So here it goes: Things that this scent is: Strong Deep, resinous green Woods/Leather Old school vibes Modern For cool weather unique deep dark Things that it isnt: Sweet subtle repetitive unisex I've got to say - no matter the source - this could very well be the top winter scent in existence (for those who like the strong masculine, retro, heavy leather/green vibes). I have so much respect for this house for releasing this scent. Take a look at the best sellers in 2017 - dylan blue, invictus aqua, sauvage, BDC - this has simply no resemblance to any of those scents. What a refreshing change of pace. I hope bottega veneta continues to march to their own drum beat! END EDIT I too bought this based on the review. What can I say? She’s hot. Now that that’s out of the way - I remember purchasing the original Bottega Veneta when it first hit shelves. I remember liking it at the time - but not loving it. I have since lost the bottle (how does that even happen?) - so I figured “what the hell?” This is a strong - fir resin dominant scent. This is without question a masculine scent. It has an old school vibe to it - which is intriguing. And while yes, it may pay homage to the OG’s from the 80’s, this is by no means an old school scent. This is deep - dark and full of character. It’s actually a shame that this sucker has been out for a year - with little to no recognition. Instead we look at 1 million lucky - and the like. This shit is the real deal. This is a statement - and a very good smelling statement. The leather and deep greens make for a wonderful experience. Frankly, I think this is one of the best releases over the last 3 years. You won’t get the sweet sauvage/Dylan blue/invictus bullshit out of this one. Instead, you get pure, raw heat. 8/10

I tried this juice 2x and found myself enjoying the aromatic smooth powdery vib with a slight leather blend. The leather note is very linear making this juice more mainstream not that outdoorsy pungent smell. Tonka bean and pine needles gives it a sweet green blend. Mingling amongst all the other notes is a woodsy vib adding to the dark smooth aroma. Longevity is decent being a (Parfum?)...I found a lot of fragrance these days calling their juice EDP vs EDT more for marketing purposes.Silage is moderate overall. Finally, I bought this juice because it's not over bearing yet it's not too mainstream. The aroma and quality of this fragrance is closer to a niche fragrance. Price is excellent...7.5/10

To me this is a 75%/25% mix of Fan Di Fendi absoluto and Enrico Coveri pour homme. I know the Fendi has oud in it and this doesn't but the dry down of the Bottega comes so close to the Fendi. The opening instantly reminds me of the Coveri, just denser because of the use of fir resin rather than pine. It lasts on me about 8hrs and besides the initial blast the projection quickly turns into a close nice scent bubble. I'm interested to layer this with the Fendi and maybe even with the Coveri, all three just like blast lol. Unfortunately all the of these are discontinued All in all its a lovely masculine scent. 8/10 50ml bottles available from fragrancebuy right now.

Oh man i fell in love with this fragrance! i wont lie, when i first smelled it out of my small decant i didnt like it but with more testing it grew on me. I started noticing the tonka bean which is very prominent in this scent and i like that, most leather scents are too harsh and dry, this on the other hand is so well balanced that it retains that strong leather scent mixed very well with the Cardamon.On my skin it lasts forever,i applied it on my skin before going to bed and when i woke up the next morning that smokey sweet leathery smell was still on me.I will save every penny for a bottle of this juice because it is awesome and worth the price. 10 out of 10.

I would say a mature mans scent but I won't. I love cardamom. And I love how it mixes with the other stronger notes in the opening and heart. To me this is an old world fragrance, like a classic one, but done in a modern way. You know that rap song, "I'm a classic man". The world is changing, but some things will never change, like fine suits and fragrance. This is also an elegant but very macho scent. It's like it has bigger balls then Gentlemen Only, Pi, Hugo Boss, Armani, etc. Not to say the others aren't gentlemen, but this one is definitely more macho. I bought this last October and wore it to a friend's wedding. I was very disappointed in its performance. It's a beautiful spicy woody fragrance but it was barely noticeable. Fast forward to late June and I've been sat in the sultry heat of the evening in my bedroom enjoying very much the two sprays I put on my forearms over three hours ago. I think I'll try this out again tomorrow. I don't find this fragrance overly heavy or obnoxious to wear in the heat, but I don't think I'll be overspraying, just in case. So glad I've given this very classy, masculine gem a new lease of life within my collection.

The review below me is very accurate, its like the first release was a bright summer day, the extreme one was a cloudy day and then the EDP is a dark and stormy night, they got stronger by the releases, i like them all very much. This one is as mentioned a strong leather spicy scent that stays almost the same from first spray until it vanishes, lasting power is at least 8 hours tho mostly as a skin scent on me.

Class, sophistication, noble, macho with a class, pride, confidence, calm, serene and elegant! The masculine master piece of our generation, period. The only leather perfume that is wearable from a perfumery art view! Because fragrances like tf or other leather based are scents and not perfumes, because wearing a leather jacket is a leather jacket scent not a perfume!

I do enjoy this. Nice confier centric woody fragrance with subtle spice. Reminds me a bit of Russian Leather from Memo. The only thing that is a knock for me is the performance. It sits pretty close to the skin and has just a moderate lifespan in a single wear. For an edp or Parfum concentration, I need more. But I enjoy the fragrance while its there, quite a bit.

A very mature older man scent. This is a spicy more forward version of original BV. Great to wear with suits and formalwear, not good for casual or street wear. Better in the fall/winter and at night. Performance and projection are very good. I’ve heard that this has been discontinued and it’s hard to find so if you do, regardless of price, snap it up.

The smell is great - dark, with fir, but don't worry, it's not green. Leather notes are clean, not dirty animaly. The cardamom brings some nice warmth. I loved the smell of this perfume. I dislike the product, not the way it smells. It lasts, I kid you not, 3 hours, and projects for 20 minutes. An absolute joke for a brand so expensive and luxurious.

Beautiful leather, woody, and elegant fragrance. Much better than the EDT. It has a sensual fougere quality about it. As many have mentioned, performance here is an issue. After 10 minutes, it becomes a skin scent. However, it does linger for about six hours on my skin. Shame it is discontinued.

Very very very good, the best of the range, the king! Smells very handsome and very expensive, lasts long, the bottle looks great also. The first perfume from BV which I really want to have in my collection. Perfect for daytime and evening - very balanced and made with high precision. Applause!

Reassuringly familiar courtesy of the aromatic woody core found in all Pour Homme eaus, Bottega Venetta’s Pour Homme Parfum is a sophisticated and intense evolution of the signature scent. An old-world fragrance to my nose - slightly sweet, slightly powdery, very linear - there’s definite cardamom and leafy green cedar in the opening that turns to resinous pine and labdanum, all built upon a foundation of richly aged leather and sticky tonka bean. Quite intoxicating really. Potent, very masculine and suited solely to cool weather. Less is definitely more with this one. I get 8-10 hours wear on my skin (days on clothes) with heavy-cum-soft sillage. 6/10

I have tried & like all of them. Beautiful masculine fragrances but.. Bottega Veneta Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Bottega Veneta Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extreme Bottega Veneta Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Parfum The edt and the edt Extreme stay very close to the skin and have low moderate longevity which is very important for me. The only scent that lasts more is the edp version which is worthly buying IMO if you care about the performance. I'll try this edp again. Leather, fir resin and mild cardamom arer here. Cedar and tonka are supporting the blend. Very manly scent.

A pretty nice masculine mix of dark woods a bit of dark leather, fir and a clean spiciness. Probably good as an inoffensive cold winter, office or bar scent. Think where you might wear la nuit de l’homme, but for a more mature gent. I managed to find a 50ml of this discontinued one at a discounter recently and went for a blind buy. So it’s still out there occasionally. That said I wouldn’t personally hunt for this as it’s nice but I don’t think it’s spectacular and sits very close to the skin.

Ideal scent for the winter and festive season coz of the pine and leather. Classy AF and a good choice when well dressed. Perfect companion with a leather coat. However as others have said the performance on skin is not good. The solution is spray your shirt collar on the lapels. You'll get whiffs for most of the day. Btw It must be discontinued coz I'm seeing it go for over $300 on ebay with limited supply.

I confirm a previous comment: it has an old school vibe, but well made fragrance. Sweet spices bomb (cardamom), very similar to Bvlgari Man in Black Orient (but not as vulgar as MIB Orient), and a background of Bel-Ami. That said projection is shameful (especially for a "parfum" flanker). It's a no-go for me given the price. Next in line please! Edit: the drydown is very elegant, much more than the opening.

I bought a leather jacket mainly for this scent. It’s definitely masculine, piney, fresh spicy, kinda like the extreme version but more masculine with the cherry pepper note. This will get you noticed cuz it’s scent lean towards niche quality. If you want to smell different from the young crowd and smell more like Steven seagul then definitely thy this out. Thanks demi

Non il mio tipo ma sulla mia pelle si amalgama a perfezione. Gradevole,maschio,senza eccessi e tollerante da chiunque. Ci piace.

Great scent but you'll need a decant to reapply if you want longevity. No big deal for me because I love the top and mid notes. Being discontinued the eBay hawks want you to make their car payment at $350. Not worth it. $125 tops.

The ultimate fall and winter fragrance. The same DNA as Spicebomb but without the cloying sweetness.

I was recommended this perfume at the counter when I bought a bottle of Salvatore Ferragamo's Incense Suede and was complaining about the Terre de Hermes I had been sampling. Obviously the man at the counter understood I wanted a complex scent that kept giving, nothing too overpowering, but still with an edge of drama. The initial bouquet is very airy with the cedar being very crisp. As it settles on the skin I get a crushed cinnamon and the cardamon notes. After the dry down, a softer cedar comes through with moments of leather. Really a gorgeous transition though it is as everyone else says a very linear perfume. I am still searching for a sharper, more natural cedar. . . Would recommend as a full bodied perfume that doesn't blow your face off but ultimately a v conservative number.

Initial spray is nasty, dirty and overpowering. As it calms down it gets better, still far too old for me (I’m in my 30’s). It’s very heavy on spice and woods, but without any notes of sweetness or elegance to balance it. I usually like the smell of fir, but here it’s quite heavy/dirty. Yeah there are a so many better winter/autumn scents out there. Ii will give it credit for having good quality ingredients, it’s far from synthetic, but its just not for me.

It's nice, warm, dark, earthy, slight subdued sweetness, quiet performer. I guess the Varvatos Dark Rebel duo would be the best comparison, but this cousin sheds the bad boy vibe for a bit more tame, cozy elegance. It seems to sit very close to the skin, but remains as a detectable skin scent for a long time. You just have to put your nose directly on the point of application. I can still smell it after sleeping all night with nose directly on wrist. I think they call that "sneaky longevity", so I think Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Parfum has sneaky longevity. I care much more about longevity than projection, but by longevity I mean I want to be able to catch whiffs of it several hours into the wear without having to directly sniff points of application. I expect the sprays to the front chest area of my shirt to waft up 6 inches to my nose repeatedly over several hours. It felt like Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Parfum was struggling just a little to do this, but when I would put my coat on to go outside, before zipping it the jacket would serve to focus the scent together and push it up to my nose. I liked that.

This one is crazy! It reminds me of Spicebomb's older brother. Only instead of pepper, this stuff relies on Fir Resin. The Fir Resin is absolutely the dominant note with leather followed by cardamom. This does not remind me of Dark Rebel at all. Dark Rebel is a pitch black scent. Its just dark, deep and bold in every way, shape, and form. Bottega Veneta Parfum is dark and bold as well but holds another spicy dimension which is almost very invigorating. The color it gives me, is a really dark green tint. Its not quite black like Dark Rebel, but its still bold in its own right. This stuff doesn't play around. This is not for everyone, but it is for the man who wants to make a statement regardless of what everyone else thinks. Honestly, this is the PERFECT winter-mountain scent. The picture this paints for me is sitting on an old leather couch, somewhere far away in the cold, snow-capped mountains watching a movie at night with the fireplace crankin'. This is art in a bottle.

I tested three of these: Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extréme Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Parfum They are all quite similar (to my nose), but I decided to go with the parfum as it was a bit deeper and richer. It's strong. If you love leather, then smell this. They all have the leather note, but I think this one probably has the most. If you don't like spicy, rich, leathery fragrances, stay well away. It's quite linear, doesn't change much. I keep sniffing the bottle as I walk past it. Too many sprays would fumigate the local population, it seems to last hours, and has staying power. People would probably say it's not for hot weather. I think it would be fine as long as you did maximum one spray, or even less. And maybe wear it under clothes. This is *not* a fresh fragrance. Of course, this is just my opinion, I'd like to hear what other people think.

I'm so excited for this one! I work for Coty and my other employees and my boss said to me "how did you find out about this" or "what are you talking about!" so I'm very grateful to fragrantica for knowing things even before we do haha. In reference to the fragrance, I had to do a double take because I could've sworn that it had the same notes in it, but it doesn't! Instead of pine and juniper it's just fir resin. They took out the patchouli, bergamot, and clary sage and put in new additions of tonka bean, cardamom, and cedar. Very interesting. Hopefully the fixatives were used in a better way and this projects and lasts the more/longer. Sidenote: Kinda funny how the mens is getting a Parfum but the women's doesn't have one yet. Maybe in the future, but we did just release the Eau Sensuelle. *shrugs*

Wow, this is something special indeed. I'm a big fan of the original pour homme, and this is related but not identical. Thankfully, my favorite part of the original is still present: the pine/fir-capsacin-and (of course) leather combo, but still different enough to justify both. Doesn't project as well as the original either, but is a thicker presence with a definite richness. I disagree with any relation to John Varvatos Dark Rebel, that one is sugary-tobacco and nothing like this. I would like to say the pour homme feels like a serious man on a set path in life of his own choosing, and the parfum is representative of his arrival in success.

The performance is excellent for this specific fragrance style. It stays close to the skin and feels like a uniform. The trail is gentlemanly classy with prominent notes of smoky woods and dark leather. Remember those "dark and heavy" fragrances family friends wore when we were little at gatherings? Accompanied with leather jackets, cigarettes and slicked hair. This is the kind of fragrance that brings to mind those old school perfumes. The men mentioned above probably wore Chanel Antaeus and Zino Davidoff. Well, Bottega Veneta parfum drew inspiration from those masterpieces.

In the same vein as Fougere Nobile and Ford's D'Argent. The same tonka composition is used here, except this gem is greener and has the original Bottega Pour Homme's spicy, dry and leathery DNA. I'm not a fan of tonka or sweet stuff, but I'm considering picking this one up as it is better than the two previously mentioned above. Of course its discontinued now, so finding this one is like finding a needle in a haystack. Ludacris how people are comparing this to spicebomb or even Man in Black Orient. Smells like neither of those things.

Had the PARFUM version tucked away for a rainy day. Today was that day...even though it isn't raining :) Basically Armani Code Special Blend all over again. Maybe done just a tad bit more refined. I think the Armani wasn't a very mature fragrance. I blind bought this for $160 ! OK but nothing amazing. I can do better for less money. Performance with the parfum Average to OK. Edit : NOT EVEN EDT PERFORMANCE. I have a right mind to send them a bitch letter but why excite myself. PURCHASED DIRECTLY FROM THIER STORE. PATHETIC !

Probably the best designer scent launched recently. If you like resinous,green,leathery,mostly dry scents..this is it. It smells nothing like any of the copy cat stuff out there now. Definately a cool/cold weather scent. Dressy and mostly evening wear. I am using this as a sig scent this fall/winter despite a fairly large collection. I give this a 9 out of 10. Im a fan of Bel Ami..(not the vetiver flanker)..this is not as dry as BA..but amazing. Dont buy this as i want the whole production of this scent...lol

To me, this perfume everytime i wear it , it reminds me of winters cool air..i mean a very cold weather.I associate it with heavy wool clothes, snow and whiskey or rum by the fireplace...This thing screems WINTER TIME IN SNOWLANDS...No, women and people dont seem to enjoy this one and everytime i wear it , someone says "oh who's wearing heat lotion" and thats probably because of the pimento..Anyway i like it a lot but only when the temp is below 10...

It opens up quite sweet. Sweet, almond-like with a barber shop twist. This evolves into resins, both pine and labdanum (as I suppose) with sweetness still doing well and the leather in the background. The leather starts getting bolder and stronger. Actually this is even more leather-y than Extreme version - and it should be so. Longevity is quite dissapointing - on my skin about 8 hours, sillage is medium. I like it. The best one from the line? Yes.

I get a similar vibe to L’Homme Ideal Eau de Parfum with this. Has something reminiscence to cherry coke. It is slightly sweet, a touch powdery and a little leathery (which comes across as smokey). Performance is very reserved but I do get little whiffs of it for 4 hours+ but general sillage is very low. Last on my skin over 8 hours. Not going to set the world on fire, just very easy to wear and perfect for the office.

Wearing right now for testing. Perfect for the cold season, i feel like i have an invisible woody blanket that keeps me warm, it is spicy and very masculine, with some elegance and class. Note breakdown does not refer incense... It is exactly the same as Spiritual Guide by Padmini minus the heaviness and some balsamic element. 8/10

Yes!! this is very good!!, similar to the original just more concentrated, a little sweeter and less of a synthetic. Masculine. Its strong and classy. This should get you noticed.
