Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Essence Aromatique

Usually marketing blurbs annoy me but 'sophisticated' and 'easy to wear' are incredibly apt descriptors in the case of Essence Aromatique. I've worn it once and sampled it a couple of times since and I'm still arriving at the same conclusion...this is a very decent effort. I like the original, the Intense, and have only recently tried the parfum and don't feel equipped to comment on that one but generally I enjoy them all, so it wasn't a surprise that this one was good. What was a surprise however was the seemingly different vibe of this compared to the original and subsequent flankers, it really is a totally different animal. A modern and clean, citrus and almost fougere opening which gives way to a more earthy, spiced and moss and wood heart, finally finishing on a deep but mellow bed of patchouli and cedar. I'm so glad that Bottega Venetta didn't phone in a weak aquatic which I feared when looking at the name and packaging. Now apparently this is an EDC concentration and while it isn't stong, I think considering that, Essence Aromatique lasted okay. This is well executed and it's just really nice to see that there's still care being taken and respect to tradition observed, when making new releases. Although this isn't earth shattering stuff it ticks boxes for me, overall originality? tick. Great opening? Tick. Enjoyable wearing experience? tick. Nice drydown? Tick. Not one dimensional? tick....and Is performance acceptable? Tick. Despite never owning it, I have had about 25 (not exaggerating) carded samples of the Pour Homme and worn it loads because I find it highly original and this isn't bad either. Maybe I should get some Bottega Venetas because I like them.

I decided to purchase this fragrances, after much deliberation with the fragrance devil and angel in my head. I was casually walking around Bloomingdale's, sniffing away at fragrances, as I usually do in department stores, and came across B.V Pour Homme Essence Aromatique. I smelled a few designer frags, then reached for BV, and it confused me at first. It confused me, but in a good way; it was more like extreme intrigue. I sprayed a paper strip, and kept walking. Days later, I would occasionally sniff the strip, and tried justifying why I should not buy it. Finally, one afternoon, after a stressful day, and intense gym session, I got home and immediately sniffed the strip, and it instantly calmed me and put a smile on my face. That moment felt as though I was in an upscale spa. This particular flanker from B.V has an alluring scent that is reminiscent of an upscale spa; it's Earthy, herbal, calming, yet masculine. I purchased it in the late Summer of 2018, but I suspect it will be greatly worn in early Fall days (in NJ). Is this a blind-buy?; depends how well versed you are at this hobby, and if you can financially do it. Test it out on paper and skin to decide. For me, I am truly glad I pulled the trigger on this one. This is hands down the best fragrance I’ve ever smelled. I own and have smelled many niche and designer scents and this is the best one in terms of smell by far. It’s green, clean, fresh spicy and has just a touch of sweetness. This would easily be my signature fragrance, it has everything I love, but... Performance is absolutely AWFUL. Maybe I was too hopeful and expected too much from an eau de cologne. With 4 sprays, I get a max 2 hours of longevity, 3 if I spray some on clothes as well. Projection is pretty much nonexistent. This is a true EDC in that it's meant to just quickly freshen yourself up for a short period of time. Such a shame : ( I get a very natural and superb pine note blended to perfection with some citruses. It’s blended so well that the only note I can positively identify is the pine but it’s not overpowering at all. It’s just there, whispering in the background. Other than the dreadful performance, this is perfection to me. Any time, any season, any occasion this can be worn. I love it.

Nose Note #563 Piny, citrusy. Not corniferous like Hugo Man, for example. It feels more like a bitter bergamot centered fragrance, like D&G Masculine, Agua de Loewe, but it's not as bitter here. It also has tiny little spiciness. Feels more like a 00s fragrance. I love this direction in perfumery. Simple, citrus, manly. But this is not hugely impressive or memorable. A very natural smelling scent, and as you might expect it from a natural smelling scent - it doesn't last. Just about average and the sillage is worse than average. Very inoffensive and a very safe bet. It's a perfect gift for a man, if you don't know what he likes, because this manly, not obnoxious and smells and looks like high status, so it would look like a very generous gift. I think it goes for around 100$. Of course it's overpriced for what it offers, but it makes a good gift. 8/10, simple yet very good. But if you have anything similar in your collection (and there are plenty like this), this is rather redundant

Just a wonderful cologne. A modern art masterpiece. I got compliments from women and men all day long asking me what I was wearing. I was shocked. Never had that kind of reaction before with different colognes. I always got compliments, but, not like this. My lady kept commenting about how wonderful I smell over dinner. She would get drifting wafts of aromitique over the dinner table in a restaurant and "Oh my God that smells incredible". She likes it even more than Aventus. A very masculine beautiful scent that oozes sophistication and class. As if you are getting ready to board your yacht and go sailing to the Cayman Islands. :) A very crisp, bright citrus that actually lasts. Even the waitress asked for her boyfriend. If you are on the fence with this one, don't hesitate. You will not regret this purchase or blind buy. My highest recommendation. Cheers!! 10/10

Very pure and clean citrus and pine fragrance. Lasted much longer (an entire day) on my skin than Bottega Veneta pour Homme and remained consistent to its' beginnings throughout. Longevity seems to be variable - some days it holds a good few hours and then fades, other days it will disappear while I am inactive and yet come back again after a fast walk. Big compliment receiver from men and women alike. This could certainly be a unisex frag. My girlfriend loves it and usually very discerning when it comes to fragrance. I should also add that due to the simple and fresh nature of this fragrance I have found it works well when used in conjunction with another, perhaps darker or more earthy fragrance. For example if I want a bit more body and complexity I have good results layering over TF Grey Vetiver.

This one's a bit of a mystery. Starts off rather astringently with the bergamot/citrus accords in full force, but after about 20 minutes the pine and cedar notes come to the fore. The magic is definitely in the drydown here, as the juice eventually settles into a sleek, coniferous scent that leans almost feminine. I even get some inexplicable cinnamony notes in the final whiffs, perhaps attributable to the patchouli leaf. I like Essence Aromatique a lot, even if it doesn't really feel like "me". There's a cool sophistication to it that I enjoy. The projection isn't huge, but I was actually expecting the performance to be considerably poorer given the reviews here. Lasts on the skin for a good 3ish hours.

This one has a fantastic, realistic opening pine note that remains the backbone of the fragrance. Citrus and cedar are delicately woven in and give a fresh, masculine, mature impression that remains true to Bottega Veneta's luxury aesthetic. It is an EDC and behaves like one, so no unmet expectations from performance- taking that into consideration, longevity is actually pretty good. Essence Aromatique is such a lovely (and superior, in my view) alternative to ubiquitous "bleu" scents. Wear this to work and you will smell clean, refined, and somewhat original.

What a treasure this was i found in a discount bin in a perfume shop. I immediately ordered another 90 ml and later a 200 ml online. Soft, elegant, classy and not the mainstream type of scent of nowadays. Better than the extreme version, but they are meant for different seasons so perhaps not a fair comparison. In my current top 5 for sure and for now perhaps my new signature scent. You do have to spray on your clothes as well.(for better longevity) Update Bought some 600 ml in the meantime (90 mls, 200 mls) should last me a lifetime NEW SIGNATURE SCENT 10/10

Super good quality scent. Summer night to fall in the daytime use case. It's like a parfum tonic, if you can put that together. Instead of barbershop sweet alcohol, there's pine, soft not sticky, it helps the patchouli is a flavor not a theme. Earthy enough but still allowing this to be Aromatic. The bergamot plays this up top like citrus butter. Worth a $100 for a 90ml. Used to be $75. By this time next year, probably $200. Don't over spray, or you'll play the pine cheap.

I’m surprised to have just recently heard about this. Thankfully, I didn’t hesitate on pulling the trigger. What a fantastic scent. Take creed royal water, add a pinch of citrus and some patchouli and you’ve got this easy - pleasing - smell. The blend of notes gives this a slightly powdery vibe - while the patchouli seems to give it a kick. Aromatic indeed - and a really nice release that doesn’t get the fanfare it should - which is fine by me! 6/10

Great scent. Patchouli and pine needles. It reminds me of Cartier Roadster. They both share that elegant, woody patchouli drydown, with a fresh herbal/green opening. This one, instead of mint, has pine needles. The projection is not great but it lasts 6-8h. Really good option if you want something different for summer and spring time, in the same ballpark as Roadster.

I' d like to say something to person, who smells here window cleaner. There is one conception - if You like bold and "screaming" scents, You' ll be not a lover of SUBTLETY. This is simple, subtle and delicate scent. Very good quality.

Although its perfectly wearable in the summertime, i feel like this is abit more spring/fall. Just because the patchouli here adds sort of a dusty and melancholic element to the scent. its like it comes across more grounded and serene than your average sparkly happy go lucky type of citrus aromatic.

This is a really nice fresh scent for everyday wear. The citrus notes are bright and uplifting, and the woodsy base gives it some depth. It's not overpowering, so it's perfect for the office or running errands. Definitely a good choice if you're looking for something sophisticated but not too heavy.

I tried this today, it's a nice clean fragrance, soft citrussy opening down to a soft pine and something almost mossy. It's nice and fresh, with a hint of well blended patchouli, it's a little soft for me, but it's a quality fragrance.

This fragrance has really grown on me. It's a very clean and fresh fragrance. This may not apeal to everybody. I don't care for the opening. My favorite is the drydown where it's subtle and fresh. I give it a 7.5 out of 10

For me this is a very light perfume which I use after I've showered at the gym. Nice fresh scent but doesn't last long or project too much.

Tried it today (full wear). I like the original BV homme so I was curious about this one. BV homme EA is all about citrus. Actually I don't get too much (any?) pine, let alone the original BV pour homme smell. At first EA smells classic, and mature, almost a bit dated (i cn see the Eau de Sauvage reference people are making).. After about an hour the sharp citrus becomes soft and smooth. Not bad actually, but maybe a bit too clean (boring) for me. Not offensive at all, ideal for the office. Wrapping up: good scent, too bad it's very clean and that there is so little left of the trademark notes of the original BV Homme. 7,5/10 Edit: the drydown reminds me of Guerlain homme l'eau. Edit: tried it again. It still isn't an outgoing fragrance, but it is quite good, actually. Just nice. 8-/10

Starts off smelling like your typical aftershave. Very aromatic. Main note is Pine, with citrus not far behind. There’s a touch of sweetness coming from the mix of patchouli/ bergamot. Over all it’s a pleasant wearing. Clean scent, not barbershop, but aftershave vibes. Could be headache inducing if over sprayed. Moderate projection & leaves a trail. Reminds me of Terre D’hermes edt w/o the dirty orange & less vetiver.

The opening is eh, but the next couple hours are really nice - the pine and cedar are well balanced and slightly sweet. But after that, the drydown is just more and more tipped to the cedar side of the equation. Still a solid like, but I don't like cedar enough on its own to bother wearing it.

It's nice for those who love peppery citruses. Starts off with a bergamot/tangerine combo in the style of Eau Sauvage, soon it becomes peppery with a big amount of ISO e super. In the end all that I smell is pepper. The pine note is not prominent here unless the regular Bottega Veneta Pour Homme. The sillage is low to my nose, the longevity is normal.

@tik I can appreciate a nice subtle, clean scent any day. What i was trying to say is that this smells like chemicals and i don't find this subtle at all i found it quite harsh. Sorry if that offends you but you chose to pick at my words and preferences.

Smells like window cleaner and shaving cream. Nice if you want to smell ultra clean

First Pass - Pine, Citrus, Fir. A little sweet. A little powder. A little cream 2 Hours Later - More powder. More cream. Still fir. Still sweet, a little floral now 4 Hours Later - Very powdery, very floral. Build shows 5 ingredients. Citruses, Bergamot, Siberian Pine, Patchouli, and Cedar. Perhaps there are accords missing from this list, but it's hard to reconcile with something so sweet, creamy, powdery, & floral Overall - As I mentioned in my review of the women’s version, I sought out this fragrance because of its pine-forward accords. In that regard, it was a disappointment. I don’t like when people refer to scents as “cheap” or “synthetic.” It reduces an already subjective experience into an unintelligible moniker. Sadly, cheap is the right word to use here. It starts out slightly pine and citrus forward, with sweet, powdery cream in the background. The sweetness, powder, and cream intensify, and with the addition of florals, swell to a voluptuous feminine body. The pine and citrus recede to the background, but the cloying, creamy powder makes for a dizzying concoction. The kind of unwelcome scent cloud you walk into following a group of nice old ladies ***Scents, like tastes, are subjective. Wear what you like***

Pre-warning: If you buy this blind, you better like pine and cedar as fragrance notes. The opening is a straight-up mentholated, almost eucalyptus-like Vicks VapoRub aura mixed with pine and cedar. Sounds weird, I know, but it just "works." I'd go as far as to say that this is slightly underrated, and I'm glad I picked up a bottle recently for a non-ludicrous price. Now that it's been discontinued, prices are getting silly. This isn't a Terre D’hermes type of fragrance at all, as one review below mentions. And if anything, Terre D’hermes actually smells a lot more "approachable" and way more modern and easier to wear than this is in 2024. Overall, I agree with the general sentiment below: this has a serene, woody "spa" aura after the initial slightly astringent mentholated opening dies down. It's so soothing to wear this at night in summer, especially outdoors on a breezy night, and it's a great accompaniment for an alfresco evening dinner. This is suave, assuredly masculine, and simply makes you feel really good. This definitely isn't a mass-pleaser, though. Again, I have to reiterate that there is a literal Vicks VapoRub-type accord in this that also reminds me of the smell of an ointment or topical medicine from my childhood. This won't be loved by everyone around you. But if you're someone like me who wears fragrances purely for themselves and their own enjoyment and you're not one of those social media algorithm-addicted fragrance influencer sheep cucks who craves "compliments," then you won't give a shit. Longevity is surprisingly really good for an EDC, I get around 6 to 7 hours with a very solid sillage. Becomes a skin scent after the 7 hour mark but it doesn't completely disappear off the skin, hangs around well after. My bottle is only 50ml, so I'm most likely going to burn through it pretty quickly, but as pleasant as this fragrance is, I don't think it's worth the higher discontinued prices that this is starting to go for, so I won't be replacing it. I'd jump on this now if you can find a decent deal. Some of the prices out there now for this are ridiculous, considering it's only an EDC... Also, @Flavorblade is 100% correct. Don't overspray this, or you will indeed play the pine note cheap. 7.5/10 Edit: This is no way near my top favourite fragrances, but there's something kinda addictive about this that keeps me coming back to it. It's quite an "odd" fragrance when compared to the current 2024 frag landscape with that mentholated Vicks/topical cut ointment mixed with a high school woodwork classroom pine and cedar aura, but it just really works. It opens slightly astringent but becomes smoother and dries down to a sensual vibe. I don't layer fragrances, but this would work well layered with TDH or Profumo.

I have always enjoyed the opening of this: a fresh and dynamic burst of bergamot (and I feel like there is a tiny dash of black pepper but I can't see it in the notes). It bursts off you in a really nice sillage when you spray it that frames a gorgeous sandalwood base with textures of a wonderfully rich patchouli and some resinous forest vibe from some pine oil. The overall effect is startlingly well blended and comes across as very much the kind of freshie I enjoy. It moves on the skin from the effervescence of the citrus to the aromatic presence of the pine that moves it slightly bitter in a really lovely, non-linear way. I enjoy Amandine Clerc-Marie's work and this is an extremely accomplished bit of perfumery, especially for an EDC concentration. True to the name this is a fine study in summery green aromatics against a woody base. It is smooth and not stringent but there is a sort of medicinal, ever-so-slightly mentholly tinge coming from the way the patchouli and the pine work together. As you'd expect from this accords list, the aromatics grow in stature as it dries down and the citruses disappear. I am not usually a huge fan of green aromatics as you'll know if you've been following my reviews but I love this one. Quite apart from being for men only, I think Pour Homme Essence Aromatique is nicely unisex and I know a few women who would rock this. The stripped down, very finely blended citrus/aromatic/wood theme is very popular right now for women, especially coming into the summer. Now, this is an EDC so if you're expecting hours and hours of performance then you'll be disappointed but I do get a commendable 4-5 hours off this and the aromatics ensure this does project for most of that time. Layering suggestion: Something with pink pepper to add some depth to the top and a musky base to add some more longevity. I recently tried Muschio de Luce by Gucci from their Alchemist's Garden line and I believe that would be a fantastic base layer for Pour Homme Essence Aromatique and make it more overtly unisex than it already is. Three Word Summary: Underrated Summer Aromatics Scent - 8/10 Sillage - 7/10 Drydown - 7/10 Bottle/packaging - 7/10 Performance - 6/10 35/50

Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Essence Aromatique is sophisticated, unique and charmingly fresh. Yet there's a sweetness to the fragrance that appeals to women's noses immensely and it's suitably masculine without being curt. The somewhat mouthwatering scent is quite long lasting compared to many others in a similar category. But the unique freshness and incredibly well balanced blend of scents is what makes this so appealing. There's a fresh, powdery projection that remains many, many hours afterwards and the initial opening is citrus with a superbly blended hue of bergamot. Sometimes it's good not to be complicated in the chemistry of things yet this fragrance has a woody base that supports the other elements in a way that surprises. It smells expensive, it retains a delicate edge for many hours after application, and it is worth taking the time to seek out - even if only to sample and compare. There's nothing that I can compare it to precisely and I believe it deserves high praise. I would consider this to be a moderately priced scent that could easily be sold for twice the price. I'm not sure how the pricing sits elsewhere in the world but I went out of my way to purchase the 3oz/90ml version which I feel is ideal. The best value is in the larger sizes and the 50ml version is just a little bit low on volume to be practical. In several blind tests that I conducted with both men and women, this fragrance was placed between the much more expensive Creed's 'Aventus' and Amouage's 'Imitation Man'. This is not like either of those two scents but sits in its own niche. It was also favored above Chanel's 'Allure Homme Sport' and 'Bleu De Chanel' by the same noses. It's rare to find such a pleasant fragrance that is both sophisticated enough to be worn in any company or situation but it's surprising how many women seem to find it enchanting. This is presently my favorite scent for any occasion.

Nearly finished my 50ml and I'm actually going to miss it more than I thought I would (not re-buying due to the inflated discontinued pricing). Not my favorite fragrance in the world at all, not by a long stretch, and this is definitely inferior to the OG Bottega Veneta Pour Homme EDT, but this is such a pleasant, pine needle, spa-like experience and perfect for casual nights spent outdoors. This fragrance works better when you're outside, somewhere with a breeze, where the sillage can softly waft around (like Terre d'Hermes EDT, this smells best in the air than when you smell it directly off the skin). Bitter citrus, pine, cedar, and a mentholated eucalyptus type accord. Linear, but that's not a knock at all, suits the type of fragrance it is. Does not smell like any of these at all, but if you like traditionally masculine fragrances (and are okay with the mentholated eucalyptus type accord in this), like Terre d'Hermes, the OG Bottega Veneta EDT, Platinum Egoiste, Guerlain Homme, etc, then you will most likely enjoy this as well. Caveat: DO NOT buy this at the current, majorly inflated, discontinued prices it's going for. This is an EDC strength fragrance, and the actual scent, while very pleasant, is not worth the hyper-inflated prices. There are plenty of better-smelling fragrances at the same price or cheaper. However, if you find it for cheap somewhere, then go for it. 7.5/10

A nice, refreshing and natural citrus fragrance but perhaps a little over-priced for what it is. Essence Aromatique is fairly soft, with light projection and about 3 to 4 hours of longevity. The citrus notes are clear and bright, and the Siberian pine is soft with a slightly sweet edge, and it makes for a very nice combination while it lasts. The drydown features a clean, soft and dusty patchouli accord supported by cedar wood and it’s a good base for the composition as it keeps everything along a natural, easy keel. But for the price of this stuff, something seems to be missing. While it’s nice, there’s nothing particularly impressive about Essence Aromatique, and its performance is nothing to write home about. After all, it’s an Eau de Cologne concentration, which usually means it will be short-lived and on the soft side. Overall, it’s a pleasant, refreshing citrus fragrance of good quality, but it doesn’t really offer anything new. Final rating, 7/10. Add half a star if you’re into presentations, as this one is housed in a beautiful, frosted bottle which looks great on display.

This fragrance is a serence, woody, spa fragrance. It has a shot pine needles on the wind, earthy musky patchouli, a hint of incense, the bergamot lives in the heart and gets heated up by the skin. I adore the cedar, it is dry and reminds me of being in a cedar walled sauna, the kind with rock steam, that combination of dry woods but there's humidity in the air bringing out the scent -- it's just a lovely meditative fragrance, very understated, no harsh woody iso e or ambrox. I feel like there is a bit of earthy violet and rose in here with the patchouli, and a fuzz of tonka bean/coumarin, too. I love the fir needle essential oil over cedar accord, it is so beautiful. It wears like a "cologne" in terms of strength as it has what we call "intimate sillage" but I can easily detect this around my person, and it lasts a good 4 to 6 hours. This can be worn by anyone that enjoys woody natural fragrances like this, I highly recommend this! I think this is discontinued, but isn't too expensive ... yet.

Have just bought this. Hadn’t even heard of it until I was on Fragrantica earlier and it caught my eye as something I’d like. Just went to try it, loved it on my skin (as I pretty much knew I would) and bought it once I could smell the heart and drydown. Normally I’ll wait for ages considering a fragrance purchase, as I have so many, but this blew me away! Totally get the ‘spa’ comments. Smells beautiful on my skin (I’m female) in an earthy but clean, aromatic way (eucalyptus/menthol/incense) if that makes sense? Am just slightly concerned about longevity and projection as it’s starting to fade or maybe I’m just getting used to it. Huge thumbs up though for the smell- will have to see what the husband thinks when I get home later. Unusual, refined, original and sexy- would highly recommend. **** Update: returned the unopened bottle the same day. Because of the abysmal longevity :-( The six or so large sprays I’d put on at lunchtime had faded and then disappeared within 90 minutes. No thanks.

I find this one interesting as I rarely reach for it most of the year,, and even don’t really care for it that much in that time frame as well. However, my region is quite humid and often in the 90s in the summer, and this is one of the only fragrances I can wear in the high heat, and it feels totally different in that environment. It has a perfect mix of aromatic interest from the patchouli, and a dry sourness from the pine and bergamot that works so well in the heat. Gets more compliments than you would expect from women as well despite the fact it has a more classic mens cologne feel. Performs surprisingly well for the notes without smelling synthetic at all, which is impressive in my experience as well.

Try this if you liked the original Pour Homme as it retains the original's DNA. A fresh opening of bergamot blended well but kept restrained with the addition of the pine note found in the original Pour Homme. While the original felt 'sticky', 'resiny' and stayed close to the skin; this is more airy, peppery and effervescent. The aromatic nature of this fragrance means it does get picked up quite easily but then it becomes soft and unobtrusive very quickly. Short longevity. Good everyday scent. To me it smells like a modern, stripped down, less formal version of Chanel Pour Monsieur. Perhaps if you blended PM with Acqua di Parma's Colonia Intensa.

Pleasant but quite weak, in the same vein as TF Neroli & the Zegna line, but with weaker ingredients, hence price difference, a good stalwart cologne(esque) type affair, longevity very short, but has a classic undertone, great for a spritz before work, would work well with layering, not a standout juice, yet there's something to it* my vote still sits with Costume National Soul, & Ermenegildo Zegna Indonesian Oud * (sex night and day, tickles the ladies olfactory bulb, keeps them hovering, they loosen their garments and well, it's not my birthday is it?) ~back to this, clean, classy, cologne styled scent, first & last purchase.

A calm, tranquil, classy and invigorating fragrance. Its somewhat similar to Orange Verte in the opening but turns floral. Feels like it could be a cross of Orange Verte and SMW but without the fancy ambergris and musk accords. Ultimately drying down to elegant floral patchouli woods. I absolutely love the bitter, fresh, clean aura it creates around you. Soapy and almost something Prada like. Fragrantica is missing a few notes. Top notes - Bergamot, coriander & pine Heart notes - White rose, tonka bean & vanilla Base notes - Patchouli, sandalwood & cedar

An awesome simple green, fresh and clean scent. Very masculine. Elegant and Exquisitely master-blended. Its mostly a Pine and Patchouli scent, that i visualize my self around a forest and water. An outdoors mature scent. It gets noticed. I bought a bottle. My lady says its smells like sex in the woods that aroused her. This is the best green scent to date. Try it out or buy it, you won’t be disappointed. They should of put this one on the designer counters also, it would of made more money. Shouts out to the perfumer that did this one. Future Classic

This is a quite enjoyable phantom of the original pour homme, where they removed the darkest and heaviest notes, yet still recognizable with the same pine and patchouli from the rest of the line. I absolutely love the original, and although I wear it year round, this is a nice light alternative with a similar, but non-leathery accord. Performance is decent, especially for an EdC concentration. A solid offering that I would put just behind the original, but ahead of the extreme version which I felt was a bit rough compared to the rest.

Tried it today for the second time on my skin. It starts with a sharp and exuberant citrus scent. I really like the opening actually since it is very refreshing! Shortly after, it settles to a mellow and pleasant combination of citrus and pine notes. It has that classic vibe of an eau de cologne; which I really like. On the downside however, it may be smelling plain and dated at times. Overall, I'd say it is a pleasant and mellow citrus-pine scent that has a classy and classic vibe around it. Good longevity and moderate projection.

Closer to the original Aromatique then to Bottega for Men. It’s soft, muted and light. No particular note stands out; it’s very well blended albeit comes across as mainly citrus and pine. As nice as it is, there is nothing about this that grabs me. It’s easy to wear, refined and expensive smelling, it’s just hard to name other adjectives that describes it. More work appropriate than anything, as it’s a little too boring for an evening or date night fragrance. I will say the dry down is very nice. I give this one a solid B grade.

What a surprise, another mis-represented fragrance due to fake reviews. This needs to stop here on fragrantica! This scent has tremendous longevity, moderate projection and gets noticed. It starts out with a powerful spa like aroma, potent enough where you do get some pine coming through. but, it settles into a more aromatique day spa scent with lavender, citrus and burning incense. It is bright and dark at the same time. Creed's Royal Water is close, but this is superior.

Very nice. It's clean but interesting and avoids the usual boring "freshie" (I hate that term) and sporty vibe. A simple but effective mix of citrus and pine. A good summer scent and a nice thing to wear with a crisply-ironed shirt. Does it last? Not especially - but rarely does anything last on me. Hey, I'd try a bottle. Actually, I sort of did already. It reminds me very much of the bottle of Penhaligon Blenheim Bouquet I used to have. Same notes, same vibe.

I have to agree with mostly everyone that has reviewed this fragrance, it's a great smelling scent, the mixture of Italian bergamot. Indonesian patchouli and Siberian pine and woods are outstanding but it doesn't last, so I have no choice but to decant it and apply during the day. I just like the fact that this fragrance is unique, I've had people ask me what I'm wearing.

This is a bad mfer. Classic. Simple. Masculine fresh at its best. My date kept asking what I was wearing. I must of told of her the name 100 times man. Even the waiter damneer lost her mind at the restaurant. Guess what happened later that night when we got to her home. Its fresh and simple but dont well. It Must works well for my skin

It's nice, feels like a summer evening scent, formal but fresh. The patchouli gives it some backbone and makes it more mature leaning (I would have guessed incense and leather in here too but they arent listed). Feels very much. inline with the others from this house, just less leather focused and more pine/citrus.

The scent very well resembles the classic/ simplistic bottle design.. I can see it well in a cologne/ after shave. It is a woody fragrance boosted with citrus notes to improve its projection. It strongly reminds me of Vetiver by Guerlain and Eau Sauvage by Dior and is suitable for elderly men above 50 years of age.

Simplicity and Sophistication. Fresh, Clean, conservative and masculine. In the same vein of Creed Royal Water to my nose. Bergamot, pine, modernized barbershop style versatile scent. A fragrance for a well groomed gentleman.

Very pleasant/slightly synthetic smelling / spring/summer days. A change of pace! ...soft, smooth, clean masculine...did I mention smooth! lasts maybe 4 1/2 to 5 hours on me...good blend!
