Saudade

This smells like Tihota with some pear added. It's mainly a musky vanilla, but SOME pear. The pear isn't too much or overpowering, which was something I was worried about. It wears on the lighter side, very similar to Tihota - maybe a smidge better performance than Tihota though. So imagine Tihota with a little Orris 22 added. Although I think the pear is stronger in Orris*. Of course not exactly, but that's the best way I can describe it. It's absolutely nothing like Lune Feline which is a cinnamon bomb. I own that too and these are different for sure. This doesn't have any spices. The musk is not a dirty musk or heavy or metallic. More of a white musk. Not funky. The vanilla is very reminiscent of Tihota in how it reads on skin. I am not specifically getting white chocolate, at least not yet. I feel this will just get better with time though. Excited to see how this vanilla matures. Well worth a sniff for Tihota lovers who wouldn't mind a touch of fruity. It's more vanilla than fruity.

This is one I would love to gatekeep. I got a sample at Christmas and EVERYONE at that party went crazy over this scent. They all ran to their phones and searched for it online. Ive got compliments from men & woman and the longevity was impressive for this type of scent. I definitely smell the custard/vanilla, it’s warm, comforting, and inviting. The type of smell you just want to cuddle into. The lower price is also a bonus! (Currently adding a full bottle to my cart).

Its a nice fragrance butdasn’t stay for long, i have ir for 3 days, maybe need oxidation process tobring more longevity.

Saudade by Botanicae is one of those fragrances that immediately leans into comfort, but without becoming predictable. Officially, jasmine is part of the composition, paired with pear and white chocolate , and that makes sense: what you perceive as “white florals” sits right in that soft, creamy intersection between jasmine and lactonic sweetness. It’s that balance, sweet but diffused, that makes the fragrance feel wearable rather than overwhelming. The base settles into a familiar but well-executed combination of vanilla, musk, and ambroxan , giving it a smooth, skin-like drydown. It’s comforting, slightly addictive, and has that “your skin but sweeter” quality that keeps it close rather than projecting aggressively. What Botanicae does well as a brand is exactly this: creating modern, unisex compositions that are easy to wear but still have a clear identity. Their fragrances tend to be inspired by places, moods, and sensory memories, with a focus on versatility and everyday elegance rather than niche eccentricity . Saudade fits perfectly into that philosophy: it’s emotional, soft, and approachable. In terms of wearability, this is not strictly a winter-only gourmand. While it clearly shines in cooler weather, autumn evenings, early spring days, it doesn’t feel suffocating in milder temperatures. The sweetness is tempered enough to allow year-round use, especially if applied with restraint. It sits comfortably in that “cozy but not heavy” category. It’s also unmistakably unisex. If anything, it sits right in the middle: sweet enough to lean slightly feminine in the traditional sense, but structured and musky enough to feel completely natural on anyone. It reminds me to Silky Woods by Goldfield & Banks. Both fragrances play in that creamy, slightly sweet, woody-gourmand space. Silky Woods leans more into woods and spice, while Saudade stays more lactonic and dessert-like, but they share that same polished, modern warmth and a similar “texture” on skin. If there’s one thing to understand about Saudade, it’s this: it’s not trying to be complex or challenging. It’s about mood. A soft sweetness, a hint of floral light, and a comforting base that feels familiar but well put together. Easy to wear, easy to like, and sometimes that’s exactly the point.

Delicious! Saudade is sweet, I get a ton of white chocolate. I would put sweet first and musky second.

Pretty and very fluffy/musky. The first 15 minutes, for me, carry that subtle and sweet pear note. Afterwards, it’s just fluff, powdery and softly sugary. Unfortunately, in the dry down, the ambroxan comes in and ruins it for me. But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad scent at all. On me, Ambroxan cuts the sweetness and makes the whole scent a bit sharp and metallic, which, is definitely not my vibe...😔 But that doesn’t mean it’d be the same on others. Definitely get a sample, if able.

Strong prickly artificial in the first half, the second hour and ending is ordinary milion times over sweet vanilla that lingers on skin till its sweet end. Between the first and second hour, when the artificiality of scent fades, you can clearly distinguish pear, with a little imagination even creamy white chocolate, but you have to try hard and they are gone so quickly that you definitely won't buy the fragrance for them.

i was so excited for this perfume but i don’t like it at all! at least i only got a sample. the opening is so disgusting, i literally had to change my clothes. the pear with white chocolate? non-existent

This was an absolute no for me. Ugh all the notes looks amazing but don't play out in reality. All I get is weird custard tons of musk and Ambroxan and it's not in a good way

This was released today (5th May 2025) and is only now available to buy, so don’t believe the negative reviews. The notes on here are also incorrect. The correct notes, taken from Botanicae’s website are: Top Notes - Caramel & Custard Mid Notes - White Chocolate, Pear & Jasmine Base Notes - Vanilla, Ambrox & Musk I’ve just ordered my bottle and will post a review once it arrives.

This was a huge disappointment for me. I don’t get any of the notes. It doesn’t smell as I’d expected it to. My bottle arrived broken and Botanicae kindly sent me a replacement so at least I’ve managed to sell the unbroken bottle and recuperate a little back .... but I hate this scent and find it nauseating.

This is a beautiful pear vanilla musky perfume it’s sweet and easy to like but the lasting power is terrible which is a shame. I definitely get the caramel in it and it’s very enjoyable for the one hour that it lasts, but the longevity is not good at all
