Parco Palladiano IX: Violetta

this is definitely another love for me from Parco Palladiano line after Lilla VII. Can not wait any longer but decided to purchase one full size bottle for myself as i love it so much. To me, it can be unisex but more to feminine side. The opening give me a blast of green and abit sweet violet candy and strong woody vibe. after 30mins it turns out softer, sweeter, more powdery and the wood notes deem down, left a very cozy feminine scent on the skin. i really feel like i am wrapped in the purple flower garden. Every time I put on this perfume, I imagine it would be perfect in a black suite or black dress with red lips :)).

Violetta, the name itself is deceitful, no man would think a perfume with such a name, and with the purple juice would suit them. But it is. I think Violetta is a unisex perfume that leans towards masculine side. The opening is fresh floral, fruity fresh and pleasant, and when the wood and the musk kick in the violet becomes the balancer and turns this fragrance to (almost) masculine territory. Reviewer Yana Tommelise said that this reminds her of Cerruti, and she is not wrong. Very classy man will pull this off to the full effect, for more than 10 hours even.

Such a deep, dark violet fragrance. I love it. I’m reading this doesn’t last or it’s a skin scent, but on my skin it is very long lasting. Definitely unisex. This just takes me to a lush flower garden at midnight, with nightingales singing in the cool Spring air. Meeting the man you’re not supposed to be in love with under a full moon. It’s his scent and yours mingling together with the flowers and dew.....anyway, that’s where this takes me. Beautiful.

Starts out a sweet, candied violet...then wood emerges and becomes herbal. The sweetness is reigned in and a cooler aromatic scent remains. I love this! I can't recommend this line highly enough. You can try anything from this line and love it, even if it's not for you. ETA: half hour on there is now a soft, slightly-sweet, musky powder-like scent. This is a lovely perfume.

got this for my gf. Favourite fragrance for women I have ever smelt in my life. Always ask her to wear it. 10/10

So surprise surprise, violet is the star of this composition and seeing that I am not a fan of the note, I really like how it's been used here. It starts out as a rather green note that changes into a sweet floral, in it's final form. It is very slightly reminiscent (but not at all as tooth achingly sweet) of the candied violet note in Guerlain's Insolence with a fruity fresh sweetness. I also get strong woody notes in the opening that combined with the green-ness of the violets start the scent of leaning slightly more masculine, to my nose. But, as the notes develop the wood mellows out and the violet, as mentioned above, becomes a sweeter, lightly powdery floral note. A clean musk note adds an airy feel to the scent bringing it back into the unisex territory, maybe even pushing it a touch into the feminine side in the dry down, which is my favorite stage. Performance on this is great, much better than I expected for an airy fragrance with decent projection. This is a very elegant, airy, powdery clean scent, that has been beautifully executed in my opinion.

- Went perfume shopping with my date and out of several fragrances we tried, this was among the few that got our attention. - It's not easy to find, look for it in high end stores (Couldn't find this in my city). - The scent itself: light powdery green violet with just a little kick of woodiness. It is very gentle, unisex, classy. My date liked it so much she was thinking about getting a full bottle. - Spring and early fall, maybe summer if it doesn't get too hot in your area. The scent is cold, wouldn't use it in winter. - The color pink for the juice is a bit unfitting IMO, would have made it purple.

I like the violet scent of the perfume but totally hate the fact that it’s almost purely skin scent. It’s a blind buy just from the fact that I like Virgin Violet and this was on sale. Didn’t expect it to be so weak since some said it lasted 9 hrs. I guess my skin chemistry is to be blamed. Probably have to layer it with another perfume. Edit. Layering with amber and vanilla perfume seem to work wonder. I’ve tried with Grand Soir Edit. I must amend that the above was on skin. On clothing performance was very much different. The silage was moderate and the longevity was long lasting.

Does anyone else get saffron in the middle and drydown? I bought this blind knowing from the reviews it would lean somewhat masculine but that’s never a problem for me but I was definitely hoping for violets of which I hardly sensed and it’s unfortunate. The opening is my favorite part with most of the florals coming forward but it quickly changes into a spiced up musk and saffron makes its appearance. It does last long and it is very nice smelling but I prefer this on a man. BV is usually a winner for me but this time they missed the mark.

For some reason, this reminds me of Kelly Caleche.. but it is much more pleasant. I think I can still sense a leather note even if it is not listed here. Also could still feel it on my scarf after three days. Powerful stuff. I'd like a small bottle of this because quite frankly, it would take me forever to finish a full sized one!

I received my samples today and I'm wearing PP in a wonderful fresh cloud of musky and woodsy scents. The violet is not prominent right now but it blends perfectly and makes this fragrance totally unisex .Like being out in the fresh air under towering poplar trees. Refreshing !!!!!

Light and airy powdery violet. Really good sillage and longevity, despite all the lightness in this fragrance. Although i ended up selling it due to it being a tad too powdery, its nicely blended and like the rest of the line, truly unisex.

I believe only 2 of the 3 revues on this perfume, cause I know Bottega Veneta is a fantastic Perfumer !!! Another italian success !!!

Not my cup of tea. To sweet, to musky, don’t like much of both in a scent. I hope no man is going to wear this. To feminine in my opinion. But if you like musk .... go for it.

This is a definite pass for me and I honestly couldn't be more relieved! The Parco Palladiano line really has my number and I've splurged on two full bottles from it so far. I was legitimately concerned I was going to fall in love with Violetta too, but hoo boy, this is not my style at all. The violet in the first few moments was lovely, but it sweetens quickly and goes too far for my personal preference. There's something intensely syrupy about this one, in a way that reminds me of a lot of sweet rose-oud concoctions.This isn't a rosy perfume by any stretch, but it does share some qualities with those types of scents — More than Words by Xerjoff, Lancome's Oud Bouquet, Armani Rose d'Arabie, etc. Imagine the rose note in those fragrances has been swapped out for a violet note, and that's what this scent experience is like to me. I do get spice along the way, but frankly, the oudy-sweetness is a bit too distracting for my nose to really get a sense of what else is going on here. It's a scrubber for me, but Violetta could be a real gem for those who enjoy those deep, sweet, oudy florals!

I find this to be quite a different experience to most others. I think I must be super sensitive to oud. I love it but seem to detect it in lots of perfumes where it isn’t listed I smell it here, at the woody opening it smells quite strongly of oud mixed with violet leaves. But I also get wafts of sweeter violet. Sometimes the oudy wood is strong, sometimes the violet. I don’t find this to be a powder bomb as others have described. On the contrary; I wish it were more powdery. The oud/wood smell does become less pronounced and the violet is more prominent by contrast. However this is a violet/wood blend. If you are looking for a sweet, feminine powdery violet similar to Bvlgari Pour Femme or Insolence, you may be disappointed. However it is a lovely violet perfume in itself and I am glad to own it. Unisex leans masculine.

Run and get it on eBay Before I buy the other bottles found !

ok, hear me out, u know how when u eat food, say fries, with ketchup, the ketchup leaves a nice taste in ur mouth and it's all amazing, but the star of the show is still fries? the perfect amount of ketchup makes u want more, it's mysterious in mouth. now imaging eating ketchup with a spoon. this is how i feel about this fragrance, like i know that i really really enjoy violets, and i truly love this entire line and how natural and close to the real flower these scents see, but i feel like i didn't expect this to be THIS violety. i didn't know it was even possible to have a violet scent like this at all. i am left with a mystery that has already been solved but i still think about other scenarios and "what if"s. I'll be wearing it more to make up my mind though.

As a man this is very strikingly piercing fresh and just phenomenal. Elegant and refined. This scent smells very good. The only scent that smells like this and can compete with it is Le Labo Santal 33. Santal is just more complex and slightly masculine. Bottega Violetta is just way fresher as like my scents. Bottega Violetta is master blended, how violet should be done unisexly. It’s linear and not very complex though, but enough to make a statement. Its Natural. It is potent and very long lasting. You will making entrance when walking in somewhere, but it’s not harsh or obnoxious. It’s unisex, slightly feminine, but the right male can pull it off, I mean I will. I will buy for my collection

Fine leather, fresh violet with its green leaves, woods, cold air and a hint of musc in dry-down. Unisex - actually leaning masculine. Very special!

A very solid woody violet 💜 Powdery and sweet but only as much as violets are. Intense long lasting and structured. Not overly complicated.

Paco IX Another freaking beautiful floral from the line. Violet handsome, not overly feminine. Might be only violet men can wear.

Very cucumber-violet, and somewhat reminds me of Santal 33 without sandalwood...
