GANDALF'S PLEASANTLY SOFT MAGIC TOBACCO My search for impressive new tobacco scents (new for me), took another step. This perfume is quite impressive indeed , but not as bold as I expected. Yet, today it grabbed the attention of my wife... twice!... on the opening and on they dry down. She made me a comment that almost made me laugh: "Today you smell oriental, balsamic, sweet and spicy... but in a very nice and likeable way for a change. It is like sitting besides Gandalf smoking his sweet pipe that smells of peace and hapinness, instead of wandering with him in an Orc castle smelling his thunder and lightning blunting wizardry". Well... She knew she would get my attention speaking of Tolkien's imaginary World. Initially, After spraying, the scent is wonderfully dark and sweet. There are hints of dates and figs wrapped in tobacco leaves, bitter ambrette seeds and spicy pepper, but no real fieriness. There is an obvious vanilla note, but it is dirty and dark, integrated into the tobacco and fig. After a while, it shifts from the juicy opening to a drier direction, which justifies the fragrance's name. The scent is now completely natural, with the subtle sweetness of brown sugar and cinnamon mingling with the dry tobacco leaves. It is more elegant than cloying. After a little more time, the slightly resinous benzoin comes through, giving the whole thing a rounded quality. One hour after spraying, the woody accords become more prominent. The scent now seems very balanced and surprisingly wearable, just like an everyday tobacco perfume. Delicate dry oud underlines the late evolution of the fragrance. Various balsamic accords blend together to create a warm, relaxed atmosphere. I quite like it. After the intense opening of fig and tobacco, which was both dry and juicy, I was expecting a little more intensity and character. Instead, it's an elegant and peaceful tobacco scent. MY OPINION: And excellent tobacco scent proposal by Dmitry Bortnikoff. However, as the perfume it is quite peaceful for what a Bortnikoff addict may expect, try before you buy. This is a class-leading tobacco scent, with tobacco absolute at the heart and only notes like ambrette, fig, and oud added to highlight the character of the tobacco. I find that tobacco scents are quite common in the market but few scents actually offer real wet leaf tobacco, instead hiding it behind veils of smoke, vanilla, and vetiver. This is a rare exception. BUT - the one caveat I have is that it progresses too quickly to a kind of dry, salty, balsamic phase, which is similar to the dry down of rosa's Manhattan. The rich dense tobacco disappears and we are left with something dry and resinous. The team from YouTube channel Wafts from the Loft mention this. They say it is pyrazine giving a 'burned popcorn vibe', although I don't get burned popcorn. But the nice people at Bortnikoff sent me a FREE sample of the Attar version (I am not a promoter, just a fan) and all these issues are resolved. The Attar has deep fig and oud and never enters a dry balsamic phase like the spray version. I have tried the attars for Dream, Oud Monarch and Lao Oud as well and they are all deeper and richer than the spray version - and beautiful packaging! So I would get a sample of the spray version and if you find it too dry and balsamic in the dry down, but like the overall scent profile, the attar is a no-brainer. I honestly think Dimitri tweaks the formulation for his attars so that they are richer and more rounded, even considering the expected different scent evolution as compared to the spray version (aroma chemicals effervesce differently from oil vs alcohol).

As everyone else has said below, this is a magnificent tobacco fragrance. Rich, deep, with an oud note in the base that is simply transcendent. But what really elevates this fragrance to the stratosphere, IMHO, is the brilliant opening. There is a slightly sweet note, probably from the apricot, and the tobacco is present at once too, but there is also a musky note from the ambrette that will, when taken with the tobacco and sweetness, remind anyone who has been around aging cigar tobacco of the smell of the real deal getting ready to be rolled into a great cigar. Add in a bit of vanilla and you have an incredible opening that prepares you for the smoky, rich spice, woods and tobacco notes that lie ahead. I have seen criticisms of Bortnikoff openings, and have often found them at least somewhat justified. Here, the opening is just as masterful as the rest of the scent. If you love tobacco-centric fragrances, this scent is definitely a must try. I get moderate to strong projection, a solid 6-8 hour longevity and a real warmth from this scent. Yet this fragrance works well on cool spring days along with the obvious fall and winter times for which it is ideal. Versatile, beautiful, incredible. Expensive, but here you get value for money. Very highly recommended.

Now this...Is Why...I Collect...FRAGRANCES ! Tabac Doré is art. My nose foesnt pick up on any of the individual notes listed. The combination of notes in this fragrance are so well blended, & all are working to enhance this note of Tobacco. This fragrance smells true to the scent of freshly cured Tobacco Leaves. Its insanely Pungent. Dry, yet at the same time Moist, & Dark. This is not a sweet Fragrance. Theres no Cherry, Vanilla, or anything Syrupy & crowd pleasing being used to soften the initial shock of this Tobacco accord. But it does have the same muted sweetness of an authentic Tobacco Leaf. I have yet to smell a Tobacco note this authentic in any fragrance. And you can literally wear this fragrance in combination with any fragrance that you want to add a note of Tobacco to. The performance is not Beast, & for a fragrance that smells of nothing else but Tobacco it doesnt need to be. Tabac Doré gave me moderate projection & lasted on my skin over 10 hours. However, the lasting power & projection was better on my clothing. Tabac Doré is still going strong on my shirt after 2 days. Tabac Doré is a love for me. Great job Dmitry.

Blown away. This one doesn’t get quite the hype of some other offerings from the house, so my expectations were somewhat tempered. Turns out it very well maybe my favorite from the line. An immersion of tobacco absolute, complex and mysterious. A punch of petroleum oud, with pink pepper sparkle adding its texture. Classically wooden, but in no way antiquated. Multidimensional sweetness from the blend of vanilla, fig, and benzoin. Performance seems to be a cut above its siblings (that I’ve tried) as well. I don’t get any of the comparisons to some of the more popular scents it’s been compared to. Tobacco is one of, if not my favorite note, and I think this is the best I’ve ever tried. From my first test it made a Herculean leap into my pantheon.

Tabac Dore is in a word, "luscious". Wet smelling, slightly sweet tobacco that is at the same time slightly dry...but it's more moist than it is dry. A very strong fragrance that doesn't require much to envelope you in a cloud of incredible beauty all day. Musk Cologne is still probably my favorite Bortnikoff, but Tabac Dore is right there with it. It's a stunning achievement and is definitely my favorite tobacco fragrance, which is saying something as there are so many that are wonderful and that I also love. Okay, another one word description for this incredible fragrance, "transcendent". It takes me to an amazing place, and I love going there with Tabac Dore. Two thumbs up as high as possible.

I love this fragrance, It starts off with a dry tobacco and apricot accord mixing with ambrette + Labdanum which gives it a creamy seedy dense leathery-rich amber vibe. After spraying this fragrance multiple times, I’ve noticed the plum cinnamon accord that was hard for me to pick out because of the amazing blend. In the mid the tobacco accord dies down and the is seemingly replaced with a benzoin and smoked wood vibe(this charred wood character) the base is similar to the mid but the apricot, plum and ambrette notes have faded completely. You’re now left with a gorgeous dry amber wood scent. The projection 7/10 Longevity 9/10 Scent 10/10 I absolutely recommend you try this.

This one along with lao oud i recieved just yesterday are both MASSIVE clothes stainers so be warned😂(literally dyed my arm). Both this tabac doré and lao oud are very strong on first spray ans definitely not for everyone but as it calms down it has become one of the best drydowns i have ever smelled, highly natural and pleasant. The wet tobacco leaf damp sweet forest feel is so addictive in the opening and as it dries down further the honeyes sweetness and balsamic qualities pop up with abit of connamony spice and it's just spectacular. Not to mention this is the best looking bottle i have ever seen (personally) with gorgeous presentation!

This juice is absolutely incredible. i love tobacco perfumes and this is the pinnacle. I have had many many different darker, oudy perfumes. This is still the best tobacco perfume I have and to be honest it's top 3 of the oud perfumes I have (probably second to Russian Oud II). The perfume. This stuff is sticky, sweet tobacco, underpinned with resinous woods and a touch of oud. The vanilla / tobacco shine through throughout the full wear. It does not evolve much but why should it when the opening is perfect! I absolutely cannot wait to wear this more in the colder months. I am going to grab a backup bottle.

A very fine tobacco blend suited for fans of its austere and provocative scent profile. This is the smell of sniffing the body of a cigar, igniting it, enjoying its taste, and engulfing into it’s cloud of smoke. It’s a dense scent but sits close to the skin, in a very mature, classy and reserved manner. The dry down smells like a cigar sitting on an ashtray slowly going out. Not the smell of ash per se, but the overall scent of an unfinished cigar. Price is steep on this one, but fans of Tobacco Oud Intense and Jeke will more than likely appreciate this one, I certainly do.

This is the best tobacco fragrance I’ve ever smelled. Like an authentic vanilla cigar blended in the smoothest highest quality possible. As with all bortnikoffs, I like the extrait more than the attar, which I found to be less sweet and complex and more of a one dimensional tobacco scent that was boring in comparison. The attars smell muddled and the extraits more complex with a clearer note definition and more contrast between them 5/5

This is a great tobacco fragrance. Right of the bat it you are hit with some sweet vanille, but a few seconds later its all about fine tobacco with a soft blend of oud. The oud actually makes the tobacco note more smooth. The balsam and cinnamon almost gives it a hint of liquorice type of tobacco Would I recommend it? Even if its nice, this is probably something you wear for your self and not as a daily scent.

Holy fucking shit I love this and it hurts that I can’t wear it for some years. This is an elegant perfume beyond my years. Fits an middle-aged to older man for classy occasions. You get the tobacco along with the deep chocolaty vanilla (in my opinion). For you lighter skinned people you might get a strange, almost boozy rum note that is not listed at all. All in all. A beautiful tobacco fragrance!

What a beautiful tobacco fragrance ! I was choosing between this and lokoum, but this one is so much more me and I really wanted a nice tobacco scent. It’s not a burning cigarette smell, it’s more like a nice cigar scent. Beautiful and warm. Easy to wear and a bit spicy. I only smell tobacco and pepper but I’m ok with that because that’s exactly what I was looking for

Rich deep tobacco loaded with balsams, amber and wood. My 10ml has aged 2 years and the coffee has toned down or I don't sense it as much as I remember. Lots of complexity here with great performance. May stain clothes but I prefer to wear on skin anyway. Beautiful natural perfumery. Scent 9.3/10 Performance 7/10

An absolutely sublime tobacco fragrance. Hard hitting and unapologetic, this one is really for the tobacco lovers. Right up there with the best and fortunately the tobacco isn't muted by sweet notes, other than ever so subtle natural tobacco sweetness. Well blended, moderate sillage and good longevity.

holy TOBACCO. it's like one of the ultimate tobacco fragrances because it literally smells like 1000 humidors. ramsey explained it best in his Bortnikoff video if you really love natural tobacco fragrances, you definitely need to smell this one

i get the comments below me claiming this perfume lacks power but in terms of smell? my god this THE BEST smelling bortnikoff in my book and i'm a lover of the brand. it's so opulent and rich, best of house and best tobacco i've ever smelled.

A fantastic fragrance all around. I've had a Bortnikoff discovery set for over two months now, and now that I've gone through the entirety of Maksim Bortnikoff's line I think it's only right to now go through his father Dmitry's line (also before my samples evaporate further, some of my samples are already missing half of the juice, which is extremely disappointing considering how expensive the set was). Tabac Doré was one of the most impressive scents from the set off first impressions, it was a vanillic and resinous tobacco with an oud base. I agree with Carl Bidebo below me in that this developed a boozy, whiskey-like smell on my skin, it's in fact quite similar to the scent I got out of several Maksims, namely Vanilla Oud, Ambre de Noir, Musk Couture and Amber Balsam, however, unlike these four fragrances, Tabac Doré definitely develops a more whiskey-like scent instead of an overripe fruit-like fermented smell. The tobacco and vanilla are still noticeable, especially as the fragrance dries down, whereas the oud hums in the background, giving the scent a robust base. It's a gorgeous fragrance, supremely refined and definitely more of an elegant wear. I think the only reason I don't rate this as Love instead of Like is that it does ultimately resembles the Maksims I mentioned earlier very strongly, although I understand this is totally the fault of my skin chemistry. Speaking of which, if I had to compare this to the Maksims I mentioned I think this is closest to Musk Couture out of the four, Ambre de Noir is much brighter and sweeter, Amber Balsam is much more balsamic, and Vanilla Oud is much oudier than this, leaning almost into a barnyardy realm. I wonder how the attar version of the scent compares to this perfume version. Performance won't knock your socks off but this is an extremely dense fragrance after all, it's been 8 hours since I sprayed this on and I can still faintly notice where I sprayed this on my arm (obviously do NOT spray this on clothes, it will stain very badly). Projection and sillage were both moderate, this won't push far in front of you and neither will it project for too long, once again, because of how dense the fragrance is. I don't mind this, this is the type of scent that subtly commands attention and asserts dominance, not the type that demands people to turn around and look at you. Longevity is great, as implied earlier, I think this could easily last 12 hours on skin.

A smoky rich resinous tobacco scent. The scent opens with smoky notes of pepper with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. The heart is a resinous tobacco surrounded by benzoin and slight fig. The perfume settles on a bed of balsamic resins with labdanum, cedar and slight sandalwood. The masculine leaning scent has strong projection and good longevity. The scent is blended beautifully and seamlessly, yet it is not an easy wear not by a long stretch because of its rough smoky feel, almost like someone smoking a flavored tobacco hookah right next to you. Must try for tobacco lovers, all others approach with slight caution. Enjoy!

Tabac Dore is a very rich and alluring tobacco, it has the dry tobacco leaf aroma. This one gives me similar vibes to Sayat Nova, but without the fruity aspect in the opening. Almost a linear tobacco fragrance (Not bad at all), with hints of oud and vanilla through out the wearing. Not bad at all and definitely uses a real tobacco absolute as I have much experience using these materials myself for my own fragrances. 8/10

It’s good but not great. Not sure I like the vanilla in combination with the rest of the notes. I agree that the attar is much better for some reason.

I've returned to my (Lucky Scent) sample from 3 or 4 years ago, and it was thicker than it should've been, making me think that it has possibly evaporated and, as a result, concentrated to the point of being parfum strength. The vanilla and tobacco a married seamlessly in the forefront of this scent -- my older bro used to smoke Dutch pipe tobacco and it did NOT smell this royal and regal -- don't get me wrong, tobacco smells absolutely mesmerisingly DELICIOUS, no question, but this is something else. There are some dark, resinous/woody elements in the background, and they too help boost the scent, but there is an unavoidable metallic borderline screechy aspect to this scent that moves it from the 'maybe' category to the 'no' category. It is unfortunately subverted, ALL of it, to the point where it is a self-identifying part of the scent -- it's an actual component of the scent, worthy of analysis and inclusion. It's too much for me, too much to endure and too much to overlook. Everything else, HECK YES. But with this aspect? Sorry, I cannae...

Oh wow, this is a tobacco delight! This seriously needs to be on ANY tobacco fan's list of scents to try. Delicious tobacco, backed with balsams and spices to the point where it comes across as a desi version of kretek cigarettes. This is insanely good -- it works on many MANY level. I'm not sure this is something I would personally reach for, but it is damn good. There is a slight vanilla note that persists all the way through the scent's life, which isn't bad, but it jockeys with the tobacco, maybe a bit too much. I'd prefer if it was dialled back a bit, but that's just a minor gripe. There's the right about of bitterness and sweat in the scent, too. So many elements to this that suit the aesthetic -- this scent just works perfectly. Definitely recommend it... ***EDIT*** Second time around, and there is a metallic screech that comes through, much like it does with Ore and a few others. Almost there, but that screech ruins it for me...

Getting huge dose of cardamom and booze which is not listed. Maybe it is the ambrette, tobacco and balsams tricking my nose... Smoking a lot of good cigars and sadly it seems impossible to find a perfume that can come close to match the smell of the real thing.

opening raw tobacco/cigar, barnyard manure'ish, bit of sweetness and leather. lasts 20 minutes, then not much of anything. I like the scent, but most won't. and doesn't last.

TLDR Dry down is a little cedar and a little chocolate. My take? Considering price, performance, and fragrance profile? Most of us need to get a grip and come back to reality on this one. Let’s nip this nascent MFK like beatification in the bud. you want to sell a ton of this stuff? boost projection and longevity, then put it in a Cremo bottle and sell it on Amazon for $22.50. That is what this is. This is not a knock on Cremo. I have tried two of their products. Hard charging performance, solid fragrance profiles, dime store cost. Nothing not to like. Then there is this. Oud, check. Cedar, check. Labdanum, check. 🤷🏼. I was expecting a lot, lot more. Based off of the reviews and notes list I thought I was in for something really interesting and special. What a disappointing snoozefest of a cologne. As always take the reviews here with a grain of salt. They are usually very, very easy to spot. You know the ones. The reviews that pontificate to ludicrous heights and don’t actually describe the fragrances. Perfect examples are BR540 or Terre d'Hermes Parfum Hermès. Both very nice fragrances, but come on people. I should know better by now but they definitely got this one over on me. Fortunately projection is not very good. Hopefully longevity is bad so I can take this off and put something else on. Bortnikoff? No no, Badnikoff.

Bortnikoff is a house I’ve been intrigued by for a long time, Tabac Doré is one of the more popular offerings and so I was very excited to sample it. I have to say I feel a bit disappointed if I’m honest, it’s really just not my style of scent at all - in all honesty it doesn’t even feel like a perfume, which some people may love. It’s got this overwhelmingly dry note of tobacco - it’s not ashy or nasty like that of a cigarette, but more like dried tobacco leaves forcefully crushed into an old, dirty pipe. Thick, oily balsams along with sappy labdanum and dense oud turn this into something reminiscent of damp soil. To be honest that’s all I really get from this. I understand people love this house for the unrestricted use of high quality natural materials, but to me it seems to lack overall flair and coherence - more of a barrage of natural raw materials for the sake of saying they’re natural. It’s not a bad creation, just not something I’d ever want to wear.

This is the first hyped Frag I did not enjoy. Thank god I bought a decant first. It's just not doing it for me. It smells sad... I love a good Tobacco profile but this smells like sadness and dirt. I understand what was being attempted here and kudos for trying but this is a pass for me.

Boozy sweet fecal on initial blast, woodsy mild sweet fecal on drydown. A little bit of tobacco all throughout. Not as long-lasting as I expected contrary to the rating here, while sillage is spot on moderate to intimate.

Now that it's cooler outside I gave this one a shot again after a year. And still, it smells of fecal chocolate. Ugh. I give up.

خیلیاتون دنبال تنباکوی تلخ و شبیه برگ تنباکو بودین. خیلیا خسته شده بودین از حضور میوه و وانیل و البالو و سیروپ کنار تنباکو. مژده ، تا حدود زیادی به خواسته تون نزدیک شدین. بالاخص یک استارت فوق طبیعی از برگ خشک تنباکو واقعا ادم و به هیجان میاره . این حجم از طبیعی بودن استارت ذوق زده میکنه ت که برگ خشک تنباکو رو دارم بین انگشتام میفشرم و عطرش پراکنده شده. تلخ و طبیعی . گرچه کم کم این تلخی به سمت شیرینی میره ، اما کماکان یک کار متعادل میمونه و شیرینی غالب نمیشه. اینکه این عطر پوششی باشه خیلی سلیقه ای هست. مطمئنا از خیلی از تنباکوهای شیرین پوششی تره. .اولش که بوی طبیعت تنباکو میاد کمی ادم به فکر میفته این حجم از حالت تک نوت تنباکو میتونه پوششی باشه ؟ درسته که واقعا این طبیعی بودن کم پیداست بین عطرای تنباکویی ولی پوششی بودنش چی؟ . خوب همونطور که گفتم در ادامه عطر کمی شیرین و وانیلی میشه . یک حس و حال میوه ای کمرنگ و خواهید داشت که میتونه میوه انجیر باشه. صندل وود هم کنار وانیل به حس کرمی داشتن بیشتر کمک میکنه . میدل بنظر من ترکیبی از وانیل و تنباکوست.که صدها برابر زیباتر از توباکو وانیل مشهور تامفورده. چراکه تنباکوی طبیعی غالب هست بر شیرینی و وانیل . به سمت بیس حضور عود و چوب و بیشتر دارید که یه حس بوزی هم میده . کماکان در معیت وانیل البته . بنظرم اگر تنباکو دوست هستین براتون پوششی هم هست و عشق میکنید با این کیفیت خاص و کم نظیر. عطر ساده ای هست و خیلی فرازو فرود پیچیده ای که نتونید درکش کنید نداره. اما با این حال مدام به تحسینش میپردازی . بالاخص اگر تست کارای تنباکوتون زیاد بوده باشه بیشتر قدردان این جواهر کم رقیب خواهید بود به لحاظ نزدیکی رایحه به طبیعتش. در مجموع لذت بردم ازین کیفیت بینظیر . گرچه طرفدار عطرای تنباکویی نیستم اصلا اما اونقدری تست داشتم که به جرات بگم این کیفیت نظیر نداشت.

Definitely smells to me very potentially sexy in a vibe kinda way. Very thick and rich and dense, and to sound like a snob, the cliche, smells expensive I think applies here. Hell i'd say obnoxiously so even this juice is so rich it looks like I have a piss stain on my arm. Not that it's the most beastly thing ever but its left a mark on me for better and worse. Smelling this what comes to my mind a couple fragrance analogies that popped in my head were, this is what Sensei or Shihan, should have been. For what its worth, I can't comment on the reformulation of Sensei or what Sensei i've even have a sample from all those years ago, or what it now in its Shihan form is exactly like. But it did call to mind that. But this is what that should have been, and like a much more sexy pleasing version. Specifically with out that awful old coffee candy note that is in that one that is really off putting to me. Thinking of the tobacco, and oud(note this is never stanky or harsh, just vibish to me), and whisky, I can't also help thinking just thinking of the notes, this is what I would have wanted Tom Fords Tobacco oud to be as well. The opening and first many hours are good to me for sure, although as it's creeping to its final stages I do smell something that is reminding me of Slumberhouses ore almost off hand, which does nothing for me personally. Gonna have to find my old sample of that and compare someday. Anyway, would I wear it, sure as a vibe, hard to justify the price but a good smell is a good smell.

I think the tabacco is the co-star here suppprting the prominent cream soda base (definitely the deep richness of the vanilla) You can also describe it as a root beer float minus the root beer; the vanilla takes it's place (or we will just say the most vanilla dominated root beer for argument sake) I think the point is with this formulation, is that the cream soda effect is rolling out the red carpet for the tobacco, giving it that beautiful contrast. It's smooth like confusing a toddler who wants to eat a nice pork chop, but as soon as the toddler opens it's mouth, you're able to sneak in those green peas lol. This is what the composition is doing to make it beautifully digestible to the nose, and it makes perfect sense. This tobacco for me, is like putting out the finest cigar by slowly dipping it into that vanilla float I had mentioned earlier; hearing its smokey hissing sound; watching the smoke release into the atmosphere but making sure it takes the deep aspects of vanilla with it...boom, there you have it That's what tabac dore smells like! Update: second time i wore it, now im picking up lots of beautiful cinnamon making it smell like a coffee-cinnabon, then dries down to a humidor box! I absolutely love this stage of tobacco!

Tabac Dore is an incredible approximation of raw cigar leaf tobacco thanks to a heaping dose of tobacco absolute. This accord is supported by a boozy whiskey sour note that I’m guessing is a result of a slightly fermented Thai or Cambodian Oud which lends a jammy, slightly turned apricot note on top of the accords already at play. The dried fruit/apricot is incredible and the overall spices are subdued but noticeable. The vanilla doesn’t quite sing and for that I’m grateful. I didn’t want another overdone vanilla bomb and Dmitry expertly blended this material into the overall tobacco vibe that is, and I can’t stress this enough, 100% realistic. This has great longevity on skin with a nice intimate scent bubble. I get an “almost” too realistic tobacco note for almost the entire length of the drydown. It’s as if the cigar note starts off being taken out of the humidor, smoked, set down and then the afterglow of the room where you’re left with a touch of Smokey sweet woods and a fading tobacco aura. Tabac Dore is simply incredible and a must have for those who search out tobacco absolute. It’s raw but expertly blended. If you want to smell like a walking tobacco leaf here’s your chance.

I waited & waited for Samples to be avail at luckyscent & was just about to blind buy this when I was notified it was back in. “So” Prob means new batch! I ordered two so I’d have more time with it. But still knowing I was going to like it. But there’s a problem no one else has mentioned..I don’t smell much of anything!! It’s dark in color, But is it a new batch? Wasssup? Maybe things are different from the atomizer blast from a bottle. But It’s been way more than generously dabbed onto my wrist and only a seriously faint smell of tobacco but honestly more of a nothingness. And should still be shown way more than this. Questions I have is there so much naturals that it needs more chemicals to give this some push?? All I do know is that after tax this is almost $400 for 50ml & that’s all good once again, “If you can smell it!!” 30 min or so later it came up with some vanilla. But not enough for nothing really. It isn’t my wish to bash this one, But if one don’t know, It cannot be corrected & If people blind buy it, This may not meet expectations.

Well, after spending several hours with Tabac Dore, I would like to delete my olfactory memory. You may ask why, because it evidently reminds me of the first “oud” perfume that I smelled in my local mosque years ago. It was non other than Al Rehab’s notorious Sultan al Oud... It is a kind of fragrance that feels good when you smell on others, but when you apply it to yourself, forget about it. Tabac Dore is a salty, medicinal, leathery, wine soaked tobacco to me. I don’t get too much sweetness here, especially during the initial stage. I could easily say that this is masculine from top to bottom. It also closely reminds me of another middle eastern attar: Imperial Oud by Maison Anthony Marmin. Yes, for me they are definetely in the same territory. I have tried my best to appreciate Tabac Dore, but it doesn’t go anywhere. Overall not my cup of tea, but if you are into salty leathery wet tobacco kind of fragrances, it may work for you.

I only got the travel size because I'm rather new to the tobacco world, I hate smoking so I think that turned me off. I smelled, of smelt, can't remember which is correct, tobacco mandarin at Saks about six months ago and fell in love. If you like this, try that as well. Now that I have the travel, I think I stick with it. I have waaaayyyy too many fb and need to stop buying them before my marriage is ruined by my expensive habit hahaha. That does not deteriorate my love of this scent, just that I live in Florida and I feel like this needs fall. Perfect fall smokers jacket with the patches on the sleeves kinda smell. I think I like tobacco smells after all, who would've figured. Anyways I love it, try it, if you don't @me

Tabac Doré by Bortnikoff This is pure art in a bottle. It opens up with peppers and dry #tobacco leaf which stays throughout its life, one of the most #authentic tobacco used here which comes alive with the combination of other ingredients used. Doré means coated in gold. I don't know but i find it very similar to #sayatnova which I absolutely adore. Add some thick, dense tobacco and you get tabac Doré. However, it's just the sweetness am comparing. Overall, it's quite an unique fragrance in its own. I absolutely love this creation, good longevity and sits close to you but I wear fragrances for myself so it works for me. Overall, if you love tobbacco! This is it, you gonna love this for sure.

This reminded me alot of Tom Ford's Tobacco Oud, but on steroids. It's mostly amber like the Tom Ford mentioned is mostly amber. The oud is a sharp band aid, medicinal type oud. And you get some tobacco. I didn't care for it too much. I have the Tom Ford Tobacco Oud which is better blended, smoother. PS: In trying it some more, it's quite good. The oud is not as smooth as other Bortnikoff Ouds that usually have florals, this seems not to have. It's an amber and strong oud combo, and the tobacco note smooths it out. Worth a try for tobacco/ oud fans. Much more oud than Tom Ford Tobacco Oud. Rating: 8/10 God bless. John 3:16

This tobacco scent is a very dark, thick and dense perfume with gourmandy vibes. Smells like nothing else Ive ever put my nose on exactly. It does have a slight woody cabin smell from up on the mountains, it's very comforting! I pick up a good dose of balsam, which is very resinous, with a touch of dried fruits. I'd say this composition takes a blend of Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille and Roja Dove's Creation E and if you know those two scents, you'll have an idea what ballpark this beauty is in. Overall a strong tobacco scent with vanilla and cinnamon, along with some smoke and woods. Great for the trail at Bruce in Ontario.

extremely pleasant vanilla - oud combo give this tobacco an almost honeyed, sweet syrupy feel. I also like that despite having such strong ingredients, it's not pungent but very sophisticated, smooth & mellow. I feel more oud in here than tobacco, and it's absolutely delicious. the balsamic resins and a careful spicy touch add great depth & balance, so its doesn't lean too sweet/gourmand, or go into tobacco too much. this might be my second favourite after musk khabib considering the price tag, id like it to project a little better and last a little longer (only 4 hrs plus very, very close to skin).

I don't get fruit, raisins, sweet, chocolate, vanilla at all like a few reviewers mentioned and I'm kind of suspicious of the authenticity of their bottles. What I do get is pure and raw tobacco leaf and cigars, almost as realistic as it gets. It's leathery too, but I think that's simply the tobacco just as I get the smell of a corn field which I also think is just the tobacco itself. All in all very masculine and unapologetic raw tobacco. Not some sweet Tobacco Vanilla concoction.

Without a doubt the most realistic tobacco scent I've ever smelt. No ashiness here. Dark chocolate, dry tobacco, hint of cedar, smooth brown leather, hindi oud, jammy figs and ground coffee with a sweetness from vanilla in the background mellowing the scent into perfectly cozy levels. A must for those trying to find the perfect humidor scent or just love the scent of an unlit cigar.

Solid release from the house for anyone looking for a wet tobacco leaf fragrance. The quality definitely shows with the right amount of spices, vanilla and oud which compliments the composition while staying true to it's purpose - (Tobacco) This comes 2nd next to ensar's thai tabac as the best natural smelling tobacco fragrances I've tried. Oh my... This is probably the most transportive and realistic tobacco available. I'm either opening a giant humidified cigar cabinet or walking into some dank/dark bar that has congregating cigar connoisseurs lounging around. I'm not sure what thought this evokes more... Mastery.

Weak perfume, performance and poor composition. The tobacco smell is weak. Only vanilla, sandalwood and some other ingredients appear shyly.
