Parco Palladiano I: Magnolia

When something is inherently beautiful, it does not demand pretense or garnishment. Never soapy, never powdery, and never old-fashioned, with 'Parco Palladiano I' perfumer Michel Almairac has created a modern magnolia scent which is impeccably balanced. The composition as a whole offers little transition from first application to drydown, apart from the inner core of musc/amber and woods becoming more prominent after the upper magnolia blossom's scent has had time to scintillate away. It is a quiet, demure scent, one meant for contemplating the beautiful natural world around us. Sillage and projection are light, with longevity above average for this "eau de parfum". Although marketed unisex, this first scent in the collection leans strongly feminine due to its strong floral focus. I love its floral delicacy, the way it unfolds all its charm from a fresh citrusy start to a bright lilly-of-the-vally heart. One could think of an unpredictable cologne, but perhaps denser. It is wonderfully crafted.

Have a #1-6 discovery set of 10ml each, trying one a day this week... Beautiful "I'm sat in the garden near some orange trees" type of scent. Magnolia and orange start the show with some green lily of the valley coming in to give a bright airy feel. As it dries that orange gets a little stronger and the floral parts die down a touch and woodiness comes through. A great smelling unisex "cologne" as in 4711 style but more sophisticated and natural feeling.

I gotta hand it to them—this is a really good magnolia! Quite realistic and multifaceted even though it only has one "note," but I do prefer Jo Malone's interpretation a little more, and for $300 I'd rather get one of the Le Gemme Imperiali from Bvlgari.

A beautiful, fresh, green magnolia scent. The florals are airy and luminous, with a natural, dewy quality. Balanced by subtle woods and musk, it’s refined yet easy to wear. It is like spring morning in a bottle. Love it.

This perfume reminds me of spring - it is very fresh, not as in peppermint or ocean breeze fresh, but like a fresh plant. It makes me think of cut grass, salad leaves, flower stems, and a hint of a slightly sweet floral - the magnolia. I would say that the fragrance is very subtle and soft, and does not last very long. It is however very lovely and it smells natural. Like sitting by the pond, on a cold, bright spring morning, after a night full of rain.

MAGNOLIA + WOOD & AMBER ______________________________________________________ Today I visited the Bottega Veneta Corner in a luxury department store. There I was told that there are several other notes in this fragrance than magnolia. the 2 most predominant are Wood and Amber. It doesn't last too much, but there wasn't anything in this fragrance, which I wanted to last at all. Longevity: - 2/10 Sillage: - 1/10 All in all: 1 out of 10 subjective points -> I expected a lot more for that high price.

To me this fragrance is all about Lilly-of-the-valley. I didn’t even know about any other notes until I’ve read about them. After reading I searched for the other notes extensively. Still, magnolia is non-existent for me, pure Lilly-of-the-valley. This fragrance is the best from all of them, one of the bestsellers for Bergdorf Goodman. Followed by number 9 and 5.

Open like a real fresh magnolia. That lemony soapy flowery smell. Than in a few minuts turns into a more orange blossom version of palais jamais. Remains between palais jamais and azahar/saharienne Nice. Nothing special. All this line is anything of exceptional.

Paco I Classic waxy Magnolia interpretation, heady and full body. Not a fan of Magnolia, but it is complete, beautiful and modern one. Could be holy grail for Magnolia lover. Consider all floral in this collection properly build.

Save your money and just buy Chloe L'eau eau de toilette, so much cheaper and lasts so much longer.

So... hmmm... this is just a magnolia soliflore?
