Decent scent with solid performance. I swear this smelled a bit like the late drydown of TF Tobacco Vanile. Not the modern stuff, but similar to my vintage bottle with a gold batch code. Cool bottle presentation and if you purchase from the store, they also give you a circular slab of marble to display the fragrance on. Scent 80/100 Performance 85/100

Grungy to its core and good at it, but at $450, you are out of your mind. There's nothing 'special' about this, given there are so many grungy/peppery/sandalwood fragrances out there. I will say I like the fact that the vetiver doesn't pull pickly, and the dry down of this is very papery. But again....$450? Nope.

Out of the new range this is the most mass appealing one. Pleasant spicey fragrance, leans to the masculine side. According to my friend it's smells like an old Van Cleef perfume what her dad used to wear back in the day.

A voluptuous, leathery myrrh with a heavy hand of pepper. The mandarin opening fooled me into thinking this was going to be a fruity-pepper, but the leather thunders in around thirty minutes to lay down the law. The myrrh provides a slight sweetness once the citrus scurries out, as well as a faint smokiness. It’s a “speakeasy” scent in my mind: dark, deep, indulgent. Sillage and longevity is knockout. Not even a full day of compulsive hand-sanitising could kill it at my wrists. Spritz safely. I’ll admit, I was primarily lured in by the vessel. The Venice collection bottles all look like a molten pineapple Haribo bear in a top hat, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. None tempted me enough to rationalise the cost, but Alchemie might have been a contender if the pepper and leather weren’t so imposing. Mental Snapshot: They say if you tip your hat – at just the right angle – to the tanner, he will usher you into the alchemist’s. They say the laboratory is upholstered entirely in tufted leather and deals impossible elixirs. They say it is here you can drink liquid smoke and breathe gold vapour. They say a lot of things, but what else can explain the umbral aroma that curls about the shop? tl;dr: tenebrous leather 🎩🧳

Alchemie is THE STRONGEST from the new Bottega Veneta line. The longevity endures for days on fabric. It’s a spicy myrrh that’s not as good as Versace’s new Rêve De Myrrhe. It has a screechy chemical ambroxan or saffron note that I don’t like as it’s piercing and high-pitched throughout. Alchemie manages to be resinously spicy-sweet with a chewy amber-like myrrh AND with a chemical acidic high note, so it’s quite the loud jumble of notes and not harmonious enough for me.

Best one out of the discovery set IMO - initial spray is reminiscent Haltane but more peppery and no sweetness. Is it worth it? No

A vulture gliding on thermals, circling a block of fossilized rubber cement. The price point is delusional. This isn’t even a uniquely unpleasant scent. It’s boring.

Sometimes on Fragrantica I question my taste, in reference to previous reviews, because I LOVE this. When I pull this out, it's going to be an elevated day or night. The price-point is eye watering but the scent is quality - a polished, golden, citrus-amber elixir that's supported by leather and warm spices to give it heaps of longevity. It opens with a heavy hit of pink pepper. For the first 5 minutes, that's all I get from this. I don't smell Glossier You but I understand it contextually - although there is nothing synthetic to my nose! The dry down is where it gets interesting, becoming sweeter and richer throughout the wear once the juicy mandarin and creamy sandalwood unfurl in a way that is just so intoxicating. I wore this at the weekend and got a tonne of compliments. I never know whether that's a good thing or people can just SMELL me. It is quite bold. Good for evenings when drinks are flowing and you need a scent that gives presence.

It opens with citrus of orange and accords of #leather and myrrh. It has some smokiness, resin, and spiciness to it. It is very mass appealing, insanely strong and beast mode projection. Personally, I could really smell the nutmeg and pink pepper. Maybe that’s why it reminded me a bit of Coca-Cola. It also brings to mind the tangy, pickled scent of pickles. I definitely wouldn’t want to spray this on myself.

Nice masculine scent , reminds me of the new Fugazzi by borntostand out as well as Mr Sam . Can not justify the price but still a nice scent
