BORNTOSTANDOUT - Naked Laundry This is every bit as unconventional, some may say weird, as everyone says it is. The smell is like fresh laundry but there is an underlying sense of something a bit sensual, maybe a little dirty about it. It is the smell of two lovers who have spent the night in a very clean hotel room bed, doing very dirty things to each other. It is a little soapy, like fabric softener and there is a fibrous note of high quality cotton here. But the musk (and that is the best way to describe it, even though there are no musk accords - it is human body musk not the smell of actual animalistic musk if that makes sense) is unmistakable. The woody, lactonic notes are there but are as if they were the perfumes on the two incumbents of this mythical bed of sin. The rich, smoothness of the honey and hints of coconut is clearer, as if it were him smelling her damp hair as they lie sweating in the darkness, post-deed. If this description sounds pretentious and a bit silly, then this is intentional but this is a pretentious and slightly silly perfume that I really enjoy because of it. It is a bit leaning feminine, that is clear to me. Just a little bit. But the drydown is musky and interesting enough to make this a cool addition to my collection. I find myself sniffing my wrist a lot when I wear it just because of how interesting it is. Its got real character this one. It's one of those scents that you love but don't necessarily like all the time, like a past, really hot ex-girlfriend who you only got on with in the bedroom and argued with non-stop with outside of it. I kind of like how this juxtaposes with this fragrance and the accords that suggest and evoke the dirty fun experience. This is a really strong and quality performing scent that dries quite linear. I really like it and I like it more because of how polarising it is. Most guys cannot get away with wearing this and I only would wear it out in a casual setting with jeans and a t-shirt, designer sneakers etc. It would work really nicely like that. Out of the new releases, I like this one the most. I'm not the biggest fan of aldehydes but it has it's place, and it's minimal on my skin. It's more a honeyed mimosa, with creamy lactones underneath. What makes this truly intriguing is this skatole material. It has a big presence upon initial spray and tinkers down as the minutes go by. I think it's a perfect contrast. Yes it has a growl but it's not as bad as these selective outragers in the comments say it is. If your a mimosa fan you will like this.

I love this smell it absolutely smells like a church, when I first smelled it it took me back to the chapel where I had my first communion, which is INSANE considering how many of you insisted it felt like "after-act-fragrances"...

I adore it. Its slighly in the opening like Acne Studios x Frederic Malle. Like hot cotton while you iroing it with fresh water. I simple can’t get enough. Really an amazing creation. Very lovely 🥰♥️

You started the evening by going out by the beach with your friends, still lathered up in sun cream. As the late spring sun set, and the night went on, you went to progressively dirtier and boozier bars, and kissed a foreign man who's language you barely spoke, but will fondly think about every now and then for years to come. To try prevent the distinct "night out" smell, you kept reapplying a sweet body mist, but it just added to the feeling even more. Finally, you stumbled back to your room, knowing that the crispy white bedding will now have smeared makeup on it, and bear the signs of a memory made. As you wake up, sun shining in your face through the windows, you smell Naked Laundry. Naked laundry is the un-everything of scents. Everything you feel in this frag is there, but it's in such an unexpected way. How can something smell so clean and fresh in it's sillage, almost leaning chemical-y at times, but still smell so animalic it's almost pissy on the close sitting notes, and yet sweet and alluring, all at the same time? I love the backseat lactonic notes, the un-floral un-sweet mimosa, and gentle, pure honey. One of the most interesting, original things I've tried recently, and even more so on skin.

Naked Laundry is everything soft, all airy, and weightless, yet with bodily presence that lingers. The opening does evoke laundry, but not in the clean, soapy way you’d expect. There’s this almost humid warmth to it, thick mimosa pollen swirling in a room where the air is dense with something unspoken. There’s a musky milkiness, almost like powdered milk dissolving in the air rather than water, delicate yet unmistakable. The nakedness here presents itself as a touch of bodily warmth, clean filth if that makes sense, and oh does it strengthen over the course of wear. Steadily, this scent's translucence turns to depth, something quietly feral stirring beneath the haze. The musk, once sheer, starts showcasing less of its initial cleanliness, and more of its heated, tactile nature, like layers of warm skin and wood pressing closer. It thickens but doesn't go syrupy, dense in the sense of a powdery heft, anchored yet a little wild, like fine dust settling over well-worn, heavy fabric both laundered in softener and also left to swelter til animalic. It’s warm, yet cool. Sweet, yet dry. A contradiction that somehow just works, as surprising as it sounds!

I don't really know why their new fragrances got so much backlash on social media, but I actually enjoy them a lot, yes they aren't mass appealing, but I don't even think they are pushing the boundaries of what's wearable. To me Naked Laundry smells very similar, almost identical to Dent de Lait by Serge Lutens, I even have to say I enjoy NL a but more, because it's a bit more sweet. The sweetness is a bit animalic, maybe "sweet sweat?", I hate the smell of any sweat, but this wasn't repulsive to me, I just think that the animalic notes gave it a bit of sweetness. I have to know if other ppl who have DdL also enjoy NL🙂

This is another fascinating scent from BTSO that is hard to categorize. You expect one thing, and get another in the best way. I went into this thinking it would be a Lazy Sunday Morning type skin scent, but boy was I wrong. It hits you with an animalic musky hit, that you can't get enough for some reason, so you keep going in, and eventually you see why it's called what it's called. Skin to skin but dirty, but still somehow retains that fresh edge without convicing you it's actually clean. I'm impressed by how many people hate this, I really enjoy it.

On paper, it smells like vanillic baby oil, on skin it smells like a stereotypical dirty shirt thats been in the hamper for a while, maybe somewhat fecal leaning but doesnt scream such. It does live to its name, but I was somehow expecting more of a wet, sweaty dirty than a dry dirty. I can see how this would be very fitting dynamic in an intimate setting because of the shifting. Very interesting find nonetheless, but not my forte, but only by a bias.

Very nice and wearable, nothing dirty or challenging at all. Smells a bit vintage-powdery with that modern ambrinol kick, strong but not cloying. Basically a more dense take on Putain des Palaces with Mimosa and almond replacing the iris and Violet combo, with a thicker musky drydown. Mimosa and Tonka (with the usual saccharine BTSO signature Accord) are very much present. I do not get ANY laundry vibe wether clean or dirty.

This is definitely a go-to-jail scent but it's kinda so bad, it's good? Can't quite figure out if it's weird enough or just plain unbalanced. This fragrance gets a kudos for keeping my attention. To me, this is one of the first BTSO scents where I don't think it was designed by AI. (TBH I wouldn't be surprised if a computer was in charge of their over the top marketing).

I don't get why everyone thinks this is so vile. It kinda smells like if you leave your laundry sitting in the washing machine a little too long but in a good way? I can kinda see what other people are talking about but to me it's not nearly as offensive as it seems to be for others. This is definitely a unique fragrance and I'm intrigued by it.

It’s a fresh fragrance with lots of musks that do actually smell quite dirty. So it’s a nice combo of minty freshness from aldehydes and some animalic aspects of the musk and coumarin (tonka beans). I’m not a huge fan of the brand, but this one smells interesting. My ig: scent.guide

This one is naughty. Yes it smells like lightly used panties thrown into the washing machine, but its a clean & healthy odour, if you know what I mean. It's a beast, yet more suited for indoor intimate occasions. Would I purchase? I guess not.

Very interesting take on laundry smell. Not as outrageous as some people say. I actually prefer it to more common sterile takes on this profile. Warm, sweet, soft and a little bit dirty.

I first came across a brand called Bon To Stand Out... I felt the uncanny valley from the modern and simple design and the blatant Tom Ford-like name that I've seen from many successful brands - like seeing the popular young people gathered at Hangangjin, Seongsu-dong. (Hangangjin Station and Seongsu-dong where numerous pop-up event stores and showrooms of various contemporary brands are gathered) - so I looked it up and sure enough, it's a Korean brand. Ah... (Sigh..yes, I'm Korean.) I don't like this kind of porn marketing at all, so I'm scared to touch it. I understand what they're aiming for and what type of people they want to appeal to, but the branding style is the exact opposite of my taste. It reminds me of all kinds of vulgar and shallow showbiz industry attrition wars, fleeting life spans, and fast fashion pollution, so I was reluctant. Naked Laundry. First impression A tinge of undressed underwear + detergent and fabric softener. The name itself is a joke, but it really smells so tingly that I hate NL. I'm already scared because I think this one will last a long time. When you smell it from a distance, it's a pretty sweet and sophisticated gourmand scent. When you smell it up close, it's tingly, but from a distance, you can smell vanilla, caramel, and tonka. There's a slightly bright and refreshing aldehyde, but it's different from the aldehyde in classic perfumes. If classic aldehydes are pretty clean, this one works with tingly skatole and ambrinol to create a stimulating body odor that feels like UPPER CUT PUNCH in the nose. I got a similar impression to Filippo Sorcinelli's But Not Today. The scent is floral-animalic, including carnation, but the animalic note smells like an unmanaged public restroom men's urinal, and it feels similar to the smell of undressed underwear in this NL right now. If you smell it from afar, it might feel attractive, and it's a sexy scent that many people might like, but I... When I spray it on my body, it smells like someone threw used condoms and toilet paper around after a good NIGHT, so I can't stand it. If WHO have a perverted taste buys women's underwear (contaminated with secretions) at a premium, there might go crazy over this smell and like it. It was so hard to bear that I wiped my arms with an alcohol swab and washed them with water and soap, and finally, it became a scent that I could smell... It's a pretty lingering undertone scent that reminds me of Chanel no.5!(I'm not saying NL's the same as Chanel No. 5. It's just that the tone of the tail is similar.) I understand why some people like it, but I really can't stand the top mixed with skatole.... If you were aiming for this, it's a really well-made scent... But wow, this is the top note, I think you need to be able to endure the tingling sensation and the beastly persistence with your guts. I recommend spraying it on your shins and ankles as far away from your nose as possible. That will be F**King SEXY.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I saw so many disgusted reviews for a perfume and I can’t relate to them at all. I’ve tested Naked Laundry a few times on a blotter, and every single time it felt incredibly appealing. For me, it smells like a spa somewhere in Asia, the air heavy with humidity, soft dewy skin, and a trace of floral oils drifting in the air. It’s the scent of warmth and damp skin — intimate, sensual, quietly magnetic. It reminds me of that Liberian Girl video by Michael Jackson, where Naomi Campbell moves like the air itself, glistening skin, heat, and slow, hypnotic tension. That’s the vibe. I don’t get any of the “dirty laundry” or “sweat” people mention. To me, it’s smooth, atmospheric, and beautifully intimate. And all those awful reviews just made me even more curious to finally try it on skin. 😄

love hate with this one, skatole definitely overpowers everything for the first few hours, the dry-down is pleasant, mimosa heavy, fresh laundry-like with the animalic note lingering around cool gimmick but not for everyday use - most of the people i showed it to gagged after smelling it

I really wanted to like this because of the aldehydes, but they don't come through for me. It has some reminiscence of naked skin, slightly musky, and fresher aspects. It's not funky, just maybe a bit dusty. Probably has potential on other people, but on me it was just boring.
