Borsalino

I'm finally able to give my review on this amazing juice! Back in 84' this fragrance was lauched, I bought a 50ml bottle and enjoyed it untill I finished the bottle. Many years later, I remember how complex this fragrance was so I began my quest trying to find this vintage stuff. I finally found a 100ml bottle and it all came back to me. The opening aroma of this juice is very masculine with a very distinct herbal/woodsy scent from oakmoss/cedar with a most definite leathery blend. This fragrance has a real deep/spicy aroma which brought me back to my days of puppy love. Middle Notes are Carnation, Cyclamen, Jasmin and Labdanum helps to balance this symphony of notes. Amber and musk really give it an attractive warm vib. Both longevity and Silage are very high quality and long lasting yet not overbearing at all! finally thought, I don't know why they don't make these kinds of fragrance any more. In the last several years there has been a return to old school frag. Most fragrance house's are recreating the wheel by relaunching a fragrance that had excellent success by creating something like the old version and making it edp instead of edt. Thou this fragrance is edt, it definitely has the depth to be a edp. This was one of my first love of fragrance and still is today. No doubt for me this is a five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Viva forever Borsalino for men!

This is a revised review. Initially, I described this fragrance as just a shadow of its original self. I first bought this while traveling in Italy in 1988. It was love at first sniff. I have many fond memories linked to the smell of this perfume, some good, others less so, but all formative to the person I am now. Back then, this was a beautiful, deep, inviting, woodsy-soapy scent, from start to finish. The lavender was there just at the right amount, without making it feminine. A little went a long way. Recently, I was very happy to find a decently priced bottle online in Canada and decided to get it. The modern reformulation (I suspect) is somewhat disappointing at the start, more heavy on the eucalyptus. However, at the dry-down (after about 30 min), the fragrance becomes much better. Dry-down gets very close to the original, it just doesn't project as well (but I think that's the case with most modern versions of 60, 70 and 80s classic fragrances). After a few wearings, I am beginning to love this again. I sometimes catch a whiff of how this smells on me and it just brings me back. If you love soapy fragrances, this one is hard to beat. Beautiful. Update: While wearing this, I did get a compliment from a stranger (a woman).

another great classic from a fantastic era of fragrances! borsalino is a great edt, rich, well-crafted, balanced and stylish. this fragrance is on the herbal side of the 80's parfumes, there are no strong animalic note inside, so it's more ferrè for man, hechter caracter or hermes equipage than chanel antaeus or ysl kouros. the opening is a bit harsh with a strong herbal-mossy vibe. the drydown is definitely more gentle and refined with lavender, jasmin, cedar, musk and some spicies. after 30 min-1 hour u can detect a fantastic, soft, gentle note of a smoky leather. the performance is good but it's not your violent 80's powerhouse, borsalino is a perfect edt for a gentleman of that era, well-dressed and kind. i think a mature guy of today can wear it, just because the fragrance in itself is great and it's not offensive. i can recommend it for people over 40, during fall and winter, formal situations. grab it if u can! un profumo decisamente maschile, di quegli erbacei anni 80 fatti con classe. scent-9 long-8 sillage-8 versatility-7 bottle-7,5 uniqueness-8 compliment factor-7 Back-up bottle? Lovely classic men ́s cologne. Fresh and quite spicy. A touch of pine and a soft and very slightly sweet floral. Fairly unilateral, with the dry down a tiny bit swetter and less spicy. I see this worn at any time. I think these vintage colognes smell similar in many ways because they used far more natural ingredients. I am testing an original mini vintage. The dry down after 30 minutes is really nice. This is a refined and soft fragrance.

Not just any phenomenon in its day .... Forms a nice transition from Azzaro Ph and Ungaro (III). Beautiful oak moss and flower combo which is then seasoned with herbs trends .... Today, only occasionally collection ...... Ingenious as successors Cologne Intense, Panama, etc. worthy of a classic! Today, use of this fragrance specialty, time travel and lifestyle ....... A real unique!
