmand needs to do. it’s sweet, decadent, and not too cloying which is also a major plus. If I had to say the note that I could smell the most if I really had to decide would be caramel and maybe the candle wax, or at least reminds me of candle wax. I’m switching my rating to love simply because I can and will be buying a full-size bottle of this.

THE MOST LEGITIMATE REVIEW on here cuz im tired of all the bull**** people are typing. I own this fragrance (I blind bought it cuz its quentin bisch). This to my experienced mature nose smells like a dark vanilla (probably from the leather and oud) with a hint of a candle wax vibe. Its surprisingly not a very unique fragrance,. i feel like i smelt something similar to this but i cant put my mind to it. I am unsure about the sillage but i can tell u this lasts long, its still on my skin even after a shower which is expected from an extrait.

Honestly with my experience with borntostandout it’s rare for them to stay on theme and this one really delivers on the name I can smell the crème and it does have the dark appeal I really liked the waxy note cuz it really pulled it together and honestly the caramel isn’t all that noticeable which was a win nonetheless overall loved it creamy waxy powdery dark and a tad bit musky

definitely smells like a purple flower, although i thought maybe orchid or violet but i was close enough. this is nice but faint, very soft which is perfectly encapsulated by the ‘creme’ in the name. probably inherently feminine but i think it’s neutral enough to work as a soft masculine scent. beautifully done!

This is a erfect example of why you should never trust reviews on this website. It’s well blended dark,sweet, leather, oud, iris and spices. Reminds of other Bisch creations, if you like his other perfumes, you’ll enjoy this one. Performance is very strong, both in projection and longjevity.

This smells like creamy leather boots somehow. It is persistent and confident. On the masculine side of unisex - I’ll be layering some vanilla to it. More excellent perfumery from BTSO. The price point is high, but what is money anymore anyway.

Love this but smells familiar ; not sure if this smells like teriaq intense or one of the BTSOD perfumes but I cant particularly remember which one. teriaq intense unfortunately gives me a skin rash, this one doesn't.

This is an incredibly high-quality fragrance with a 55–62% oil concentration, aged in a traditional Korean earthenware jar (Onggi). It is one of the crown jewels of my collection!.👍🤗👌 Borntostandout, Black Créme

I’ve been really enjoying Black Crème — it’s a smooth, comforting scent with this delicious creamy dry down. After a while, a soft leather note comes through, giving it a little edge without being too heavy.

This smells like Amor Amor by Cacharel with added leather and rich sweetness. I’m obsessed, but not at that price for a 50ml.

This one is ridiculously good and addictive. Even more so than Purole Stain. Both 10/10

Black Creme from BORNTOSTANDOUT by Perfumer Quentin Bisch is certainly something you don't come across often in respect to the fragrance notes. Candle wax....these Givaudan Perfumers are almost becoming mad scientists with their captives and unique accords. To my nose on my skin Black Creme legitimately had the texture of candle wax. As I've mentioned before BTSO is a hit or miss fragrance house to me. This is true niche perfumery and I would expect nothing less from Quentin Bisch. The heart and base of this fragrance was less challenging with a warm vanillic sweetness that was both radiant and very long lasting due to the extremely high concentration of perfume oils. While this may not be my favorite from the BTSO Extrait Extrême collection, this might be the most artistic approach in the lineup in my opinion.

Instantly reminded me of side effect, im suprised no one else mentioned it It is quite complex but has prominent note of waxy honey/cinnamon/caramel like sweetness and undertones of iris vanilla oud leather amber

5/10 Leather, machine grease & herbaceous (licorice vibes to my nose) combine into an almost sharp, rubber tire smell. All the while it balances a deep, lactonic and creamy vanilla in the background. While not a fragrance for me, it's a very thoughtful composition. I can see this be worn to big events by someone who likes to feel cozy and powerful - pretentious celebrity smell. Very few occasions I'd see myself wearing this which is a big part of my "fragrance barometer" to determine if it's worth it to me. This one is not. It has that contrast all these BTSO black releases have between something "traditional" and something aggressively dark. Unfortunately, it didn't develop into something I liked on my skin becoming a bit too cloying. This fragrance is a Victoria's Secret model working as a shop mechanic doing all the oil and brake changes and then coming home to freshen up with only a vanilla body mist. I do think someone out there could rock this as a signature scent, but highly recommend a sample first.

Oh lord, this is a LOT of leather and iris.. Smells like if every inch of a Boot Barn was covered in baby powder?? It’s not a BAD smell so to say, on the right guy this could be really attractive but unfortunately on my skin I didn’t get any vanilla, spice or amber like I was hoping.

soooo impressed and obsessed with this. such a beautiful and unique leather that gets a really interesting character/profile from the candle wax note. easily in my top 2 for leathers and is currently my #1... i normally hate leather perfumes too. i haven’t smelled a lot of the scents people are referencing this too, but to me it’s like if warm bulb, sanctuaria (la botica) and nostalgia (kismet) had a hot sexy goth child. definitely a bit darker so i can understand the masculine comments as well as fall/winter appeal... however this is so beautiful and signature scent worthy to me that i would wear year round/any time of day. only got a sample of this but will 100% be purchasing a full bottle when the funds are in.... longevity and projection are insane too. most of what i’ve tried from BTSO has been good on this, but this one has excelled. i’ve also noticed that i haven’t gone nose blind to this nearly as fast, if at all when compared to other perfumes. i work in perfume so am often going nose blind sooner vs later, but this has somehow managed to project to my nose almost (if not) all day long. i hate the price but without even having bought a full bottle yet, it is 100% worth it.

This was a blind buy for me. What can I say? I’m a Quintin fan, and I read the notes and figured I’d enjoy it. Although Cherry isn’t listed as a note, it immediately reminded me of a combination of Cherry Punk, Lost Cherry, and Ombré Leather-all of which I own and love. I am still glad I have this one now, too, though. Some might say it’s masculine leaning, but I will wear anything that smells good regardless. It’s a perfect addition to my collection and will be fabulous for cold winter days. Quintin does it again!

Opulent, dark and western. This transports me to a Lucchese boutique. Exotic rich high quality leather and wood. They also have candles, wool, fur and cashmere items and offer cognac or whiskey while you shop; and this fragrances exudes all of those things. Of course there is a faint lactonic element in this fragrance that is just enough to make you crave a latte after dropping 1k on some classic western boots. Amazing.

An absolute delicatessen! Avant garde but also nostalgic. Sweet, creamy, candied leather, and very oily on skin. Does not absorb, so be mindful when spraying. Beast mode, I was told this filled the entire building at work. I sprayed a 2ml sample to test. Ordered a fb the next day. Now I wanna try the rest of the same bottles. 15 out of 10. I love this stuff! Can’t wait to wear to a concert or date night.

Sweet leather. Black currant or some.. berry. Reminds me strongly of some designer fragrance but I can't quite place it, maybe it's angel's share, maybe some tom ford. A boozy quality, though it doesn't have a definite whiskey smell or anything. Definitely not getting any milk.
