Golden Milk

I tested Golden Milk on my skin because there were no testing papers and no one there to help. As soon as I sprayed it, I honestly wanted to wash it off. The opening is creamy and lactonic, but not in a nice glass-of-milk way. It was more like, who left the milk out all night? At first, it has this odd warm milk smell, almost like condensed milk mixed with something darker and slightly suspicious. It is not an easy opening, and I can see it being very divisive. The drydown is much nicer on me. Once it settles, it becomes a soft vanilla musk with a creamy sweetness underneath. I almost get the impression of oud mixed with condensed milk, even if that may not be exactly what is listed in the notes. It has a warm, musky, slightly woody depth that stops it from being just a sweet milky gourmand. This is not a safe or easy creamy scent. It is weird, and the opening was genuinely difficult for me, but the drydown is where it starts to work. It becomes smoother, softer, and much more wearable.

Addictive!!!! I didn’t read much about the brand before testing so I saw myself saying stuff like... this surely isn’t mass appealing, these scents are so realistic almost edible type of vibe !!! It felt like a scent immersive experience where everything smelt exactly like what it was meant to be !!! Chocolate, milk, everything smells 3D!!! Then the sales assistant started saying yup everything I just said was what the brand is all about... born to stand out and not follow the masses !!!!!! But this yeah it’s addictive I realised it’s not going to be for everyone and you must smell it on your skin!!! Thankfully my skin loves milks and caramels and chocolates and the wood in this is immaculate it smells like a maison Crivelli type of oud fragrance but with a realistic gourmand top!!

I have very mixed reviews about this one. On first smell in the shop, it was a horrible, sour smell. Sprayed it on card, left it in my bag and took it out later that night. My partner and I could not stop smelling the card for 3 days straight. It turned into a delicious condensed milk oud fragrance. We were convinced we loved it so much, went again to smell in store and both got the horrible sour note again. You have to accept that you will smell like gone off warm dairy products for at least an hour before you start to smell a beautiful oudy creamy leather!

wow ..the amount of hate here is honestly ridiculous :d before calling a brand “trash,” maybe spend five minutes learning what you're talking about. the founder has openly stated countless times that he creates fragrances based on his own taste, and it’s pretty clear that he prefers sweeter gourmand fragrances in particular??not every perfume release is some evil marketing plot. the confidence with which some of you speak while being completely uninformed is actually impressive..you're not exposing the brand you’re exposing your ignorance.

He commissions them. If we're going to use words accurately, the people creating the fragrances are the perfumers he hires.

@savorygirl ?? that’s not the point you think it is no one claimed he is a trained perfumer. a brand founder doesn’t need formal perfumery education to direct a fragrance house or create a creative vision. in most niche brands, the founder sets the direction and works with professional perfumers to execute it.

This sounds beautiful. Some of the notes are scary like mahonial, cypriol, & caramel. All can go a hit or miss. I do have faith that its going to be amazing. Hopefully not a amalgamation of different scents.

This is the biggest bullshite I have ever smelled. Yogurt in a bottle. Stop preaching for the Emperor's Clothes. We are not all stupid. Horror! Just horror
