What an amazing fragrance! I was sent this as a sample when I bought a full bottle of Tabac Dore along with samples of Victoria and Rich, which were OK, but I didn't care for as much. This is like an artisanal version of Xerjoff Dolce Amalfi in that it has some kind of pink bubble gum gelato vibes (pistachio and black currant?) , but in the best way possible (not at all synthetic or sweet). I loved it so much I bought the attar and it is even better. Attars effervesce more slowly because of the polarity difference between the carrier oil and perfumer's alcohol, changing the evolution of the scent, but not its overall profile. I know some are saying it is too European, too modern, too clean, etc, but I have 6 Bortnikoff ouds and 20 Areej Le Dores, including ultra dark vintage things like War and Peace (which I love), but can still appreciate the playful transparency of this 'Dream'.

What I get most from this is a beautiful creamy vanilla sandalwood with a touch of tart black currant. Need to test this some more, but at first sniff it's intriguing. In the dry down it is reminding me a bit of Vani Charnel.

Light confection like natural gourmandish scent. The perfume opens with notes of caraway, vanilla and slight champaca. The heart is pistachio and blackcurrant. The perfume settles into a powdery base of sandalwood and benzoin. Although this has been done with slight variation by the perfumer before, this is a happy and well blended scent. The unisex scent has moderate projection and good longevity. Like its name, the stuff of pleasant dreams. Enjoy!

Hard to describe this never smelled anything quite like it, very mysore heavy but I wouldn’t call this woody, more warm and creamy like some crazy expensive skin product with a very subtle sweetness, haven’t smelled that many from Bortnikoff yet but can definitely tell its not really in the style of the older ouds, pretty unique but doubt I’ll come back to this, projection dies within an hour or two but stays on skin all day

This is in keeping with the other recent releases from Bortnikoff and in my opinion, shares similarities with Scheherazade. Fans of brands such as Parfums De Marly and Initio will find a lot to like here. It’s sweet, well blended, and mass appealing. Personally, I don’t have a problem with the evolution (or devolution) of Bortnikoff provided the fragrances move me. Whilst this fragrance is pleasant, it does not move me.

This is mainly sour tart black currant/ champaka on my skin, with a dry and darker sandal wood note that is not really bold enough next to the bright fruitiness. A hint of caraway, benzoin, pistachio and vanilla can be felt in the background. Lacks the oudy or animalic warmth to support the other notes though, and overall didn't work for me.

I blind bought it thinking that it could be a versatile fragrance. But it turned out to be very weird and unpleasant scent. It projects well and has a strong sillage but I can’t enjoy the scent itself. Not the opening nor when it settles down.

Oh wow this is this some new style? loI Im new to this house But this & Victoria isn’t anything like the others! I like em both, So no skin off my back! I ordered samples of almost all this brand avail via luckyscent, Some in two’s and started to lose interest after about 3 of his that I might want full bottles of. Just keepin it real!!! That is untill I “FINALLY”whipped this one out & tried it..Hello Dream!!! You’re the only 1 outta this whole entire line that I’d wear year around! This may go ahead of em all even though absolutely no one is talking about it. In the beginning I even get reminded of the cola vibe in Creation E!! It’s approaching spring & summer, I don’t know if Lao Oud or Tabac Dore Or Oud Monarch is going to do me much good now that winter is over here in Texas. People who liked the bubblegum in L’Huere Exuise need to get a load of this one!! I get Amber & syrupy sweet fruit at 1st. Green is listed on here and that has to be eucalyptus or mint? Maybe spearmint in the opening, That’s ends up making me think of grenadine and a green apple jolly rancher further in with this sweet fruity amber from start to end that is on a complete other level than Xerjoff Erba Pura! This made me think of that at 1st But ended up more in the vein of Xerjoff Dolce Amalfi. But despite all the Xerjoff’s I own, I just don’t care at all for Erba Pura at all. This in “my opinion” is something that could be worn in hot weather & still when it becomes cold out!...I’m guilty of liking almost all fall & winter fragrances myself..But was surprised to like this as much as I do...As I read the few reviews down below I was like yeah I see this & that! In the far drydown this gets pink bubble gummy with a little mint like Pepto Bismall, But in a good way! In the last stages I think back to Xerjoff Dolce Amalfi only more potent! But having Dolce Amalfi I know I got 100ml of that for half the price of this 50 ml here.

Raisins, hint of cherry liqueur, clove, cinnamon, tobacco, sandalwood and labdanum. Very syrupy in texture, with prominent raisins and labdanum specifically. Lots of pitch black and purple hues without being smokey at all. Quite different from Dmitry's current catalog! For fans of glühwein and spiced tobacco scents.

It appears some of the commenters here think this is an oud fragrance. Whether you get the attar or perfume, there will be no oud. This is a concentrated perfume with no oud in it. It is classified as an oriental floral. That is why you don’t see agarwood listed in the notes.

This is primarily a very tart blackcurrant, with champaca. It’s very bright and sour smelling, like sour bubble gum. It’s unique, but not something I’d want a bottle of as I’d prefer it to have more vanilla or something else to balance out that linear tartness. 2/5

Bortnikoffs new style.. not my favorite style currently but wow its an amazing scent. Sweet vanilla, rich sandalwood, pistachio is a real stunner, just like a creamy vintage Emeraude de Coty, respect
