Colpo di Sole

Surprisingly colpo di sole was one of the best for me if not the best. To me it smelled exactly like the bottega veneta boutique. That rich dusty marble kinda clean floor mixed with the smell of leather goods and the glass displays all around which I kept smelling everytime i visited the boutique way back before the came up with this perfume line. For ne The whole boutique smelled rich and luxurious without trying really hard to stand out with unusual notes. Which what this perfume is delivering to me. I get it smelled sweet to most but trust me once you dive into it you would absolutely adore this fragrance and how deeply expressive it is. I dont see it as an uplifting kinda scent i see it as a deep luxurious but soft at the same time, quite luxury kind of scent which is what bottega is all about e to me this perfume is the closest to the vibe of the place

This is a scent style I enjoy... it’s easy to wear, clean and addictive. It’s round, voluptuous yet subtle, floral, very softly suede-like and simply beautiful. It’s also clean...but not the astringent detergent clean—the abstract scent of an expensive holiday locale clean. In sunny LA weather, clean is more than a style... it’s the desired vibe. We hunger for things that are alluring yet uncomplicated. This fits the bill in spades. This particular scent also lasts. I got 8 hours. I think the collection as a whole is interesting. You have to be in the mood for something that isn’t quite mainstream. The bottles tell us something about the juice...they are quirky and natural smelling. Marketing copy also tells us they use a heavy dose of organic ingredients.

I've been thinking about this fragrance the last 3 months since I first smelled it and it's very high on my priority buy list. The price is off-putting enough for me to think it over for that long but it is the most gorgeous summer fragrance I've ever smelled. A fresh floral that immediately puts your imagination to an expensive 5*+ hotel at a private beach where you're taking your very first swim. I can't stop thinking about this fragrance and I would even gatekeep this from others and I usually never do that. That's how special this one feels to me.

I completely agree with the person below .. and I’m glad I’m not crazy for thinking this smells exactly like Bottega boutique. This is pure elegance in a bottle and I need it asap. This is completely unisex and so easy to wear.

Tom ford soleil blanc but better, at a price. Great tropical scent for warmer climates. Carribean, Miami etc. Wish I could find this in the discounters

I have to admit I was enchanted by the presentation of this new collection whilst browsing in Harrods. I sampled them all and this was by far by favourite. An easy, breezy wearable musk with hints of citrus from the bergamot and an elegant green touch from the angelica. Sure, this is not going to set your world on fire, which you might hope for, for the price. But, if understated class and quiet luxury are your thing, and if like me you're a sucker for a gorgeous bottle - you might love this! This scent for me depicts going to work on a cool but bright early Spring day, wearing a crisp cotton shirt, some tailored trousers and some elegant leather loafers. You are carrying a Bottega bag in the signature woven Italian weather and a discreet cloud of Colpo di Sole billows around you, like a whisper!

Very much orange blossom laundry detergent with a hint of yankee candle sun and sand. I’m guessing it’s got a strong balance of salicylates for florals but it lends itself to detergent and sunscreen. The musk is a little sweet, not overwhelmingly gourmand. This would be perfect for a summer afternoon along the coast or an evening dinner in the spring. Not very inspiring or wowwing but reliable and nice. Agreed w another reviewer who said “luxury cleaning product” Coming back this, there is a definite coconut/lactonic backing to this fragrance that is actually quite pleasant.

Colpo Di Sole is my favourite from the new Bottega Veneta line. It shares the same trio of notes (osmanthus, musk and vetiver) as Acqua Sale so shares a similar scent profile. Colpo Di Sole is so sunny and smooth with the herbaceous pollen filled osmanthus and angelica with the smooth ambrette and soft musk - it’s smells like a yellow mimosa, sunshine and bumble bee pollen with a smooth but salty citric bergamot that’s like salty tequila shots with a slice of lime/beragmot. I really like it and wish I could justify owning a ridiculously expensive bottle one day.

This is really powdery but idk like a sweet dry. Omg smell exactly like smarties candies. EXACTLY LIKE THAT

They all have similar woody and maybe slightly powdery/musky dry down because of the common accord of vetiver. Colpo di Sole- I think it is similar to Acqua Sale minus the saltiness. It opens with #citrus of bergamot and it brings a lot of orange blossom with it. This is just like a common and pleasant neroli #perfume that all the #houses have. It reminds me @guerlain neroli plein sud, or Neroli Oranger from @matierepremiereparfums . Again it dries down with musky and woody #skin scent. Mostly #masculine leaning, but could be unisex, long lasting, overall 6/10.

Colpo di Sole opens with this beautiful burst of juicy citrus that instantly feels expensive, but what really kept me coming back was the creamy, sun-warmed dry down. It has this effortless elegance that never tries too hard. It somehow manages to feel both uplifting and comforting at the same time. Easy to wear, very refined, and strangely long lasting for such a light scent. I am not sure if the juice it self is worth the high price tag, but looking at the beautiful sculptural bottle does give me a lot of joy and I dont regret it for a second

The scent is dominated by notes of orange blossom, osmanthus, and vanilla. It’s hard to describe, but it reminds me of the lingering scent left after washing clothes with cheap detergent. As many people have pointed out, it also brings to mind the image of “sweet sunscreen.” That’s probably due to the lactones and orange blossom notes. Personally, I don’t care for the combination of orange blossom and vanilla, so that’s probably why I feel that way.

Meh. Wanted badly to love one from this new line because the bottles are so chic but imo they are all bland and a couple are borderline off putting. They smell like luxury cleaning products to me. They all lean masculine too. This one in particular does have a windex vibe to it as described by the user below me. Not exactly straight up windex but cleaning product vibes for sure. Definitely not my type of clean scent. Might work better on a man.

Sweaty windex! I have the sample set and this entire lineup is honestly horrible. The bottles are perfect pieces of art and the aesthetic side of me needed to fall in love with one of these. Forget love, I would settle for like! I tried so hard to convince myself but they are all just so outrageously upsetting to the nose. This is literal WINDEX! - 0/10

Quick update. Bottega is dropping a whole new line of fragrances. Colpo di Sole and other fragrances in this collection under Mathieu Blazy are no longer on the website. I don't know if they'll be discontinued. If it's on your wish list, you might want to reach out to a Botegga store directly. They also sell them at Bergdorf's.
